K800i and iSync won't sync my iCal correctly
Hi,
I've just bought a K800i Sony Ericsson phone and whilst it syncs fine with regards to contacts etc. my calendar events are all wrong. The times are consistently one/two hours out, some are just completely wrong, full stop.
I've checked my time zones and daylight savings etc. on both computer and phone and they are correct. Nonetheless i've also tried numerous changes there but something always ends up screwy.
Do they just not work together - should i stick with my Palm and mark/space still instead - that seems to be brilliant.

Hmm... sounds like there could be some corruption in one or more of your Calendars.
Are they local or subscribed ones? If subscribed, try unsubscribing from them and see if the problem goes away. If so, there's a problem with the subscribed calendar.

Entourage 2008 won't sync to iCal since 10.5.3
Hi,
Since I updated to 10.5.3, Entourage 2008 won't sync to iCal. I've already tried to uncheck the sync option in Entourage preferences and check it again using the "Entourage replaces iCal" option. Contacts seem to sync to address book normally. However, my Exchange calendar in Entourage won't replace iCal items. Both iCal and Exchange calendar in Entourage seem to have merged (which is a big problem for me). After this unfortunate merge, nothing is syncing in one direction or another...
Any help appreciated!Maybe this could be a better solution. Since the problem is only with Entourage, I did some diggin' and found out that there seems to be a problem with Entourage SyncService-Registration.
The easiest solution is:
1) Switch off syncing in Entourage and quit Entourage, iCal, AddressBook, Mail
2) Kill SyncServer (via ActivityMonitor)
3) Delete contents of Library/Application Support/SyncServices/Local/
4) Start iCal, AddressBook, Mail, Entourage
5) Switch on syncing in Entourage

I have just bought an iPhone 5 and it won't sync to iTunes. It says it needs iTunes 10.7, which I have downloaded and installed. I still get the error message and looking at "about iTunes" it says 10.6.3. What do I do??

i purchased two songs on my iphone and it did sync with itunes. Then i put the two new songs in a music folder and it won't sync the songs to the folder on my iphone. same phone same computer never had this problem before.
In iTunes, try signing out of your Apple ID & then back in: click on iTunes Store on the left sidebar of iTunes, click on your Apple ID on the top right, sign out, sign back in. Then try to sync your purchased music to your phone again.

I have created an iTunes account on my current computer for my daughters ipod touch and tried connecting my ipod nano and it won't sync and says that it is associated with another iTunes library so how do I merge the two libraries?
You do not merge libraries.
iDevices sync to one and only one computer.
If you want a single library, you manually move the content from one library to another... all content will still be associated with the Apple ID it was acquired with. -
Contacts and Calendar won't sync with Outlook
It seems that ever since the last upgrade to iTunes (8.1.1) my contacts and calendar won't sync.
I've tried all the steps in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1692 up to and including uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes but, nothing has worked.
Any help would be appreciated.The contacts and calendar do sync into another user account but _only some of the records_.
ZoneAlarm. And there is no difference whether it is running or not.
One odd thing:
In order to try to find which record(s) might be causing the problem I sorted my calendar on the "Date Created" field hoping to be able to go back in history and see exactly when things went wrong. Much to my surprise I found that the 13 most recent records did not sync to my iPhone. Then the next 2 did. Then the next 3 did not. Then 1 did. etc. -

Have you tried a different USB port and/or USB sync cable? What happens if you place the iPod into Disk Mode? Does it show up then?

Have you tried a "hard reset"? If so, I would take the phone to an Apple store. If not,
1. Make sure the phone is OFF
2. Hold the HOME button and then press the power button and HOLD IT.
3. Hold both buttons until the phone comes ON, goes OFF and come ON again (about 45 seconds)
4. Re-sync with iTunes.

I have always been able to sync my IE bookmarks from my desktop to Safari on my iPhone. Suddenly they are gone from my phone and they won't sync any longer. What am I doing wrong?
I have done this on numerous occasions but I think that my Iphone has a defect. After many tries, reinstalls, deletion of content, changing content to be stored on external hard drive, deleting itunes and cleaning computer I managed to get all of the songs on and things seemed okay for a while.
The problem returned about a week ago after downloading a new album from Itunes. I now have 12.5k of songs leaving 10gb spare on Iphone which should be more than enough room to operate properly. Last night it seemed to be dowloading ok (after doing all of the above again for the umpteenth time) this morning it revealed that it had just synched 2.5k of songs and 18gb of "other" on the contents bar. it wont synch now as it says its over capacity. So the 18gb of "other" would probably be corrupted data that means it must corrupt each song as it tries to synch it.
The 2.5k of songs it did synch are working on the Iphone as is every song in the library on Itunes. I did completely delete the new album I bought and redownloaded it from the store then tried to synch just that album and it worked fine.
Just about time to dump apple I think! -
I'm trying to back up my iphone from when I last backed up and it won't sync any of my songs. How do I sync it? Also, if I set up my phone as a new phone, will I lose all of my messages?
My 4S stopped automatically backing up at night when I updated to the new OS. I cannot manually force it to either. Possibly an issue with the new OS??
