If I have lost my music collection I will be switching platforms ASAP. It is insane that Apple has updates seemingly every day for their products.I was in your same situation with 14 downloads and 14 attempts.
You have to make sure that your Mac is booting into 64 bit mode. You can make sure of this by going into System Preferences and scrolling down to 'Software' and making sure that you are booding with 64 bit Kexts.
If not, restart while holding the 6 and 4 keys down until you see the spinning gear wheel and try installng again.
BUT, what I also did was to go into Applications, click on the Lion installer, Get Info, and give yourself custom priviliges to Read And Write.
I did this simultaneously, and I don't know what function did it, but it worked for me, with no further downloads of the installer.

Can we eliminate one minor possibility: are you in the UK and using Virgin Media cable connection? I ask because the latest 'Superhub' firmware is corrupting large downloads for some people.

Change the permissions on the download in /Applications
sudo chmod -R a+rw /Applications/<<the download filename>>

Once it has started navigate to 10.6.8 Update Combo and download and install per the directions. After it has installed if you still have difficulty re-starting, go to System Preferences - Startup Disk and make sure the internal HD is highlighted and click restart again and restart again in Safe Mode. Finally restart normally.
BTW I have asked the moderator to remove the serial number of your machine for your own security. Please DO NOT post private information such as email addresses, serial numbers etc.. to a public forum. -

i have already purchase mac os x lion .it was now saved in appstore on my mac.but i could not able to install it.
The file may have been corrupted when you downloaded it, go to Applications and find the installer for Lion. Trash it. Restart App Store, it should show up for Install. Re-download it. and try and re-install it.
Make sure you use the same apple ID account and pass word as before.

It had something to do with the date on my computer. Mavericks installer apparently does a date check of some sort and that is where the error is coming from. Open terminal and check the system date. It may be wrong. Another poster in the forums told me how to to check the date and change it. Click here for the link to the explanation. Be careful because the date is in a weird format.

By twice, I mean is there at least two copies of the same Time Machine data? Backing up several times a day with Time Machine does not yield two distinct separate restorable sources. Only one is made.

I am getting the error above after creating a simple list with 4 columns. the list is created during a new site definition activation but when I click on my list, I get the error above. the list works if I deactivate the feature and re-activate
it. but has the error whenever the new site definition is created.

Hi everybody!
I have a sharepoint 2013 farm with 5 sever. I upgraded a site from sharepoint
2007 to sharepoint 2013. I had some problems to install and configure workflow manager and register it. but by now I found problems and I can create a workflow and run it successfully. My big problem is when I try to get a lookup field in my flow. the
flow suspended and I got the following error:
“List does not exist . The page you selected contains a list that does not exists. It may have been deleted by another user.”
Any solution???

Please make sure the source list of the lookup column and the list which consumes the content from the lookup column exists on the site collection.
In addition, to correct this problem the following steps should be applied:
Delete the affected Workflow association
Go to "Central Administration" - "Application Management"
Select the affected web application and choose "General Settings" - "Resource Throttling"
Increase the value configured as "List View Lookup Threshold"
Perform an iisreset to ensure that all in memory instances of the web application settings are gone
Add the Workflow association back to the list
