can I build a kernel/mkinitcpio to work on most systems?
want to be able to move a image around like 5 PC's with different hardware.

when I boot on different system
I get trying to create root device /dev/sda5
cannot create root device or what and throws me to a rootfs$ prompt I believe

I'm implementing SAP Fiori PO/PR/Contract approval.
There is only 1 gateway system currently in order to support 4 ECC systems.
(Sandbox, development, quality and production)
Everything is working correctly when assigning only one (Sandbox) SAP system alias to the gateway service of PO approval for example.
However when we assign multiple system aliases and set the sandbox system alias as default things go wrong.
(Currently IW_BEP is not yet installed on the development; Quality and productive system)
And we noticed the service is resulting in an error message because these BEP function modules can not be found on the target system.
However the issue is that it should not call these systems as we have flagged Sandbox system as default.
Anyone has an idea or note for this?
(We temporary fixed this by assigning only a single alias to the services).
But in a later phase we want to add all in order to be able to test on all systems and run production as default.

I don't want to use the MOC.
I want the behaviour like mentioned in the note:
The default system is used whenever the service is not called as MOC. If you have defined more than one default system alias, the first system is used as the default.
How can I achieve this?
According to my understanding now I should make sure ";m"o is not added to the URL, but how can this be achieved?

How can I create manual Y-axis labels in a multiple system report?

A similar question was asked by Lutz1410 on 3/30/07, but it doesn't seem that this was finally resolved. I'll try to ask the question in a different way.
I created a graph in View with 3 axis systems in the "multiple systems" mode, then transferred this to Report. I would like to apply manual scaling and text to each of the 3 axis systems, however if I change either of these parameters they are applied to all 3 Y-axes. In other words, I end up with 3 axes having exactly the same text labels and scaling.
1. For the axis text, is there a delimiter that can be used in the axis text field to tell Report that the first text value is for the first Y-axis, the 2nd value is for the next axis, etc?
2. For the scaling, is it possible to have separate scales for each Y-axis?
Of course, a workaround is to create 3 independent graphs in Report, but this is less convenient.

Hi Craig,
If you want to apply different manual scaling parameters to each of the stacked Y axes, then you need to use 3 separate Y axes. If you want to display a curve-specific text to each of the stacked graphs, this you can do with a DIAdem expression:
@ChnName(CCN)@@         channel name of each curve
@ChnDim(CCN)@@            channel unit of each curve
@ChnComment(CCN)@@   channel description of each curve
The corresponding value for each curve will automatically display at the correct vertical spot next to its curve.

Different manual y-axis in multiple systems

Hallo,
i "ve some problmes to generate a report in Diadem. I have measured values, 600.000 datapoints in 2 channels, current and pressure. The measured values are in a wide range, but i have to lock for the small signal behaviour, so i have to zoom in small x/y areas. The founded points of interest must documented, so i use the function "transfer to report". While i look the data in n-systems i get a report with lines in multiple systems. The problem is the Y-scaling, the scaling is automatically to the whole range of the data, but i want the Y-scalling of the small y area. If i want to rescale manually i found only 1 y-axis, but i see two different y-axis. After rescale manually the scaling is for both axis the same. If i go back to automatically scalling the scaling is different but the same porblem like before, scaling to whole datarange.
How is it possible to have two different manual y-scallings in a multiple systems diagramm with two data-tracks.

I sort of understand what you're talking about, and this sounds like something we should be able to configure correctly in REPORT. I won't fully know what you mean until you send me a data set and the TDR layout file that you're struggling with.

Multiple system maintenance cycles are not shown in pop up for selection

Hi,
In change manager, when we create a change document from a change request, we dont get a pop up for selection of maintenance cycles with multiple systems in it.
The change document is getting created by taking the only available maintenance cycle with only that system.
Is there any configuration for this?

