Keyboard not working (sometimes) when attempting to change file/folder name

Every now and then, my keyboard doesn't seem to work when I'm trying to change the name of file or folder. I can't isolate any particular context when this occurs. When it happens, the keyboard works fine in other applications.
Any ideas on why this happens?

Here's a description of what happens. Let's say I want to change the name of a file or folder on my desktop. I click the item, then the name, and the name becomes editable. Every now and then, even though the file/folder name is in the edit mode (highlighted or cursor inserted), when I try to type nothing happens (the name doesn't change). When this occurs, the keyboard functions properly in all other ways.
Again, I can't isolate the circumstances leading up to this. Any ideas?

Also you can try the following solution.
1. Import the universe.
2. Go to manage access restrictions
3. Remove the restriction .
4. Again create the rescrition and unchecked the " limit size of result set to"
5. Now assign it to the unlimited results group ( this is the name of
the group we have given to those users who should be able to retrieve
more than X rows)
6. Now we save the universe. (Dont export the universe).

Keyboard not working even when trying to go to BIOS

Hi,
I have IBM Thinkpad R60 9458 A13 laptop having Windows 7 ,today its keyboard is not working but in Windows its function keys like brightness or sound is responding without pressing Fn key.
And no other letter or numeric key is responding.
I tried to boot the laptop and trying to press Thinkvantage button, its not responding.
I then inserted Windows 7 OS DVD and when prompt comes to press any key ..i tried all key but no help.
I then clicked on Compatibility option to have keyboard on screen which is working fine.
Pls advise what would have gone wrong

I’m sorry to hear that a few keys in the keypad of your Lenovo ThinkPad R60 is not working properly.
Check if the keys are working in different applications. Some keys such as the function keys F1 through F12 will not work with every program. An easy way to test this is to open notepad or other word processing program and trying the key. Try getting into safe mode and see if the keys work. Remove the key from the keyboard and clean it. In some situations dirt, hair, dust, etc. can obstruct keys causing them not to work.
Please try to get into BIOS mode and see if the keyboard is working there. Tap F1 key while system shows the Lenovo logo to get into BIOS.
1. If you are able to use the keyboard in BIOS, it could be a software issue. I would recommend in that case to do a System Restore which will revert the settings in your system to a previous time.
2. If keyboard doesn’t respond in BIOS as well, I strongly suggest you to contact our technical support for assistance.

Keyboard not working correctly when texting.

Since updating my iphone 4 to the latest software version! everytime i write a text about halfway through it if i try to press the space bar or a letter the keyboard selects a letter near it. this has only happened since the software update and it only happens when texting. any idea's? or do apple know of the problem?

That isn't the problem. I have the same problem with it typing a B or M sometimes when I double tap the space bar for a period. I have never installed that app and have no reason to.

for changing foreground color of text which depending on certain conditiosi need to print in
pdf format using xml reports and rtf files.
But i was able to get only 3 colors (Red,Blue,Green) for use, other colors such as orange,cyan etc are not
working.
Please let me know what all colors are supported by oracle in printing in pdf format using xml reports.
Suggest if we need to do some settings related stuff or so.
I am usning XML 5.6.3 version.

Colors can be expressed by known name and by a hex value. The hex value format is widely used in HTML programming, and has a format of #abcdef, and "abcdef" can be values like aaddcc and so on. For some primary colors, you can get away with #abc, but that is not very common.
You should always design with Web-safe colors in mind. That limits you to 16, but should be plenty for most purposes (plus all 16 have known names like red, cyan, yellow, etc.).

Minibridge not working properly when merging 3 JPG files to HDR

When I select three files with mini bridge and then select Photishop...Merge to HDR Pro... then I get an advise to better merge three RAW files...and END.
When I open the same three files and then go to Automate...Merge to HDR Pro....I get the same warning, I press ok, Then I get a box where I can assign exposure informations to every picture and then the HDR is created.
Why does Merge to HDR Pro work so differently from the minibridge and from Photshop?

2.. Did you make the three files from one camera raw file and if so how?
Yes, I made them by underexposing and overexposing them 1 f-stop which is possible with RAW files.
I opened my RAW file with Camera Raw, set the exposure to -1, 0 and +1 and developed the photos into JPEGs. The exposure informations were seemingly not saved during the process.
3. In what application and what were the settings for saving the jpegs?
I used camera RAW to create the JPEG files
4. Which version of cs5 .i.e. 12.1 or 12.04 or......? Which version of windows?

It works fine and I get a dialog questioning me about the exposure settings when opening the single files first and then convert it into HDR
It doesnt work and I dont get that "Manually Set EV" box when using Bridge or Mini Bridge.
Since the exposure settings would just have to be "virtual" the "Manually Set EV" dialog could as well be implemented into the automated process using Bridge.

Using NetConnection not working .pause when the page changes (Is this a FLASH PLAYER PROBLEM?)

