Labview version 7.1 is too old to convert to current Labview version 8.0

I had developed my Labview code sometime back using LV-7.1 and now I am trying to deploy it on a new PC. The Test Stand version that I have is 3.1. I did everything right and after I installed my deployment package, I get the error that the Labview version 7.1 is too old to convert to current Labview version 8.0.
I am going to look into converting my code using Labview 8.0, but I am puzzled, why would it matter, as am using the same Labview (7.1) and TestStand (3.1) as before, and getting this error? I also installed the old Traditional DAQ drivers (instead of the DAQmx) and so everything is the same except that the PC is new.

Hey Shoab,
Are you getting this when you run the sequence in the Sequence Editor?  If so then I would suggest checking the adapter configurations.  Go to Configure>>Adapters select LabVIEW and click the Configure.. button. Once in there you can change the run-time engine to 7.1.
Let me know if that helps.

According to this, 8.2b23 is an illegal, bootlegged copy of LabVIEW.

  • I want to put music on my iPhone 4, but am not able to because I can not download the version of iTunes required because my mac computer is too old.

Am just having troubles in adding music to my new phone in that when I connect it to my computer it says that the phone requires the new version of iTunes being 10.5, but when I go to download this for my mac computer it says that this version of iTunes requires a different mac, meaning that my computer is too old.  So I am just wondering how I can get music onto my phone?!

You will have to upgrade your operating system version and possibly your whole computer.  We cannot provide more information easily until we know more about your system.
Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac", then "More Info..."  Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).
Apple does tell you about required equipment for the iPhone -- in 8 point medium gray type on a light gray box.   The Store associates kind of automatically assume everybody is running a new model computer and the one I met when we bought our iPhone had never seen a pre-2008 Mac and was somewhat puzzled why anybody would own such an antique.

  • "Quicktime is not installed or is too old of a version (39::0)" error when trying to open CS 6 psd f

I am editing some Sony EXCAM footage and decided to apply a Photoshop CS 6 filter to a potential background plate for a green screen shot. The EXCAM footage (HD, 1920x1080, 24p) plays fine in Quicktime player and plays inside Photoshop as well once imported. But after applying the filter -- which also plays properly in Photoshop -- and saving the composition as a psd file, I then try to open the psd file in After Effects, I get an error message that says "Quicktime is not installed or is too old of a version (39::0)." I have considered rendering the Photoshop comp as video, but I notice that unless I want an image sequence (which I don't) my export options are limited to a couple of animation flavors or jpeg 2000. I see no place in the Photoshop render dialogue box to access Quicktime settings and choose another codec. (An Apple Pro Res proxy might work just fine, for example.) So I'm making this a Photoshop question because I think there's something about Photoshop that is making the file unrecognizable to After Effects. After Effects does import a single frame of the image with the filter applied. (Yes, I am converting the video to a smart object before applying the filter.) Any thoughts?

Hi hertz. I was informed by Todd Koprivka (pardon if I got the last name wrong) of Adobe that owing to different speeds of development, some interactions between Photoshop and After Effects are not working as they once did. One of the programs has to catch up to the other. So, no, you can't open a video saved as a psd file in After Effects pending new developments. And while you can export your Photoshop video, it doesn't seem you have access to all your system installed codecs. I can't remember what is available at the moment. I think animation and maybe photo jpeg -- don't quote me. But it does seem that until they get the programs back on the same page, you do have to use one of those export options and then import the result as footage into AE. (Please note that I am playing this back to you from memory and may not have the details quite right, but I think I'm telling you the gist. You could try tracking down Mr. Koprivka at Adobe and emailing him. He seems to be some sort of community liason for AE.) Sorry the news isn't better -- especially as you have updated all the software and the problem apparently hasn't been addressed. That's disappointing. The workaround I'm suggesting is time consuming and, of course, you are baking in your Photoshop work. But if that's OK and you have the time for the export, you can eventually get your stuff into After Effects.

Be sure to do a backup before updating as protection. Photos should
be synced with your computer, music should be in iTunes, documents
should be backed up on your computer as should contacts in whatever
program you use on your computer. You should already have backups
of your important information to prevent loss in case of theft, crash,
physical damage. The question is not if your hard drive will crash but
when, and you iPhone is not a backup device nor fit for the only
source of any document, picture, music, movie, contact or otherwise
    irreplaceable information.

  • Pages version is too old!

I want to open a pages document.  It says my version for pages is 4. something.  And it is too old to open document.  When I go to the App store, it says it is already downloaded and purchased.  I tried putting it in trash and then downloading it again and it does not give me the newer version.  We paid for it recently. What can I do?

