Lack of language

After the update of the Android on my Tablet to the 4.3 Version keyboard changes and the option to have as many languages as I want disappered! I need 4 languages, but only 3 available! How can I get back to the previous version, because the basic one I didn't like either, I need the Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) from 2013-08.
Please, help!

That's the new keyboard, I don't like it, we will get word suggestions on all languages that you had selected, its a mess

  • 508- Document Properties - Disabled ..."All of the text on this page lacks a language specification"

    Hi,
    When i try to do 508 check. I got the following error message
    "All of the text on this page lacks a language specification'
    I checked "FILE=>Document Properties". All "Document Properties" are disabled.
    We are using Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES2 to create this dynamic for and save it as static PDF file.
    Still, we have same issue. I am not sure, how to change or setup the language in adobe livecycle designer es2.
    thank you,

    Ah, I don't know that. "Tables" is a collection, not a simple array, and some careless experimentation shows that you cannot simply use .concat to paste them together.
    I'm pretty sure I've seen a couple of workarounds for a situation like this. Perhaps it's time to read "[CS3][JS] everyItem() and getElements()" -- i.e. Marc Autret's blog posts about this, at the end of that thread.
    That is, if you stick to using everyItem()! Perhaps it's easier to build an array "the old fashioned way". This code is based on my earlier assumption you had textframes-in-textframes, but you can rewrite it to cater for groups as well:
    t = app.layoutWindows[0].activePage.textFrames.everyItem().tables;
    tableList = [];
    for (i=0; i<t.length; i++)
      tableList.push (t[i]);
    t = app.layoutWindows[0].activePage.textFrames.everyItem().textFrames.everyItem().tables;
    for (i=0; i<t.length; i++)
      tableList.push (t[i]);
    alert (tableList.length);

  • Lack of language reference

    Hi, I'm using Jdev and I'm new on this.
    I have found some examples such as:
    String strkey = myrow.getkey().toStringFormat(true);
    My question is: where can I find the complete reference of all the functions, classes or commands that I can use to build my applications?. For example I tried to locate (getkey() ) on Jdev help but I didn't find the reference of how to use it.
    I appreciate your sooner input.

    We provide online help, JavaDoc, and tutorials with our BC4J framework.
    If you right-mouse "Show JavaDoc..." on the name of a class in your code, it will show you the JavaDoc for that class.

  • Lack of languages for SMS

    When typing SMS the English dictionary is the only one available. Will future versions include other dictionaries?
    In addition, it is not possible to forward a SMS and it is not possible to send a SMS to more contacts at the same time. Will these features will be available. Most phones have all this and I was surprised not to find this on the i-Phone.
    Thanks,

  • Language Support for iPhone

    I just got the iphone this morning. Its pretty good, except for two big problems. One is the EDGE network, which is slow, but nothing to be done about that.
    The second is the lack of language support. I expected it to support the languages that OS X does, but it seems that the iphone is most limited in this regard. Of particular irritation to me is the lack of Hebrew support, as a good chunk of my iTunes library is in hebrew. In addition, websites don't render correctly with unsupported languages...
    Is this going to be fixed? soon?!

    Tom,
    The limitation seems to be one of the 4 included encodings that are in Mac OSX's version of Safari, but not supported by iPhone's Mail interface. I received 6 emails from Japan (thru the iPhone's Yahoo mail interface) and one of them came in as junk characters. In a browser, you can just keep trying the other encodings to make the junk characters readable-this is not possible (from what I can tell) within iPhone's mail interface.
    If I have time, I will log into the Yahoo mail account directly thru Safari on the iPhone, to see if that works better than iPhone mail-but I'm assuming they use a similar encoding scheme. I also assume that once they release the iPhone in Japan, this will be addressed

  • Setting the document language in a pdf for accessibility

    I have created a form in livecycle and ran the full accessiblity check in Adobe and it says that 'All of the text on this page lacks a language specification'. I tried to go into the document properties>advanced and set the reading options but everything is greyed out so I can't change anything. I am the form author so I don't know why I am unable to change this. Can anyone tell me why I can't set the language or if there is another way I could do this?
    Thank you!

