Keyword search in url

Hello Friends,
I'm developing a new website for keyword search
its a c# asp.net website with one page default.aspx and one keywords.xml
keywords.xml contains code like below
 <Keywords>
<keyword id="amazon">http://amazon.com </keyword>
<keyword id="am">http://amazon.com </keyword>
 <Keywords>
our url looks like below
find.app.com
Requirement
If internal user from his/her browser types find.app.com/amazon  or find.app.com/am
I have to find the keyword and redirect to specific site.
Code every thing is ready and working but when a user types  find.app.com/<keyword>
c# code is not hitting its throwing 404 directory not found error.
Appreciate any help.
thanks

I liked "Code every thing is ready and working" :) so why you asking?
The error is because under find.app.com IIS directories there is no /amazon dir, so your code must redirect
the user out of your site to amazon website. Please share you code and you must use the response.redirect method.

  • History Search by URL (rather than by keywords)

    +** sorry if this had been covered before. If so, please kindly direct me to the discussions. I was unable to find it in any discussion. **+
    Is it possible to search the Safari history list by URL? For instances, I want to search (and delete) anything relating to mail.yahoo.com or facebook.com.
    If we use the keyword search, it'll bring up any pages that contain mail.yahoo.com (or even just partial of those words). This search result is rather meaningless, for the task anyway.
    Sorry if this had been asked, I searched the discussions and have not read about it. If it's been discussed, please direct me to the existing discussions.

    HI,
    Not sure if this is what you are trying to do but have you tried Spotlight? Make sure your Spotlight search criteria is set up correctly first.
    Open System Preferences / Spotlight. Make sure Webpages is selected.

  • Ineffective Keyword Search (keyword.URL) changes in 23+

    Refering to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/963439, closing this thread is not sufficient for us users. Please let us vote about this change, or most people (like me) will downgrade or use addons that will disable this "security" feature.
    Please make a better solution, or chrome or another browser will do.

    The search engine that is used on the location bar and on the about:home page is the search engine that is selected in the search Bar on the Navigation Toolbar.
    You can install the Keyword Search extension to specify with search engine to use for the location bar and which search engine to use for the about:home page via the Options/Preferences windows of this extension, accessible via the about:addons page.
    * Keyword Search: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/keyword-search/
    Another possibility is to disable keyword search (keyword.enable = false) and use a (one letter) keyword search for searching via the location bar.<br />
    You can add a keyword to an installed search engine via Manage Search Engines (click the search engines icon on the search bar) and you can add a keyword to a bookmark in the Bookmarks Manager (Show All Bookmarks).
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Using_keyword_searches
    That will allow to switch easily between search engines when you search via the location bar and there also is no problem with a one word search.

  • I can't find sweetim, but everytime I log out of Firefox and back on, it shows up as the default keyword search. How can I fix this!!!!!

    I have checked my installed programs, the list of add ons on internet explorer and the one on Firfox, and cannot find sweetim. However, when I try to do a keyword search in the location bar, I am only able to do it twice, until I switch to a new tab. After that, the keyword search no longer works, and gives me a message saying that I haven't typed in the URL correctly or it doesn't exist. There seems to be some connection to www.amazon.com, because everytime I open a new tab and try to do a keyword search in the location bar, amazon.com moves to the top of the small search window, and google moves down. I cannot search in the small window when amazon.com is up, because it won't let me overwrite.
    When I check the about:config, and reset to the defaults after 2 keyword test searches, it sets back to the sweetim.toolbar as the default again. I was just resetting Firefox, but I think I've done that 8 or 9 times now, and I still have the problem.
    What should I do next to fix this?

    HI Noah:
    Thanks for your answer. I'm working my way through the blog, and trying to take all of the steps. Hitman Pro did find 5 trojans, and many remnants of other malware, so hopefully that will help. I'll post again when I've finished trying everything else.
    I had already run Malware Bytes, It did not find/remove the sweetim toolbar, but found a different trojan. Something is up with my antivirus I think.

