LED notification stops by screen lock time out

I found some problem about LED notification. It stops by screen lock time out. My test procedure :- - Screen off by push the top button - Send test e-mail from laptop to my Q10, LED notification will flashing while now is black screen - Call in by another phone then screen will shown at the wall paper - Then after "screen lock time out", screen become dark and now LED flashing will stop So, I can not know the e-mail come in if I leave my phone for a while. Please help

I don't have a PIN lock set up, but still LED notifications for missed calls don't work on my Pre (GSM, o2 Germany), not even after waking up the screen. At least if I only have one missed call. Strangely enough, as soon as I have a second missed call, the LED starts to blink.
My guess is it has to do with the way the phone notifies about missed calls. With only one missed call I don't see a normal notification at the bottom of the screen, but a question dialog with two buttons "call back" and "close". Maybe the phone doesn't treat this as a real notification which would trigger the LED.
As soon as a second call comes in and is not answered, the first missed call notification becomes a real one-line notification at the bottom and the second call gets this question dialog, so maybe this is what triggers the LED notification. But I'm just guessing.
Anyway, this is really annoying. I can't understand why things like these are not found and fixed during testing of the update, this is pretty basic stuff, not any extraordinary user behavior.

Hope somebody out there can help! I have to manually lock my phone as the screen/keylock time-out which i have set for 1 minute does not work. As a result of this i have to charge my phone every day as the light stays on and quickly drains the battery. This has'nt always been the case, just the last 2 months. Thank you

Have you tried option to re-install exisiting device software within Nokia Suite > Tools > Software updates? Then try device without restoring any "Settings" in case corrupted.

Lock Time Out Error

Hi,
When I run the 'Insert Update Delete' example from the Tutorial, the update and delete work fine, but the moment I try to do an Insert, I get the following error:
SQL Exception: Lock Time Out, Please Try laterHas anybody else had this problem? i'm running the example with the Pintbase database shipped with JSC.

I had the same problem when I try to run the application. Went away after restarting the pointbase. Try to stop and start the pointbase.

Ipod Touch Screen wont time out?

So about two days ago I noticed that my ipod's screen wont time out and turn off, if I for example decide to manually change a song rather then skip it from my headphones, it stays on, so i have to manually turn of the screen while I'm playing music..I don't know why I haven't changed any settings or droped it nor has any water gone in it. Is this normal? I mean its not too much of a problem but since I do use it most of the day at work it makes my battery run out much faster. Any help is much appreciated.

It might be one of two things.
I know you said you didn't change any thing but,
Check under settings, general, and autolock it might be on 'Never' change that
Or i might be misunderstanding.
You might be use a stereo base and i don't know but if you are, the ipod, if on the 'Now Playing' page is up, will not go to sleep automatically

Hi Priya,
There are a few reasons this kind of error can occur - typically it's because a rowset didn't get closed for some reason. If you're using pointbase, this can happen pretty easily because the number of connections that are supported is very low etc. Check your server.log file to see if there is any additional information - the error stack presented in the browser sometimes doesn't hold all the information. It's difficult to diagnose with just the information you have provided here. I can't tell if it's a table that's locked or the entire db.
If this problem is occuring in Pointbase during your development, the way to clean it up is to restart pointbase and the appserver.
A few scenarios where this problem can occur (yours might be the first one):
1) could be an issue w/inserts... we are thinking we might want to revise the tutorial here... instead of :

rowset.updateObject("FOO", new Integer(0));
rowset.updateObject("ID", getNextId());try instead constructing the insert manually, something like:

2) An exception is thrown in your application and therefore it is skipping the afterRenderResponse method which contains the close statement
Solution: Avoid throwing exceptions - and if you must throw an exception, make sure to close the rowset before throwing.
3) If you put a rowset in the session or application bean, you might be holding a lock on the table somewhere
Solution: Avoid putting rowsets in Session and application beans - if you must access the database in those beans, close the rowsets as soon as possible - ideally don't just leave them open. If you must hold them open for extended periods of time. be aware that your pages may not be able to access those tables via direct binding.

Bluetooth stops when screen locks (ios5)?

since i've updated to the new ios5 i have been having this problems with playing music over bluetooth.
I've been using bluetooth some time to play music in my car through sony car radio. But since i've updated the ios it does not work. It stops when the screen locks. If i unlock the screen i can hear the music for 3-5sec and then it stops again. I see the timer on the iphone goes on and it is still playing the music but the sound is gone.
I have reseted the idevice and forgot the bluetooth device and add it again and restarted the radio but no luck.
I realy dont want to set up as new iphone.
Any idea what to do? Am i the only one having this problems?

It won't be the bluetooth, it is iOS5.
The new music player stops playing music if it is in the foreground and the screen blanks out.
If the music player is in the background, it will keep on playing.
You can try selecting a play list then clicking the home screen before the screen blanks out to see if this fixes the problem.
Still, bit of an oversight from apple, hopefully fixed in iOS5.1 very soon.