I know the pop up will come only when there is more than one maintenance cycles for that production system.
I have done configuration for Normal correction.( SDMJ) and customized it (ZDMJ).
When I try to create a CD* from CR* for a particular production system ( CCP) , it just takes up a maintenance cycle for CCP system and doesnt show up any pop for selection of maint cycles whereas I have created 5 maintenance cycles for this system CCP.
The other 4 maintenance cycles have multiple landscapes (CCP and EAP )in it whereas this one (which gets selected by default) just has CCP landscape in it.
The strange part is that when I try to create a stand alone CD ( without CR ) , it will give that pop up showing all 5 maint cycles. But this is not happening when I create a CD from a CR.
I have never done/ seen configuration for the pop up of selecting maint cycles in ChaRM.

RAR - SU24 Config Updates - Multiple Systems

I was in the process of updating the SU24 data within RAR and was wondering how GRC differentiates between a transaction that exists in multiple systems. Typically only technical transactions would exist across systems, but this may not always be the case.
I can't say with 100% certainty that a tcd that exists across systems will be maintained with the same SU24 data. Nor can I say that it "ALWAYS" should have the same SU24 data.
When you upload the SU24 data from multiple systems and the same tcd/auth object/auth values exist, will the values be overwritten as you upload the text files for each system? I'm assuming yes? If this is the case, you would have to be cautious to the order in which you upload the text files per system.
We use SRM, BI, PI, and ECC. Any comments would be appreciated.

yes the text files do not have the SID but when you upload those files in RAR you specify for which system you are uploding it. By selecting the system from drop down you tell GRC for which system the SU24 data is for.

Script to Rerun Successful Advertisement on Multiple Systems

I need to rerun a particular advertisement for a package on multiple computers. I Am able to run it on a single system via the right click tools but how do it do it for multiple systems.

If you right click on the deployment in the monitoring node and select rerun deployment you will get something like the below from the right click tools by Now Micro
You can then select the group you want and hit Start.
Another option would be to set the deployment properties to Always run the program, but this would make all devices always rerun the deployment.
If you wanted to be able to select specific devices then you will probably need to script yourself something unless someone has already done it.
You could start by looking at Deployment - Rerun Deployment.ps1 that's installed by the right click tools.

This is perfectly possible when you use a distribution model for your message types in BD64.
Per message type you can indicate multiple destination systems in BD64.
Of course you need to maintain all the partner profiles.

SAP side is RFC.........
RFC sender will be initiating the scenario, and there is receiver is File, PI should go to file directory and take the file then send it back to RFC as response.

1. is this scenario with condition based routing.. so that each time outof many receiver systems it will trigger any specific system.

BAM report from multiple systems...

Hi guys, just wanted to know if we can actually get the data from multiple systems and then generate a BAM report on those data??.Is it possible? and if so then can anyone show me the way.

One option is create external data sources, though Oracle recommends that you only use these for data that does not change very much (since it does not go through the ADC, instead must be continually polled). http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E25054_01/dev.1111/e10224/bam_extl_data_sources.htm#CIHJFDAG
Another option is to create a simple BPEL composite that picks up the data from the various systems and sends it to BAM. In general, BAM is more efficient when data is sent to it, not when it has to get the data. (there are also other options including JMS, etc.)

Duplicating photos from multiple systems

It appears that Photos doesn't check for duplicates when running on multiple systems. Every time I open it on a new Mac, it duplicates every synced photo from my iPhone so I have 3 copies, each with the same name and identical metadata, all synced in iCloud.

To make it easy for you I would export all the photos you want to use and create a new library to import them into. this will be your book library.
When you are done making your book and ordering it you can delete the book library or burn the library to disc in case you want to order another book at a later date.

