Language change on ipod touch

Please help - I have just returned from turkey where I had to plug my ipod touch into a computer as it had frozen and instructed me to plug into itunes. All my settings are now in Turkish which I dont understand!!! Can anyone tell me how to change the language back to English. I have tried syncing it, changing account details, restoring settings and it is still in Turkish. Please help cos it is driving me mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

really rock? i've always been able to change the language by doing the following (have put how far down the list each one is so the OP can find it even though theirs will be in turkish):
on the iPod:
settings
general (2nd/3rd down - it has the same logo as the settings 'app' logo)
international(12th down)
language

Wrong language on new ipod touch

I ordered my new 32GB iPod Touch direct from Apple about 4 days ago. It arrived today. I have two problems. 1- it is currently displaying everything in the wrong language and I can't find anything in the online manual on how to change it. 2- when I type in the serial number on Apples support site, it says it's incorrect. I own many Apple product and have never had this much trouble. What a disappointment.
Any thoughts or suggestions

To change language go to Settings>General>International>Language. I would call AppleCare about eh number problem.

Whenever I open Safari on my iPod Touch it defaults to Italian, any idea how I can change the language to default to English?

If you are talking about the keyboard: go to settings>> general>> international>> keyboards>> turn off Italian and make sure that English is on.

Multi-language support for iPod Touch keyboard

"There might be an app for that" sounds good, but trying to find anything on the Apple site is a nightmare. I'm simply looking for a multi-language touch keyboard application for my iPod Touch.
I type quite a bit in German and need to easily switch between English (Qwerty) and German keyboards.

yes this is also true,
as fur as it goes for displaying text in greek the results are pretty good.
but when it come to writing...this is a totally different scenario...
unfortunately you have many other options apart from writing greek of curse.
to conclude and this is something that keeps bugling me,

but i think that the OS the ipod touch runs is based OSX 10.4 (tiger),
if not mostly the same OS.
if the above assumption is correct in some whey..and by having in mind that the support for many languages is already realized for the above OS
is interesting to notice that the support of this already realized languages is limited in the platform of ipod touch ( concerning writing and spelling).

I sounds like your actually restored the iPod on your friends computer. Look and see if other data/media is really from your friends account.
Besides Settings?>iTunes and App stores look at Settings>FaceTime. Settings>Messages>Send and Receive, Settings>iCloud, and Settings>Game Center
If other things are associated with his account you either:
- Connect the iPod to your syncing computer and restore from the backup of your iPod that you made before your updated the iPod
- Restore for an iCloud backup you made before updating

I recently bought a Mac, to replace my PC. I have a 2nd generation iPod running the latest (4.3.3 I think). I have transfered all my files from my Windows to my Mac through USB, and all the files are also sitting on my Mac. However, when I insert my iPod to the Mac, it can't sync apps without erasing the data on my iPod. How do I do it without erasing it? I have it backed up on my Mac and PC. I also have a brother with a 4th generation iPod. I assume the soliution would be the same? THanks!!

Changing an iPod Touch to a new Apple ID- alternative(s) to rebuying apps?

My son bought an iPod Touch, and since he wasn't yet 13, I've let him use my Apple ID for his app purchases. But I don't want him to use my ID forever, and since he's turning 13 soon, I thought I'd get him his own ID. But I was just now told that, since purchased apps (games, in his case) are tied to one's Apple ID, that he'd need to buy all his games all over again.
Is this true?
Is there any other way around this?
If we do decide to go this route, does anyone know if he will then lose all his game data (levels, scores, etc.), or is there some way for this data to be retained or transferred?
While I'm not thrilled at the idea of paying twice, he hasn't bought THAT many games, and I'd be willing to fork over the money in return for having my Apple ID be just mine. But I do understand that he'd hate to lose all that he's done in his games, so I thought I'd ask if anyone had any ideas.

Yes, purchases are permanently tied to the account they are purchased with and cannot be transferred in any way. So if you would like your son to continue using and syncing these Apps, we would need to continue using the ID to at least authorize the purchases he had already made before obtaining his own Apple ID.
I believe if he back ups his data via iTunes, purchases the Apps with the new Apple ID, he can restore his iPod from that backup and retain all of his scores, levels etc.

My iPod touch 5 (64gb) has no problem. But the earpods socket is kinda dirty. I Don't know what happend. I tried the buds to clean it but the dirt doesn't go with the buds. You should take it to your local Apple retailer to see what they can do for you, but if it's more than 14 days from date of purchase then they are under no obligation to replace it. If the phone jack is dirty that is most likely your fault.
