LCCS account password reset?

Hi,
Our LCCS account password have been resetted between August 5th (last time of successful connection) and September 21st (the day we had the connection fail).
Since then, we have resetted our password using the "Forgot Password" link on the LCCS developer portal (https://portal.collaboration.adobelivecycle.com/) and everything is working fine again. However, we were wondering what was the cause of this password reset. This is our production account so it's very important for us to know the origin of the problem.
I can provide account information if you want to check your logs, but would prefer to do so not on a public forum.
Thank you very much!

Hi,
Please send your account login to [email protected]  We are not aware of any passwords being inadvertently reset, but we can investigate if you send us your login.
Thanks,
Jamie

  • Itunes account password reset. icloud email unavailable...

this is a question for a friend, because obviously, i have an account to ask.
itunes account password reset because her son kept attempting to access account.
to reset password, link goes to email. however, her email was an icloud account. so it used the same log in as the itunes account.
she knows the secret question and answer to access and reset from the non-email password reset method, however, the birthday required to get to that question is inaccessible and does not work (she is a woman, and obviously lies about her age).
I'm thinking the only way around it is to either setup a new itunes account, which would erase the ipad data once that is connected ( i assume that ipads can connect with only a single account), or find some other way to access the secret question. there is no phone number listed for icloud.
the ipad is only backed up to the icloud account. she just bought a computer, so would like to make a physical backup of the ipad. I think it is unadvisable to connect the ipad and the computer, until the icloud account can be accessed.
I'm not very knowledgable of the whole icloud thing. it sounded like a good idea to back up the son's ipad since she didnt have a computer, so i gifted her the icloud account. now, i'm kind of responsible for figuring out the situation. any helpful comments and suggestions would be appreciated.

sneaky, found it sent an email to one of my email accounts as well as the icloud.
    login solved.

  • Account password reset sent but not received by Outlook.

I have requested a password reset, went through the process and had success at Apples end. Email was sent but not received by the Outlook account email I have been using for years. Outlook is still working fine. Nothing in Junk folder and have added the apple email to contacts (from last reset).
    Any ideas?

Contact Apple for assistance resetting the password, either by going to https://expresslane.apple.com, then click More Products and Services>Apple ID>Other Apple ID Topics>Lost or forgotten Apple ID password, or by contacting the Apple account security team: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699.

  • User Account Password Resetting

    Hi All,
I have an issue on one site running 10.4.9 server on an Intel XServe where one individual user account continually has the password reset, meaning that she cannot logon.
Previously on this server I had the issue with the Password Service crashing everytime a user was created which seems to have been fixed with the update of 10.4.9, however this user still continues to be a problem
There seems to be no reason for the account resetting, the server has not been rebooted for it to happen, nothing in the system log shows anything abnormal.
A few weeks back I tried deleting the user account and re-creating her which worked for a few days and then it happened again.
Following the 10.4.9 install I have deleted her account and created her again with a brand new SID and that worked a treat for a week, and then yesterday it happened again.
We are now having to manually reset her password every few days so that she can logon to the system. She is the only user affected and I have disabled the complexity requirements for passwords in the Open Directory Service.
If anyone has any thoughts/ideas on what could be causing this then please let me know.
    Cheers,
    PJR

I know we've got an answer, but I wanted to throw in another permutation I came across. This applies to people running OS X Server in the "magic triangle" configuration, where authentication is handled by something other than OS X Server (eDirectory, in my case.)
I'd try to log in to an account and the login window would shake at me. Go in to workgroup manager, reset the password, try again and it works. However the next time I try to log in I'll get the same error.
This puzzled me for a minute, but it was the regularity of the behavior that tipped me off. The problem is simply that the user's password has expired, and the message doesn't make it through to the Macs. Maybe it does with Active Directory (anyone?) and maybe there's an LDAP binding to make it work with eDirectory (anyone again?) Likewise, maybe there's a binding that will let eDirectory know that WGM changed the password. In any case, that was the problem and the solution was simply to change my password using the Novell client on a Windows box.
There, maybe that'll help someone out in a very specific situation...

  • ICloud account password reset problems

    Hello!
I registered an iCloud account for my iPad mini. My username is [email protected]
The problem is I forgot the password. I asked for a password reset at iforgot.apple.com.
I checked all of my e-mail accounts when I figured out the email adress for my iCloud account is the [email protected] As I told I don't know my password so I can't sign in to my iCloud email to reset the password.
Please help me, because I restored my iPad and I can't activate it without sing in to iCloud.
    Thanks,
    oliverus

Did you set security questions? If yes, this might help you get in.
Another place to look is in Keychain Access and in your Browser settings.
    Open Keychain Access in Applications/Utilities.
Select Login keychain in the top right.
You can enter iCloud in the top search box but you can also scroll through the list looking for the entry.
If you see the blue circle with @, select. Double click to open
You'll see the actual account listed so you'll know if it's the correct one.
Check the box to show password.
Enter your Login password for your User.
    You'll see the password.
You might need to check several entries.
In Safari, go to Preferences > Passwords.
    Check box to Show passwords.
    Select the icloud.com site
Click on the password to view after entering your Login password for User.
If you used FireFox or Chrome, you would need to look in their preferences for the password.
TIP: When you can get in, add multiple recovery emails to the account. Write down your password and recovery emails and keep in a safe place. I recommend 1Password  http://agilewebsolutions.com/products/1Password
I use a lot of fake answers and it's hard to remember so I keep these in secure notes in 1Password.
Tip: when Yosemite is released you might see 1Password on sale. It's not cheap but worth every penny.

