LaserJet 1022 on Windows 8 64-bit driver problem

Hello!
After I've upgraded my computer and installed Windows 8 my printer LaserJet 1022 won't work - the drivers fail to install.
Operating system: Windows 8 64-bit
Printer: HP LaserJet 1022 connected via USB
I 'm trying to install latest drivers for 64-bit system (driver version 2012.918.1.57980 [18.09.2012]) and getting an error message that the driver cannot be installed because of a policy blocking NT4.0 drivers.
In the device manager the printer is listed in the 'Other devices'.
I have read forum topics on Windows 8 drivers installation but none of the solutions worked for me.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Pavel.

Hi @debblong ,
I see that you are having issues installing the printer on Windows 8. I would like to help you resolve this issue.
To access the Start in Windows 8 to do the steps provided in the previous post, in desktop mode, press the Windows key and R at the same time, to show the run command line. Then you can type in %temp% to access the files to delete them.
For the printer not being detected, we can try a few things.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet and turned on, and the USB cable is connected directly to one of the back USB ports on the computer if using a Desktop, if you are using a Laptop try another USB port.
The USB cable shouldn't be longer then 6 feet.
Is the cable a 2.0 or 3.0 cable? How to determine whether a USB 3.0 device is operating at SuperSpeed?
Is the USB port on the computer 2.0 or 3.0?
Follow these steps in this document to get to the device manager to check for any printer entries.
How do I get into Windows Device Manager?
Then click on Identifying problems in Windows Device Manager.
In the list click on Universal Serial Bus controllers and look for USB printing support, (make sure any other printers are turned off or disconnected) right click and uninstall it. If you have any others with exclamation mark or other devices in the list, delete them also.
Let me know what it showed in the device manager.
Then click on Action, across the top of the window and scan for new hardware.
If the printer wasn't listed at all in the Device Manager, try another USB port on the computer and another USB cable.
Restart the computer and the printer also to see if the printer will be detected.
If the printer still isn't recognized, if you have another computer, connect the printer to it to see if it is recognized.
Just to rule out a USB port on the computer, USB cable or hardware issue with the USB port on the printer.
Here is the link to the driver page, if you need it. HP LaserJet Full Feature Software and Driver.
If you need further assistance, just let me know.
Have a great day!
Thank You.

  • Hp laserjet 1018 with windows 7-32 driver problems

We've used this printer with our new computers for 2 yrs now. The last 4 months, we've had issues with it not printing all of the time, but. Could turn it off and back on and it would work. Now it's not printing at all. I have downloaded driver and utility, it works to print 2 things and then quits again. If I reinstall the driver again, same thing, prints 2, then quits. I have replaced the cable, tried everything. This is my main printer at my front desk (billing, patient receipts, etc), I need thirinter up and running ASAP! Having to reinstall the driver every 15 minutes is not going to work for me!

    Hi,
Please delete the LaserJet 1018 printer driver from device & printers. Then click on 'print server properties' -> driver tab and delete 1018 driver (if listed).
then from server properties, go to 'port' tab-> delete printer IP port (in case of network printer)
download basic host based driver from following URL:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=bi-58503-3&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&...
    and complete the driver installation.

  • Drivers/Help for HP LaserJet 1022 for Windows 7 (64 bit)

I have a LaserJet 1022 which doesn't work with recently upgraded Windows 7 (64 bit). I downloaded  the drivers from the site, but the printer properties in Windows says that it doesn't need drivers, yet it doesn't appear in my list of printers when I go to the print dialog.  When I run the plug & Play basic driver wizard, it stalls at the point where it asks user to connect the device.  Despite the device being connected (and displaying in Printers and Devices) the wizard just hangs at this point, and I have to cancel setup. Please help, I have to have a printer, and the reason why I chose this Laserjet is specifically because it is easy to install.

    Dionee,
I dont think replacing it is in order quite yet See if the document helps provide a resolution and if not post back with any new details and we can move onto the next step from there.
    Thanks!

  • Laserjet 6P and Windows 8.1 Driver

The Laserjet 6P is not in the Printer list in Windows 8.1 and I don't see it as a supported OS at HP.com.  Does anyone know a driver in Windows 8.1 that I can use for my old, but sturdy Laserjet 6P?

My Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit system has built-in drivers for this printer model:
I don't know whether the drivers are present on a fresh Windows install; they may only have appeared in the list after the Windows Update button was clicked on the above Add Printers dialogue, then waiting (perhaps for several minutes) whilst additional drivers were downloaded, and the list repopulated.

  • No Windows 64 bit Driver for GT30L SATA DVD Drive

I recently updated my compaq presario to Windows 8.1.  I've been pleased with the change but Windows installed an incomaptible driver for my DVD drive.  It installed the driver for the 32 bit OS.  From what I've learned 32 bit drivers can't work in a 64 bit system.  Here is a link where I discovered this:

  • Installing windows vista load driver problem

I am trying to load Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 32. I follow the bootcamp assistant instructions. I select "Disk 0 Partition 3 BOOTCAMP" as instructed but the "Next" button will not function. I can tab or select between drives, Refresh and Load Driver but cannot get to Next. The Bootcamp instructions say to load drivers after Windows is installed but I can't get Windows installed?? What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks,
    Bill

Found my own problem. Had to click on drive options advanced and format. That still didn't work because the disk was too small. Increased disk size and successfully completed install.

  • Windows 10 Printer Driver Problem

Since performing a clean install of windows 10, I find I cannot reinstall my printer. After using HP Smart Install to download the driver and attempting to install, I recieve a security warning which reads: This Publisher has been blocked from running software on your machine. I desperately need my printer/scanner working. Please can somebody suggest a fix. Thankyou. Craig.

Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums. Thanks for posting! I would like to help you with the security error you are getting when attempting to install your HP LaserJet Pro M1217nfw Multifunction printer on your new Windows 10 operating system. It sounds like the error is possibly coming from a security program? Do you have an anti-virus program installed on your computer? What I'd recommend, would be to do a cleanboot of the computer (this just restarts the computer with all of the non-essential programs not being run), to install the software without other programs interfering. You can follow the steps here for Windows 8 and 8.1 and the interface is the same in Windows 10 - How to perform a clean boot in Windows  Once the computer restarts with all of your extra programs not running, you should be able to do the installation. Please respond to let me know if we have resolved this issue.Good luck!

  • Windows Vista Bootcamp Driver Problems

    Hello,
I have installed Windows Vista 32bit through Bootcamp, and the installation went through fine. I inserted my iMac "Mac OS X Install DVD" that came with my imac i bought in august. I tryed to run the program, but it said it was only availible for Windows 7. I could not acsess the internet through Wifi on Windows.
Could anyone give me instructions on how i can get the Windows Vista Drivers without the disk? the drivers, that bootcamp prompts me to install onto a usb, are also for windows 7 only. (ive already tryed this)
    Thanks!

    The hatter,
While running Vista, I navigate to Bootcamp setup.exe (my 10.6.6 disc is in the drive), it quits mid-launch and tells me Windows 7 is required. But Bootcamp user's manual says Vista is ok.
I'm using an 21.5" iMac with 10.6.8. I installed Windows Vista Home Basic 32 bit via bootcamp assistant. Vista is running fine but i can't surf the net. Error msgs say "network adaptor not found." Other forums lead me to believe it is a matter of bootcamp installing the proper drivers so vista can recognize my network hardware. But I can't even run bootcamp in Vista from my snow leopard CD b/c it quits and requires Windows 7.
My firmware is up to date as I checked it manually. According to my boot rom version, I need firmware update 1.9. After downloading and launching, msg tells me it is not compatible with my system. Please advise.

  • Windows Vista Audio Driver Problem

My Windows Vista Drivers that I got for my MacBook Pro from the installation disk have bad audio drivers. The sound on the speakers is too low, and the microphone won't even work. When I talk into the microphone while under Sound Properties in the Recording tab, it shows that the microphone is picking up sound. However, in Ventrilo, and Windows Sound Recorder, there is no sound from my microphone.
I'm using Bootcamp 2.1. When will this problem be fixed? Will Apple release a new bootcamp version to fix this problem?? This is very important to me.
If anyone has fixed this problem, please tell me how you did it.
BTW, the audio device is called "Cirrus Logic CS4206A (AB75)"

Manually install it from the file I have attached below.
Unzip the file to a folder.
Go to the device manager and click on the smbus controller needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on update driver.
Select the browse my computer for driver software method and browse to the folder you unzipped.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way.

So I recently jumped ship from XP Home to Vista x64 to XP pro x64 and I am having issues updating my drivers I downloaded the MCP55_64_9.17_MW31006 at this site http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=driver&maincat_no=1&prod_no=1415
NVIDIA nForce 550/570/570/590 SLI System Drivers
When I run the install though nothing happens Nvidia splash then nothing and the files are not recognized by the device manager.
Any idea what the issue could be? sadly need the ethernet update so I can connect to the internet lol also the 2 discs have no effect neither work vista or the xp (tried vista since the x64 drives actually worked on it)

Vista x64 ultimate. I wanted to try X64 XP but I ran into problems thus the original post ^-^
Vista is nice I could live with it for Dx10 but man UAC sucks every attempt to disable = vista freak out and repair the file ^-^
ATM I use XP Home with the DX10 crack (I own vista so I don't see a issue) but yet to install any games on it. I will load up and check it out   Still the fact I get medium with x8 aa is good imo. Game looks fantastic and with luck the FC2 engine won't be such a resource whore like crysis. I recall the Sandune (think thats the name) for FC1 even on low settings things still looked fantastic.

I am also intended to install windows 10 when available.Best regards.

    Hi cengizdilek,
Thank you for considering Sony Community!
Did you install a retail copy of Windows 8.1? If yes then possibly there are drivers or software that are not compatible with the current Operating System. Or you might downloaded the version of Vaio Control Center that is not compatible with Windows 8.1. If you're using a retail copy then make sure to download the necessary applications and drivers on Sony's website (based on your location or from where you purchased the unit). You may reinstall it as well.
Your Vaio VPCF13Z8E is not a U.S. model and we have limited information about your unit. We do not have the drivers and software compatible with your laptop.
Unfortunately, we are unable to assist customers outside of the US. We kindly recommend visiting our Sony Global Web site for information on contacting the Sony Support Center in your region at http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/Support/.
    Hope these help.

  • HP LaserJet 1022 driver problem with Windows 7

I can not load the drivers for LaserJet 1022 on my new acer windows 7 lap top.  I got a windows 7 machine a couple years ago and Had no problem loading drivers.  Any one have any suggestions.?

Hello Abzozo1.  I understand you're getting the "webcam not detected" error.
What is the exact product number of the notebook?  This document can show you where it is located.
Has the webcam ever worked since you upgraded the operating system?
To ensure that you have all of the software installed properly I suggest installing the HP Software Framework and HP Support Assistant.  You can then run HP Support Assistant and it will automatically install any missing software.  If that doesn't resolve the issue I suggest you take a look at my thread located here.  This thread covers the common solutions to this error.
Take a look at that thread and let me know if any of the steps help.
Have a great day!  I'll keep an eye out for your next reply.