    Sorry, I don't know. But bear in mind that the accessibility checker in Acrobat is not relevant to you at all. An XFA form looks like an empty PDF to accesibility rules. I really don't know if there are accessibility rules and tools for XFA forms.

  • Default Locale won't carry over to Adobe Acrobat Language Property

    Repost from http://forums.adobe.com/thread/340914 . I have the same problem and have searched everywhere.  Any suggestions?
    In LiveCycle Designer ES, you can set the default "Form locale" under "Defaults" on the File Properties page.  This is essentially the default language for the form.  The problem comes when you generate a pdf from the form.  Regardless of this setting, if you view the Advanced tab under the pdf's document properties, the field "Language" under Reading Options is blank, and greyed out - you cannot change it.  This is the field Adobe uses to check for accessibility- if it is blank it gives an error message upon an accessibility check reading "the form lacks a language specification".  I have searched all over this forum and all over the web trying to figure out how to correct this with no luck.

    Hi LBarton,
    Have solved this issue? I have exactly same issue with PDF generated using Livecycle Designer ES2. Adobe documentation says following:
    In LiveCycle Designer, setting the primary language is accomplished by setting the Locale property of
    the form and the Locale property for the top-level subform. To identify changes to the primary
    language, change the Locale property for any object that uses a language other than the form’s
    language.
    To set the Locale property of a form:
    1. Choose File > Form Properties and select the Default tab
    2. Select the appropriate language for the Form Locale (see Figure 17)
    3. Click OK
    But this doesn't work. Let me know your experience.
    Thanks.

    Hi
    Please maintain the language for that sales document type using the following path...

  • New mail applications/reading mails in non-latin alphabet foreign languages

    I work with China and Korea a lot. And I receive emails in Korean and Chinese language.
    How do I allow my mail to read emails in Korean and Chinese. I have a friend who can read his iPhone emails in Japanese but I cannot read my iPhone emails in Korean and so I wonder if he has some kind of setup thats different than me.
    Also, I am curious to know some opinions about any other mail applications for Mac that anyone can suggest and reasons why they prefer it over the standard mail application, if they do at all.
    Thanks
    Dan

    If your problem relates to the operation of your iPhone, please use this forum instead:
    http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=1139
    The iPhone lacks various language capabilities which are in the full OS X. I think emails may have to be in UTF-8 encoding to be received correctly.
    If you have problems reading non-latin emails in the full OS X, let us know. Usually they can be solved by switching the encoding in Message > Text Encoding.

  • Portuguese Keyboard Support on iOS

    About keyboard support, I have 2 iPads (generation 1 and 2) and I still am unable to use it daily for work because of the lack of language support on the keyboard layout. That standard keyboard on iOS is fine for messaging but not for any article writing, since you need to have full character support.
    Recently, on advice from a friend I bought the EasyKEYKeyboard app from the iTunes Store and it shows that a pratical full language keyboard is possible on a touch screen device such as the iPad. Unfortunately the app is a word processor on its own and does not bring that keyboard to the rest of the system. As a word processor is buggy and unreliable (no Save and it crashes, making you loose everything you wrote... Scary, never used it again).
    Why doesn't Apple understand that iPad will only be used worldwide for serious work unless you bring full language keyboard support?
    I can believe that millions of non-english users will feel the same...

    You seem to be unaware of the standard iOS system for creating accented characters.  It is to hold down the key for the base letter and then to select from the popup menu that appears the version that you want.  You do not even need to activate the Portuguese keyboard for this, English will work fine.  But the Portuguese keyboard will give you Portuguese spellcheck and autocorrect.
    The iPad has been enormously successful worldwide with a huge volume of sales, and a large number of languages supported in the OS interface, the keyboard, and the autocorrect system, which you can see listed in the tech specs.

