Why is the Fios mobile app not available in the App Store?

Sorry to say but they have. And even advertised it on their home page as recently as today. You can view about 70 different channels on your iPhone or iPad. Anyone else out there who knows the answer?

Where are the android based mobile apps? Why do you people assume everyone uses a ipad or iphone
    I want android mobile apps!

this didn't actually answer my question. The feature request link you sent me to didn't have the mobile apps for creative cloud listed Adobe Idea, Adobe Sketch and Ink and Slide they aren't available for android tablets and Android Phones. These aren't even available for Windows tablets. But they aren't available in the feature request section either.

  • My Server 2012 R2 Windows Phone App now available!

    Hi, All,
Greetings!  I am very pleased to announce that the My Server 2012 R2 Windows Phone App
    has been published to
Windows Phone Store. This version is targeted to work with the new released Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials and the Windows Server Essentials Experience server role in Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard & Datacenter. To
try out the new version, search ‘My Server 2012 R2’ from your windows phone and install it. Let team know if you have any feedback on this app.
    Thanks,
    Windows Server Essentials Team

Great option guys! Now I can REALLY centralize my media without reliance on third party products.
For Phone App, it's great to have it but it seems to be lacking in UX. i.e. there is no option to start slideshow or even go from one photo to next in the list. It's very inconvenient to go from one photo to next by backing out to the list and clicking on
    next photo.
Another feature I would love to have is integration on Photo/Video/Music hub. That way I don't have to explicitly launch app to access my music/photo/videos.
Keep up good work and I hope to see much more functionality and tighter integration in future updates.

  • Mobile version now available via WidSets

    Hi all,
I am happy to tell you that we recently joined forces with the Nokia WidSets team to create a "widget" for Nokia Support Discussions.
With WidSets, you can get your favorite web content straight to your mobile device. WidSets works on over 300 phone models from all manufacturers. Using WidSets is free of charge apart from any data traffic charges by your operator.
The Discussions widget is basically a light, mobile version of Nokia Support Discussions. Although the boards work pretty well with device browsers, the pages can be quite heavy to load and there's a lot of data traffic. The widget only downloads the texts, making the experience very fast and user-friendly on most mobile devices.
The new widget lets you search and read messages posted by Nokia users on this global discussion board, which is available via several Nokia websites around the world. There are almost 250 000 posts in 40 000 different topics, so you won't run out of things to read.
Note that you won't be able to login or make posts, but you can search and read all posts.
The widget was created by utilizing the board software's API interface. This enabled us to create an elaborate and feature-rich widget that aligns very nicely with the online version of the service.
If you haven't yet discovered the fascinating world of WidSets, you can start by visiting
    www.widsets.com
If you already have installed WidSets, just add the Nokia Support Discussions widget from
    http://www.widsets.com/widget/227607834
I wrote all my posts from 2005-2011 as an "Admin" for this community. I still work for Nokia as an external consultant, so my rank in all posts is now "Employee".

    Hi dani2xll,
thanks for that, excellent question. I agree it's not that easy to distinguish between widsets, widgets and gadgets.
The new mobile version of Nokia Support Discussions is indeed based on the java launcher of WidSets.com. The WidSets applications - they're called "widgets" - work on over 300 phone models from all manufacturers. You need to register at WidSets.com before you can add any of the thousands of widgets that are available.
The .wgz applications - apparently they're also called "widgets" - you mentioned are a similar but newer thing. Theyre based on WRT (web run time) technology, which is currently supported by N95, E90, N82 and N78 (N95 and E90 may require the latest sw update for this.) These WRT widgets can be run independently, straight from the device desktop.
And yes, we are certainly looking into the possibility of getting Discussions to work also via a WRT widget on all compatible phones.
(And if it was up to us in the Nokia Support Discussions team, such a widget would naturally be preinstalled in every compatible device )
edit: and with gadgets, I don't mean physical products but applications that run on a Vista or a Mac desktop or Igoogle. Stay tuned - more news about gadgets in the next few days!

  • Will Adobe Sketch and the other mobile apps be available on Android?

I love the idea of a mobile digital sketch pad but I don't own anything other than Android products. Are Android users going to have to bite the bullet and buy a tablet they don't want for a program they do or, will there be a light at the end of this tunnel with apps for everyone to fully enjoy?

