Latest version of UCCX Agent desktop in VDI or XenDesktop environment
Is anyone out there using Agent Desktop for UCCX in a XenDesktop VDI environment. The release notes for the latest clients don't appear to list XenDesktop specifically but mentions VDI support and XenApp support.
I've a confirmation from Calabrio that it has not been qualified and is not committed to a specfic release at this time.

UCCX Agent Desktop v.7 taking over Windows active session when phone rings
I'm trying to figure out how (if possible) for the Cisco UCCX Agent Desktop application from taking over a users Windows session every time the phone rings. This is very annoying and takes the end user out of what ever application they are currently in whenever their phone rings. Does anyone know how to change this?

I think the answer you are looking for is that, at least for NW2004s Unicode, it is patch collection 2007/4, which is referenced in OSS Note 1013331.

When I start itunes up and click on a movie I get an error message: saying something about Quicktime error! How can this be if I have the latest version.
I'm running Windows 7 on a desktop and before the upgrade of itunes every movie played. Today I bought a new movie and it said I needed the upgraded version of itunes for it to play. What a mess. Any help appreciated.had similiar problem with update in september. did the uninstall and reinstall procedure twice and still no luck. finally I just dragged the movie ontop of quicktime and dropped. clicked the play button and movie played fine. hope this helps.

Reminder for UCCX agent desktop

We are using uccx 7 and got some requirement to have a reminder pop up when the agent is not ready to remind them that they need to change their status to Ready.
Our agents are not just sitting in the chair and waiting for the incoming call, they have to move to other area to do some other stuff sometimes, but during that time they may get incoming call and their agent status was changed to Not Ready, when they came back to the desk they just simply forgot to change the status back, is there any way that we can have a pop up window to remind them?
In the Cisco Desktop Administrator, I can configure the popup window under Voice Contact Work Flows when the called number match the trigger, but there is no way I can add the condition that it only happen when the agent is not ready; In the Agent Management Work Flows, I can have the popup window when agent is not ready, but it is not what we want, it popup whenever the agent's status changed to Not Ready.
Maybe there is a way in the script that when there is incoming call, it check the "Not Ready" agents and send the popup window to those agents, but I am not sure how to do it.
Can anyone kindly give me some hint for this?
CheersAs you can probably see reading this thread, there is no easy, built-in way to handle this. I think the Cisco approved way, would be to leverage the Wrap up time, and force them into the Ready state, as oppose to warning them.
I have one other method to throw into the mix, and your experience with it may be different from the next person's; so please test this out first before deploying it all over the place.
If you have MS Office installed on the CAD PC, you can actually leverage a feature out of the MS Word COM Object to view a list of running Window Titles, and since CAD puts the state of the Agent in the Window title, this works.
You will need to copy and paste the below code into a notepad document, and then save as "All Files" and name it something like "monitor.vbs".

Then you will need to start it by one of several ways. One way is to place it into the startup folder of the windows PC. Another way is to have it launch via CDA Run External Application on CAD Startup. It just runs in the background all the time, monitoring the title of the CAD window.

UCCX Agent Desktop Auto Answering Calls
Has anyone heard of a situation where CAD is auto answering calls? The users are reporting it sporadically only when they get a off a call and a call is waiting in queue, the call will automatically connect right after they hang up the first call.
Sounds bizarre, I know.
Short of restarting services, i'm not sure where to go with this one. I've had a couple clients report this issue to me. They are running UCCX 9.0 (2) SU1
Thanks.We've had a similar issue. While the agent is talking, the CAD changes state to "work" i.e. it thinks that the call has been hung up. It then goes to "ready" while the agent is still talking. As a result, when the agent hangs up their call, they are in "ready" state and are given the next call immediately.
You may want to check if this is the case with the agent state.
If the state changes are happening like this, check that the handset is snugly sitting on the cradle, reboot the client PC and have them log off/on the phone.
Be sure also to check the CAD agent logs. I'm about to check ours now to see if they show anything up. -
Latest version of Blackberry Desktop software
I am trying to determine if version 4.3.0.15 (Aug. 15, 2007) is the latest version of the Blackberry Desktop software. I am running Vista and Outlook 2007 and cannot synchronize my mail between the Blackberry and Outlook. I am only able to update my calendar and contacts by doing a one-way sync from the destop to the Blackberry. Any suggestions? Thanks!
After reading though this thread again, it seems I misunderstood part of it, my apologies. I dont think it is a corrupt calendar as you can sync from pc to the bb with no issues. Perhaps simply deleting the intellisync folder would help. Try this KB and see how it works:

It could also be an issue with your mail profile. You could create a new profile that points to your pst and set the desktop manager to sync with that. If deleting the intellisync folder doesn't do it for you, i can give you more detailed instructions on how to do this so please post the version of outlook you have and your version of windows.