    If you find the screen keyboard too cumbersome for serious work, you can use a bluetooth hardware keyboard.

  • Oracle 11g Express for Ubuntu Linux

    Just like Oracle provided express edition for linux for 10g, will there be an easy to install express edition of 11g for linux? I mean via apt-get or debs or synaptic. Of course, synaptic being the easiest I have EVER seen oracle install on linux.
    I want to try Linux as a developer, but installing 11g on linux the normal way is a pain. I do not want to spend days trying to install 11g on linux. I want to get busy doing something with 11g such as write queries and design databases.

    Yes, sigh.
    If only people could write what they mean!My apologies for not being adept at the language. But we have both been wrangling with my lack of
    language skills for years, so we should be used to it by now.
    >
    Are you saying EE when you mean XE, perhaps?No. I meant EE using synaptic. Which does not exist. Which may explain why some people think the installation is difficult. The tools they have learned are not there and the fight to find or learn the alternatives is not pleasant.
    And even the simple stuff may seem. difficult. Some people, including modern developers with IDEs, are very concerned about the difficulties of editing in Linux. In my Oracle on Linux courses, I see grown men near tears when I tell them to edit sysctl.conf ... you should see the visible relief when I describe gedit or kate.
    You have been doing the baseline install for years - Back in the Red Hat 9 days, I'd been handing out the HJR Linux install (with your written permission) in my classes for years. So I expect us to get it done in a short time. Cookie-cutter boot, thru install Linux & Oracle, to tnsping shouldn't take us (you and me) more than 1.5-2.5 hours. (Especially if all we want is a basic data dump.)
    But ... reading the docco, translating the steps into a manual sequence, and finding and running the synaptic equivalent to the documented rpm commands - aka a synaptic install - can take days. Heck, just reading the docco to get it straight under a certified distro can take days.
    After that, OUI is simple, and (if the pre-reqs are clean) nearly fool-proof.
    BTW - why do we have to fight with the pre-reqs? Why can there not be more variants of the SUSE-supplied orarun.rpm to do all that manual stuff?

  • Properties for Accessibility Standards

    I have created forms in Adobe Livecycle Designer 8.0 to be used online. In order to make these forms "Accessible" for our website, I need to be able to add form properties and test the accessibility from within Adobe Professional ( this functionality isn't available in Designer), but the Properties options are greyed out when the form is opened in Professional. Designer does allow you to add some properties (Title, author etc.) from within the program but once they're opened in Reader or Professional the properties do not show and therefore do not allow it to pass accessibility testing. We need to be able to use online forms but meeting accessibility standards is mandatory for our website here.
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks

    I am truly hoping SOMEONE has an answer for this!  I realize your post was some time ago - in case this went "off forum" here is the background.
Any pointers????

  • Windows Thin PC SP1 32-bit - can't properly install Photo Viewer package

    I have performed a clean installation of Thin PC SP1, and tried to add a Windows Photo Viewer package:
    1. Downloaded Standard_7SP1_32bit\Standard 7 SP1 32bit IBW from http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=11887
    2. Found a Feature Package named winemb-photos-viewer.cab
    3. Installed it via dism /online /Add-Package /PackagePath:bla-bla-bla
    It seems like package is installed, however if I double-click any photo, or Open with Windows Photo Viewer - result is: nothing launches, no new processes in task manager.
    Hm?

    3 years have past. Hope this could help. If the Photo Viewer is installed by dism, it will not have the MUI language file for its launch. You can go to Program File\Windows Photo Viewer\en-US. (en-US may differ to your installed language). The photoviewer.dll.mui
    will not be there.
    To solve this problem, just simply reinstall the english language pack (or the language you use) again by "Dism /online /add-package /packagepath:x:". Some default language packs can be found in the disk of Standard_7SP1_32Bit as you downloaded.
    A whole lot of time to find the real answer why Photo Viewer won't launch and the print in right click menu doesn't work just because it's lacking of language files.