You now have two versions of Pages installed on your Mac. Both use the .pages document extension, and the document formats are incompatible.
Pages v5+ is in /Applications, and is the default application when you double-click a .pages documentDrag this application icon to your Dock and drop it there.
Pages ’09 v4+ is in /Applications/iWork ’09. It was put/left there by the Pages v5 installation processDrag this application icon to your Dock, adjacent to the Pages ’09 icon, and drop it.
If you open a Pages ’09 v4 document in Pages v5, it will be transformed into the new, .pages document format that is incompatible with the earlier Pages version. The same forced incompatibility occurs if you are using iCloud and share your documents with Pages v2.2.1 on IOS 7, or Pages for iCloud beta.
You should launch Pages ’09 v4+ and use its file chooser to select v4 documents. Also, if you close a Pages ’09 v4+ document, but the application remains running — double-clicking a document that was touched by Pages v5 — will cause the warning dialog about needing a newer version of Pages.

  • FRM-92160: Web Client version too old

    Hi folks,
i have been developing and running my forms using Oracle 9iDS and the Oracle 9i database. The forms are run in the browser using the version of OC4J that comes with the developer suite.
i installed Oracle 10g Application server forms and reports services recently, however i have decided not to run my forms through the application server as yet.
when i tried to run running a form, i had an error message saying
FRM-92160: Web Client version too old.
I tried looking up the error but couldn't find it anywhere.
I can't run my forms now and i do not want to go through the application server as yet.
Any suggestions as to what to do?
    Thanks in advance.

I run into the same problem after upgrading my AS10g/W2k to 904011: Forms from the MiddleTier did run, but a Forms started from the DevSuite-environment would raise FRM-92160.
What worked in my case was copying the MidTier's '...\forms90\java' files over to the DevSuite, ie.
    - backup [DevSuite_Home]\forms90\java to java0
    - copy [MidTier_Home]\forms90\java to [DevSuite_Home]
After that, my Forms run flawlessly from both DevSuite's OC4J and the AS MidTier. I also 'upgraded' formsweb.cfg in [DevSuite_Home] from JInit 1.3.1.17 to 1.3.1.18 - works.
    Cheers

  • Why do I get "Version too old to administer message" with CS5?

I am using CS5 with Windows 7 to administer and edit six websites.
With five sites, I have no problem accessing Administrator dialogue box.  With one site I get a message saying  "Your version is too old to Administer this website."  The error cropped up very recently, after I contacted my server, who sent me a new connection key. (I believe my server only has CS3 and have noted comments re compatibility.)
I tried making a new connection via CS5.-- connection works fine but the same error message crops up when I go to the Administer option.
I don't know if this is related to another problem that initially led me to contact my server:
I do a lot of updating on this site -- www.commentopia.com - When I attempt to publish, i keep getting an error message:
"Contribute encountered a network or file system error. Please try again etc."   When I try again,  the page publishes with no problem...
I encounter the same error message with my other sites and also get pages published only on second attempt.
    Any thoughts will be welcome.
    Thanks,
    Errol

HHow did you solve this problem?

  • How can I rollback from Yosemite to Lion? I need to do this as I purchased a newer iMac and I have the old 17" iMac HD that I want to get the data migrated from. When I start the Migration Assistant it tells me that the OS X version is too old. Help!

I have purchased a newer mid 2011 iMac for my wife to replace her dead 17"iMac from 2006. It was running Snow Leopard. The new iMac has Yosemite and when I go into Migration Assistant it tells me that the OS X is too old, implying that I cannot get the data from it. How can I migrate this data to the new iMac? I have the hard drive removed and in an external enclosure connected to the new iMac.
    Thanks,
    Bill Stratman

Since any OS since Lion does not support Rosetta or PPC applications, you may want to check her apps for compatibility.
Have you tried to follow all the instructions here:
OS X Yosemite: Transfer your info from a computer or storage device
Also, as a general note: when you got the 2011 iMac did it have the original OS installed as required by the SLA? The seller is to remove any OS version obtained at the app store since the license is not transferable - did he do that? If not, as the OS download is tied to the Apple ID used to obtain it, you will not be able to update apps or reinstall the OS, so may I suggest you do this step now before you start porting over all the files. Use Internet Recovery: Hold Command + Option + R while restarting/rebooting until you see a spinning globe and a progress bar. After 2 - 10 minutes, you'll be connected to Apple's servers and see a Utilities window. Go to Disk Utility and choose erase your drive; once finished, go back to the window and choose to reinstall OS X. This should install a fresh original OS version which you can then update and tie to your wife's Apple ID.

  • My ipad 2 just shows itunes and plug icon my computer wont take new version of itunes too old how do i get my ipad 2 working do not care about saving data just want to use this very expensive useless item!

My ipad 2 just shows itunes and plug icon my computer wont take new version of itunes too old how do i get my ipad 2 working do not care about saving data just want to use this very expensive useless item!