My iPhone goes through most of the steps to synch with iTunes and then stops. iTunse eventually times out on the synch. How do I fix this ?

When I try to synch my iPhone 4 with iTunes - both at the latest code levels - the synch goes normally until the last stage where I get the message Finishing sync. It nevers completes. Eventually it times out and states that the iPhone is not responding. On the phone the sync icon has gone away so the iPhone thinks that it is done.

More information. During the synch process this last time it moved through the first 5 steps fine. At some point during the "Waiting for items to copy" the iPhone stopped showing the sync icon.

Notifications and passcode screen lock problem

when I use passcode to lock my iPhone. everytimes Notification come to my lock, when I slide it, it will show screen to input passcode to use the iPhone. it's work with messages and any apps, except "miss call" when I slide notification, it automatic to call someone who i miss called, and the important is it not show passcode screen to input the code. it's just calling without input passcode. what should i do? any setting I need to change? or it's Bug of iOS 5.

Connect iPod to the computer you normally use it with (the first one that the iPod synced with) and open iTunes. Then disconnect the iPod from the computer and it should no longer be locked.
If not, you'll have to restore the iPod.

Recording Stops on Screen Lock

Hi guys,
since upgrading to Mac OSX Yosemite (I have creative cloud account and latest audition cc 2014), if the screen locks from inattention, recording stops. Levels still show but I have to hit record again so I'm loosing recordings if I don't keep the screen active.
Anyone experience this?

It may have happened after Yosemite. I can't be 100% sure but I would guess that is right, never happened from 2010-summer of 2014 so yea. It stops recording when:
2. When OS X requires a password to return to your desktop/applications (System Prefs > Security & Privacy > General > Require password...)
3. When the display itself goes into sleep mode (System Prefs > Energy Saver > Computer Sleep and Display Sleep)
OR
When you switch app to say Chrome. After a few minutes, if you jump back to Audition, its not recording, you have to hit record again but you may have lost x amount of minutes unknowingly. So it doesn't have to be just when the display sleeps or screen password appears.

Blank screen and time out message when connecting to EC2 via Putty

successfully installed SP 09 trial version on EC2. when trying to connect to the instance via Putty following all the proper steps in the Guide, after upload of PPK file, all I get is a black screen with "the session time out" message in 10-15 sec.
HELP !!!!!- researched everything, trying using elastic fox to ovoid conversion of pem file into ppk . same story there.

Yesterday, I went to the store and bought the exact same cable I used at my friend's place. And voilá, it works perfectly with my monitor. Nontheless, i am still concerned. Although the image and sound are both perfect at the moment, it doesn't seem right that my computer should only work with 1 out of 4 cables. I'm pretty sure something is wrong there.
And yes, I did check the HDMI port for damage. If something is wrong with it, I cant see it. Also, if the port is damaged, I don't understand why it would work perfectly with one of the cables.

Pinching screen to reduce and see full screen every time out of holster

Hi,
Since I installed the latest OS update, now every time I take my phone out of its holster, the fonts are larger than usual and I have to pinch the screen to reduce it to normal size and see all the screen like before.
I have tried going into settings and setting font size to 8 and it works but as soon as the phone locks itself and I open it again it goes back to that larger zoomed in screen that I have to pinch to zoom out and back to normal.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?

for some reason by default the zoom has been activated on everyones phone.
go to > settings > accessibility > turn off screen reader BETA > job done.

K900 clock screensaver - screen lock time display

Hi guys
Can't figure out how to get the time display or a clock as a screen saver or when the screen is locked. I have enabled the screensaver for when it is charging but that obviously only works while it is charging!
Any Ideas?

Nokia n8 screen / keylock time-out interrupts inco...

When I receive a call on my N8 the screen turns off and the handset automatically keylocks. I have to use the slider to unlock it to take the call. Similarly if I make a call on the N8 as soon as it connects with the called number the screen turns off and the handset automatically keylocks. Again I have to operate the slider to unlock it and continue with my call. Anyone know why it's doing this and what I can do to make it operate noramally again? I don't want to use the 'restore' function because that can cause loss of some settings. Should be grateful for any hbelp please. Thanks. Tony

Bought my N8 a month back
1) 1st day I have faced problem in deleting pictures in photo album (deleted pictures still appears as broken photo symbols), and also image errors in facebook photos. I visited service centre they reinstalled software problem still remained. Service technician said it should be some setting issue, will check with nokia expert and call back, but never called.
2) Second, during software update using PC, it hanged and never restarted. Returned to Service centre. They have given back my phone yesterday it seems they changed new motherbaord with new IMEI number.
3) Today again I started using thinking it should be fine, but now I am facing same blank screen problem when making / receiving calls and alarm (note this problem was not there earlier to repair). I just called Nokia service it seems they have not come across this problem before with anyone, they asked me to bring it to them to check.