In properties it says they are not valid shortcuts; when I try to delete it says "Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk" what to do.... Is it possible to go back to a previous version? I was so happy with the previous version - I only installed the latest version because I was in Dreamweaver (the first time literally in years) and I wanted to view an .htm file in firefox, and when I selected that option, firefox automatically did a bunch of stuff I don't understand, but it seemed to me that what happened automatically was that a beta version of Firefox was installed, and I was prompted to select Firefox as the default browser (it has been my default browser forever, not sure how it was all of a sudden not my default browser)... anyway I thought that I could rid myself of the beta version and return to normalacy if I installed the latest version. Now I have these three invalid icons to deal with. Any help you can offer will be very much appreciated. It would make me very happy if I could delete the invalid icons from my desktop, or at least hide them from view somehow. I created a folder on the desktop, and tried to put them into it, but that didn't work.

I have Mavericks on my iMac and the latest version of iPhoto 9.5.1 (902.17) but no book, card, calendar, album, slideshow, print and order prints options under Share, which still shows Set Desktop. Any ideas please?

Airplay mirroring.
Macbook 2012 retina display. Unable to see desktop on television, audio works perfectly. Both OS on ATV and Mac are running latest versions.

I figured it out! It was a firewall issue.
I use Handsoff and I checked it before i wrote here. There was no "user defined rule" that denied the communication but when i changed to "All rules" the program displayed several rules regarding AppleTV and its IP.
So if anybody has the same problem make sure you see all rules of your firewall and get rid of the AppleTV related rules generated by the program itself. You dont need to update to the latest iOS on the AppleTV!
I hope that I can help some people with this info to fix the problem. -
I've been a CC member since the start; about 6 months ago the CC desktop app on my main desktop PC stopped showing the latest versions of most applications (for example Photoshop, Illustrator, etc., only showed the 'CS' version), and stopped giving me alerts of updates. It still works fine on my (much lower spec) laptop.
I tried the various fixes (e.g. deleting the opm.db file in 'AppData/Local/adobe/OODB) but it didn't resolve the problem; I had a work around (downloading installation files from the Adobe website, and using the 'check updates' function in all of the apps).
With the recent up update, and the release of the '(2014)' versions, these work arounds no longer work. The CC Desktop app still does not show most current applications, and trying to download apps from the Adobe website sends me to the CC Desktop app, which then doesn't download the new application.
I foolishly thought a completely clean installation might help, so I uninstalled all my Adobe apps, ran the 'cleaner' app, & tried over ... things have gone from bad to worse, because I can't even get the old (pre-'2014') versions of the desktop applications to download in order to install.
My immediate problem is not having a working version of Photoshop on my main PC - the 'CS' version is available to me through the CC Desktop app, but not the 'CC' or 'CC (2014)' versions.
The spec of the PC is above the minimum spec for the 'CC' apps, so I don't think that is the problem.

Any ideas welcomed as to how to resolve this; I'm at my wits end ...

Of the three onward links from that page -
(1) "For additional information please see Creative Cloud Help | Missing CC apps from my Creative Cloud Desktop app" is a dead link (>"Sorry, this page is not available")
(2) "If you have confirmed that your computer meets and exceeds all of the listed System requirements then please see CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed." I had already worked through the 'solutions' on that page, culminating in the (bad) advice in 'Solution 4' which is what has got me into this current mess;
(3) "If you have already have Download Adobe Creative Cloud application you can use Download Center : Adobe Creative Cloud for your Product Download." isn't helpful as the download links send me back to the CC Desktop app, & it still won't allow me to download the 'CC' or 'CC (2014)' applications.

UCCX and agent desktop +E.164
Hello - we are running 10.0 UCCX and looking to see if +E.164 is supported. The issue we have with this is that with agent desktop it does not allow the + sign in the extension field. IS there a work around for this?

Use of E.164 DN on agent devices requires Finesse. E.164 is not supported with CAD / IPPA.

BT Desktop Help latest version doesn't work.
After a reboot of my computer today I received an onscreen message that I was not running the latest version of BT Desktop Help so I went ahead with the update. After the update was installed and it was going through the launch process where it informs me that the diagnostic modules are launching, I then received another message telling me that I was not running the latest version and to click on a link to install the latest version. Clicking this link had no effect whatsoever.
I then decided to completely uninstall the BT Desktop Help in the correct way and rebooted the computer before downloading and installing the application yet again from the BT web site. Unfortunately I am still getting the same message when I try to run it so it would appear that there is a bug in the update/latest version. I am running Windows 7.
Although I rarely have cause to run the application, any help on this issue would be appreciated. ThanksMy advice and that of many on this forum is to uninstall BTDesktop Help. It is a piece of software junk and can cause more problems than it solves. It is not needed to connect to the Internet or for anything else on your computer.

Hi,
Today I have found a strange thing with CTI Toolkit Agent desktop (Version 7.5.10510). One agent is logged in on CTI Toolkit agent desktop with his Agent ID (5101) to an extension 999111. Then from other PC another agent is also able to login on CTI Toolkit agent desktop with same Agent ID (5101) to the same extension 999111. Tough they are logged in with same agent ID and extension number from different PC but it is not desired that 2 person can login with same Agent ID and extension at a same time.
Can any one tell me that is this a bug or normal procedure.

this is normal (although it does not seem to follow any logic).
If you want to change this behavior, modify the following registry keys on the CTI OS server:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Cisco Systems, Inc.\Ctios\CTIOs_[instance]\CTIOS1\EnterpriseDesktopSettings\All Desktops\Login
RejectIfAlreadyLoggedIn
WarnIfAlreadyLoggedIn