My iPad2 works great now after IOS 8.1 Update
I did my iPad2 update thru iTunes on my iMac and it was sucking the iMacs memory very low during the update. Safari froze before loading the first web page and I did a hard boot and went fishing as I saw where it was going to take a long time to recover. When I tried again it wasn't quite right and then did one more hard boot and then did a Reset by going to General-Reset-"Reset all Settings" and it works real well now without loosing any data and in-home wi-fi clocks at 17Mbps download. Probably like most of you I’m sticking with OSX 10.9.5 Mavericks as it gets the job done very nicely and don’t need all that extra fancy stuff that probably will slow things down.

  • I have transferred my documents from iMac to macbook air, but when I try to read then I get the message "This document is too old.  Download it to version 09.  How do I do that?

I have transferred my pages documents from my macbook pro to my macbook air, but I cannot read them as I get the message "This document is too old.  Download to version 09".  How do I do that?  I spent over an hour on the phone to a technician at Apple but he was no help.

I have the same issue having replaced my 07 iMac for a new iMac, I was using iWork 08 (Pages) and all my Pages documents cannot be read by the latest iWork (Pages).  I get the same message and, although I have worked out that any that had been exported to Word format can be read and then re-saved, I cannot now open the purely Pages documents to export them to Word first.  I am amazed that the new Pages cannot read Pages 08 document but can continue to read Word ones!  So, how can I get my hands on Pages 09, so that I can re-save them in the current Pages format?

  • Version too old error

    Post Author: niketya
    CA Forum: Older Products
I have never used Crystal Report so my knowledge about this product is rather poor.  We are using crystal viewer in a custom made application which generates crystal reports and saves them in 1rd format.  Granted we can export the documents to pdf, however people choose not to.  Anyway, we are getting a new web application and it does not use Crystal Report.  I have installed the CR XI viewer and when open a report file I get the following  along the lines of "Version too old use version 9 to open it".  Clearly the generated reports are from version 9.  I was wandering If I could open these reports in Access or in a stand alone application? Many thanksNiketya

Actually the JRE/Jinit version has nothing to do with the error. The error is caused when the Forms applet (i.e. frmall.jar, frmall_jinit.jar) version is not in sync with the Forms Servlet or Runtime version.
Clear the JRE/Jinit JAR cache and retest. If this continues to fail, consider whether or not you have recently installed any patches to the Application Server. If so, you may have not successfully completed that task. If the client jar files (i.e. frmall.jar, frmall_jinit.jar) where not updated during a patch installation, the error you are seeing is likely to occur. This can also occur if the client accesses more than one minor version of an Application Server installation (i.e. 10.1.2.0.2 and 10.1.2.2).
Installing a new JRE only indirectly solves this problem. The reason is that when a new JRE is installed, the JRE cache is empty the first time it is used and therefore resembles the cache clearing recommendation noted above.
FYI: FRM-92150 Client version too new occurs, after a patch installation, when the client JAR files are updated but the Forms Servlet or Runtime is not. Again, clearing cache can sometimes solve this problem if recent patching was not attempted.

  • FRM-92160:Fatal error:Webclient version too old

    Somebody pls assist.
I am running 11gR2 on Redhat, the forms can run on ie9 but can't on ie8. I am getting "FRM-92160:Fatal error:Webclient version too old". Anything I didn't do? I need this wotking as well on ie8.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    regards
    Mo

Fortunately, the "Web client too old" or "Web client too new" errors are very accurate and clear. When a Forms application attempts to start, one of the first things which occurs is a verification that the client applet (frmall.jar) is of the same version as the server side runtime which is about to host it. "Web client too old", means that the client jar is of an older version than the server side runtime (i.e. frmweb.exe). This can occur if more than one Forms version has been accessed from the same server. Remember that the jar files are cached on the client (in the JRE). So, if you were to run something like v10 from serverA then attempt to run v11 from the same server, you likely would end up with a client too old error. The same would be true if you first try to run 11.1.1 then attempt to access 11.1.2 from the same machine. The issue can also occur if for some reason the jar files in the installation were not patched during a patch installation. This would be rare, but could occur if the patch installation failed during the process. It could also occur if you copies old files into the installation. This is never a good idea.
So, as mentioned, start by clearing the JRE cache and retesting.
    1. Close ALL open browsers.
    2. Open the JRE Control Panel (found on the Windows Control Panel).
    3. On the General tab, click on "Settings..."
    4. Then click on "Delete files..."
    5. Then click on "Ok".
    6. Exit the JRE Control Panel and retest.
Important to note is that JRE7 is NOT supported with 11.1.2.0. Be sure that you are using JRE6. If you have JRE7 installed, I would recommend closing ALL open browsers and uninstalling it. You should have only JRE6 installed before testing.
