Just updated Pages to version 5.1 on App Store but Pages doesn't show that it's updated and cannot open a document

I just updated the software in Pages to 5.1 on my iMac OS (Mavericks) but the Pages Application is giving me an error saying that I cannot open a document recently updated until I perform a software update!
When I am in Pages and to go About Pages it still shows Pages 4.3 (1098)

You have 2 Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.1 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong one.

    What in particular didn't you like about Firefox 6?
    You can undo a lot of changes, either via changing settings or prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page or via extensions.

    Do a clean reinstall of the version that you want to use.
    Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

    * Uninstall your current Firefox version.

    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
    Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

    Hi,
    This is how App Store app shows now when an app is downloading. If you cannot download anything, go to Settings > iTunes & App Store, remove your Apple ID, and set it again. That should work.

    If you've updated to iOS 6 then the YouTube app is no longer included - you will either need to try one of the YouTube apps from the store (there is an iPhone optimised app from google, and other people have said that they are working on an iPad version), or try accessing the mobile version via Safari : http://m.youtube.com (you can create a home screen shortcut for the site)
    If you are on iOS 5 and you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders and you've tried searching for it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first homescreen to the righ), then is it hidden via Settings > General > Restrictions > YouTubebeing 'off' ?

    Hi, I have Aperture 3 installed. "About Aperture" reveals Version 3.1.1 1311300.1. I downloaded the 3.2.2 Update from the Apple website and it refused to run saying that I needed to use App Store to update. When I go to App Store, it says that everything's up to date. I bought Aperture 3 from the Apple Store, before App Store existed.. why is it asking me to go to App Store? Am I missing something important here?

    To be able to download the Update from the AppStore you need to delete the 3.2.2 Update of Aperture you downloaded from the Apple Store. Then you should be able to use the "Updates" Button in the AppStore Application Toolbar to update Aperture.

    I have done exactly what you said. When I check "update", a screen  drops down that asks that I enter my email address to continue........but i cannot find any way to do this.
    In the past, all I would do is check "update", and the update would take place. Since I upgraded to Mountain Lion, this has changed, and i do not know how to do this simple thing.......the app store shows an update is due to be updated, but i cannot find out how to do it.

    Ok, I've had this question too. To solve it you have to update the apps with iTunes.

    Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

    Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.

  • ITunes will not open on my iPod touch - jumps to App Store review page

    When I open iTunes on my 8gb iPod touch, it starts to load (you can see the 'music', 'video' 'search' etc options at the bottom) but before anything actually loads, the screen closes, and then re-opens always on an Angry Birds review page in the App Store. I can navigate away from this page to other areas in the Apps Store, but it is always the same when i try to launch iTunes.
    I have double checked my iTunes on my computer (PC - running XP)and i am running 9.2.1.5 so i believe i am up to date. I can sync no problem on my computer and can see everything in iTunes when i'm connected to it. Oh, and iTunes tells me my iPod software is up to date.
    I am hoping there is something i can try before having to revert back to factory settings. I have only had the iPod about 2 weeks. And i have tried shutting it off, turning it on, etc.

    If you click on Purchases icon in the toolbar you should find it listed with your purchases. There should be a progress bar showing.
    The file is over 4  GBs. How long it takes depends on your internet service speed.
