LDAP attribute multu value
Hi,
Our UME data source is from the LDAP.
In the LDAP there is "telephone" atrribute and it is a multi values attribute .
When I m using UME API to get the value of this attribute, I always get only one value.
How can I get all the telephone values ?
Regards
F.F
Hi.
Instead of getTelephone method (I suppose you mean [it|http://help.sap.com/javadocs/NW04S/current/se/com/sap/security/api/IUser.html#getTelephone%28%29]), which gets the user's default telephone number, you need to use the generic getAttribute method (refer to [JavaDocs|http://help.sap.com/javadocs/NW04S/current/se/com/sap/security/api/IPrincipal.html#getAttribute%28java.lang.String,%20java.lang.String%29]).

ISE 1.1.1. and additional LDAP attribute retrieval
Hello All,
I'm authenticating users against Active Directory and want to also check additionals attributes from LDAP. In ACS 5.3. it was possible to set this up via External Identity Sequence, but in ISE I don't see this possibility. I can set sequence only for authentication, but not for additional attribute retrieval.
When I set a condition in a policy that an LDAP attribute must match with some value, the attribute is not retrieved and autorization ends on default Deny Access.
Can anyone help me how this can be set on ISE?
Thanks!
Regards
Karel NavratilYes that's what I've tried as I wrote in my first post, but the ISE does not retrieve the attribute from LDAP

Inconsistent Behavior : error code 20 - attribute or value exists
We are getting "error code 20 - attribute or value exists" randomly when we try to create a new user in the LDAP system. This error is thrown so randomly that it is really driving us crazy. With same values for all other mandatory fields and with just a different userId, this error is thrown for some cases and not for others. The entry is also NOT getting created in LDAP. We are able to create the same entry directly at the LDAP through jXxplorer.

Is is a bug in rt.jar? We are using JRE1.6.45. Is there anyway we can increase the logging at the rt.jar?
Is there anyway we can bypass this error?
Your help is highly appreciated.I found out the reason already. The schema was not configured properly :)

Hi Friends,
Is it possible to read an LDAP attribute of a logged user from WD application running in portal? How and where to see all the available attributes in LDAP?
Thanks in advance
Nathan.Hi Nathan,
Right now i am also working on using attribute value of LDAP users in webdynpro application. You need to work on UME API.which is availabel on SDN.
you will get the values in webdynpro application through these API.

Windows LDAP attributes match for the Synology LDAP client profile filter.
I am having Windows server 2012 domain controller with LDAP enabled. I wish to enable LDAP client on Synology Diskstation to search for users and enable them access of shared folders of Synology. Hence, I have enabled the client which shows connected to the Windows LDAP service, but not populating any users.
Anybody figured out this? It requires profile settings. I'm finding difficult to identify the LDAP attributes match for the Synology profile filter attributes.
Refer following image.
This topic first appeared in the Spiceworks CommunitySpecify a Dynamic Access Profile with:
Criteria: User has ALL of the following AAA attribute values...
ldap.memberOf != GroupName
cisco.tunnelgroup = TunnelGruopName
Should work

Access LDAP attribute from Webmail
Hi there,
We need to do some customizations on webmail.
One of the things we want to do is to be able to read and write an ldap attribute outside the multivalue attribute NSWMEXTENDEDUSERPREFS.
I've seen on "Webmail Express Customization Guide" that we can load on http startup other external attributes using a command like:
configutil -l -o service.http.extrauserldapattrs -v myattribute:w
on which the :w at the end means that webmail could have write access to the attribute. (Pag 71 of W.E.C. Guide)
I've done that, but the problem is that if I try to write a new value on the attribute, the value is created on the NSWMEXTENDEDUSERPREFS as myattribute=value
So .. It reads from one side but write to another! Any ideas how to write on the myattribute directly from webmail interface?!
Thanks,
Sergio SousaHi,
have you allready tryed to read the attribute directly from the BOL in the implementation class of the view, without creating any new context node? Maybe this coding might help you:
DATA: lr_entity TYPE REF TO cl_crm_bol_entity,
DATA: lv_collection TYPE REF TO if_bol_bo_col.
DATA: lv_cat type string.
lr_entity ?= me->typed_context->BTAdminH->collection_wrapper->get_current( ).
TRY.
lv_collection = lr_entity->get_related_entities( iv_relation_name = 'BTHeaderActivityExt' ).
CATCH cx_sy_ref_is_initial.
ENDTRY.
lr_entity ?= lv_collection->get_current( ).
CALL METHOD lr_entity->if_bol_bo_property_access~get_property_as_string
EXPORTING
iv_attr_name = 'CATEGORY'
RECEIVING
rv_result = lv_cat.

