Keyword search programmatically - retrieve field

Hi,
I have a web part with keyword search query.
One of my column values from the datatable returns this:
GP0|#8cdfd663-a292-4b31-8b3b-b9411a4767ae;L0|#08cdfd663-a292-4b31-8b3b-b9411a4767ae|Retail center;GTSet|#74ba3da0-293c-45a4-a579-da40b008f8c6;GPP|#027f97e2-3a7c-41b8-8b08-d312b4a40f4a
The column is a managed metadata column from Term store.
How do I retrieve just the text from the value (Retail center)?
Is it a TaxonomyFieldValue or what is it?
I tried to treat it as a TaxonomyFieldValue but get errors...
Thanks.

Hi,
Did you mean get the managed metadata field programmatically?
There are two useful articles about the programming on managed matadata with SharePoint 2013, you can hava a look at them.

  • Couldnt work with multiple key fields in keyword search

    Hi,
I have some issue while working keyword search uder free form search in datamanager. in my repository i have two keyfields name(default field) and nation(lookup flat). but while working with keyword search if i pass any value that is comparing with only the values under keyfield name not comparing with other keyfield nation values. i am working with MDM 5.5 sp6. It would be appreciable if any one solve this issue.
    Regards
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi,
If you want to perform Keyword search for Nation field as well without changing it's field type; then plz follow these steps:
    1. Set the Keyword property for Nation Field as Normal in Main table.
    2. Now go to the lookup table to which Nation field is looking into (say the Lookup table name is Nations).
    3. Now set the Keyword property for Nation field as Normal in the lookup table (Nations table) as well.
    4. Go back to Main table and now perform Keyword search. This time it will perform the search on both the fields (i.e., Name as well as Nation).
Please let us know, if problem still persists.

  • Keyword Search with the search field

    Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding search by keywords: when I type in more than one keyword in the search field I do not get any results, no matter if I separate those with a comma or just a space. Isn't this supposed to work? Or do I have to use the search HUD for keyword search? When I am searching my entire library there are a LOT of keywords. I always thought I could use the searchbar just like Spotlight, typing several words and getting results in real-time. It works like this in iPhoto, so why not in Aperture?
    Regards,
    Stefan

    Really?
You mean you can't just click on the Magnifying Glass in the Search Box like I can?
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
    And then Select Rating?
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
And then click on the Third Dot and it will become a Star?
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
Or even use a Smart Album? File -> new Smart Album: My Rating -> is -> And there's click on the third dot to make it a star trick again?

  • Dreamweaver 8, PHP, multiple keyword search problem

Hello, I've successfully set up a search form, and a
recordset which retrieves results when a keyword is added to the
search form text field and the form is submitted. What I'm trying
to do is allow tourists to enter one or more keywords, such as
Istanbul Ankara, to get tours which include either or both of these
keywords. The search function works fine if I just put in one
keyword, like "Istanbul" or "istanbul." But if I enter two
keywords, there are no results, even though there are several tours
with both of these destinations in their itinerary. If I enter
istanbul AND ankara, I get results with the boolean method, but I
don't expect most of my site visitors to know how to do that.
Is there a way to modify the recordset, so that the user gets
results when they search with multiple keywords? Here's my SQL
    code:

Add a FULLTEXT index to the column that you want to search,
    then change
    the SQL like this:
WHERE MATCH (tours.long_itinerary) AGAINST ('keywords') AND
    tour_category.cat_id=tours.category_id AND
    tours.agency_id=travel_agency.agency_id

  • Podcast not showing up in iTunes keyword search

    Hello, all -
    Podcast: Z.E.D.D. Radio
I asked Apple support for help with this, but they basically wrote back and gave me this forum URL.  Yes, there are other posts on this "keyword" topic, but they seem to be from 2012, and they didn't quite give me the info I was looking for.  Would anyone be willing to help me out?  I'm still kinda new at this, even though I've successfully posted 42 episodes of my podcast on iTunes already.  I feel I might be losing a large number of potential subscribers because the only way to find my podcast is from the name of the podcast itself, not keywords, and not many people are aware of my podcast.
Basically, I am using Google Feedburner with the Smartcast settings.  My show is hosted on Talkshoe.com.  A friend set up my podcast on iTunes for me last year, but I have total control of the Feedburner account.  I have only 7 keywords in Feedburner and the first one is "zombies."  The 2nd one "zombie."  I'm sure there are tons of zombie podcasts out there, but when I type "zombies" for a keyword search in iTunes, I'm shocked to see podcasts listed there that have nothing to do about the subject.  Worse, after a keyword search, I see shows listed that are not even running anymore.  It's like a podcast graveyard, but there is no sign of mine, which updates with a new episode every week.
Am I not submitting keywords correctly in my feed?  Is it based on popularity and number of reviews in iTunes?  I understand if my show can't compete with the big boys, but to have a podcast show up that has nothing to do with zombies while mine stays invisible (even though it's specifically about my keyword search), really baffles me.
Anyone willing to give me some insight with this?  Any help would be appreciated.  Just tell me what info or details you need.  Thanks!

    Thanks, Roger -
It seems to pull up every podcast with the word "zombie" in the title, and then displays some random podcasts that may or may not have anything to do with zombies.  I just figured that "zombie" is my one (and now only) keyword, I'd be in there somewhere.  Since I was not the one who initially submitted the podcast to iTunes, I have no idea what information was requested and entered at the time...or if that's even relevant.  What I do have control over is my source webhosting site (Talkshoe) and the Google Feedburner site, which I'm told is the only thing that matters, unless there was a keyword entry field specific to iTunes during the initial set-up I do not have access to.
It seems like I can enter keywords at Talkshoe (hosting site), and I can enter keywords on my Feedburner (RSS Feed).  I've read online that if the source has keywords, the feed keywords will be ignored.  They both have the same keywords, so I doubt that's the issue, but I've erased the source keywords and left the Feedburner ones.  I'll see if that changes anything when I upload my latest podcast.
Does iTunes ask for keywords during the initial iTunes application process that overrides everything?  If so, that my be my problem.  I have no idea what the guy who set up my podcast in iTunes wrote?  Is that part of the iTunes application process?
    Thanks again!

  • HOW TO CREATE A KEYWORD SEARCH FORM

Hi, I'm creating a image gallery and I'm about 90% complete. One of my  final objectives is to create a keyword search for my image gallery. I  have 4 fields in my DB, (id,image, description, keywords) I want to be  able to enter keywords into the text field  and the images with there  descriptions show up. I already have the  keywords in my mysql, I already know how to use mysql, I just need to learn how to add a search form that pulls keywords from my mysql. THIS DOES NOT REQUIRE ANY CODE so please do not respond with code. I just need a step by step on what type of form to insert, (dynamic text field or text field) what paramaters to pass etc. NO CODE, this whole thing can be done in design veiw.
For this project I'm using Dreamweaver Cs5, I'm not really an  experienced coder I rely heavily on dreamweaver for my code, I just make  minor tweaks. So if anyone has an answer to my problem please break  down and simplify your answer I'm still a beginner. Thanks in advance.
    ps
If anyone knows of any other video tutorials of this process please inform me, it would be greatly appreciated, thank you.(not php acedemies)

This is helpfull but I'm still running in to some problems. I believe everything on my search page is correct, I think it's my results page thats giving me issues.  When I view my search page in firefox and type in a keyword in the text field, when the results page loads all I get is the field names of DB table (id,layouts,desription,key_words) instead of the actual data...??
On my search page in the action box I have my results page "search_results.php". In the method box I have "GET".  On my "search_ruselts.php" page I created a recordset, selected all columns, and filtered "key_words". (im not sure if I filtered correctly) I placed this in a dynamic table. Where did I go wrong?
this is my code if it helps any

  • PHP MYSQL KEYWORD SEARCH HELP

Im creating a search for a image gallery and I want it to be able to pull up an image based on the keyword assigned to the image you searched. I have 4 fields in my DB, (id,layout"or image",description,key_words). My problem is when I enter a keyword in my textfield when the results page loads all I get is the field names (id,layout,description,key_words) instead of the actually data within those fields.
I believe my problem lies within this line of code:
    $query_Recordset1 = sprintf("SELECT * FROM images2 WHERE key_words = %s ORDER BY id DESC", GetSQLValueString($colname_Recordset1, "text"));
this code displays my DB field names, but not the data I inserted in those fields.
So I tried changing the code to this:
    $query_Recordset1 = sprintf("SELECT * FROM images2 WHERE key_words LIKE '%$keyword%' ORDER BY id DESC", GetSQLValueString($colname_Recordset1, "text"));
This code did display my mysql data, but not the data I entered in my textfield. With this code I don't even have to enter any keywords in the text field, I can simply click the search button and my mysql data would show up, even though I didn't enter a keyword...?
Im very confused  I've been working on this off and on for  about a month now and have been in 3 different forums and know one seems to  be able to help. It would greatly appreciated if someone could help me  through this.
Here is all my code for a better understanding:

Why are you using the $keyword variable rather than the sprintf parameter? I don't know php, but it seems like that is your problem. Maybe try something like this:
    $query_Recordset1 = sprintf("SELECT * FROM images2 WHERE key_words LIKE %s ORDER BY id DESC", GetSQLValueString("%" . $colname_Recordset1 . "%",  "text"));

  • Unicode issue for keyword SEARCH

    Hi All...
In a report keyword SEARCH is used to find entry in internal table. basically this will find any value in internal table and will return sy-tabix as line number where the value exists.
    Syntax:     SEARCH itab FOR seek.
where itab is internal table and seek is variable which can contain any value to be searched in itab.
When i set 'Unicode check active' attribute in program attribute, while activating program i am getting error as: <b>Table "KEN3" must have a character line type (data type C, N, D, T, or STRING).</b>
When i try to add additons In byte mode and in charecter mode, i am getting incompability errors.
Is there any solution/alternative for this error. I am trying to make my program unicode compliant.
    TIA,
    Agasti.

    Hi
I think ur itab is having all the fields of the table

  • Keyword searching

I would like to offer my users the ability to perform a "keyword" search which would allow the user to search about 90% of the fields in the xml file. What is the best way to do something like this. I currently have each field in my query seperated by an "or". I also have each of the fields indexed, but it seems to be going very slow. Is their any other way of building a query to do something like this?

    for $record in collection("Catalog.dbxml") /*[
    T245[contains(.,"database") or contains(.,"Database")] or
    T246[contains(.,"database") or contains(.,"Database")] or
    T100[contains(.,"Database")] or T700[contains(.,"Database")] or T600[contains(.,"database") or contains(.,"Database") or contains(.,"DATABASE")] or
    T610[contains(.,"database") or contains(.,"Database") or contains(.,"DATABASE")] or
    T630[contains(.,"database") or contains(.,"Database") or contains(.,"DATABASE")] or
    T650[contains(.,"database") or contains(.,"Database") or contains(.,"DATABASE")] or
    T651[contains(.,"database") or contains(.,"Database") or contains(.,"DATABASE")] or
    T655[contains(.,"database") or contains(.,"Database") or contains(.,"DATABASE")] or
    T050[contains(.,"DATABASE")] or
    T090[contains(.,"DATABASE")]
    return $record
This query takes about 15 seconds. The problem is, it is only searching for 1 word, if I do a search for 2 or 3 words, the search doubles
    Here is an example:
    for $record in collection("Catalog.dbxml") /*[
    T245[contains(.,"database") or contains(.,"Database")] or
    T246[contains(.,"database") or contains(.,"Database")] or

  • Keyword search in Apple Notes on Mountain Lion?

Hi friends. I hope someone can enlighten me and help put some faith back into Apple's software development.
Does anyone know how to do a keyword search in Apple Notes on Mountain Lion?? I know that sounds completely stupid but let me explain...
In the top left corner there is a search field. When I enter a keyword it searches all the notes, and in the left hand pain it filters the notes that have the keyword in them. It doesn't actually show me *where" the keyword appears, it only shows the notes that *contain* them. It's just a filter, not a search. Try it for yourself.
It would be like doing a keyword search in a PDF, and it only tell you which pages it appears on, rather than where on the page. It is completely useless.
I fail to believe the program would be this limited. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Please no suggestions to go find another note program. I need notes for particular reasons.

This behavior makes complete sense to me.  If I designed it, I would do it exactly the same way.
Here's why:  Notes are not expected to be treatises.  They are expected to be reasonably short.  You should easily be able to find the search target in your relatively brief note.
Nonetheless, if you fee like you'd like to ask Apple for this feature, here's how to supply feedback to Apple:

  • Keyword Search Functionality in CRM WEBUI

    Hi Experts,
I am working in CRM 7.0 WEBUI. I have a requirement where i need a Keyword search functionality. In the sense, for suppose i have all names starting with A , B and C as my values for field( can be drop down values). now when i type A on that field then i should be able to see only the Names which start with A as drop down values.
I am not sure how can i achieve this functionality in WEBUI.
Please let me know your inputs.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Warun

    Hi,
Its like memorizing of last user entries. You need to have the coding done in the P-getter of that input field.
Current FRW code doesn't allow for the Smart Value Help (SVH) to be controlled on a field level for fields with complex F4 helps (i.e. fields where clicking on the F4 help icon opens an Advanced Search page).
Please check with SAP for any corrections.

  • Keyword Search in Catalog

I am implementing SRM MDM 7.1 and Catalog 3.0.
The Standard SAP Keyword search will search in the searchable fields. I could find the Short Description, Special Search Term, External Manufacturer, Category are the searchable fields aganist which the Keyword string will search.
I wanted to add few more fields to this list of searchable fields.
Is this possible using Configuration? If yes, How.
Is this possible by customization. Please let me know how we can do the same.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Please logon MDM console and check the repository. You can add additional fields in the catalog_items table and set keyword property.
If you are talking about advanced Search UI, please logon to UI configuration http://<host>.<domain>:<port>/SRM-MDM/SRM_MDM

  • Keyword search within Xcelsius

    Hi,
Iu2019m working on an Xcelsius dashboard project where it requires a keyword search functionality of customer feedback data stored in a SQL database and display the matching records in a table. Also to visually show the number of keywords by different sources using a chart.
Appreciate if anyone could give some pointers how this can be achieved through Xcelsius
    Thanks,
    Malik

    Hi Malik,
Hope you must be looking to retrieve the data based on the Keyword entered in the Xcelsius.
If you are using the Web intelligence to fetch the data better you use wild card concept in your filters.
Hope it can full fill your need.
If this is not the solution for your question, please make your question more elaborate.
    Regards,

  • Keyword search advice

    Hi all,
I need some advice on best practice to create keyword search.
I need to be able to search for keywords and also some other
pre-defined drop down menus like location....
What would be the best and fastest way to return search
results? Just simple database search, verity, static cfm/html files
and how can I do results ranking for ordering by best match? I am
working here with thousands of records!

if your keyword search is a simple search, you should be able
to store the keyword information in a table with id and keyword as
the only two fields. your speed may be determined more from the doc
table than from the keyword table. you may also want to update
another table with the searches people have made so that you can
continue to enhance your search topics.
if you were to run a query like
    select k.keywordfoo, d.docname, d.docshortdescription
    from tbl_keyword k
    inner join tbl_doc d
    on d.keywordid=k.id
    where k.keywordfoo=@keywordfoo
if the doc table is well indexed, the size of the table will
    determine the speed.

  • Keyword search in 3.3rc not working.

Has anyone else been unable to make a successful keyword search after updating to 3.3 rc?
    Solution?
    Thanks,
    BE

Thanks for your reply.  I'm Mac.  Searching the only way I know how, backslash to bring up search options at the top of Library desktop, select text > keywords > contain all, then enter the keyword.  Only a few pics show up whether I use 'keywords' or 'any searchable field.'  I too thought there would be more chat about it if it was a major problem.  Must be something weird with my set up.  Needing to work against a deadline, I returned to 3.2 where it works perfectly.
    Again, thank for your reply.
