LG g2 messaging freezing up

When you go in the messaging it's freezing taking forever to open and type. I don't have any third party messaging apps. My husband's lg g2 is doing the same. Help!

You might want to try going to Settings | Application manager, scroll to the right till you are on the All tab, then scroll down till you see Messaging. Select it. Perform a force stop. Clear Cache, and then power cycle your phone.
Otherwise: after you upgraded to KitKat, have you ever backed up all your photos, videos, ringtones, downloaded files to a PC, written down your important settings like those for email, perhaps jotted down your critical contacts, and performed a Factory Data Reset? This will wipe your device, and it will force you to configure it again, but it may fix the behavior.

Text messaging freezes on iphone 6

My text messaging freezes for 15-30 seconds when the app is opened, sometimes I get a white screen. Other times when I open the app only the bubble shows with one message (usually the last one posted). Eventually, it will load and you can see previous text messages.
I've visited the Genius Bar twice with no resolution. They were able to run diagnostics and confirm there is a memory problem. I did reset to factory settings only to have the same problem. I have a co-worker who is experiencing the same problem. Yet I have another co-worker who is not experiencing this problem.
It is definitely an intermittent problem that persists. Does anyone have a suggestions other than resetting to factory and not restoring your backup?

Ive also encountered this bug... If I close the messaging app and reopen a few times it will eventually show up.

I he'd similar problem. iPhone 5s iSO 702.
It was very hard to scroll trough messages. It was hard to klick on a picture and get it open.
What worked for me was to delete a movie that I have send through iMessage. Once I ménage to delete it everything when're back to normal. I hope this helps you.

Mail and Messages freeze in landscape/portrait mode

When in Messages and Mail, my iPhone 5 freezes in landscape or portrait mode. I can continue to type, edit, etc. but can only get it to rotate after pressing 'Home' button or closing and re-opening app. I am running 8.0.2. I notice it most when taking a break for Mail or Messages and turning phone off and when I turn back on. I'm guessing it is a bug and not a hardware problem because I can always get it to clear by just pressing home or closing app.

Great job in coming up with a good workaround for your issue with Mail and Messages. For issues regarding iOS not functioning as expected, the following Knowledge Base article provides a great and practical list of steps for troubleshooting:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.

Txt message freezes while sending since iso7

When I go to send a txt message or reply to a message my phone is freezing during the sending process. Not delivering the txt. I have done the setting-general-reset-Reset Network settings, then it works for a little while, and again it freezes again. I have had to reset 2 times in the last day. I have also had to reset my enite phone to factory setting b/c school sits stopped allowing access. Once I reset it works again. HELP!

I have this question too. I am using iPhone 5 with iOS7 upgrade on AT&T...it freezes during send of texts (all types, simple text only msgs and pics have same problem). Dual button reboot fixes for a bit then re-occurs.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I know it is frustrating when you cannot use the Messages application as you would expect. The first thing I would suggest would be to open the multitasking screen and quit the Messages app. After It quits, relaunch it fresh and test. If the Messages application is still having the same performance issues, try restarting the iPhone. Those steps and others can be found in the following article.

Mountain lion "messages" freezing computer

downloaded mountain lion the other day. and just recently started using messages. and when i recieve a message and go to click on the messages icon on my dock sometimes it will freeze my computer. it happens 1-2 times a day. it never did this before i started using messages. anyone have any ideas?

If you get a message there's not enough disk space, then you need to free up some space on your hard drive by moving some data off of it. Get an external drive and start moving or deleting data until you get to at least 8 GB free space.

My firefox crashes withou displaying a crash message, freezes and does not respond majority of the time. what is wrong and what do i do?

