We are all users here. You are not talking to apple on these forums. There is no way anyone here can know the decision making process apple uses to determine what changes to make to the operating system. Also none of use care about which phone you might buy next.

Back up first (Time machine) as much as possible.
Un-install and re install Itunes.
First and foremost download the updated iTunes from apple website. After downloading Uninstall itunes and all its component ( Dont worry, itunes library where your movies and music is located will not be deleted. Please follow instructions on the apple support page). The problem might be the AppleMobileDevice.kext

My iPhone caller image is still appearing full screen instead of in the right-hand corner,even though I've assigned the images to them on my mac.

I had originally assigned images to my contacts through my iPhone which made them appear full screen when recieving/making a call, but now I want the images to appear in the top-right corner. I've assigned all new photos to override the old photos through my Address Book on my Mac, but they still continue to be full screen. Can anybody please explain to me what's going on? I'm an intermediate-advanced user. Thanks!

You did not try what I provided. There is a difference between syncing and replacing.
As with MobileMe, there should be an option with iCloud to replace info on cloud with what is available in the Address Book - all at once. This may not make any difference in this regard.

Make sure you have the Latest Version of iTunes (v11.1.5) Installed on your computer
iTunes free download from www.itunes.com/download
Then... Restore as New (not backup) and Re-Sync your Content.

You can reset the phone and it won't cause any problems or cause you to lose any data - Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Silver Apple appears.
The other thing you should do is to reset your network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to set up your Wifi again, but that oftentimes clears things up.

Go to System Preferences (under the Apple logo in the menu bar). Choose "General". Click "Always close windows when quitting an application".
That should fix it.

option discovered in preferences. Really this and any feature that moves deletes or edits a users data should as far as possible be OFF BY DEFAULT. It shouldn't by default and without the users specific say do this dangerous and unnecessary thing without even letting the user know what it's doing!!! And then cause me a few hours (as i'm new to mac) searching for the option so as to switch it off. If i hadn't noticed the status cage declaring that it was copying files then i might never have twigged that this insane thing was occurring. And if i hadn't of noticed i would have been left maintaining the contents of the folder i copied the files to, the folder which as far as i was informed and so believed was also the location of the music files i was playing. How does Apple justify this 'genius' piece of software non-design? Surely it will hurt no one if this was off by default for new users - overall at least i dare say it would cause a lot less distress in the future for the unsuspecting public at large. Did you look in the Applications folder for Calendar? If it is there, remove the item that is in the Dock and replace it by dragging the Calendar application to the Dock.
If it is not there, did you have iCal located somewhere other than the Applications folder when you upgraded?

For names to appear on the screen of the phone when calls are received, the carrier has to support caller ID, and the caller ID information has to match what is saved in the contact exactly. If this is not working, you will not see the name.

Ever since I downloaded the new version a few days ago I get full screen popup ads whenever I try to open a new site. It's INCREDIBLY annoying, and sometimes there is no icon to close them. WHY, why would Firefox allow this?

I don't HAVE any more details. Whenever I open a new site, I get (so far) one of two full screen advertisements. Most of the time there is the word "Skip" in the upper right hand corner, but on occasion that is not there, and there no way to get beyond the ad screen except to go into what they are trying to sell you. It is imposing and obnoxious to the nth. This has only happened since I downloaded the latest version (I think the BETA 4) 3 days ago. If this can not be resolved, I want to go back to the older version.

The Firefox pop-up blocker is usually very effective for blocking pop-ups generated by websites, but it sounds like you may have picked up some Malware that is generating those pop-ups from you own PC.

Since upgrading to mountain lion I've noticed the full screen icon which used to be on the playback bar in quicktime has gone, I know you can go to the menus to make it full screen but if you're watching something online like with apple trailers I can't seem to make them fullscreen anymore, is it me or have they just taken this option away now?

Strange! It works for me. Here is a link to a screen recording of me wayching a trailer in Safari and later watching a trailer download. In both cases the trailer could be expsnded for full screen viewing and then reduced back to the size of the original 720p player display screen. If you can't do this then you may have a player problem also.

Why did apple make these changes when they worked perfectly the old way, I mean if it ain't broke don't fix it!
Only Apple whould know for sure but my guess would be that other users may have requested the "Share" pop-up more. Makes no difference to me because I normally use the key shortcuts anyway.

My camera on my latest generation IPAD with Retina 128GB is not allowing my camera to flip, away from me. It is a dark screen when I'm trying to take a picture. I've only had it literally 2 days. Any suggestions on solving this.

I suspect it's to do with IOS7 but not everyone is affected, mine was working before. I have read on some forums that Apple have just replaced the iPad as they have not been able to resolve the issue. If yours is new I would take it back and ask to try another with IOS7 installed before swapping.

How do I turn off the tiny Shuffle-sized iPod Nano (v6 with a touch screen) when not using its iOS?

Hello and happy new year.
I decided to use this used iPod Nano (touch screen) as an eight/8 GB flash disk/storage (FAT32). I can access the files just fine. I can always restore it back to use iOS quickly and easily if needed.
However, it never seems to turn off/sleep. I tried holding down the big button on top right (next to the two volume controls [+ and -]), but it never does anything. Also, it says "OK to disconnect." when disconnected.
So, I restored its iOS v1.2 from an old 15" MacBook Pro (2008; Mac OS X 10.5.8) onto it and can turn off easily. However, I cannot access its drive since it is not a MS FS and Windows XP Pro. SP3 asked me to format. How can I turn it off and still use it as an 8 GB USB flash disk/drive without installing and using iTunes?

Hey,
Holding in the play/pause and the menu (select) button will force the iPod into disk mode. This is the stand by mode you are talking about.
To turn your iPod off properly you will want to hold down the play/pause button until the screen goes blank and then turn the hold switch on. This is cause the iPod to go to the Apple screen when it turns back on.
