Laptop will not read any memory cards

Laptop Model: Satellite P500 (PSPE8C-026006)
I have tried several times to get this memory card reader to work. At first, I tried putting in a memory stick PRO Duo with the memory stick pro adapter (so that it could read it), and I was getting a "File I/O" error and that the stick had to be formatted. I tried again with several other different sticks and got the same error. I then tried to update the drivers for the device and still no luck. But now, the memory stick is not even being detected at all.
Could someone please give me a good link to the latest driver for this memory card reader + how and where the device will appear on the Device Manager list so I know it's properly installed.

Desktop manager for mac will not read the memory card

I have a Storm and the desktop manager does everything correctly except it will not recognize the media card for music. It says "please insert a media card in your device." Ive got the 8GB microSD card and it shows up in the phone memory but i cant load any music from my computer.

OK, I spent an hour and a half on the phone with RIM support this morning trying to fix this very thing with SUCCESS!!! Here is what you need to do. Keep in mind that this fix can only be done on a PC and NOT a Mac. Sucks, but its reality. Click on the link below and make sure that the PC your doing this on has the BB desktop manager installed on it. I went to my dads house and used his PC. After the tech and I learned that the DM has to be installed before you start the fix we were able to resolve the problem and the DM on the mac recognizes the media card. I'm also able to see the BB1 and BB2 icons on the desktop now so I can drag and drop if I want. I hope this helps you all. If you need additional help with this please ask. I may not be the most tech savy person here but I may be able to help a little. Here you go:
NOTE: MAKE SURE THAT THE DESKTOP MANAGER IS INSTALLED ON THE PC YOUR USING FIRST. I ONLY INSTALLED THE ENGLISH VERSION WITHOUT MEDIA SYNCH (to reduce download size and time) AND IT WORKED GREAT.

Follow the directions to the tee and it should work fine.
PS: If you have problems with your blackberry and you cant find the fix here or on CB call your carrier tech support. If they cant resolve they are pretty quick at getting RIM on the case and resolving without you getting charged for it. Verizon was helpful at that and when I spoke with BB tech support they were extremely helpful. I was very impressed.

Sounds like you may need to repair the Disk Permissions on your drive where your images are stored.

Hi David. I don't have as modern a Macbook Pro as you, mine is a 2012 model, but perhaps I can help. I often find that my SD card will not load when I first insert it. I have to remove it and then put it into the slot again firmly.
You also haven't posted any information about the SD card. What size is it, do you know how it is formatted, has it worked in that same mac previously, where did it come from, does it currently work in another device (such as your camera)? This sort of information will help to narrow down the problem.
If you post some more information I'm sure people will try to help you. In the meantime, if you look at your post again you should see "More Like This" at the bottom of the page and you may find an answer in some of those related posts.

Most likely the phone is locked to a carrier that you haven't tried yet.

My optical drive will not read any music cds now or recognize a blank cd in the drive. it might read some data discs. what is wrong with it and how do i fix it?

The optics might be dirty. Try running a cleaning CD through it and see if that makes a difference.
If not, it will have to be replace.

BB Curve 9220 not reading the memory card

Hello,
I have a Blackberry Curve 9220
v7.1.0.746 , Platform 9.50.0.80
1 week ago I was using this phone and that time i didnt have a memory card in this device. I opened wechat and it showed either to insert memory card or to disable usb mass storage in this device. I didnt have a memory card that time, so, i tried todisable the usb mass storage and I did that.
Today, I inserted a memory card in this device, it shows that "Media Card is presently not inserted in this device"
When I searched the internet I got some solutions. They showed that to enable mass storage mode and check media card support on.
I turned Media Support set to ON.
I have made sure that the media card is formatted and inserted properly.
BUT
When i pressed the option (BB Logo key) button , it didnt show the option to enable usb mass storage. It just showed these options : "Switch app" ,"Select Text" , "Save" , "Help" , "Close".
There is no option to enable usb mass storage and it is not reading the memory card
Please tell me what to do !

