Latest s/w upgrade causes repeating pop-up notifications - L7580

L7580 - latest software upgrade - I am now getting pop-up balloon windows in lower right of screen - every 5 seconds - alternates between 2 windows:
First sayes "HP Officejet Pro L7500 Series, Your HP Officejet Pro L7500 series is connected"
Second sayes "HP Officejet Pro L7500 Series, Click here for more information" with a little "i" ICON.
When you click for more information, the balloon goes away, but nothing displays.
System performance is very poor - some "services.exe" is eating a lot of CPU time at about 5 second intervals as well.
How can disable these pop-up balloon notifications?
Is there a software update that will address this problem?

I have the same exact problem except without the services.exe
I emailed HP and am waiting on a response.
I have the 2570 Series
Not sure if it is the hpqste08.exe or the hpqbam08.exe (this one shows up as "HP CUE Alert Popup Window Objects" in Vista under Processes), I just know I want it to STOP.
Way to go HP, first the printer ships with an error of disconnecting and deleting itself from the OS and now it won't stop telling me that it's connected.

I've got a problem with my system too. Since the last update I can't use any tools to erase, paste or correct without the display going blank as soon as I start to tool on the image. It matter not what size the image is. I paid good money for this crap?

OS 10.5.x is the max OS for Macs with a PowerPC processor. If your iMac has an Intel processor you can upgrade to Snow Leopard OS 10.6.x and possibly Lion OS 10.7

Caution - Leopard does not support classic mode. So, if you currently open OS 9 apps in classic mode, you won't be able to do this if you upgrade to Leopard.

Welcome to the  discussion forums.
Try going to synching in the sources menu on your tv and selecting 'change itunes library', when it gives you the passcode check itunes to see if the tv is showing up as a new device, if so try entering the pass code. It may be that your tv is seeing itunes as a different library because of a recent upgrade.

If this doesn't resolve it you most likely have a hardware failure. Fortunately, your phone is in warranty, so if you take it to an Apple store they will replace it.

The problem on my Intel Mac mini with external Klipsch speakers (two mid-range/high and a subwoofer) is REAL obvious as the system emits a hum like a Spinal Tap amplifier turned up to #11 when 10.4.10 powers down the audio circuitry
Then, if I play a song in iTunes, it first pops and the hum disappears right before playing.
Quite annoying. I restored the mini from a recent backup to 10.4.9. Problem gone.
I'm glad I test updates on the mini before applying them to my Intel iMac 24. I guess I'll just hide & watch what happens before doing any more updates.

Concerning the Snap, Crackle Pop Audio problem in the 10.4.10 update:
Please. Just do the right thing and fix the audio.
There is no need to power cycle the audio subsystem to save .0005 amps on the laptop line.
And then to make your Mac mini/iMac/other desktop users have to put up with it when using AC power is ridiculous.
Put the audio subsystem back like it was in 10.4.9 and let the laptop battery freaks looking for mini-amp savings get a "work-a-round".

Backup is unable to make a restorable by Disk Utility backup. You can restore pieces of the software as outlined in my FAQ about backing up user data:

But to be able to restore a backup with Disk Utility, you need a cloning utility to have made the backup.

I think I need to buy upgrade from 5.5 to 6. I found one on NextTechDirect for $150 to download. they are not a scam according to "scamadvisor.com."
When I drag the InDesign file that that was supplied by another designer who said it was CS 6 onto my desktop it says CS 5.5. Is that because I only have CS 5.5?

No one is likely to recommend where you buy your software from other than Adobe in these forums... not so much because of support for Adobe, but mostly because of lack of support/knowledge of any third party vendors. I only know from experience that when you invest in bargain pricing you usually get what you pay for.

Every time I attempt to download the latest version of Adobe Reader I never receive a RUN command. My modem appears busy, but nothing happens?

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried to download but got an error message that this FTP file cannot be downloaded via Internet Explorer.

I just installed Firefox 5. Unfortunately, F-Secure's "Application Control" now repeatedly pops up "Changed Application" messages in an endless string. It will not accept my attempts to "Allow" the new version of Firefox. Since Firefox 5 is not compatible with F-Secure, I must return to my previous version of Firefox. I am very disappointed that you have put me to all this trouble. How do I delete Firefox 5 and return to the previous version of Firefox?

You might have an app or iTunes purchase that belongs to a different Apple ID. Look very carefully at the popup and make sure it is referenceing your correct Apple ID.
