Kuler not showing up in cs5 flash

when i go window>extensions on my mac based flash there is no kuler link available. only a w3 and w6
i really want/need kuler. what do i need to get it please....
the internet is working fine.

In Flash CS5 , I see Kuler, Access CS Live , CS News & Resources sub menus in Window > Extension menu. What is w3 & w6 ?
Can you attach a screenshot of Flash with Window > Extension menu open ?
Is CS6ServiceManager process running when Flash CS5 is running ?

Lighting effects not showing up in CS5

This plug-in is not showing up on both CS5 and CS 5.1 running on a MAC OSX 10.6.7 Italian system. I have tried both from the Italian versions of PS and even from one new version in English of PS5.1 and it isn't to be found under the menu "rendering" or enywhere else. I see that it is in the plug.in folder and the folder of lighting effects is there as well, but it just doesn't show up. Any ideas about this bug? I've tried it on 3 different computers!

As far as i know, the lighting effects filter only works in the 32 bit version of
photoshop cs5/5.1 on a mac system.

Added: If you have the extended version of cs5, you might experiment using 3d lights
for lighting effects, which works in the 64 bit version of cs5. Turn your layer into a
3d postcard and use the 3d lights for various lighting effects.

Radial filter does not show in Photoshop CS5

Hi,
I am using the trial of LR5. I have made some adjustments with the Radial Filter. When "opening as a smart object in CS5," the radial filter adjustments do NOT show up. Crop does, basic exposure adjustments, but no radial filter.
Anyone know why? Would it show up in CS6? I do not want to go to CC.

Just so you understand, LR5 can pass the Radial data to ACR 8.1 in CS6, but you won't be able to alter the radial filters (or any of the LR5 only features) unless you go to ACR 8.1 in Photoshop CC. So, a SO in ACR 8.1 in CS6 will still be limited in terms of what you can and can't do in CS6.

Scanner not showing up in CS5 Extended after installing Illustrator 6

I have been working with Photoshop CS 5 Extended without any problem. I installed the TWAIN driver for it and when I go to FILE ---- IMPORT My scanner would show up and I could scan right ionto photoshop. That's how I like to do it.
I installed Illustrator 6 the other day, and when I went to scan something into Phostoshop CS 5 today, I noticed that my scanner was not in the FILE ------- Import menu. I can see that the TWAIN file is where it's supposed to be in the plug-ins - Import Export folder.
Why is it not showing up in my Photoshop FILE ---- IMPRT menu?
Is it because I have CS5 and Illustrator 6?
Is it a 64-bit mode --- 32 bit Mode thing? I tried to switch it to 32 bit mode, but there is no choice for it under the GET INFO menu.
Please help me find a way so I can scan directly into Photoshop CS 5 again using my FILE -- IMPORT menu button.

HELP: "Fitting" toolbar buttons not showing up in CS5

Hi All,
I can't figure out how to get this to work. The toolbar buttons in CS5 are a bit different than those that show up when I am in CS4 and I am not familiar with the changes.
I like the "fit content to frame", "fit content proportionally", etc. as toolbar buttons. I know there are keyboard shortcuts for these, which would be faster to learn... but I just don't work that way... I'm a visual person, I need to see and click on the buttons. But my CS4 buttons are gone in CS5.
How do I get the fitting toolbar buttons back when I have selected an image that I want to modify?

NVM... I answered my own question. The toolbar buttons that I was looking at were really there, but I just couldn't see them because too much space on my toolbar was taken up by stuff I don't use frequently. Once I removed the extras that I didn't want, they appeared!

Character palette not showing type preview – CS5.5 (Mac)

Hello, I had a problem that appeared literally out of nowhere with Illustrator CS5.5 on the Mac – I've been running 10.9.5 without issue until now when the contextual menu that usually shows a preview of the fonts available stopped showing all but two or three previews (attached an image to show the issue). I tried re-installing Illustrator which didn't make any difference, I then tried going to Illustrator > Preferences > Type and in the options there turned "Font Preview" off. The list of fonts then re-appeared but disappeared when that options was turned back on. I then tried altering the Font Preview size to small and that finally brought back the proper font previews in the contextual menu. They were also present when the large option, however they will not appear with medium selected as the font preview size. I then closed Illustrator, and trashed the preferences by holding down Command, Shift, Option and Control when starting Illustrator backup. I'm not sure if anyone else has had this issue or similar, but hopefully it'll help what can be a frustrating glitch!

This is a problem on Mac OS. Go to System Preferences/Accessibility/Display and check the box that says Reduce Transparency.

Swf not showing all objects in Flash 8

Hello - This has been happening since I upgraded to Flash 8
on the Mac. When I create a flash file and hit ctrl + enter to view
it, everything is there and works correctly. However, when I get
out of Flash and just try to play the swf file, some of the
elements don't show up. Sometimes it's text, sometimes its a logo
or something. Does anyone have any idea what causes this?

Perhaps the default player used to preview SWF is an older
standalone or older
browser player. They don't support any of the new features,
hence not all items
can be visible while playback.

Airport Express not showing in Airport Utility, flashing Amber

I have 3 Airport Express units. Two of the 3 work fine and show up in Airport Utility v.6 , but the third flashes amber and is not recognized in Airport Express. I have tried soft and hard resets, and it always goes to a flashing amber light and is never reocgnized by Airport Utility.
If I pull down the Wifi icon and go to Airport Express, I get the following window:

Sorry, but I am not familiar with any of the model numbers that you have posted. North and South American versions of the older Express models will be A1084, A1088, or A1264. The newest version of the AirPort Expess is A1392.
Regardless of the model number, all that you can really do is power up the Express for a few minutes, and hold in the reset button on the side of the device for 10 seconds. Then, release the reset button and allow a full minute for the Expess to restart to a slow, blinking amber light.
If you still cannot "see" the Express in AirPort Utility, you either have a defective Express or a much older version that is not supported by AirPort Utillity 6.x.