Trying to Sync Multiple Systems

I am having great difficulty with iSync across multliple systems. I will admit that this may be due to my own misconception about what sync is suppose to be so let me explain what I have, what I think should happen then what is happening:
Work Setup: 1 laptop
Home Setup: 1 laptop, 1 desktop
iPhone: of course ...
Having multiple systems is great. A corporate mac laptop keeps me on the move in the office, my private laptop provides me mobility out of the office and my home desktop is where I do most of my work while home. The home desktop has a couple web pages on it, so it is up 24x7. The two laptops come up for periods of time the go down.
Understanding: Turn on sync, settings to automatic, and when I make a change on any one of the systems, it gets immediately pushed to the cloud, to my phone, then back down to the other 2 systems I am not currently on.
Reality: every system fights for superiority over every other system. Every time one of the systems sync, it completely messes everything up. Here is a great example. Friday before leaving the office I created a Group calendar called "Work Group". I placed a couple existing calendars under this group and made a couple new ones. It appeared to sync to my phone OK so I believed all was well. When I got home I discovered that the desktop (which is on 24x7) had not updated based on the information obviously pushed to the cloud by my office machine (I say obviously because it did make it to my phone). When the synchronization did appear on the desktop, 2 of the work Calendars were moved into a new Group called "Group". When I checked on the cloud by logging into my mobile me account - I couldn't even recognize the format the calendars were online. Having to have brought my work laptop home for the weekend I looked at it and WTH? The calendars on that machine looked exactly like the calendars on my desktop before it did a partial sync. Now the work laptop fired a sync and it warned that there were numerous conflicts that had to be manually resloved. Surprise surprise, same thing on the desktop.
It would seem to me a simple thing to flag records that hand changed and Synchronize only those records updating the cloud. But, it appears that the entire calendar database is being pushed by every machine every time it synchronizes. So it is a push more than a sync. This is quite infuriating.
I find it hard to believe that Apple could have made such an egregious error in programming logic so I can only come to two possible conclusions. (A) My expectations and configuration settings are incorrect or (B) Apple is hiring Microsoft employees. God oh God please let it be (A).
Can someone provide insight?

iSync is only for syncing Contacts and Calendars to non-Apple mobile phones via a local USB or Bluetooth connection.

iSync does not sync anything between Macs, the iPhone, or to the MobileMe 'cloud'.
(The only connection iSync has with the above, is providing a UI to turn on system-wide syncing and to reset it.)
Rather than iSync, what you are using is MobileMe Sync, and the forum for that is here:

How you expect the syncing between multiple Macs and your iPhone is exactly how it should be working, and is designed to work. So something in your particular setup is not right.
I'd suggest posting in the above linked forum where all the MobileMe Sync gurus should be able to help.

UWL substitution with multiple systems

I need some help in understanding how an UWL substitution works with multiple systems.
We are using ESS, MSS and SRM workflows and use UWL for all workflow scenarios.
All users are using ESS, all managers are using ESS, MSS and SRM.
In the UWL configuration we defined a role base connection to the backend systems. ESS users can only make a UWL connection to R/3 and not to SRM, manager can make a connection to all systems.
The problem occurs when a manager assign an other user (not a manager) to manage his of her tasks in case of absence. Because the manager also has the rights to make a connection to the SRM system, the UWL tries now to make this connection with this delegated user. Because the user has no rights to make a connection to SRM an error is generated and no tasks at all are displayed in the users inbox.
If we grant the user right to make a connection to the SRM system, also an error is generated because this user has no user account on SRM.
Is this a normal behaviour, we only want the user to manage all the managers tasks on R/3 and not on SRM because he/she has no authorisation to do so.

I think this will require a separate development as I feel the forwardind table HRUs_D2 stores only user Id and if you need to set som Personnel number as substitution then the devt. should take care whether any user Id is attached to the the PERNR and then set the substitution.

i found this treath Part 2 - Accessing multiple systems in NWBC
but in my case i habe only one WD Application wich will be configured in PFCG and in this WD Application will 2 Subtables used and one of this subtables should display an other WD Application from an extern System
in Subtable A need to call WD Application from System A (Main system)
and in Subtable B need to call WD Application from System B ( extern System)
is this possible by using Variant and not RFC? if yes how can I do this?

Construct URL of those 2 WD applications and call it using an iFrame in your main WD App.
Your PFCG WD Application need to have 2 iFrames in the first view.
Create a node with 2 string parameters(Source 1 and source2).
Bind source1 and source 2 to the corresponding iFrames UI's (Property:source)
Build URL for those 2 WD application, in init method of component controller or View Controller.
Bind it to the node (created in step 2).
Please find below screenshot, where tried with 2 different URL's in a single view using iFrame.