I am having trouble troubleshooting my interactive USB.
Here it goes:
(1) I have 5 buttons which are dynamically loaded
(2) With the 5 buttons, I have 5 change-page. On my 4th and 5th buttons, this is where my NetConnection is placed. Below is my code on page 4.

Keyboard not working sometimes

Anyone having issues with entering information using the keyboard since upgrading to iOS5? Sometimes it will be fine and other times all there is is the clicking from hitting the keyboard but nothing gets entered.

I have also just got a brand new MacBook Pro and sometimes I want to throw it! Even when it's plugged in, I frequently can't type or use the keyboard in any way. It can happen in the middle of a sentence. It happens while I am working within a document or e-mailing, and then starts working again a minute or so later. If anyone can help; I'd appreciate it.

App store Next button not working sometimes when searching for apps

In the app store (using iPad with iOS 4.3.1), when i search for certain words and click on "See All", the next button does not always work. It is enabled (white) and there are more apps to be seen, but tapping either the one top or bottom simply does nothing. Other times, it works fine. I just started seeing this problem after applying the iOS 4.3.1 updates.

Not sure about the layout on PC but try this.
(1) Starting at home screen (click the house icon top, middle). (2) Top right, click on Library button. (3) Next screen, top left, click the icon that says Music. It will pull up a menu where you can select Apps (also movies, tv, etc).
At the bottom right you should see your update button for your apps and telling you the count of those.

I have noticed that when using Tigers Dosk utility to ERASE a flash drive I have a choice of FAT but not FAT32. It seems that flash drives formatted as FAT do not work properly when trying to copy files from a Windows machine. Why?

I have noticed that when using Tigers disk utility to format an external USB flash drive I only have the choice of FAT ( when formatting for use on a Windows machine ) and not FAT32. I have found that USB FLASH drives formatted as FAT do not always work on Windows machines. Why? How can I use Tiger to format for FAT32?

I think it depends on the size of the Flash Drive as to whether it uses FAT16 or FAT32.
Can you format it FAT32 on the PC?
Other options would be NTFS or Mac OS Extended...

Image format not working automatically when linking to Frame files

I have a project in RoboHelp that has linked Frame files. I've fiddled with the settings until I can update and publish without having to make any changes to most of the RoboHelp project's files. However, there is a problem with the images. My group's standard is to center the images. All the settings are set for that. However, they are left-aligned in the generated CHM file, unless I double click one image in each topic to open the Image Properties box, make NO changes, and click OK to close the Image Properties box. I've checked the HTML code before and after doing this, and there is no change, but then all the images in each topic that I did this to will appear centered in the generated CHM file. Since I have about 100+ graphics in this project, it would be nice if I could get the settings to take effect without having to go through this exercise. Anyone know how to make RoboHelp recognize the settings without having to touch an image in each topic in the project?

I searched the CSS and do not find duplicate entries. Perhaps the <div style="text-align: center;"> is a problem? I believe that RH is adding that because the graphics were centered in FrameMaker. It is not in my CSS.

[BUG]outputFormatted not working correctly when bound to message file

I have a panelbox inside my infoSupplemental facet on my panelPage. Inside the box I have a panelHeader then an outputFormatted.
I want some lines of text to have breaks between them. Specifically the text is this :
Click Edit to edit an existing Skill or Achievement.<br><br>Click New to create a new record.<br><br>Click Delete to delete a record.
If I put this text directly into the Value property of the outputFormatted then it works fine. However if I put it into my applications message properties file and try and reference it then all the breaks do not get rendered at all.
eg in my properties file :
pages.skillsAchievements.help=Click Edit to edit an existing Skill or Achievement.<br><br>Click New to create a new record.<br><br>Click Delete to delete a record.
Then I reference pages.skillsAchievements.help using EL syntax in the Value property of the outputFormatted.
Is this a bug ?

I've just done some fiddling around in my app and it looks like the problem is only with the outputFormatted and the <br/>. Using <p> with outputFormatted works, as does using <br/> with an outputText with escape="false". Sounds like you're right about a bug.

Project stops working when attempting to change working times

Project stops working when attempting to change working times. I'm running a 1000+ task project, fully resource loaded with multiple resource calendars. After two months of normal operation, it now appears that Project has deleted (or corrupted)
one of the base calendars that several of the resources use. Now, when attempting to change working time for a resource, sometimes I can get as far as a blank space where the base calendar name should be and an error message stating that there is a problem
with the resource; other times the program just stops working and shuts down. Any ideas on how to restore the file?

I agree with John. Save the file as XML and reopen it. Also, if you have backup of the file, use Organizer to copy the base calendar from the backup. To use organizer, open both the files in Project.
1. In Project 2007 or earlier versions, select Tools > Organizer. In Project 2010 and later, select File, Info > Organizer.
2. Click Calendars tab.
3. Change the Calendars available in: drop down on the right to current file, and other drop down to backup. This will list all the base calendars in each file.
4. Select the base calendar in the backup. Click the "Copy >>" to restore the base calendar.
