Lenovo B520 sends only audio, not video to tv

Hello. I want to play what's on my B520 on my TV. However, only audio is sent out but no video and whatever desktop image (desktop background image, not programs or anything else). I can hear the audio from my computer on the TV. I can also see whatever image I have set as my desktop image (behind all the icons). But I can't even see my desktop icons and if I'm playing some video or something my TV plays the sound portion but just shows my desktop background image with no video being sent other than that. Can somebody please tell me what I'm doing wrong? I have a JVC TV but it's showing the desktop image so something is being sent from B520 so I don't think the problem is with the TV. Please help.

it sound like you have extended your desktop not cloned it press and hold windows key then tap P to cycle through the options, duplicate or second screen is the option you are after

    Hello - it is actually a combination of HD & SD to standard mini DV... But I actually put it in another sequence, and it all seemed to work!

  • Videos playing only audio, not video

    i recently added a bunch of ripped videos to my iphone (MPEG-4 video). when i try to play them, iphone transitions to landscape mode as if it were going to display the video, but it only plays sound. the screen remains black. videos purchased from itunes in the same format play fine, other MPEG-4s don't. any thoughts as to why only the audio is playing and not the video as well? thanks.

    MPEG-4 has several possible encoding options. If you open the video in Quicktime, and choose Window -> Show Movie Info, it will list the encoding options.
    You may want to verify the videos are not MUXed, and they have the appropriate video encoding. This tutorial gives the steps for converting videos with Quicktime:

    Just saw your thread, and it looked like a candidate for the Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA GeForce Roll Back the Driver issue. If your computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card/graphics card, then the following applies to you. You do not want to update the driver. Rather you want to roll back the driver version, probably to about May 2013. For your convenience I have done a copy/paste of the forum announcement which gives all the details and fix of the matter.
    Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA Video Card Driver Roll Back
    If you are a Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card and you are experiencing Premiere Elements 10 display and/or unexplained program behavior, then your first line of troubleshooting needs to be rolling back the video card driver version instead of assuring that it is up to date.
    Since October 2013 to the present, there have been a growing number of reports about display and unexplained workflow glitches specific to the Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer has a NVIDIA GeForce video card. If this applies to you, then the “user to user” remedy is to roll back the NVIDIA GeForce video card driver as far as is necessary to get rid of the problems. The typical driver roll back has gone back as far as March – July 2013 in order to get a working Premiere Elements 10. Neither NVIDIA nor Adobe has taken any corrective action in this regard to date, and none is expected moving forward.

  • Problem with TV out, only audio, no video

    I has just bought a new ipod video 30GB and I also bought a A/V cable
    of apple. But when I connect to my television. Only hear audio from
    television but no video.
    I tried a lot of ways as folows:
    + video setting : changed TV out --> ON
    + I tried restone ipod to factory condition
    + I tried to change the position of 3 connectors (Yellow,Red, Whitle)
    of A/V cable (according to standard, Yellow is video connector).
    + I tried some tips from Discussion Techniques from Apple Forum
    But I still can't see video, just hear audio from Television.
    What's problem?
    I think Ipod only send the audio signal, not video signal.
    Can you help me to solve this problem?

    As well I had the same problem with my i-pod and the one of my wife. The solution was simple:
    config: i-pod 60Gb; i-pod 30Gb
    cable: no name audio/video A/V cable
    TV-out: select ask (not on!!!)
    cable into TV: white on white
    yellow on red
    red on yellow
    There are no problems with bad video quality if volume is high, just working fine
    What may be the problem: I think, the automatic detect (if you put your setting for TV-out on your i-pod to on) is not working. As well as using only headphones there must be an electronic cirquit detection; means with no Apple stuff just not working. As well there are the yellow and red cable changed; means white and yellow have audio; red video.
    Working so for video and diashow on my pod each time I´ve to select TV-Out manually starting video or Dia Show. In that moment both applications are starting in small windows, not in Full Screen mode on the pod.
    The order to connect TV or i-pod doesn´t matter; it´s just the manual setting the i-pod for TV-out.

  • Lose audio - not video - during FaceTime

    My i7 MBP loses all audio after several minutes of a FT conversation.  I still get distant end audio and video but distant end gets video only - the mute button has NOT been activated.  Any clues to help me????

  • Capturing only audio, no video beyond first frame

    When I log and capture it looks okay until I move clips to timeline. Then I only have audio and the first frame. I've cleared the settings and preferences each time. Still happens. What is going on? (The capture audio only is NOT on).

    Is it only a single frame of video in the viewer window ie if you double click the clip in the bin is it the same frame through the entire clip, or is it that only 1 frame displays when you drop the clip in the timeline? if it's the latter check your view>external video settings to make sure they conform to your sequence settings.

    i go to play my videos one day (today) and all i get is the audio from that video, it looks as if its playing a song, it has the artwork, title etc not video i thought it was jsut my purchased tv shows but its all my stuff even the videos i converted from finalcut, i dont get any video.... just the audio? whats up?

    what video are you trying to stream via airplay?
    currently only video from youtube app or ipod app is supported.
    any other app will only stream the audio.

  • Is Email Send ONLY and NOT Receive Possible?

    I know that mail uses both Pop and SMTP servers to recieve and send, respectively, email. Is it possible to set up the SEND only portion of an email account on an iPhone so that the user doesn't need to manage incoming junk email but can still send OUT email messages when needed? Do I just leave the Pop server info out???

    You could also set up your desktop mail program to delete the mails as soon as you downloaded them to your computer and the phone to never delete after downloading.
    The last time I had to set up my account again, I choose the wrong identification in the advanced menu and never received mail, although there was mail waiting on the server to be delivered. I did not notice at first, because there was no error popup. Maybe this also works with your provider.

  • Import files has only imported audio, not video

    I used FCP7 to capture some footage from DV PAL.
    I then went to FCPX, chose "Import Files" and selected the 2 clips I had captured. I chose to copy into the FCPX events library. FCPX only imported the audio, and not the video.
    This is the movie info:
    DV, 720 x 576 (768 x 576), Millions
    16-bit Integer (Little Endian), Mono, 48.000 kHz
    16-bit Integer (Little Endian), Mono, 48.000 kHz
    Is this a bug?

    Welcome to Adobe Forums.
    Is it happening with a specific .mov file or with all the .mov files.
    Right click on the video and choose new sequence from clip, then check if the issue persists.
    Also please mention are you using Windows or Mac and the version of Premiere Pro.