I find it hard to believe on speculations against Androids, for me it is just a matter of time. I can only speak for myself, but I would reject position that says that Androids are neglected both for commercial agreements or market fragmentations. True, Apple is huge in the US, true Adobe sells worldwide and they did not become Adobe caring about American users only, though quite understandable that first market comes first.
A note: despite in my point of view there is nothing wrong in being trendy - like there is nothing wrong in preferring your mobile with a lily or a blue case, there is a lot to gain in working on both devices, and being a cross user I agree with you, the Androids have incredible performances. I hope too that apps will be on both kind of devices, but please, don't take Will's answer as arrogant. I take a step in into it, because I always had a very relaxed conversation with him on apps and tools and I can't see a drop of arrogance in the person. It's a very inappropriate word to use and I feel he's taken for who he's not, and his answer for something it is not either.
I strongly believe he just meant right now there is a lot of work and a lot of focus on iOs. You have too to understand that a lot of users who read here would be very picky the moment he even mentions Androids - but he is telling you: we will post here as soon as we have official plans. It is actually the best answer you can get right now. At times there are no dates and no official plans to share, same happens to me and my company.
On the other side I think it is really beautiful to see that many people value the apps and really want them on Androids too. I look at this as very positive and encouraging. I believe it is important that you keep on reminding that you are still waiting, and it is good that you make it clear you trust more the Android experience. It's good for Adobe to know what the users ask, and I would encourage this discussion to continue, as I agree too, it would be awesome to have everything on both iOs and Android.
Just don't feel provoked by the answer, and don't make it personal. I speak for myself, but out of my personal experience as an user and as an active individual in the creative world under the flag of Adobe, nobody is trying to annoy you or diss you. Look at the surface pro experience. It took some time to get there, but it's really way above the standards and for once you see mac users gaping to astonishment.

  • Photo editor app now available but doesn't work, after latest What's New update

    hi all
odd experience what I wanted to highlight with you all.
I've just had an updated (this morning) to What's New build 3.0.A.0.2
After installing this patch / update, I was then told that "Photo Editor" was available to download. Build is 5.0.A.0.12
As far as I'm concerned I've not had this app on my phone before - checking in system apps reveals this is a fresh install, rather than an update to an existing app.
Also, I've not worked out how to run it, as there's no app shortcut on my homescreen. The app is not visible in the app picklist (when adding new items to my homescreens) either. Nor is the app in the main app list (accessed with the 6 dots button in the middle of the permanent shortcut panel on the homescreen).
I've even tried using a very useful app "quick shortcut maker" and although I can find photo editor in its activity list, when i test the generated shortcut, I get "unfortunately, photo editor has stopped".
    Any ideas?
I do have some apps disabled, so does photo editor have any known dependencies?
EDIT: I've tried clearing photo editor data and restarting - no change.
    Cheers,
    Gary
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi MyAliasIsGary
Photo Editor is a system app only, it is available for use when editing photo's through your Album or Photo's app. For example, if you go into Album > tap on a photo > tap the icon at the bottom that looks like a pencil on paper > tap Photo editor.

2nd generation ipod touch is pretty much no good anymore?  It is not able to upgrade to iOS5.1 and so will not work with many Apps in the iTunes store?  Is there a way to find out if the App will work before you download?

Look to the app developer to provide that information when browsing the iTunes Store.
The iPod Touch still works, so what's your problem with it? It still works with older apps, it still does what it's intended to do.
If you aren't happy then sell it and buy a new one.

  • Slightly OT: Video Disk Space Calculator app now available

    Hi all,
I'm an FCP editor who works in a lot of different codecs, so I quite often need to know the disk space needed for a length of footage in a certain one. I know there are a few apps (widgets I think) that do this, but I disable Dashboard and haven't found any others I like.
As a former programmer by trade, I figured this was a good reason to try learning Cocoa programming.. So, as my first project, I present Video Disk Space Calculator (OSX 10.3 and above, 49kb zip file).
It's a tiny little app that does two things - calculates hard drive space based on codec/length of footage, and displays/prints out a table of codecs and their data rates. It's completely free of course. I would REALLY appreciate feedback, I figure by correcting issues and adding features I'll learn more about Cocoa programming...

this is very nice! i particularly like the data rate
    chart.
how about something similar for bitrates and various
compression methods? there are a few calculators out
there but i don't like any of them.
    Thanks, glad it is useful.
I'll keep the bitrate and compression stuff in mind for Version 2 in the future. It's a good idea.
    Thanks,

  • When will iTunes Movie app be available to the uk iOS store?

Hi, I live in the UK and was wandering when Apple will release the iTunes Movie app on the iOS store in the UK? Everytime I click the link a message appears reading "Not yet available in the store region" or something along those lines, any information regarding this topic would be appreciated, thanks.

We are just fellow users on here, until if/when Apple announce something nobody on here will know - you can try leaving feedback for Apple, but I assume that it will require agreement from the film studios, in a similar way to how films can currently only be re-downloaded in the US (and not all film studios are allowing re-downloading) : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

  • Will Adobe touch apps be available through the Amazon Android store?

I would love to try them out when my Kindle Fire arrives!

    Hi sp_josiah_sp,
Not at this time. The Adobe Touch Apps require a compatible Android tablet running Honeycomb 3.1 or higher, and a minimum screen resolution of 1280 X 800. More info in the Touch Apps FAQ. I believe the Kindle Fire has a screen resolution of 1024 x 600, and runs a modified version of Gingerbread.
    Thanks for posting!