Not showing icons in Cs5

I am useing Photoshop CS5 as I use to use Photoshop7.When I had my psd files in folders I was able to see a thumbnail of the pic that was on the file.Seeing now I switched over to CS5 the only thing I see is the Photoshop icon and not the thumbnail of what on the psd file.How can I fixed this? I am useing Windows 7 Pro 64bit.When I was useing photoshop 7 on windows 7 I was able to see the pic but seeing I got rid of it now I cant.

Adobe used to supply a codec to generate thumbnails for Explorer. They no longer do.
There are good 3rd party codecs available to fill the bill. My personal favorite is a product called the FastPictureViewer Codec Pack. It's inexpensive and perfectly stable (I've been using it for years with Windows 7 x64.

Component parameters not showing

Hi - I have a series of components I've written in AS3 that work fine in CS3 & CS4. In the Flash CS5 authoring environment, the parameters are not visible in the Component Parameters section of the Property Inspector. The really strange thing is that if I create a .fla in CS4 with the same components on the stage, and then open that doc in Flash CS5, the parameters are visible and work.
Any ideas for how to fix this? What changed in CS5 to make them not work?
Notes:
I've rebuilt the .swc files in CS5 - doesn't fix it
I created an .mxp file for the components and installed with Adobe Extension Manager CS5 - doesn't fix it
The standard components that come with CS5 work fine
My components work fine other than not being able to access the parameters
Any help would be appreciated.

I think there are several problems going on in the change from CS4 to CS5 with regard to components. But I did find a fix to the problem I had, which is that in components that I built myself, inspectable parameters that worked fine in CS4 did not show up in CS5 (note that parameters moved their location in CS5 - in CS4 they were visible in the Component Inspector panel, in CS5 they accessible in the Properties panel).My components still worked, and were visible in the Components panel, just no parameters.
Here's the solution. When coding a component, you define your inspectable parameters in some code like this:

[Inspectable (name = "controller", variable = "controller", type = "String", enumeration="arduino,make,xbee,osculator,inputSource", defaultValue="arduino")]
Elsewhere in the code, you define your getter and setter functions:
public function get controller():String { return _controller; }

   draw();
Based on the examples I had seen when I first started creating components, I put the definition right at the beginning of my class definition, and my getters/setters at the end. Well, in CS5, this approach does not work. To make inspectable parameters work, the definition and getter/setters functions must be together in the code! I put mine right at the end of the class. Like this:

Texts are not showing up after upgrading to version 11

Could someone help me with why some of my texts are not show up on my Flash project? Before the upgrade, everything is fine. However, after upgrading to version 11, my texts are disappearing.
Before (version 10.3.183.7...)
After (version 11.0.1.152...)
The texts in the boxes will disappear, when I hover mouse cursor over it. Those boxes with texts in them are created with an external AS file, and the texts are dynamicaly changed/put in with an external XML file. There is a mask on the boxes, show only 4 at a time.

You will see the changes with Flash player version 11, and everything working fine with older versions.
I use iMacs with Snow Leopard and Lion, and this happens on all of the browsers with Flash Player version 11.01.152. I also tested on Windows 7, and it is still happening. Is this a Flash Player bug or something changed that I am not aware of? Is there a work around for this?

PS 5 not showing adj made in LR4

Using LR4.1RC & PS5 ver 12.0.4 Edit in PS w/ LR adj does not work. Some adj, like spot removal are carried over but others like exposure, clarity etc. are not showing up in CS5. Anyone else having this problem or am I the only lucky one.

Render in Lightroom instead of choosing "Open Anyway". If you don't see the warning, you might have to reset your suppressed warnings in Prefs.

Fonts not showing up in Flash CS5

Maybe I'm missing something simple but I just can't get some fonts to appear in Flash cs5 on mac osx. they work fine in Photoshop / Illustrator, but don't appear in Flash.
Any ideas?

Components not showing up in Flash CS5

What's the correct way to install components in Flash CS3?
first I tried to install the NewGrounds Ad component for AS 3.0 which delivers as an .xmp file. I doubleclicked it and in the Extension Manager it's listed as active under Flash CS5. I restarted flash, but the component does not show up in the components list.
I then tried to install the minimal components from http://minimalcomps.com/ which are delivered as an SWC. I went to the ActionScript 3.0 settings in flash, went to the "library path" tab and clicked browse to swc to select the SWC file. but these components don't show up in the components list either.
So what am I doing wrong?

1. Go to HELP > MANAGE EXTENSIONS
2. Choose Flash
3. Choose FILE > "Install Extension"
4. Install xxx.mxp from below locations one of them (you may need to show system folders on Windows to see).
5. I checked these folders on my machine but they were empty,,, but I already have components installed.
C:\Users\userName\AppData\Local\Adobe\Flash CS4\en\Configuration
if u can't find it try to go to the below path:
C:\Users\userName\AppData\Local\Adobe\Flash CS4\ar\Configuration
and copy all files existing in this folder to:
C:\Users\userName\AppData\Local\Adobe\Flash CS4\en\Configuration

Mediamind not show in Flash CS5

Hi guys,
The .mxp is installed (showing up in extension manager) but not showing up in Flash.
Tried restarting Flash, un-installing + re-installing .mxp, reboot.
only see the old version of eyeblaster workshop...I've read the related forum topics and the installation guide.
as I can do to fix it?
