Keynote presentations notes

I make simple presentations on my mbp then download them into my iPod Touch 4th gen for connection to a VGA TV.  I use an iPad 2 with Keynote remote to control it.  However, when I transfer the presentation from the mbp to the Touch I lose all the text formatting on my presentation notes.  Is there a way to underline or bold text or change text color in the presentation notes that works on the Touch?

The Optomo projector pico mirrors exactly what is on my mac pro. Any help appreciated Thanks, George UK
Apple Menu > System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement:  de-select the Mirror Displays checkbox
In Keynote 6.5.2 whilst in rehearse presentation mode there is now no switch screen button on the top right like there used to be.
Press the X key on the keyboard to swap presenter display with Presentation.

  • Keynote Presentations not opening on ios7--Helpful Hint

I went on Keynote today on my iPad ready to load a presentation--and found when I clicked it, many of my older presentations would not load. Some of the newer presentations loaded, but not older ones, after, of course, updating to ios7. This hint is for you if you have had your presentations stored in iCloud. After a little tinkering, here's what worked:
I went to Settings on the iPad and scrolled down to Keynote. Touch Keynote in Settings, and one option is Use Cloud or Not. Slide to NOT. Many of your Keynote presentations will disappear entirely. Don't panic. Wait a minute until all settles down, and then go back to settings, Keynote in Settings, and then slide the button back to Use Cloud. All your presentations will reload--will take a while, but you should get them all back safely. I don't know if Pages users have had the same problem, but I bet that would work for them as well.

Well thanks for stating the obvious, but not really that helpful......

  • Keynote Presentations Not Opening From iCloud

I recently learned that none of my Keynote presentations over 100MB will not open on my PC from the cloud. This is a MAJOR inconvenience.  Does anyone know if there is a workaround this?  Thanks.

    Hi ...
    Open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to: Documents & Data then reselect it then restart your Mac.
    Now try downloading your document.

  • Keynote presenter notes cut off

Help - when I print slides with presenter notes, my notes get cut off at the end of the page. Apart from making the font really tiny (which makes it difficult when I'm presenting), is there any workaround?

I can print over 40 lines of text at 12 point if portrait is selected in the print dialogue box. There is an unnecessary blank space created by Keynote between the slide image and text but any more text than that you should use a text creation application, Edit Text, Pages, Word to print your text.

    Hi,
I created a presentation in Keynote and am attempting to save it as a theme, but it only saves the Master Slide as a theme under Theme Chooser.

  • HT202157 How can I use my presenter note in Keynote (using a MacBook) while showing a presentation through Apple TV?

I want to be able to use apple tv as a second monitor...Play the presentation while still being able to view my presenter notes on my MacBook.  Is there a way to do that?  The funny thing is that I can view my presenter notes on my Iphone 4 when I use it as a Keynote Remote.

In most scenarios you shouldn't need to forward ports, however if you need to, you may be best contacting your ISP.
As with most router issues, I would recommend that you contact your ISP with details of your problem (assuming that it was your ISP that provided it to you).
There are simply too many manufacturers with different software features and settings and often different names for such features and settings, that the best advice will likely come from those that are knowledgeable about your particular router.
Make sure your router/computer allows access over the following ports

  • I have a keynote presentation that includes a significant amount of video.  When I edit the keynote slides (not the video slides) how can I save the changes without re-saving the videos (because that takes a VERY long time)?

I have a keynote presentation that includes a significant amount of video.  When I edit the keynote slides (not the video slides) how can I save the changes without re-saving the videos (because that takes a VERY long time)?  I edit the presentation depending on the audience to which I am presenting.

If you add a new  slide with just a text box (therefore a very small amount of data),  to an existing presentation then save,  Keynote will only save the new content to the file,  it wont save  pre-existing content as its already included in the file.
The time  taken to "save" will be very much shorter than a "save as" when all of the existing content is saved again.

  • Is there any way to view a keynote presentation and the presenter notes on the iPad at the same time?

Is there any way to view a keynote presentation and the presenter notes on the iPad at the same time? My professors at school have keynote presentations and i take notes during class with the presenter notes feature. I was wondering if there was any way i can view both of them on the same screen on my iPad while studying? This way I could see their slides along with the notes i take during class.

None that I know of. Suggest to Apple.

  • Is it possible to keep the outline auto formatting from Pages when copying and pasting that outline to the Presenter Notes on Keynote?

I have been using my iPad for my notes, but I want to start using it as a remote for my macbook. When I copy and paste the notes into the Presenter Notes section of Keynote on the macbook, it unformatted. Any bullet point formatting that I do on my macbook is not showing on my iPad's Remote view Presenter Notes. Is there a way to create consistency here that does not involved formatting each one separately?

    Use Drag and Drop
Have both applications open side by side
    select the text in Pages
with the mouse drag the text from pages into presenter Notes pane in Keynote

  • How do i change the amount of time for slides in a keynote presentation so they are not the same

how do i vary the times for the slides in a keynote presentation, i have 3 videos i need to run longer and the slides I want to run the same

Is this for an unattended presentation?
    1. If not, the option would seem to be:
Manually advance the slides containing the videos or
set the transition delay time to the next slide to occur after the video completes using the
Slide > Transition Inspector > Delay (max delay is 600 seconds so if video is longer than 10 minutes, an automatic delay wouldn't work)
    2. If you plan this to be unattended your best bet is to compile it in iMovie and have a looping video with all parts timed in the video to your liking.

  • Taking Notes within Keynote presentation

Has anyone found a way to take notes within a Keynote Presentation (like in Powerpoint)? I know there is the comment option, but i wonder about a plug-in or something allowing taking notes within the slides.

I use Keynote to take notes in meetings all the time. Just create a slide for each topic point, then create text blocks or bullets as needed. If you need to instead make notes on an already created presentation, it's as easy as creating a text box. Highlighting can be handled, too, but a bit slower than a more dedicated app.

  • Lion does not have "Save as." How do I change the name of a Keynote presentation?

How can I change the name of a Keynote presentation in Lion since it does not have "save as'?

This is so lame it feels like MS Windows. From a simple one step process it now requires first to duplicate, then ito browse back to the folder you were working in and then finally to type in a new mame. Why not just leave save as?????? This is getting so very anoying ...... just like windows with its never ending quetsions. Apple please bring back Save as.

  • Using presenter notes during a presentation in keynote 6.0

I just downloaded 6.0 and was having trouble figuring out how to display the presenter notes on my macbook pro during a live presentation.  I looked it up on keynote help, which told me that after clicking on the play button I should click on the layout button and choose Presenters Notes. The thing is, when I click the play button, it takes me right into the slideshow & there is no layout button visible.  I don't use Keynote very often; what am I not understanding?

Presenter notes will show up when you connect a second display, and will behave as described by BartlebyScrivener. If you want to see your notes while playing the presentation without a second display, select ¨Rehearse Slideshow¨ from the Play menu.
