KP06 Planning
Hi:
In KP06, i have there are fields like cost center(group) and cost element(group). I have created a cost center Canteen costs and have given it in KP06, i want to ask that in cost element field do i need to give cost element relevant to the one which receives Canteen cost posting ?Whats the use of cost element field here. Please guide me.

Delete cost element in KP06 planning
Dear all,
I am facing the issue in cost run:
Our scenario is like below we done cost element planning for cost center activity type cost element combination(kp06) due to mistake user defined the cost element which is not relevant for activity price calculation after that i run the plan price calculation(KSPI) here i found the warning message "Cost element is not assigned to cost component structure, if i will ignore this message my cost component view and itemization view won't match. So i deleted the cost element value from KP06 , but when i execute the kspi same message is appeating.
1) Please advise me how to delete the cost element from kp06 resulting it wont appear in kspi.

"Best practice?": I would not call it best practice. At least it is SAP-reports and not
customer-specific reports.

I have down loaded the lay out and try to upload the plan values in KP06 , ( I have converted the Excel to CSV( Comma delimited ) format and trying to upload )
System giving a warning that
<b>File description ZID001 does not exist.
Message no. DUE010</b>
What could be the reason and how to rectify this error . Please help me

While I am doing an LSMW for Cost element planning through KP06, after entering the data and when I click the default all, the fields names are not displayed. Am I going wrong somewhere ?Thanks to Ajay & Siva.
Ajay, I will do the importing of your LSMW file and see what happenes.
I also want to know the excel upload. Siva, I refered the link and generated an excel file from KP06. But in the file, the cost centre option is appearing in the header like fields. Line items have cost element and fixed cost data. This means I have to use this upload individual for every cost centre ? I have around 300 cost centres for uploading data. I give below the template generated.

cost center / activity type / cost element master data (all can be planned in KP06) are all time dependent. Please check if one of the master data has limited validity during your planning period. >If yes, plan data can not be uploaded if the validity period is not hit.
Another constellation is:
Cost center "A" to be planned is valid for half the planning period with cost center category "A" and the other half planning period with cost center category "B".
Activity type to be planned is valid the whole planning period with cost center category "A". You will not be able to post/upload plan data for cost center / act. type for the time intervall the cost center is assigned to cost center category "B".

KP06 Plan Values are not updating in Cost center report

I have configured KP06 and uploaded through excel,It is getting uploaded successfully.
But after uploading planned values are not updating in the S_ ALR_87013611 Report.

KP06 mass planning through a single CSV file
Hi All,
I have created one Planning layout and assign it to a planner profile for KP06 upload. We are using CSV format file for this upload. Now i am able to upload Kp06 plan data for a single cost center for one period only.
But my client is asking for all cost centers plan for all periods through a single CSV file(mass planning). If its not possible for all periods plz guide me how to do for all cost centers for one period.
it would be appreciated if any one help on this issue.

Still - Does Excel upload allows you to upload multiple cost centers at a time??
To upload by All periods in one go - One needs to define 12 Columns for the Key Figures.... But is multiple cost centers possible?? As far as I remember from SDN posts, its not possible
@ Spandana - I personally Luv LSMW for the same reason... You can upload all in one go and per sec it uploads avg 6 records in KP06... That speed is decent enuf

Cost Center and Profit Center Planning
Hi,
I have one Co issue. Pls Suggest me the wiseful solution.
Cost Center and Profit Center Planning.
For F-2008 Planning data they have updated in the month of Aug, 07 for Profit and Loss Items and they have revised the plan data of some cost elements in the month of oct, 2007 (say 5% Increas). when comparing the cost center report to profit center report, both are not matching. the reason when i see and reconcile the document nos and values in between cost center and profit center reports i found out that there are some documents are missing in the profit center report.
wherever plan data had revised e.g for cost element Salaries they have updated 100000 Planning cost in the month of Aug, 07. In the month of Oct, 07 increased 5% i.e.5000. In cost center line items details i found 2 documents for Rs.100000/- and Rs.5000/- But in Profit Center Line Items i am getting only Rs.5000/- Value Document.
Note. As and when KP06 Plan data has been updated Profit Center line items are generating. It is not necessary to run any programme inorder to transfer Plan Data from cost center to profit center.
Observations From My Side:-
I tried to run the transaction code 1ke0. i have selected the cost object is Cost Center, version and had given Cost Center Parameter in development and quality clients and executed the same.By this time already existing data either deleting/ riversing and creating new documents fully except manually changed data in profit center through 7ke1.
My Question is
1.Upto what extent it will work.
2.will it be possible to transfer data from cost center to profit center only missing documents which are available in cost center, without disturbing of existing data in profit center.
3.suppose if i done this activity, there are some data which was already transferred from other cost objects like internatl orders & wbs elements to Profit Center. will the data get disturbed (deleted/riversed).
Pls suggest me the wiseful way to solve theHi

