where do we have screen layout for cost center master data,to control fields.I need to supress business area field in KS01.

    Hello everybody,
    I have the following problem:
    I'm trying to make a vendor open item posting with transaction code 'FB01' and a special G/L-Indicator. Although the field status group of posting key and target reconciliation account is set all to optional, some fields which should be populated are suppressed, such as ZLSPR or ZBD3T.
    Does anybody know what the reason for this is?

    If the posting keys and reconciliation account's field status variants are maintained correctly, then you should also check if you are using any screen / transaction variants
    I am completely not sure about this, but you can check this. I hope this helps.

    Dear Experts,
    Please guide me how to suppress G/L account field in MB1A tansaction code,  I have created one new movement type with copy of 201 and 202 in T.code OMJJ for movement type 903 i have deleted gl account field KONTO even though field is displaying, 
    please guide how to do for movemnet type 903 while doing mb1a transaction gl account should not appeal.

    Hi Chandu,
    To Suppress the G/L account you need to supress at Transaction level, for you case the Transcation Code is - MB1A (Which is actually a Goods Issue business transaction. Bu->t you are did only at Mvt. type Level thats why system is giving the priority over Mvt. type to transaction level.
    So follow the path - SPRO->Materials Management->Inventory Management and Physical Inventory->Inventory Management and Physical Inventory->Define Screen Layout
    Now select your Movement type and got in side it and supress what ever want....

    Use transaction BD53 or from SALE go to Distribution scenarios -> Master data distribution -> Reduce IDOC type for master data.
    Enter ZCREMS for View (message type).
    Click on Create.
    You will see a pop-up box. Enter CREMAS in the Derived From field. Enter.
    Enter a description. Enter.
    You will see a list display with segment E1LFA1M in green and a * symbol. The symbols used in IDOC reduction are: * for mandatory, 1 for selected, - for deselected, x for core selected, and the Î.â for core not selected. The corresponding elements are highlighted in green, white, red, violet, and gray, respectively.
    Expand all trees. You will see nine other segments in red.
    Place your cursor on the E1LFB1M segment for company code data and click on Select. It turns white with a 1 symbol.
    Double-clicking on it will display a list of fields. You can select fields that you require (see Figure 7).
    Note that if a child segment is selected, its parent is also selected automatically in order to maintain the hierarchical integrity.
    After youâve selected the segments required and its fields, save.
    From the main screen, click on Activate.

  • Storage Location field suppressed in MIGO

    Hi,
    I have entered the Storage Loc. in the PO and when I do the GR, the Storage Loc. field is graded out at the item level, only "Plant" is displayed in the "where" tab. I have unchecked the "Create SLoc. automatically" box in OMB3 for Plant and Movmt Type. Also, in OMJJ the field is unchecked.
    Is there any other place where I need to make the changes?
    I am trying to post the GR to cost center.

    Hi Randy,
    Could you confirm the information below:
    1. Check the material type of the item in the PO.
    2. Check "Define Attributes of Material Types" of the material type in the specified Plant in the PO.
    (SPRO: Logistics - General> Material Master> Basic Settings> Material Types> Define Attributes of Material Types.  Select the material type in Step 1 and Double click on Sub-folder "Quantity/value updating".
    What is the setting for Qty Updating and value updating for your Plant / Valuation area?  If it is similar to UNBW, Qty updating should be selected and value updating should be blank.
    If both Qty updating and Value updating is selected for the material type and plant you're using.  The SLoc field will be grayed out during receipting, the system will treat this item similar to Case 1.

    Is there a way to use the onfirstrecord function in the field suppress formula?  I have a few fields that calculate and I do not want the first ones in the group calculating negative entries.  I thought about <=0 as an option, but I do not want to suppress entries that are not on the first line of the group.

    In group header, create a formula that initialises a variable:
    whileprintingrecords;
    numbervar x:=0
    In the details section, place a formuila that increments the variable:
    whileprintingrecords;
    numbervar x:=x+1
    Now conditionally suppress the details section/field (or use in your summarizing formula) using:
    numbervar x<=3 //will suppress when in the first three rows in the group.
    Bear in mind that this will not affect auto-generated group summaries, it'll only hid the section/field where it's in the first three lines.  You'll probably have to write your own group summary formula/running total if you don't want to include the first (x) lines in the total.
    That would look like (suppress everything but the group footer formula):
    In Group header:
    whileprintingrecords;
    numbervar x:=0;
    numbervar total:=0;
    In details/whatnot:
    whileprintingrecords;
    numbervar x:=x+1;
    if x>3 then numbervar total:=total+
    In Group footer:
    whileprintingrecords;
    numbervar total;

    Account: [Vendor Account]
    Second Style : (Next screen due date is hide)

    Posting Key: 29
    Special G/l : 1
    Account: [Vendor Account]
    There is only one field changed for this situation. And this changes the accounts used!

    for Special G/L 1 :        320    196
    I checked this transactions.
    1- OBA7 [Document Type] This is related for just Reference text and Document Header Text
    2- OBC4 [Field Status Groups]
    3- OB41 [Posting Key Field Status]
    All field status groups sets the Due Date field suppressed. But For the First Syle, It is required field and not hidden.
    And I could not find out How it can be.

    I need to check these fields in the program. But i am not able to get the field name and value in the program for dynamic selections fields.
    Please let me know how to get the field names and values in the program for dynamic selections .

    You have to read the itab <i>pnpdynse</i> in your Program to obtain the Dynamic Selection values. This itab has a deep structure.. you can set a break point in one of the events before <b>get pernr</b> & in the debug mode, you will able to display the itab <i>pnpdynse</i>.. you can then identify how to get the values into your code..

  • Field Partner Bank Type in Credit notes in AR

    Dear all,
    We sometimes need to pay by bank transfer credit notes to some of our customers.
    I know that it is possible to maintain the field Partner Bank Type in the customer master data for different bank accounts and then select in the AR item which bank account we want to use in the payment run.
    However, this field (BSEG-BVTYP) does not seem to be available when the line item in AR corresponds to a credit. Is there any configuration setting that can be amended in order to achieve this?

    per SAP standard, the posting key's have some fields suppressed. Please check the credit posting key you are using (for e.g. 11) ,T.code OB41. Look into the payment transaction section & make the bank partner field Opt.Entry.

    I wonder if there's a way to have an overview of all the messages suppressed in transaction RSRT ? A kind of table which shows what message is suppressed for what query ? Because I suppressed a message linked to a query and I didn't remember what query (but I remember what message !)

    Hi Maria,
    It is possible to see which reports have some of the warning messages suppressed but its difficult to find out which messages were suppressed.
    In order to get the list of reports for which the warning messages are suppressed, go to the table RSRREPDIR, give the version as 'A' and display all the entries in this table. Display only the fields 'ID', Version, Infocube, QUery and 'Suppress Messages'. Then you sort the list in descending order of the field 'Suppress Messages'.
    If there is a number in the field 'Suppress Messages'  for example : the value is '4000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000' it means there is one or more messages suppressed for this query, if the value for Suppress Messages is '0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000' that means there are no warning messages suppressed.
    Usually if there is one digit in this field, it means there is one message suppressed, 2 digits - 2 messages  etc... but i have not used it  much.
    You can then go to RSRT and check the exact messages suppressed for these queries.

    Field status controls which fields are required for document entry.like fields are optional,required or supress.
    Field status group
    Determines the screen layout for document entry.
    Fields can have the following statuses:
    Optional entry - you can enter data in the field
    Mandatory entry - you must enter data in the field
    Suppressed - the field does not appear on the screen
    Use
    Enter the field status group in the master record of a G/L account. When you enter a document, the definitions stored for the group are effective.
    Dependencies
    The field status when you create a document also depends on the posting key.
    The field status groups available are those grouped together in a field status variant and assigned to your company code.
    Field Status Variants
    In this activity you can define and edit field status variants and groups. You group several field status groups together in one field status variant. You assign the field status variants to a company code in the activity Assign Company Code to Field Status Variants. This allows you to work with the same field status groups in any number of company codes.
    You can also define and process field status groups. You must define a field status group in the company code-specific area of each G/L account. The field status group determines which fields are ready for input, which are required entry fields, and which are hidden during document entry. Bear in mind that additional account assignments (i.e. cost centers or orders) are only possible if data can be entered in the corresponding fields.

    This is probably a really simple question but...is there a way to return a blank number field in Crystal Syntax like "" for a string?

    you can do else 0 and then go to format field -> suppress -> type currentfieldvalue=0
    this will suppress the 0 value with blank.