  • Podcast not showing up in iTunes keyword search

    Hello, all -
    Podcast: Z.E.D.D. Radio
    I asked Apple support for help with this, but they basically wrote back and gave me this forum URL.  Yes, there are other posts on this "keyword" topic, but they seem to be from 2012, and they didn't quite give me the info I was looking for.  Would anyone be willing to help me out?  I'm still kinda new at this, even though I've successfully posted 42 episodes of my podcast on iTunes already.  I feel I might be losing a large number of potential subscribers because the only way to find my podcast is from the name of the podcast itself, not keywords, and not many people are aware of my podcast.
    Basically, I am using Google Feedburner with the Smartcast settings.  My show is hosted on Talkshoe.com.  A friend set up my podcast on iTunes for me last year, but I have total control of the Feedburner account.  I have only 7 keywords in Feedburner and the first one is "zombies."  The 2nd one "zombie."  I'm sure there are tons of zombie podcasts out there, but when I type "zombies" for a keyword search in iTunes, I'm shocked to see podcasts listed there that have nothing to do about the subject.  Worse, after a keyword search, I see shows listed that are not even running anymore.  It's like a podcast graveyard, but there is no sign of mine, which updates with a new episode every week.
    Am I not submitting keywords correctly in my feed?  Is it based on popularity and number of reviews in iTunes?  I understand if my show can't compete with the big boys, but to have a podcast show up that has nothing to do with zombies while mine stays invisible (even though it's specifically about my keyword search), really baffles me.
    Anyone willing to give me some insight with this?  Any help would be appreciated.  Just tell me what info or details you need.  Thanks!

    Thanks, Roger -
    It seems to pull up every podcast with the word "zombie" in the title, and then displays some random podcasts that may or may not have anything to do with zombies.  I just figured that "zombie" is my one (and now only) keyword, I'd be in there somewhere.  Since I was not the one who initially submitted the podcast to iTunes, I have no idea what information was requested and entered at the time...or if that's even relevant.  What I do have control over is my source webhosting site (Talkshoe) and the Google Feedburner site, which I'm told is the only thing that matters, unless there was a keyword entry field specific to iTunes during the initial set-up I do not have access to.
    It seems like I can enter keywords at Talkshoe (hosting site), and I can enter keywords on my Feedburner (RSS Feed).  I've read online that if the source has keywords, the feed keywords will be ignored.  They both have the same keywords, so I doubt that's the issue, but I've erased the source keywords and left the Feedburner ones.  I'll see if that changes anything when I upload my latest podcast.
    Does iTunes ask for keywords during the initial iTunes application process that overrides everything?  If so, that my be my problem.  I have no idea what the guy who set up my podcast in iTunes wrote?  Is that part of the iTunes application process?
    Thanks again!

  • Keyword Search Not Functioning Correctly

    In firefox 3, Keyword search does exactly as explained in the link below. However, when I downloaded Firefox 4, keyword search does not work as it did in Firefox 3. When I type "Mozilla foundation" (or any improper URL) in firefox 4 and hit enter, it simply does a google search. I have tried everything to fix this issue. I tried resetting the "Keyword.enabled" setting with no success. When I disable keyword search, then Domain guessing steps in and does its job.
    Heres an example:
    In firefox 3, if I type "yah" into the navigation bar, it brings me straight to http://www.yahoo.com/. This is how I would expect keyword search to work.
    In Firefox 4, If I type "yah" into the navigation bar, it brings me to a google search of yah.

    I figured out what to do, and I am only posting a reply for people with similar problem.
    1. Go to "about:config"
    2. Search for Keyword.URL
    3. Double click it, and enter the following string value: http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=
    4. Hit ok, restart firefox, and it works!
    Here's what happened. The guy above gave me links that told me how to modify the keyword.url setting. However, none of the links gave the value I needed to enter to make it work. So, I had an epiphany! I opened firefox 3, I copied the '''default''' value for keyword.url. Then I posted that value into firefox 4's keyword.url. It seems kind of silly that mozilla would change the default for that setting, but whatever. I then tried to figure out how I could import all of the Firefox 3 values into the firefox 4 values, but I quickly gave up haha.

  • I can temporarily set my Internet keyword search service to Google's Browse by Name service, but how can I make that setting permanent?

    I'm using Firefox 5.0. In about:config, keyword.enabled is set to "true," but keyword.URL is set to chrome://browser-region/locale/region.properties I can modify it to http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&q= but when I exit and then restart Firefox, the keyword.URL is back the way it was. How do I permanently fix this? With keyword.URL set to chrome://browser-region/locale/region.properties, if I attempt an Internet keyword search, I get the error message, "File not found. Firefox can't find the file at jar:file:///C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/omni.jar!/chrome/en-US/locale/browser-region"

    I set the keyword.URL preference to the Google Search-by-Name URL, changed to the default theme, and then restarted in Safe Mode with add-ons disabled. When I then checked keyword.URL, it had changed back to the "chrome:" setting.
    I set keyword.URL again and then disabled all plug-ins, exited Firefox normally, and restarted in Normal Mode. Again, keyword.URL had reverted to the "chrome:" setting.
    I then reset keyword.URL, left all the plug-ins disabled, and restarted in Safe Mode. Once again, keyword.URL had reverted to the "chrome:" setting.
    Sorry to be so clueless, cor-el, but I'm afraid I don't know what a locale is. I tried to read your link to mozillaZine, but it kept timing out after 30 seconds. Is that because of too much volume? So are you saying that my current locale is supposed to reset the keyword.URL preference from the "chrome:" setting to some valid value, but that isn't happening? What else could cause this besides a bad extension, theme, or plug-in?

  • Internet Keyword Search not working

    I recently updated Firefox to 8.0.1, and since then I have been having problems with searching from the location bar. When I try to use firefox's 'Internet Keyword Search', it comes up with the message "File not found: Firefox can't find the file at jar:file:///C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/omni.jar!/chrome/en-GB/locale/browser-region/region.properties[insert searched item here]" etc. When I change the keyword.url settings in the about:config from chrome to google, this works until I restart firefox. When I restart, the about:config settings have all changed back to chrome. Help!

  • Keyword search hijacked

    For a long time I was happily using the smart keyword search.
    E.g. I had assigned custom searches to the letters "d","e","w".
    All of a sudden, they lead to different destinations. Whatever I tried to change them back - no luck.
    Please do not suggest editing the bookmarks or right-click/edit in the search toolbar - these actions have no effect.
    I have searched all the files in the profile folder as well as in the program directory for the urls. No result. Must be hardcoded or something.
    I don't want thefreedictionary.com, ebay.com and english wikipedia for these letters! What can I possibly do? Revert to an older FF version?

    How did you assign these keywords?
    Did you create a bookmark or did you assign a keyword in "Manage Search Engines > Edit Keyword"?
    The data used by the latter is stored in the search-metadata.json file in the Firefox profile folder.
    Try to delete the search.json file and a possible search.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder to reset the search engines to the default.
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
    Firefox will rebuild the search.json file from the default search engines in the "browser\searchplugins" folder in the Firefox program folder and the searchplugins folder in the Firefox profile folder.

  • Keyword search address change, has no effect.

    Long time ago I added Google Maps as a keyword search (maps <address>), which hasn't been working for a while.
    After a little research, I've found out, that I had to change the URL for the search, the problem is though, that I can't find the bookmark anywhere! I've tried to create the bookmark again, with the correct URL, but somehow the old keyword has a higher priority, and therefore I'm still directed to the blank Google Maps page.

    See how [[Smart keywords]] feature works.

    The keyword search function is disabled, I'm using Firefox 4.0

    You can modify the pref <b>keyword.URL</b> on the <b>about:config</b> page to use Google's "I'm Feeling Lucky" or Google's "Browse By Name".
    * Google "I'm Feeling Lucky": http://www.google.com/search?btnI=I%27m+Feeling+Lucky&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=

  • Does endeca support multiple keyword search

    Am new to endeca.
    Does endeca support multiple keyword search in atg crs.
    an eg can we search for "shirt,shoes" and get results for both