KP26 changing planned monthly amounts after using LTP
Dear all,
We used LTP to receive the planned quantities and calculate the planned prices in KP26.
Following steps were executed:
KSPP copy quantities from LTP to scheduled quantities. These are currently not correct in the distribution per month and cannot be adapted in LTP
KPSI copy scheduled quantities to planned quantities : total amounts on planned quantities are correct so via KP26 we changed the planned quantities to equal quantities per month with a total = scheduled quatitiy but per month we can have a big differences
KP06 planning on cost centers
KSUB assessement planning
KSS4 plan splitting
KSPI = quit a lot of error messages as month planned quantity <> quit a lot from scheduled quantities --> error message KP236.
In het settings of KSPI I used a tolerance of 100% and 'post anyway' but SAP used the scheduled quantities if this error arise which does not empty all the cost centers nor does it calculate the price correctly.
Any sollutions know please?
Can the scheduled amoutns be deleted so that it does not look at it anymore? I saw in other communications to use KP06, but this screen does not have the scheduled quantities nor can you change anything on secondary accounts like activity.

The below is taken from SAP Note 597159 - Price calculation seems to calculate incorrect values :
7. In the case of a plan that is not reconciled, the plan price is calculated on the basis of the scheduled activity.
A plan is reconciled if the scheduled activity for each activity type is the same as the plan activity. You receive a scheduled plan with the plan reconciliation (Transaction KPSI). In this case, the prices are calculated based on the price indicator of the activity type:
Price indicator 01:
Fixed price : Fixed planned costs / planned activity
Variable price: Variable planned costs / planned activity
Total price: Fixed price + variable price
Price indicator 02:
Fixed price: Fixed planned costs / capacity
Variable price: Variable planned costs / planned activity
Total price: Fixed price + variable price
In the price calculation, a plan that is not reconciled can sometimes lead to prices that are meaningless. In particular, the cost center is not fully credited. You must distinguish between the following two cases:
Planned activity > scheduled activity:
The calculation occurs as in the described reconciled case. In the list of results of the price calculation, this is indicated in the column "PL<>DL" (the same applies for capacity instead of scheduled activity).
Planned activity < scheduled activity:
The calculation occurs with the scheduled activity instead of the planned activity or capacity. In the list of results, the system issues error message KP236. The results are not updated, unless the "still post" indicator is set in the settings for the price determination. See the long text of message KP 236 for further information (the same applies for capacity instead of scheduled activity)."
I'm afraid system response can't be changed here.
Why in your case LTP can't pass correct quantities per period?

Dear Friends,
We loaded the KP06 Planning data through planning profile upload.
Now, my business asking to change the Distribtion key for some of existing cost center & Cost element combinations for the yaer 2011.System is not changing the distribution key when I use the profile which I used earlier to load the plan data.
Then,I set up planning profile by defaulting (custamization ) distribution key K411 (The one we set up for the year 2011) .Even now system is not chaging the distribution key through new planning profile.
could some one advice , how we can load distribution key through planning profile.

Yes, I did added Distribution key to the planning layout, but its still considering the d.key 2 as dafault, eventhough I changed the custmamization setting by defaulting d.key (which I want to upload).
Could you see the link above for screen shots.is there any way we can hardcode or default the D.key in the layout coloumn.Please advice.

Description field iis required in version plan of a cost centre

In KP06 , planning cost elementwise for cost centres : do we have a provision for writing down remarks for revision in cost element planning. ex : my repairs for X cost centre was 2 Lakhs and later changed to 3 Lakhs. Now I want to record remarks for increase in planing amount of this cost elementin version 1.
Pls. suggest.

You can change the business area in cost center by changing the Analysis period. If there's any data exsist it is not allow you to change the business area. If else block or eleate the cost center and create a new one ( even though this might not permitted if data exsist in related to cost center.

Target cost missing in feb month 2007 &2008

when i am extracting the product hierarchy reports using the t.code kkrs .
I am unable to see target data in feb 08 report only. For Jan month i am able to see both the target data and actual data.
In feb month i am able to see only actual data. In t.codes kp 26 and kp06 planning
was done properly. what might be the reason of missing the target data in feb month in particlar plant . okp2 also checked there is no period blocks.
i have to check any plant wise settings . this is very urgent .. please help me
