KM WebDav URL is wrong

Hi folks,
I am working on a project to replace our existing EP 7.0 Portal, which relies heavily on KM for it's content, with an Enterprise Portal 7.0 in a cluster.
I have built the new cluster system, "Portalnew" and then transported the System Landscape, Portal branding, PCD content and KM content using their respective tools from the old portal, "Portalold".
For the KM Configuration, I used the tools in System Administration --> System Configuration --> Knowledge Management --> Content Management (Then Actions - Export - Start) to transport it.
For the KM Content, I used the Content Administration --> KM Content --> Export/Import iView to move all the repositories and stored documents.
Now, to the problem. These things all transported just fine, but when I look at the properties of my KM content objects (Example a Word Document, or even a GIF that is embedded in an iView) The WebDAV URL on server 'Portalnew' reads:
http://portalold.dnssuffx.com/km/docs....etc etc
WebDAV seems to be still pointing to the old server for it's URL???
I've looked all through the Content Management configuration, as well as through the, Service Configuration, Visual Admin and Configtool, with no luck (There are a lot of areas to look through, I think I've been thorough, but it's entirely possible I missed something)
I beleive this value is obtained though a variable, as I've seen reference to "http://<servername>:<port>/..." before, but I can't find where this is coming from.
Has anybody seen anything like this?
Any suggestions as to where to look?
Thanks,
Troy

ceck the URL generator service in the global services section of the CM config. Its an advanced option.

    Hi Luis,
we have the same problem and it seems that there are generally problems with Win7 and WebDav and not with Portal in particular.

  • Can't open webdav URL in Windows Explorer

I am working on a page that searches for collections (folders).
From the results page I would like a link that opens the folder in Windows Explorer.
But when I click on the webdav URL it opens UCM "browse folders" view.
I have installed DIS, but it didn't help.
I have a "network place" setup.
I can create a shortcut to open webdav in Windows Explorer, just can't do the same with a URL.
    Thanks

Our consultant found an easy way to open a webdav folder with the windows explorer from a form (IE only).
    <form method=GET name=webfolder action="http://myserver.na.d-rco.com:7797/dridctest/idcplg/webdav/Contribution%20Folders/" folder="http://myserver.na.d-rco.com:7797/dridctest/idcplg/webdav/Contribution%20Folders" style=behavior:url('#default#AnchorClick') target=WebFolder>

  • Opening a km folder using WebDav url

    Hi all
I am trying to open a folder in km using the webdav url via explorer.
    I get a message :
The folder you are looking for has no displayable content.
You can try one of the following:
Access the folder using the Navigation user interface.
Access the folder as a Web folder. Your operating system and browser dictate whether or not this will work.
I want to open the folder automatically as web folder.
Is there any way I can configure this ???
    Thanks
    Nitsan

    Hi Nitsan,
It depends from where you want to open the webdav folder.
    1. From explorer:
Go to My network places, and add a new one with the URL you used before. Now it should open directly as a webdav folder. You can also map this to a network drive.
    2 From a website:
Insert a link in the website using the following format:
    <a style="behavior: url(#default#AnchorClick)" title="Webmap" href="" folder="http://<hostname>:<port>/irj/go/km/docs/<km path>">Webfolder</a>
This should open directly from the website as a webdav folder.

  • Office 2010 & hash in webdav url

    Hi,
it seems that when opening a document through webdav has a problem with hash (#) characters in a URL.
This behaviour was noticed on Office 2010 64 bit (version 14.0.5123.5000) on Windows 7 SP1.
Suppose a word  file is in a webfolder /folder1/a # b/file.doc. (http://server/folder1/a%20%23%20b/file.doc). I have an explorer view on the folder without trouble. I can also open txt-docs with notepad.
If I try to open the doc-file, Word 2010 gives an error that it can't open file "http://server/folder1/a".
I can see also with Fiddler that a HEAD-request is done on http://server/folder1/a%20 and not on http://server/folder1/a%20%23%20b/file.doc.
The User-agent that performs the GET is " Microsoft Office Existence Discovery".
Can anyone confirm this behaviour or have a possible solution?

    Hi
    Thank you for using
Microsoft Office for IT Professionals Forums.
From your description, it sounds like an issue related to “How to configure Internet Explorer to open Office documents in the appropriate Office program
    instead of in Internet Explorer”.
To fix this problem automatically, click the following link to download Fix it tool. Click Run in the File Download dialog box, and follow the steps in the Fix
    it wizard.

    Notes
This wizard may be in English only; however, the automatic fix also works for other language versions of Windows.
If you are not on the computer that has the problem, save the Fix it solution to a flash drive or a CD and then run it on the computer that has the problem.
If not working, please try the other methods in following article:

  • Webdav url in ECM11g

    hi all,
I am using ECM11g, when I added webdav access by using "my network places" in winxp, I tested with the followiing url:
    http://localhost:7051/cs/idcplg/webdav
Result is this url is not valid, wile the http://localhost:7051/cs/ works fine, also I can use webdav with ucm10g from the same laptop.
folder_g has been enabled, I didn't find any component named ike webdav.
    Any suggestion?
    Best regards

First of all try: http://localhost:7051/cs/idcplg/webdav/ (you're missing the last slash), i tried without the last slash like you had it and it threw an error.
I don't know specifically for 11g but as far as I know for you to use desktop integration like you're trying to do you need to download the DIS component for your desktop (download from Oracle's website).
Also you need to have CoreWebdav (from update bundle and I think this is recommended over webdav component) or Webdav component from your folder component, I think if you just go into the folder_g component you can find the webdav component if not you can always download it from oracle.

  • XMLP 5.6.2 - Problem launching reports. The URL is wrong.

No problem when clicking on a report from either the "Home" or "Home/Guest" folder.
However drill-down into a folder named "Home/Guest/Test "and click either on a "ReportName" or "View" within it will yeild the following error:
"Not Found - The requested URL /xmlpserver/Guest/Test/test1/test1.xdo was not found on this server."
    The actual URL is "http://tineey.tiny.server/xmlpserver/Guest%2FTest%2Ftest1%2Ftest1.xdo"
Obviously the URL wrong. Is this feature by design <grin> or is there some configuration step that I missed or ?
    BG...

    Figured it out.
With some help from another post I discovered that the navigator.jsp has a URL Encoding issue. There were 2 places I made changes. Line 360 and line 368.

    Line 360
    Change from
    <a title="View Report" class="OraHeaderSub" href="<%=ctxPath + reportAbsPathEncoded%>">

  • Webfolders / Webdav URL

I have a website that works fine with the WebDAV redirector.
When "Web Folders" were supported, there used to be a FOLDER= parameter in the URL, that would allow a (domain) user browsing an HTML site to click on a link and 'open' (single click) an Explorer (Windows explorer) window with that folder
visible; files could then be copied / pasted.
Although we're a consulting company, I have a large number of users that cannot seem to be able to follow instructions to map a shared drive.  Honestly, "Drop Box" and the like really is an easier interface.
Is there any easy way to have a web page (could be asp.net, etc) that has a 'link' that you can click on and allow you to upload, download, and rename files?
Note: we do not have a license for SharePoint, the owners have decided it's too expensive.
I've looked at some of the new Server 2012R2 functionality, but nothing seems quite as simple as "click on a link and explorer opens up" (not IE, windows explorer) that we used to have back in 2003.
The folders I'm talking about are also 'shared' folders; for example, the "Sales" folder, or "Project" folder.  Although Work Folders looked promising, this note:
Users sync to their own folder on the file server - there is no support for syncing arbitrary file shares (e.g.: sync the sales demos share to my device)
pretty much kills that (this is exactly our scenario).
Of course, SkyDrive professional would probably do it, but our owners want to keep our content in-house.
Any suggestions for a way to do this with 2012R2?
    == John ==

    Hi,
As you said it seems that there is no new function in Windows Server 2012 R2 could help in this situation.
Map a share folder with Offline Files enabled should be a little close to your purpose - however conflict may occur if multiple users edit same file in their Offline copy.
Skydrive Pro (OneDrive for business) could link to a local server inside your company but it requires SharePoint so it is not available.
Maybe an FTP server could help? With FTP server you can upload files. But for editing you will need to upload a file again to overwrite it.

  • Opening Spotify URL PLays wrong song

Hi,  i have a problem with sharing spotify Track URLs. Always when a song lives in an Album with 2 CDs it plays the wrong song when i open a spotify URL. This url ( spotify:track:1noADETgR8OFyvszD3sI0n ) should be Bonnie Tylor - It´s a Heartache.but it plays Bonnie Tylor - Lost in France. I have tried with 2 different computers and 2 different accounts, booth windows. It always does the same thing.  Can someone test and doublecheck ?  Thanks for helping me out. Kind Regards, Christoph

I have the same issue. Also, when playing songs from "Popular" it plays the equivalent track number on the first album.
This seems to occur on the first album I play when starting Spotify. Going to another album resolves the issue and going back it's working as intended again.
Are you storing info from last played artist/album on shutdown and restoring it upon startup? Somehow the index on track-collections of last played artist seems to be +1 on startup.

  • Just started MobileMe.  Struggled with the setup of iCal but eventually got everything working fine for about a day.  Then I started receiving an iCal error message stating that the URL was wrong.  Of course, sync no longer works.  What is correct URL?

Just signed up for MobileMe.  Had a little difficulty setting up iCal but eventually got everything working.  Whether posting to iCal on my Mac Book or iPhone, sync seemed to be working fine for about a day.  Then suddenly when I opened iCal on my Mac Book, I would receive the following iCal error message:
"The calendar https://cal.me.com/calendar/calendar/principals/users/1.1117025442/ was not found on the server. Make sure the URL is correct."  I know where it is located but because I did not enter the URL when I set up MobileMe/iCal, I don't know what the correct URL should be.

  • How to select tool when url is wrong?

In order to watch some vid streaming, I loaded the vshare plugin. It does what it's supposed to do but also has inserted a toolbar (which I can not display) but when I enter a URL that can't be found, I get a page from vshare.
Can I; how? change this to another search page?

No. In finder hold down the option key and in the GO menu select Library. In the window that appears Open the  Preferences folder then scroll down and find com.apple.iMovie.plist and com.apple.iMovie LSSharedFileList.plist and drag them to the trash. Do this with iMovie closed. Thenreboot and relaunch iMovie.

There was a problem loading your page. Try retyping the URL in the browser address bar above or, visiting a related link below." this happens with each site i visit..or try to visit. it pops up briefly then that error message. what can i do? I can't do anything!!

    Error 20, 21, 23, 26, 28, 29, 34, 36, 37, 40
These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. Use the steps to troubleshoot security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
Also, check your hosts file to verify that it's not blocking iTunes from communicating with the update server. See the steps under the heading "Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > Mac OS X > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store." If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart.