  • Email Account Password Reset

Short of changing a site's main email contact, how can I reset a user's Email Account password, and have the 'forgot password' message sent to an external email address?

When you're creating accounts you can supply the password recovery email for this situation. If you haven't entered that email and you're stuck please reach out to support and they will help you.

  • AUR account password reset

  • Account password reset too often

I have a strange situation here.
Every one week I'm receiving an e-mail notification that my Apple ID has been reset and I'm 100% sure that nobody except me is using my ID. It might be ridiculous but I suspect that someone is trying to hack my password.
Is there any chance to check who or what is forcing me to change my password every week?
Please help. I'm running out of ideas for the new passwords .

If you are receiving e-mail messages that indicate that someone is trying to reset your Apple ID password, they may be phishing scams. Do not click any links in those e-mail messages, and if you make the mistake of doing so, do not provide your current Apple ID password on the page you are directed to.
Unfortunately, in this case, there's nothing to be done except treat those messages the same way you would any other spam.
The other possibility is that someone is actually trying to reset your Apple ID password. This may be due to a malicious attack, but more likely, it's just someone who thinks your Apple ID is actually theirs (due to a typo, faulty memory or something similar) and is trying to "regain" access. In any case, this is merely an annoyance, but you can put an end to it by enabling two-factor authentication on your Apple ID. This will require an additional piece of information that only you will possess in order to even start the password reset process.
If you are actually seeing your password getting changed, and are having to reset it yourself to regain access, you are being hacked. This could be because your password is not strong enough to withstand a brute-force attack by a botnet. It could also be because the attacker already has access to your e-mail address, and is able to intercept the reset e-mail and complete the reset process. Because of that danger, you should change the password for the e-mail account associated with your Apple ID. You should also change the password for your Apple ID, making sure that it is a strong password, and enable two-factor authentication as mentioned above.

  • Windows 2008 R2 Domain Controller, Tracking of helpdesk staff invloved in unlock account, password reset

    Dear All,
We recently gave permissions to group of level 1 staff to unlock OR reset password of users. In case user calls and report his account is locked OR if his password expires.
I want to track by auditing just in case something goes wrong, I can check in auditing. I have created a new GPO and select success/failure for Computer Config > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Audit Policy "Audi
    Account Management"
applied it on domain top level and I did not changed settings of 'default Domain Policy' which is also linked on top level of domain.
But after applying this I am unable to see any event 4724 of password re-set when I attempted to test this GPO. What else is required to be done in order to trace users in group 'level1' if they change any body password.
    Please assist.
    thank you

    Hello,
Total two DC's in our environment. But now I figured out and it is working now. It was supposed to set in Advanced audit policy > User account management, I enabled it for success and failure and my newly created GPO is applied on domian top in addition
    to default domain policy.
I am able to see unlock events, password change events in my security log. So, it is working.
    Thank you,
    Wajeeh

Try it again and keep checking your email, it also depends on how fast your Internet is because, I used to have a really slow Internet connection thing and it would take hours or even a day!! If you have another apple product like phone, or iPod see if you can go on there and try it. I'm not that advanced with this stuff but it works for me!

  • Password reset: nightmare

I accidentaly logged out of my Skype account and had to go through the password reset process.  Not exacltly sure what happened by I seem to have ended up with a Microsoft account I don't partiularly want but still no Skype access.  I tried the reset several more times, each time getting a Mcrosoft account reset code which the Skype reset would not accept as valid.  Now I've apparently exceeded the number of resets I'm allowed in 24 hours: what a farce.
    Peter

Right I've tried again after my 24 hour lock-out and I'm following through the instructions from this page https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA109/i-ve-forgotten-my-username-and-or-password and he "Skype Account" section.
Where it goes wrong is that I don't get the email shown, I get a different one that's linked to the Microsoft account.

Please use this code to reset the password for the Microsoft account XXXX
    Here is your code: NNN
If you didn't request this security code, you can safely ignore this email. It's possible that another user entered your email address by mistake when trying to reset their own password.

  • Password reset/recovery problem? Check here

    Hello everyone,
we have seen some reports about difficulties in receiving Skype account password reset tokens on time or at all. The emails are being sent by the Skype system, but are prevented from reaching our users somewhere along the way. We are aware of this issue and are actively looking into a speedy resolution.
In the mean time, to receive the email for receiving your password, what you should do is manually add the [email protected] address to the list of approved senders of your web mail provider.
If you have received the email, but with significant delay, try adding the skype address you received the email from to your address book.
    Gmail instructions
    Yahoo instructions
    Hotmail / Outlook / Live
Also check out  this useful article which gives a well-rounded albeit technical explanation on why emails might arrive late.
Should you still face problems receiving the password recovery/reset email after making above change please start a new topic here on the discussion board. Tell us what your email provider is and which country you are located in.