Provision user to a resource when a LDAP attribute is set to true by active
HI,
I have the following requirement
When a particular attribute in LDAP is set to true then we have to pick it by the active sync process and provision the user in another resource.
Can any one let me know how to go about this.I'd do it like this:
Create a business role "SomeRole" that includes an IT-Role that includes the target resource.
In the activeSync form, assign this role depending on the LDAP attribute:
<Field name='waveset.roles'>
<Expansion>
<cond>
<eq>
<ref>accounts[LDAP].thisParticularAttribute</ref>
<s>true</s>
</eq>
<s>SomeRole</s> <!-- you will need to append the role to the list if the user already has roles, otherwise all roles will be overwritten by this single value -->
<ref>waveset.roles</ref>
</cond>
</Expansion>
</Field> -
How to associate LDAP attributes with the subject?
I am writing a custom role mapper and want to determine the roles of the subject
depending on values of LDAP attributes. Is it posssible to associate LDAP attributes
with the Subject?
We use iPlanet and hence I have configured iPlanetAuthenticator as the Authentication
Provider. Is it possible to configure iPlanetAuthenticator so that the LDAP attribute
values are associated with the subject? Or is it possible to extend iPlanetAuthenticator
for this purpose?
Is there a way to do this other than writing my own AuthenticationProvider?
Thanks in advance.

Which LDAP attributes are you interested in? We can look at adding this
functionality
if we have more info.

You may be able to write a separate provider that works in conjunction with
the
authentication provider. It would add the principals with the ldap
attributes.

LDAP Attribute for POP3 access
Dear folks,
In SUN JES subscriber LDAP information, is there any LDAP subscriber LDAP attribute that indicates the subscriber having access to POP3?
If there is, what kind/type of value can it be ?
Thanks,
T DangHi,
For future reference, please always provide the version of messaging server you are using. (./imsimta version)
With regards to your question, POP access is provided unless it is denied (assuming that POP daemon is enabled). Is there a user who is being denied and you are trying to work out why?
The LDAP attribute which restricts access to POP/IMAP/HTTP access of the store is mailallowedserviceaccess

VMM 2012R2 UR4 - Version 3.2.7768.0
Not sure when this started happening since I haven't had to update or create a new RunAs account in VMM in some time, but every time I do, either through the console or through PowerShell it throws an error about The specified directory service attribute
or value does not exist. The VMM Service account is the same as it always has been, and other than this issue everything with VMM is working fine. The full text of the error message is below.
I am hoping someone has some ideas because I don't have any more at this point.

Not able to import Attribute Text Values in Taxonomy table
Hi Experts,
I have an excel file with 54K records of Attribute text values need to import in to taxonomy table. my excel file has 3 fields like ID, Name, Text Values. While mapping the fields in feild mapping grid, I have mapped ID field with Attribute Alias, Name with Attribute name, Text Value with Text Value and clone field of Text Value with [Text Value Remote Key]. Based on the field mapping I was trying to map values for ID filed with Attribute Alias field. Here I found Attribute Alias field has values in destination grid which were imported before for Attribute Name ID's in to the Alias field for attribute names.
Here I found these values are different when I tried to map these values and the Value map buttons(Automap/Map/Add) were disabled.
in the same way I tried with out maping the values for Attribute value id and selected the Attribute Alias field as value mapping field. but here in the import actions tab the records are active and disabled the import action option.
so I have executed the import process, but no attribute text values were imported in to Taxonomy table.
I am using the MDM 7.1 with build version 7.1.01.46.
Please let me know if anyone came across this situation.
Thanks,

Inbound mail routing based on LDAP attribute mailsystem
Hi gents and ladies,
i have a small question ...
is it possible to route an email to a recipient based on an LDAP attribute like mailsystem or ldap attribute domain ?
We have an infrastructure with domino and Xchange. All users have a - so called - maindomain.net SMTP Address.
Is it possible to manage such routing via mail policies or message filters ?
Or is it just easy to realize this jjust with SMTP routing list ? e.g. maindomain.net gets an entry in SMTP routing pointing to the domino gateway ... if no delivery is possible the default gateway (Xchange gateway) would be used instead ?
Thanks in advance for your help and hints.Hello HPGroh2013,
I think I answered your question in the previous entry, at least it looks the same to me.

