just gotten my ipad mini.. updated to 6.1.2.. Could not connect to my home WiFi ( both 2.4ghz & 5ghz )
Whenever i click on my network name in the ( Choose a network.. ) the grey circle icon just keep turning around for minutes and still can't connect..
tried hard reset, factory reset, reset of router and everything.. still can't get in my ipad to connect to wifi.. help please!
Does the iPad connect to other networks?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I have just updated the i06 software for my iPad and it will not connect to my home wifi network - all my other devices are able to connect to my wifi network.
I have attempted all troubleshooting actions suggested and nothing has worked. I have restored my iPad network and factory settings - Please help - this is frustrating meyou have to set up your router to solve th problem. first find and write down the ipad mac address.
then log on to your router using your laptop or any device that can connect to router at 192.168.0.1 in your web browser. please check out my posting about how to resolve the wifi connection problem.
i think the ios6 update has reset the networking but if you set up the router then you should not have the same problem any more. -

Thank youthat doesnt mean anything. they call connect separatly to your router. your need to try reseting your router and updating its firm ware. You phone connects to wifi just fine just not yours and that is the problem

My iPhone 4s will not connect with my home WiFi network. I have ios6 on my iPhone. The connection was working perfectly before I updated my IMac and my MacBook Pro to ios 10.8.2. I have had ios6 since I purchased the phone a couple of months ago. It searches for a network and finds them, but when it asks for my password, it will not accept the password. Have never had this happen before.

As long as you have two apple routers then it is up to you which way you do it.
You can connect them by ethernet and use it setup as roaming network.. for wireless.. it will simply be bridged on the router side. Ethernet is much the faster solution.
But if you want to use wireless link that is also fine if the range is not too great. Then ethernet to the computer.. so you effectively have a wireless bridge...
so, Cablemodem----Airport Extreme- - - - - - - -wireless link- - - - - Time Capsule------computer
Where the more solid lines are ethernet.. that is possible setup. And using the TC directly on ethernet to the computer will keep your backup speed good while also giving you hopefully your full internet speed so that works well. -

Although your other devices connect okay, it would be worth resetting your router by switching if off for disconnecting it from mains power for 2 minutes and then switch it on again.

I use a range of Apple devices at home, IPhone 4, MacBook Pro and IMAC.
They all see and connect automatically to my WiFi home network. I never experienced any difficulty with my DLINK router.
I have received a couple of days ago my new Ipad mini (Wifi+ cellullar), running IOS 602, but not equipped with a SIM card.
The device never connects automatically to the home WiFi network.
I need to open the Settings app, chose the WiFi submenu and select manually my "dlink" network. Then only can I work with my network.
I need to perform this each time I leave my home or I restart the device.
As I am experienced with Apple devices I noticed this behaviour right away and can confirm that the settings on the Ipad mini are the same as the ones of the IPhone 4. I am certain that this is a bug.
Any suggestion to overcome this major frustration?

How do i reset IPad Mini without restrictions passcode if i'm not connected to Icloud either?
I have an IPad mini, but i can't sync it with Icloud or even connect it because the icon in settings comes up a little faded. I cant reset factory settings because i need the restriction passcode and i have no idea what it is.
You can't access iCloud settings because of the restrictions passcode.
You can try restoring isung recovery mode. you will totally erase the iPad by using recovery mode and you will obviously lose everything on it. I hope that you have a backup.

Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.
