Just re-installed a fresh copy of CS6 Photoshop on my Yosemite Mac Book Pro and somehow the Adobe Application Manager does not work and therefore cannot verify my copy. What should I do?
I get a message saying that Adobe Application Manager may be damaged and that I should install a new version of AAM. But after downloading a fresh copy of AAM and doing the install, the program (AAM) still will not install. It is like an infinite loop!
Please, someone help!

I'm sorry but I am not on Creative Cloud. I'm still on CS6 and it was the Adobe Application Manager that wasn't working and I could not install the update to this application. My AAM version is: 8.0.0160
The link you provided was the update that I wanted to install but it does not work. A window shows up during that install that says:
We've encountered the following issues.
Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.
and then the link to the Adobe Support Advisor which leads to a "Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued" page.

Adding to what Jeff & Sheena shared, have you got any other product installed on this machine? Is that working fine ? Can you please navigate to the below mentioned location and advice if that worked for you or not.

Rename the above mentioned folder to SLStore_old and try and launch Acrobat . If this doesn't work , please make sure that we have full permissions on the folder mentioned in the kb article. (Note: this Kb article is only for sharing the location and the actual problem is not described in it)

How did you install Acrobat, did you install it as a part of Suite installation.
If it is a part of suite then deactivate suite uninstall Acrobat, Reinstall Acrobat using Suite media. Launch Photoshop first and Activate.
Then try launch Acrobat.

I have just downloaded a trial version of Photoshop Elements onto my Mac Book Pro (10.9.4). The installation to my hard drive went fine so I attempted to use Elements on an existing Photoshop file. I did not see the Elements option in my filter menu and am uncertain as to how to "add" the Elemnts to my existing filter choices. Please advise.
I'm sorry but it's very hard to understand what you mean. What filter menu? In which program? Do you mean you're trying to use PSE as an external editor with some other asset management program? Which one?

Paldeng, thanks for the suggestion. I've done all that. I can connect to the server, but apparently they are not recognizing my ID and password. I can use the server program if I don't go through Mail (using the same ID and password). My mother in another state with another provider has had the same email issue, as also my husband on his laptop who uses the same internet connection I do. His worked fine until we had it repaired at the Apple store and all the original programs reloaded (with the required updates, I assume). We can receive email in Mail, we just cannot send.
I contacted my service provider, and we went over my connections. They said it was not their problem and connected me with Apple, resulting in a charge to me because my warranty is long expired. Apple swears it is not their problem, it is the provider, so here I sit. My son was able to fix my Mom's Mail (she's 97) and got my husband's working also, until mine went out, by tweaking connection descriptions and ports remotely. The thing is, we had not messed with any of those settings, so what changed? I just did not want to bother my son again, as he has many other demands on his time.
Since this fiasco with the Mail v4.6 update, I'm wondering if something else was updated that works well with Lion and Mountain Lion, but does not work well with Snow Leopard and Leopard. I think the problem I had with the Mail update was that my Mail program had been renamed to Mail (original), and therefore was not being recognized by the update. Perhaps they had another tweak in there somewhere that is affecting outgoing mail connections? -

I have just installed iPhoto 11 and all of photos on my iphone have now all disappeared and ended up in my photo stream and the library in iphoto does not display all my pictures?? Can anyone help?

Is this iPhoto on your Mac? Are you referring to the photos that were in your iPhoto LIbrary prior to the upgrade to iPhoto 11? If so then apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.
If that's not what you're referring to then you should describe what is happening in more detail. Remember we can't see your Mac or your iPhone so need detailed and accurate descriptions of what you're experiencing.
Also we need infomartion like do you have an iCloud account and are you logged into it on all of your devices, iPhoto and Mac? do you have Photo Stream enabled on both.

You need to reinstall the printer driver, and set up the printer on the new hard drive.
The Canon site should have the driver. Download it and install.
Then go to Apple menu / System Preferences / Print & Fax and click the + (plus sign) and follow the directions. -

That was true for many years...but not anymore. Adobe started allowing window resize from any edge (not just any corner, but any edge) a couple of versions ago, on the Mac, to match Windows. On top of that, in OS X Lion, Apple itself now allows window resizing from any edge in any application. That said, even in Lion, I noticed that I had to move the Photoshop CS6 window edges away from the monitor edge before I would get the double-arrow resize pointer. Not sure if that's a bug. Also, if resetting workspaces doesn't work, you could try a complete Photoshop preferences reset. Start Photoshop CS6 and press Command+Option+Shift, and a reset dialog box should come up. Click OK. -

Hi, the last install dvd that came out for mac's was Snow Leopard,10.6.3. Lion is a download from apple. You cannot just install it over Yosemite. You would have to backup your drive to save files you want and do a clean install. You might want to look into getting more memory. WendiYou may have installed one or more of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it. It's been reported that some variants of the "VSearch" malware block access to the page. If that happens, start in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime, then try again.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. It may have come from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
Malware is also found on websites that traffic in pirated content such as video. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