When i start Firefox it either
1) crashes, no crash message displayed. just closes as if nothing happened.
2) freezes, doesn't respond to anything and i have to "kill" it with task manager because if it froze and i try to click elsewhere like to show desktop or on another task it freezes the entire computer. It freezes in 3 ways:
1) is when i just opened it and it freezes immediately
2) when i click on it, or start typing some address into the bar
3) when i press enter after I've typed the URL in the address bar.
my Firefox doesn't have any add-ons, or anything else. i already re-installed it 2 times, cleared cache, history, reset all settings. still crashes

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

Yosemite update 10.10.3 Messages freezing

I updated to Yosemite 10.10.3 yesterday and since then when I open the messages my whole mac stops working and freezes.

I Had the same issue on two mac books
it turned out to be my virus checker . Was blocking access to the net. I have a version of mcfee and had to set an application exception rule. Did that o. Both machines and all is well
try turning all the virus checker elements off. And the one by one enable the. Remember to reboot after each one. I discovered it was the application protection causing the problem

Sending Broadcast Message freezes BBM

im facing a problem when sending a broadcast mesage the BBM freezes.. it only shows "Sending Broadcast Message..." and i have to reboot my device to be able to use the BBM again.

I think I've been trying.
Your OS release looks up to date, and the File Free is high. Good.
The only thing else I could suggest is to delete your BBM app (options > advanced > Applications) and then reboot the device with a powered on battery pull.
Now, reinstall BBM from www.blackberry.com/bbm

Text messages freeze when writing them tried restarting

In the last few days I have noticed when I am writing a message the iPhone 4s is freezing and I have to wait approx 10 seconds for the cursor to flash to indicate I can continue. It happens during a message. It's very annoying. I have tried restarting my phone but the problem persists. Any help would be very welcome.

I just got off the phone w/ customer service and they said something about Verizon switching it's texting service from one thing ot another so thats why its messing up. and that it should be resolved by 6am CST. they guy didnt know why it happened both last and tonight but he said that it's on random lines (ex. my phone doesnt work but my mother's does) and shouldn't happen again but he couldn't guarantee it

When iChat 3 came out someone tested whether it would work on the platform that was running iChat 2 and also tested whether iChat 2 would work on the later OS.
This eventually led to the Reinstall procedure for iChat 3 up to the iChat 5 version.
Since then the app has required either a Backup version from when it was working, a copy on another machine running the same OS and app version numbers (the two go hand in hand) or you have to Reinstall the whole OS which will always update you to the latest version of the OS (and in the case of Messages any updates it has had).

Pop up message freezes browsers, Mac Snow Leopard

I recently started having an issue when playing games on Facebook, both by Playfish.
When I start the games as they are loading, I get a pop up message from Adobe Flash player alerting me
that Playfish.com is requesting permission to store information on my computer. It gives me the option to
deny or allow, but at the same time, the pop up freezes the browser, so I cannot do anything but exit from
the game. Here is a screen shot of the message I keep on getting.
I am using an Intel based iMac with Snow Leopard version 10.6.4. Flash Player version is MAC 10,1,82,76.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I would go to this site, read the instructions. This is the Global Storage Settings Panel. I would read the second link before deciding how you want this Panel set.

Then go to this Panel, read the instructions. This is the Website Storage Settings Panel. Read this one also.

I wanted you to read both of these Panel instructions before making any selection. The reason being is that these 2 panels work together as you will see.
They are somewhat difficult to understand but necessary.
Perhaps after making those selections, you won't have any more issues.

Making calls on my iPhone/ LockScreen and Message freezing

Hi, ive had my iphone for about six months now, im still under warranty and ive just recently been having few problems that are quiet annoying. My first problem , while making calls i can barely hear what the person is saying to me and they can barely hear me, i dont know if this is a general problem but its been happening for about 2 weeks now. Second, when in my lockscreen and recieving messages my phone just flashes and goes black i then click the lock button on the top and nothing happens.. again... nothing happens then after i like click the button repetitivly it finally come back but doesnt show i have any messagesm and when i go to my messages it doesnt show what the person sent.
Im still under warranty is there any chance of them giving me a new phone?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these steps in order until the issue is resolved.
If they do not resolve the issue, take the device to Apple for evaluation.