Category attributes default values updating
Hi,
I'm developing an application that, upon upload of a file to the specified root folder(through the application), reads some values from a file, creates a folder structure based on those values, and moves the file in the bottom folder. Now, a predefined category should be attached to the file, to enable search by category attributes. My idea is to set the category as required on that bottom folder (or the first), and modify it's attribute default values, so that the file inherits them when moved in it. I have found mshannon's examples in some other thread ( Updating a document with category metadata using updateDocument(): error! ), the first one works only with files, not folders, and the second one doesn't work for me at all, I get an error:
javax.faces.el.EvaluationException: ORACLE.FDK.AggregateError:ORACLE.FDK.AggregateError
here is my code:
public static void updateAttributes() throws FdkException, RemoteException{
login();
FileManager fm = s_WsCon.getFileManager();
Item fajl = fm.resolvePath(prop.getProperty("userhome") + "/root folder/folder1/readme1.txt",
null);
long docID = fajl.getId();
NamedValue[] catInstAtr = new NamedValue[] {
new NamedValue("CUSTOM_138297", "changed value for att1"),
new NamedValue("CUSTOM_138299", "changed value for att2")
NamedValue[] catDef = new NamedValue[] {
new NamedValue(Options.UPDATE_CATEGORY_ID,new Long(139054)),
new NamedValue(Options.CATEGORY_DEFINITION_ATTRIBUTES, catInstAtr)
NamedValue[] docDef = new NamedValue[] {
new NamedValue(Options.CATEGORY_DEFINITION, catDef)
AttributeRequest[] reqAtr = new AttributeRequest[]{
new AttributeRequest(Attributes.DESCRIPTION, null)
fajl = fm.updateDocument(docID, docDef, reqAtr);
logut();
This example is (I think) only for updating on document level, but I could use a solution for folder-level updating, as I explained before. Can anyone help me?
Thanks,
PedjaPedja,
Here is my code to get category from Folder this is updated version from sample code TestCategory2.java
1. It will get the required category of a folder.
2. gets the internal category attribute names
3. get Category id if uploading file along with category attribute values OR
updating file and also updating previous category instance values..

Setting custom table attribute set value in region item table
Dear all
I am working on oracle application customization and extension in
oracle JDeveloper R12. I am finding a difficulty in an query region of
a OA framework page
My Entity object is on the table FWK_TBX_ADDRESS table
and VO objects has the fields or columns
AddressName, AddreessId, TownC-OrCity
what I am doing shown in the following steps
1-I select region using wizard option
2-select my AM and VO
3-select table as style
4-shuttle all attributes associated with VO
5-in region items table , select the Attribute set field for AddressName attribute and click the serach flashligh icon
6-After that select the browse button , using the package browser , expand down to oracle > apps > fnd> framwork > toolbox > attributesets, then oK
7-select the serach control , and then it list all the attributes set related to fwkTbxEmployees table like the following
/oracle/apps/fnd/framewok/toolbox/attributesset/FwkTbxAddress/AddressName
Now the problem which I am facing now is that if I have custom table suppose "xxEmployees" and have attributes or column
for example employeeId, employee_name, email etc. what would I do to search these attributes when I come to step number 6 which
I mentioned above. from where in which package I can find these attributes to set attributesset value. in above i find these attributes
in /oracle/apps/fnd/framewok/toolbox/attributesset/FwkTbxAddress/AddressName
but in my case for attribute lie employeeId or employee_name from where I can get this how can I set the value of attribute set field in regin item
table in step 5
NomanI dont know what u trying to ask
My problem is just that I want to set the attribute set value of my attribute employee_name, same is AddressId in fwk_tbx_address
ame is AddressId in fwk_tbx_address found on
/oracle/apps/fnd/framewok/toolbox/attributesset/FwkTbxAddress/AddressName
where can I find my attribute employee_name

Problem with getting LDAP attributes on ISE when EAPChaining is enabled
Hi All,
has anybody and idea how to set LDAP attributes retrieval with EAPChaining enabled?
My scenarios is:
- user with AnyConnect (EAP-FAST) connects to WLAN and sends it's credentials
- ISE authenticates username and password against Active Directory
- ISE should check if the same userid contains in LDAP Directory (not AD, different store) special attribute which controls access to our WLAN
- If the attribute is found, then authorization profile is matched.
This works when I disable EAP-Chaining Policy -> Policy Elements -> Results -> Authentication -> Allowed Protocols ...
In logs I've found that the user was not found in LDAP, but the user exists.
Maybe the workaround can be if just user from EAPChaining is used and not also the hostname, then it could match. But I cannot find any similar parameter which returns only user.
Does anybody have an idea how to solve this?
Thanks!
K.Hi,
This seems like a corner issue, because eap-fast with ldap is not supported. LDAP as the protocol doest support hash based authentication hence the reason ISE is failing to hit the ldap database.
Referencing acs material since ise docs are not complete:
