KM Link reference

Hi everybody,
I´m developing some kind of List Link (KM Standard) iview and a got trouble trying to access the KM links (reference to a KM docs). I´m using the getTargetURL() method, but it doesn´t retrieve the all portal URL with the doc´s path, it only retrieves the doc´s path and I can´t access the document,I get the "The page cannot be found" error in my browser.
Is there someone who knows a solution for this problem?
Thank you very much for Your help.
Susy.

Hi Susy,
Can you let me know how to create KM links pointing to KM documents or is it a standard feature with KM iview? Also is it possible to create links pointing to documents in R/3 DMS?
Thanks,
Mandar

  • I have a Maverick "open in new window" link reference

I have a link reference which appears to have changed itself. Seriously, originally the link sent the viewer to a new page in the same browser window. Now it is opening the link in a new window.
This appears to be the case for the same link on all the pages on the site Im working on.
this is most troublesome as there isnt any readily apparant reason for this behavior.
What can I do to cure this problem?

  • Discoverer 4i Plus returns no data when using views with db link references

I am using Discoverer 41 Plus to view reports online.
When I create a worksheet based on a view, that only references local tables, everything is OK and Disco plus shows the output OK.
When I create a worksheet based on a view, that references a Database link, Disco plus gives me an "Query caused no data to be returned" error.
Is this to be expected from Discoverer Plus?
    Thanks - Sue.

I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the default position (and default aggregate) for the EUL folder item? I can see that some of the folders have number type items with default position 'Data Point' and others have these with default position of 'Top or Side'. I'm totally stabbing around in the dark here; looking at EUL folders which exhibit the problem and those which don't.
I've tried changing one field to 'Data Point' and it hasn't helped. Will try changing the join items now I think.
If anyone has any comments, would be v. grateful as I'm looking at dropping folders which have quite a bit of code around them and trying to re-create them exactly, which is a risky and horrible solution.

It doesn't matter if it's a tiff file or not (in the general case). 'tiff' is
just the de facto namespace where these properties can be found.

    For the XMP stuff:
Adobe has published a set of XMP Specification docs and guides. These are very
    helpful. Google is your friend.
The site for exiftool (and the tool itself) will provide you with more info than

    Hi !
I have a problem to copy referense/linked Movies to ATV.
I have some Movies in my movies directory on iTunes which are not placed for real in the iTunes library there are on external HDs (more storage on 3,5 Zoll HDs) and just linked (creataet with a function in QuickTime).
I can watch this movies without any problems on my mac in iTunes.
Is it general impossible to watch linked/referens movie on AppleTV or did i same thing wrong?
    thx

mmh in iTunes on my Mac QT ref files working verry well on not local volumes.
I thought you said they were on an external drive.
I think you'll probably find the same thing with itunes sharing across a LAN, although I do recall there is a way to reference movies in the way you want, but I can't remember it being in QT after v4.
I'd take a visit to the QT forum and explain what you want to do there, they may be able to help.

  • How do I keep Mozilla's "Yahoo" text, links, references off my computer screen, or do I need to start looking for a new web browser?????

I find the Yahoo search experience condescending, overbearing, dictatorial and offensive. I truly regret your forcing Yahoo on me without giving me a way to use a search engine I am comfortable with. Perhaps there is a way to opt out of Yahoo's contamination of Firefox, but I have yet to figure it out. How do I banish your Yahoo from my Firefox ? I'm trying not to be ugly about this but I really think this was a wrong turn for mozilla on the road to success.

Sorry I know some people do not like this, and as usual Firefox made a change without advance warning, but it is easy to change back.
Just change the search engine set as default in the search bar that changes all the Firefox searches to use that search engine.
So that includes, location bar, newtab, homepage, highlighted text
    * Use Magnifying glass icon -> Change Search Settings -> |Search| Default Search Engine [ v^]
    * See [[Search bar - add, change and manage search engines on Firefox]]
Hope this helps you to quickly get back to normal. Please post back to say how you get on.

    ===Full standard reply===
Thank you for your question about the search changes in Firefox. There's been a lot of exciting news and we are happy to assist you.
    '''What has changed?'''<br>
In the US and Canada, the default search engine has been changed from ''Google'' to ''Yahoo''. In Russia, ''Yandex Search'' will become the default search and in China, ''Baidu'' will continue to be the default search. However, all other search engines will still be available in these regions. You will notice this change in Firefox 34.
'''Would you like to know more about the change?'''<br>
See the blog post written by Chris Beard, [https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2014/11/19/promoting-choice-and-innovation-on-the-web/ New Search Strategy for Firefox: Promoting Choice & Innovation] and the News Release, [https://blog.mozilla.org/press/2014/11/yahoo-and-mozilla-form-strategic-partnership/ Yahoo and Mozilla Form Strategic Partnership].
'''Do you want to change your default search engine?'''<br>
In Firefox 33 or below, you would change your default search engine from the Search bar, as shown in [/gallery/image/19894 this animation]. Starting in Firefox 34, you can use one of these methods:<br>
''Note: The following may not apply to localized versions of Firefox.''
    * Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]] and choose '''Options''' on Windows or '''Preferences''' on Mac or Linux, then select the '''Search''' settings panel.
    * Click on the magnifying glass icon in the Search bar, then click on Change Search Settings, as shown here:
In the Search settings panel that opens, select a different search engine from the drop-down menu (see [/en-US/gallery/image/20002 this screenshot]).

  • How to create an embedded link with VBScript that references user website from Active Directory?

I have scoured the web for days and have not been able to quite come up with exactly what I need for this. I have created an Outlook signature deployment using VBScript which sets information in an already formatted Word doc using placeholders. (Ex. [Displayname],
    [Initial], [City])
All of that works as expected, but now marketing would like to have an embedded link reference some of our users personal web pages. So the link would display some kind of standard text like "Click Here". Once clicked on the user would be redirected

  • Reference material/link is required on Digital signature

    Hi
Can anyone provide me any link/ reference material related to digital signature.
I want to explore it for following tasks
    1. How digital signature works.
    2. How a pdf can be signed using workbench
    3. How to sign entire pdf
    4. How to sign/block only few fields in the pdf
    Regards
    Sunil Gupta

    Sunil
    Here is some information...
    How digital signature works
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat/
    Also, see attached socs.
How a pdf can be signed using workbench
Workbench is the development tool for creating LiveCycle ES2 processes.  To sign a PDF on the server side (in an automated fashion) you need to have LiveCycle Digital Signatures ES2
    For more info...
    http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/
    http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/digitalsignatures/
    How to sign entire pdf
When a digital signature is applied to a PDF, the entire PDF is "signed".  You cannot sign specific pages or sections.
How to sign/block only few fields in the pdf
You can specify "field collections" when creating a PDF with Adobe Designer.  You then associate the field collection with a particular signature field.  When the signature field is signed, the associated field can\will be locked.
    Hope this helps

  • [CS5 Win] Switching to InDesign is slow in CS5 for certain documents. XML links?

    Hi,
I put this question in the scripting part, since you might be the ones to notice such things as this, and it might relate to importing XML by scripting. Also I got no positive response in one of the other forums, "complaining" about the sluggish performance redrawing the interface when setting focus to InDesign CS5. But now I can more clearly see that it is not slow for all documents.
Having certain documents open in InDesign CS5 makes it very slow to switch to. The CPU peaks at 80-100% and it takes about a second or two until InDesign responds.
The documents do not necessarily need to be large in size, but it appears that it mostly occurrs on documents that I've imported data to (or that our customers have), using our own code, which takes care of an XML file and portions it out into templates.
One strange thing I just noticed was that selecting "relink all" by alt-clicking the relink button in the Links palette, makes InDesign look for (presumalbly) previously imported XML files. How can that be?
I never store any links to the imported XML - as far as I know. Where should I look for that kind of links?
How and why would previously imported XML file paths be stored? I just import the XML into the structure, "deal with it", and deletes the node that it was imported to. (The data is left in a structure that I build up myself.)
Does anyone know if there is a change related to any of the facts stated above, in InDesign CS5?
I'll attach a screen shot of the links dialogue (above), when it "looks for" an XML file. Could this kind of "missing file" cause the abovementioned "slowness" every time switching to InDesign from another application?
(InDesign documents that don't relate to XML doesn't make switching to InDesign slow - but it gets slow when such a document is loaded, even under a tab that is not in focus.)
    Best regards,
    Andreas

I've uploaded a video to demonstrate that InDesign sometimes can keep references to links:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoQOSIlfYl4
It's obvious that there are thousands of "orphans" in the documents. All XML files ever imported are kept in some way... The links (or the names of them) are obviously not removed from the document when deleting the Element in the XML Structure. Since the communication of the code with a database is built around XML import, the number of imported files is very large.
Can these orphaned link references somehow be removed? When manually checking for missing files, InDesign loops though all of the XML files as seen in the YouTube video above, but ends up saying that there are no missing files. The next time I do the same check, all links are looped through again.
Perhaps we should "link to file", using .xmlImportPreferences.createLinkToXML = true
This propery has not been explicitly set, and therfore = false. But is there any way to get rid of all the old link names that's inside the document somehow?
CS4 does the same thing, but there is "no 2 second lag time" switching from another application to InDesign CS4 with this kind of document open.

  • Wiki migrated from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion missing some links

    Hi
I migrated the wiki instance running on my old Snow Leopard Sever to the new Mountain Lion server following the instructions here
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5082
All looked good, but then I find that some, not all,  of the links reference the old server instance and come up wtih 404's.
If I right click on the links that are broken and inspect them the results differ.
the outer html has a reference that looks like this
    <a class="cc-route-enabled" target="_blank" href="http://old.server/wiki/pages/G3J0z4r/Clint's_Index.html">Clint's Index</a>
a link that works looks like this
the outer reference is the same but the inner
    <a class="cc-route-enabled" href="/wiki/pages/Q4g545J/CMS_Teaching_Infrastructure_2012.html">CMS Teaching Infrastructure 2012</a>
The pages still exist. If you do a find for the link title you can find the page ok.
Is there a way to fix the broken links to remove the absolute paths to the old server?
    Cheers
    Jacqui

OK I've managed to retrive my folders by doing the following
1/ Open Finder and click on the Go Menu option
2/ Hold down the Alt key so that 'Library' apperas in the list of folders you can go to
3/ Select 'Library' and navigate to the Mail/Mailboxes folder
4/ Expand the tree and find your personal folders somewhere below that node (each personal folder will have its own .mbox extension)
5/ COPY the folders you want to some different location (eg your desktop). You need to do this as you won't be able to access the original location those files are in in the next couple of steps
6/Go to the mail App and choose File->Import Mailboxes...
7/ Select the 'Apple Mail' option from the 'Import From' section and hit continue
8/ Multiple select all the mailboxes you copied to your desktop in step 5/ above
9/ Now all your mailboxes will appear under an 'Import' node in your mail sidebar
10/ Breath a sigh of relief that you have managed to retrieve your precious personal folders!!!
Not sure why Apple is silent on this issues as obviously loads of people are expeiencing itand the fact that they now hide your library folder by default doesn't help one bit!!!
    Anyway hope this helps

  • Create a linked list

    Hi guys!
I read the manual of java 2 and says that is not that pointers don't exist, they do exist but they are not explicit as they are in C languagge. So in need to create a circular linked list how can I do this? The instructions of the manual are not so clear. Does anyone have an idea and can give me a sample code?
    Thanks to all
    Maddy

References are like pointers except that you cannot make any add operation on them. But you can of course change their values to make it point to other objects.
This also means that you can create graph objects and every data structure you like. For example :
    class BinaryNode {
        public Object data;
        public BinaryNode left;
        public BinaryNode right;
    }To create binary trees or
    class GraphNode {
        public Object data;
        public ArrayList links;
}Where links is a Java list containing a list of links (references) to other GraphNode.

  • Linked images not showing

    Hi,
We're running Illustrator CS4 across a suite of 12 Macs on OS X 10.6.8.  Over the last couple of weeks, several accounts have been hit with the same problem, that linking an image in an Illustrator document will not show the images, but just a bounding box.  The link information is correct, but I've found no way of getting the image to show, aside from embedding it.  Furthermore, saving a document in this state will cause Illustrator to crash when trying to reopen the document.
We use network accounts for the Macs, so all installs are local on each machine, but users access their profile directly from our server.  Therefore, all links reference a location on our network and not the local drive.  However, there does not seem to be anything wrong with the installs as the issue is with accounts and not the individual client.  Once the issue occurs for a user, it occurs on any Mac they log into, while unaffected users can use any Mac without issue.
Our network has run in this state for a year now and the problem has only surfaced recently.  I've tried clearing user's preference files relating to Illustrator, but this has had no effect.  It's also random when creating a new user on the network, as some will have the issue and others not, despite all being created with the same set of default preferences.
If anyone has come across anything similar, or has any idea of what to look at with this, I'd be very grateful for some help.
    Thanks,
    Simon

    Hi Steve,
    Thanks for the response.  First of all, you'll have to excuse me if I get a few points wrong, as I'm not too familiar with Illustrator.  However, in answer to your questions;
The layers panel is showing "<Linked File>" next to an empty white box.
Turning off preview does show the boxes you describe.
I've no idea how to go about checking if an image is beyond the mask bounds.  However, I've used the same image for testing across accounts and it displays fine on those that aren't having this issue.
Also, in the top left corner of Illustrator, the name os the linked image does display and the options available when clicking that do seem correct and working.  Relinking from there does nothing, but I can open the image for editing etc.  None of this helps in getting the image to display though.
As for the server side, we have always used a Mac server at the same version as the clients.
    Thanks,
    Simon

  • Flash swf. file will only show in template and not linked pages

I placed a swf. file on my template page in a non-editable region. I then updated all the files that were linked to that template.
I then looked at the linked pages in Dreamweaver and I can see the image of the swf. in all the affected pages.
However when I check the pages through the browser the swf. is not there.
I'm using Dreamweaver cs3. Can anyone help?
    Thanks,

    Hi
I do not use dw templates, but the problem is probably with the linking. Also if your swf file is linking to other files then all your html pages must be in the same position in your file structure as your original, (working) html page, otherwise the link references will be wrong.

  • Updating DB link in the package/view programatically.

    Guys,
I have to refresh my prod database to DEV , which I am doing with RMAN duplicate command, there are few packages and views which refers database links, the database links in dev is different than prod,so after refreshing DEV from prod, I need to dynamically change the database link in the package and views pointing to prod to DEV and re-compile the object.so that after refresh all objects in the DEV using database link are pointing to DEV Database link.
The prod db link name is SAMP.PROD.ORAP05
    DEV DB link is      SAMD.DEV.ORAD01
I guess I will have to use REGEXP_REPLACE but not sure how exactly.