    How specifically to implement this depends on how you are querying Endeca.  With a simple URL parameter query using the UrlENEQuery object you would set the parameter of Ntx=mode+matchany, and if you were using the ENEQuery class you would set it like:
    ENEQuery query = new ENEQuery();
    ERecSearchList searchList = new ERecSearchList();
    String matchMode = searchTerms.contains(",") ? "mode+matchany" : "mode+matchallpartial";
    ERecSearch search = new ERecSearch( "your-search-interface", searchTerms, matchMode );
    searchList.add( search );
    query.setNavERecSearches( searchList );
    If you are using the Assembler Service, you can include the Ntx parameter in the call, so you would wrap your call with some conditional logic, e.g.:
    String serviceCall = null;
    if( searchTerms.contains(",") ) {
       serviceCall = "assember/xml/browse?Ntt=shirt,shoes&Ntx=mode+matchany";
    } else {
      serviceCall = "assember/xml/browse?Ntt=shirt,shoes&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial";
    If you are using the Content Assembler API within your application, it will depend on how you are invoking it but some of the above should help you customise appropriately.

  • The Internet Keyword Search is no longer functioning

    Previously when I would enter something like "[Actor Name] imdb" into the location bar it would take me to that page. I didn't set this up as a custom keyword search so I assume it was using the default service. Now when I do it it just takes me to the Google search results. keyword.enabled is True so I tried resetting the Keyword.URL location in about:config but the value is blank when I Reset it.

    I Have that SAME problem! Aaargh its really annoying!
    I really hope they fix it soon because that was my FAVORITE thing about the old Firefox...
    Please fix it soon guys I believe in you!!

  • In Adobe Bridge, how can I display keywords in their hierarchy, do an "aka" keyword assignment, and perform multi-value keyword searches?

    Hi Bridge Geniuses!
    I need your help. I am using Bridge to sort and keyword a pretty big photo archive. I have created a pretty long nested hierarchy (4 layers deep, max) and, for a few reasons, would like the parent tags to be automatically included when I indicate a sub-tag.  The problem I have now is that the keyword list is distractingly long and organized alphabetically. My first question is this: is there a preference setting in Bridge that will ask the program to display the keywords in their hierarchy? That is, will Bridge present the list as, for example, cars à hybrids à Toyotas à Prius.
    My second question is: if I have two or more names that represent the same keyword, is there an “aka” function in this program that will allow me to direct searches for two or more different words to the same keyword entry? (For example, if I want my searches for “Bruce Wayne” to also show entries marked as “Batman.”)
    Finally, I would like to know if Bridge will perform keyword searches for more than one word at a time. So far, I have tried entering two keywords with overlap at a time, separated by a space or a comma or a semicolon, and the search comes up empty.
    Thank you very much for your help!

    I reset my custom workspace and all seems to be well now. My keywords now show, the number of photos each applies to and I can again search.
    Thank you.

  • CS3 Bridge keyword search failure

    To the best of my knowledge this particular issue has not been covered in the dozens of prior posts about keywords.  I apologize if I've missed it.
    My photos, by the nature of their creation and paperwork generation, are organized by overall dividers, year, month, partial alphabetic breakdown, and customer name, respectively.  I have a need to be able to find photos across all folders throughout the hierarchy that are of the same person.  I've been using keywords of the individuals' names to accomplish this and it has been tremendously effective.
    In 2009, it became necessary to move all images archived in 2008 to another location on the server.  As one might expect, the keywords didn't jive with the index (my reasoning, anyway) and search functionality was ineffective.  Not long thereafter, the functionality came back - most likely by way of a non-indexed keyword search.
    The same issue has occured this year in that all the images shot in 2009 had to be moved.  I have changed the manner in which the structure is built to prevent this from being necessary again in the future, but the keyword search is now not functioning again.  However, this time I am unable to re-establish it.  I have tried multiple non-indexed (with subdirectory) keyword searches both across the entire server and in smaller folder breakdowns.  I have cleared the cache and searched again.  Even if I open a folder with brand new files and verify keyword presence and accuracy, a search inside that specific folder will not return a result.
    The question is: What have I done / missed?
    Even if it had nothing to do with moving the 2009 files, I may have done something to knock something askew that's impeding my search abilities.  I don't use Bridge for very complex tasks, so I might need some extra help, but I'm keenly interested in your ideas and expertise.  Assistance in any form will be appreciated.

    Im geting the same... I tried refreshing cache etc... but no avail...