If you connect your BlackBerry smartphone to your computer using a USB cable but does not appear as a drive on your computer, you may need to activate the USB mass storage.
On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.
Click Device> Storage.
Press  > Enable USB mass storage.
If necessary, type the password for the smartphone.
Your smartphone appears as a drive on your computer.
To disable USB mass storage mode, press  > Disconnect.

Nokia 55302 xm will not pick up memory card

My nokia 5530 recently turn itself off.
THen when I turned it on it wouldn't pick up my memory card. I've done everything i can think of. But nothing works!

Have you a memory card reader you can use .
Or tru connecting phone to Mass Staorage USB mode can you then read your memory card .
If you can read by either method suggest you copy memory to PC .

My phone will not recognize any sim... i tried a few and it just keeps saying check sim... i bypass the activation via devmode but i cannot get it to recognize the sim. I even went thru the trouble of using webos doctor and everything went well but still will not recognize my sims....

T3i will not see any SD card that I've used in it before. Laptop sees them fine.

Everything was fine when I took the card out and transferred photos to my laptop, but when I put the card back into the camera, it said "No Card," so I tried another card that I use with this camera and got the same message. I tried them in my laptop and there is no problem with them there. As I said, I use both cards in this camera, alternating between the two of them with no problem, all the time. One is a PNY and the other is an EMTEC (MicroComputer's brand, I believe). Both are class 10. One is 8 Gigs and the other 16. But none of that should matter, since they have both been fine up to now. So the problem is with the camera, but what and why???

Hi Mike, thank you for your reply. I love my T3i; since owning it, I have become a much better photographer not only in my skill, but also in my creativity. I was heartbroken when the No Card in Camera message appeared and I was unable to use it. Fortunately, and curiously, the problem corrected itself the morning after my initial post, but as I am obviously not the only person, nor am I one of just a few who have had this problem with their T3i, I am concerned that it's just a matter of time before it does it again. I read in one of the forums that it costs $250 to repair this, and I just don't have that kind of money to spend nor do I believe I should have to on what is apparently a defect in a camera that is less than three years old . Can Canon work with me (us) here?

My phone was reading my card but then I pulled it out and it will not recoqnize it now. Its like theres not even a card there. I also cannot find the pictures that I was moving from the phone to the memory card.

Make sure the card is inserted properly and that it's properly latched. Then reboot the device by removing the battery.

Pictures will not load to memory card

Palm Treo 650 with 4gb memory card. It takes pictures but gives the message "cannot load file" when I'm trying to load it to the memory card. Pictures will load to the internal memory if set that way, but I need to use the card because of limited resources in the Palm.

The 650 cannot use a card larger than 2GB, and it has to be a "regular" SD card, not an SD HC type.

I need help doing a clean install.( keyboard shortcuts?).Macbook will not read any of the disks/ turns off

I installed a new 'used' Logic board, im my macbook 13.3 and it turned right on!..( i was out of warrenty)
Apple logo and spiing wheel, then turns off..
After reading several forums, I went into self mode, did the 2 checks within in and got an error which pointed to the OS software being currupted..
so I have inserted the Os disk, the disk-repair disk and a disk warrior disk, but none of them are being read. I hear the Macbook starting to read the disk then the disks are ejected and the systen turns off.
Is there a way i can do a clean install on the HD? shortcut keyboard shortcuts?
or force the disks to be read as the first boot device like of that in a PC's bios settup?
I have no data on the computer that I wish to save btw.. just want a fresh install..

Unfortunately the necessary software to reinstall your OS is not located on the hard drive. If your MacBook will not accept the disks you have you are going to need a hardware repair, probably the optical drive.
If you have access to another MacBook you may be able to install the OS on an external hard drive and use that to boot your MacBook. You may then be able to get any data off of your hard drive.

My Thunderbolt will not read my SD card!

I have not done anything unusual to my phone, but the other day my phone refused to read my SD card and will not allow me to take pictures or access the ones I have, I did not drop it, i have tried taking it out and re-inserting it several times. Really not sure what is going on...

It could be a corrupted card, are you able to read it with your computer using a card reader?
