Keeps trying to log in to icloud

After last update my I-pod tries to get me to sign in to my I-Cloud account about every 2 minutes.  Really annoying especially when trying to read a book.  Any Suggestions?

yes as long as I have an internet connection

  • I keep trying to log on to iCloud for the first time and every time I put in my password is says "Account not verified, check email"

so I check my email and there is nothing there? How can I resend my account verification email? HELP!

    Check your junk mail folder.
Go back to id.apple.com, and choose manage, enter your appleID and password.  It will take you to a page where your account info is displayed, and there should be a link to resend the verification email.

  • What to do when trying to log into my iCloud and it says "this apple iD is valid, but it's not an iCloud account"?

What to do when trying to log into my iCloud and it says "this apple iD is valid, but it's not an iCloud account"?

If you have not already created an iCloud account elsewhere you cannot do so on  PC, and that is the error message you will get. You can create an iCloud account on a Mac or an iOS device and then you should be able to sign into it in the iCloud Control Panel in Windows.

  • I once created an account and changed meanwhile my Apple ID. Now, when trying to log in to iCloud, I get the message: "You are already logged in". I cannot get access to the account in the way, that, for example, the options appear on the right hand side.

    What can I do?

    Thank you, pvonk, but:
To be more precise: I am talking about the logging-in within the System Preferences on my iMac.
When trying to log in with the old ID, I get no access, i.e. it says "Try again"...-Trying the same with the new one gives me the result I mentioned in my first question...
Now I found out how to do it: I had to erase all accounts-then I could sign in with my Apple-ID. Thanks again.

  • Mac keeps trying to log into a Windows server with old password.

My iBook for some reason is trying to log into a server at work we use to share files on (let's called it Xserver). I recently discovered through logging my network traffic on my router at home, that my machine was still trying to access XServer.rr.com Xserver.socal.rr.com even when I was not in the office. It doesn't stop trying, over and over and over it goes, trying to find XServer. I was wondering why my account on XServer kept becoming Locked Out (Windows Server), and this is obviously the answer because it's not using the correct password.
How can i find out where OSX is instructed to connect to XServer automatically and keep trying, and tell it to stop?

Look in SystemPreferences>Accounts>yourAccount...and then into Login items. see if this server login is set to be automatic there.
If it's just a wrong password you need to fix, look into Utilities>KeychainAccess...see if this server is in there, remove it. Or do Keychain FirstAid.
There is an automount function somewhere, but I forget where that is.

  • Email verification loop when trying to log in to iCloud

I am trying to log in to the iCloud on my pc first since all my photos, music, etc are on my pc. I will then be using it on my iPad 2 once I get everything set up. The trouble is that when I try to log in it gives me a message that I need to verify my email address. Once I check my email and verify the address I am sent to a page that says "email address has already been verified." Even though this confirms my email is verified I still get a message saying I need to verify before I can log in.
I have been using my Apple ID on my iPad for most things with no problems except I seem to be having the same issue with Facetime. The error message is something like "email address is already in use."
From searching through other threads it seems to me that I must have an old Apple ID using my email address and there is a problem because of the duplication. If this is the case, I can't figure out what the username and password of that Apple ID would be. Is there some kind of feature that will tell me what account is also using my email? Or am I off base? Some people seem to have the problem that their alternate email is the same as their primary email but I can't even find where I would change that. When I go to appleid.apple.com and sign in to "Manage your account" it immediately prompts me to verify my email address.

I would also like to add that if I go to appleid.apple.com and choose to "Find out" if I have an Apple ID, it only sends me an email about changing the password on my current Apple ID. No previous IDs can be found.

  • Changed my apple id and pswd but now mac book pro keeps trying to log in with old id

Changed my apple id and password but Mac Book Pro keeps trying to contact iCloud with old id.  Of course, the password no longer works because I just changed it.  Help?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)

  • I keep trying to sign into my iCloud on system preferences but it keeps saying it is unable to communicate with iCloud

I keep trying to sign into iCloud on my system preferences but it keeps saying that its unable to sign in because of a problem communicationg with iCloud, and i've tried to create a new account but then it says i cant create one at this time.

Welcome to the Apple Community Abbey.
Try the following, it won't cause any problems if it it doesn't work...
Navigate to Macintosh HD > library > preferences > system configuration and drag the 'Networkinterfaces.plist' file to the trash and restart the mac. Now try again.

  • SOS!! HELP! My iCloud keeps trying to log in with my old e-mail account and I have to access to it anymore, I changed the iCloud e-mail!! HELP I can't update anything!!!

So my e-mail got hacked and I had to create a new one and change all the programs, apps, etc that where linked to it; I also changed my iCloud e-mail but my mac and iPhone won't allow me to change the e-mail in the iCloud settings, please help!! I've already erased my iPhone completely but can't afford to erase everything in my computer! What can I do????

You need to go to System Preferences>iCloud and click 'Sign Out'. Then sign back in with the new ID, and enable the data types you want to sync in the checklist there. Your iCloud data will disappear from your Mac when you sign out but will reappear (give it time) when you sign back in.

  • I'm trying to log in to iCloud through the iCloud prefpane, but it never stops loading after I enter my Apple ID password.

    Hi everyone,
I've been staring at this window for a couple of hours now (not really, but it feels like it):
I'm absolutely certain my Apple ID and password are correct (I recovered and changed it three times since getting this error).
I can log into iCloud on my iPhone4S and onto icloud.com with no problems.
Any ideas what the issue might be?

You have to go to icloud.com from a computer, not from your iPad.

  • I am trying to log into my icloud on someone else's iPad

I am trying to access my icloud from a friends iPad who also has icloud, how do I get to my account and not hers?

If this is only temporary to access certain data, you're better off going to icloud.com from a computer and signing into your account there.  Otherwise you would have to save her photo stream photos to her camera roll, then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, choose Delete from My iPad and provide the password for her iCloud ID when prompted (if she's running iOS 7), then sign into your account.  When done, you would need to delete your account from her iPad and sign back into hers.

  • I keep trying to set up my icloud on my iphone 3gs and I go to settings it says verify account with email, it sends me to my email account but there is no email to verify.  How do I get icloud to send my another email?

Please help with this. I cannot get an email to verify my icloud so i can set it up, please someone help me.

    Welcome to the Apple community.
First, you may wish to check that your filtering and mail rules are not placing Apples email in your junk folder or even deleting it completely. If you have verified that this is not the case:
Put in a request for another verification e-mail to be sent to you.
Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.

  • I keep trying to log onto a website and the site denies access because of Client Certificate provided by Apple, WHY?

I cannot get onto a website. I continually get a message that says that site requires a certificate. There is a certificate there I hit continue and it goes round and round repeating the same thing. Of course I can access site with my Samsung phone and my windows based computer but this great new apple machine is a no go. Very frustrated with Apple so far and ready to sell and buy a Windows laptop. Thanks
