Library Gone + Runtime Error

I am utterly confused, this is the second time iTunes died on me without me even restarting the PC.
What happened this time was, I tried to open it but it gives me the following error:
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe
R6025
-Pure virtual function call
And then once I click OK, iTunes gets the Windows error and closes.
What's also odd is that my entire library has disappeared(Playcounts, playlists) but the original files are still around.
I had a look at the iTunes files in My Music and they seem pretty empty which means somehow everything has been reverted back to nothing.
Is there anything I can do get my original playlists/playcounts back? Or even fix iTunes so it would open?
I've tried reinstalling QT/iTunes seperately and together and tried many different versions but nothing.

Hi Pavan,
First, we have created an external library DC. Added the jar file and exposed it as 2 public parts, for one packaging and one for compilation. Created a J2EE server component for deployment and created the PP. And then created a WD DC, and used the J2EE server component as Used DC and also mentioned as Library reference.
The approach is clean, otherwise it wouldn't have worked in dev.
There is no lib or library folder in WD DC. I fear we cannot add jar files directly to a WD DC.
Thanks and regards
Aarthi

I have the same error and it is from iTunes.  (C:/ProgramFiles(x86)\iTunes\iTunes.exe).  Now that program will not run and when I try to update it, I get the same error.  I tried deleting the program and the above folder (renamed and moved
it) and downloaded the latest exe file from Apple and I am still getting the error.

  • Windows 7 Error Message: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error.... Followed by Windows Explorer Has Stopped Working

I am running a system that is not quite 6 months old, which is loaded with Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit.
The error message that I get is as follows: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library.  Runtime error!  Program C:\windows\Explorer.exe.  This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.  Please contact the
application's support team for more information.
Once I respond to that message, I get a message that says "Windows Explorer has stopped working.  Then I get "Windows Explorer is re-starting"
I don't know if the next event is related - today, immediately after getting the message above, I got a pop-up that said "An update to Adobe Flash Player is available" - and I am given the option of installing it or not.  Today, I did not install
the update - although I recall having accepted this update in the past (again, I don't know if the two situations always occur together).
Is there some help I can be provided to correct this problem?  I have looked at several related topics in this database, but have not found anything that seems to directly relate to my question.
       Thanks!    Mark

    Hi,
Did you try to reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable
Package (x86) to check this issue?
What about to boot the computer in safe mode and Clean Boot to test this issue?

  • C++ Runtime Error when installing addons

    Hi everyone,
I get this error when trying to install or start any addon: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. Runtime Error! Program: C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\SAP Business One.exe.  Abnormal program termination. And SAP Business One quits.
I've already reinstalled SQL Server, DotNet framwork 1.1 and 2.0, and SAP business One. Tried to start with anti-virus disabled, but error persisted.
This error appears on a windows 2003 server, and on all workstations within the domain.
I am totally out of options left to get this fixed. Anyone has a clue for me?
    Thanks,

  • Every time I perform an update I get a Runtime Error message.

Every time I update an add-on or the Firefox browser I get this message:

Find out what that third party software the kext file belongs to and update or use the developers method to uninstall the third party software responsible for it.
    I suspect it's a iTunes extension perhaps?
You also can use the manual method of Finder > Go > Computer and opening your drive, then your  System/Library/Extensions folder and looking for the file and moving it out onto the desktop, you will need to be in Admin user and use your password, then reboot to clear the random access memory. However this method doesn't remove the parent program you still need to do that.
How to uninstall/install software on your Mac
The kext file wasn't loaded, so it's not running, but removing it from the Extensions folder or uninstalling what put it there will solve your notification problem as that's all it appears to be.

  • Media Manager - Runtime Error

When attempting to access the pictures on my 8130 through desktop manager v. 4.3, Media Manager, as I always do, I am getting a new error and it isn't allowing me to access the contents of my device. I am using XP. This is what the error window says:
    "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    X Runtime Error!
    Program: C:\program Files\Roxio\Media Manager 9\Mediamanager9.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the applications support team for more information.
    OK BUTTON"
When you close that window another pops up that says:
    "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    X Runtime Error!
    Program: C:\program Files\Roxio\Media Manager 9\Mediamanager9.exe
    R6025
    - pure virtual function call.
    OK BUTTON"
Roxi Media Manager is integrated with Desktop Manager and I don't know how exactly to proceed. Anyone that may be able to point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate.

I found a solution that has worked for me. I ran the install (450_b016_english.exe) and followed the prompts to modify the installation (I planned on removing Roxio/MM9 component). But before I did that, I ticked to install the 'certificate synchronisation' (copyright/private keys stuff I think) feature just to see what would happen. It went through the install, restarted the PC, and hey presto! all working. It did ask for a password to be set presumably for the synch certs thing to work.
I didn't like that so then I decided to rerun the install and untick/remove the certifictae thing (being curious to see if I would be back to MM9 errors), followed the prompts, restarted the PC and hey presto! still working.
This suggests that in my case MM9 couldn't work because of an essential but missing setting, component, registry change, or such like that is not reversed when Certs are uninstalled.
BTW - I had to use the full OEM installation file because the option from within installed programs in the control panel required the temporary .msi file that is created during installation and is cleaned out once completed.

  • Runtime error; terminate in unusal way

every time i open itunes, it opens, than a sec later an error message comes up saying...runtime error! This application has requested runtime to terminate it in an unusal way...i've seen other posts about runtime errors..but none that say this..and in those posts it seems quicktime does not open either..but my quicktime opens fine..what's going on?????
      Windows XP

I'm getting the same thing. When i first open itunes
a box pops up and says software application has
encountered a problem and needs to close...
then another box pops up and says microsoft visual
c++ runtime library then runtime error
    program:c:/programfiles/itunes/itunes.exe application
has requested the runtime to terminate
I am experiencing the exact same problem and error messages. This started on March 26th, everything was fine until then.
I tried a solution prescribed in another thread which was: to rename the itunes pref files from the application folder and move them to desktop, and then relaunch itunes; did not work. I did launch itunes under the guest account on my computer, and it works fine. This is a remedy, but I would like to completely fix the problem.

  • Runtime error R6034, itunesHelper.exe and the missing library MSVCR80.dll

I made the mistake of upgrading to the new version of itunes and I appeared the following errors:
    - Runtime Error R6034 on ituneshelper.exe
    - Library MSVCR80.dll not found
    - Error 7 (windows error 126)
I tried to install and uninstall as they say apple forums, I researched on my own restoring records, and review it with MicrosoftFixit which is also a solution to the problem but none of the options mentioned above solves the problem. I'm about to format my pc, but I read it in 3 forums that solution does not help. Lords of apple, what's going on with you? Sorry forgot to mention that since I restored settings to my pc that was 1 month ago and nothing happened.

first disable your antivirus (you can re-enable later)
go to start, right click on computer and choose properties - note if you have 64 bit or 32 bit operating system
then make sure all users on the computer are logged off
log into admin user (if yours isn't already one)
    then uninstall in this order
    itunes
    apple software update
apple mobile device support (if it won't go - support.microsoft.com/fixit - skip step 1 and go to step 2 - click install or upgrade software or hardware - then scroll down to the bottom of step 3 and click run now next to Fix problems that programs cannot be installed or uninstalled - basically tell it you want to manually tell it want you wantto do and then choose to uninstall and choose apple mobile device - if it freezes or stops around the end then just quit it and relaunch control panel and the apple mobile device should be gone)
    then continue to remove
    bonjour
    apple application support
    then restart computer
click start - left click on computer - double click on c drive
    double click on program files
make sure the itunes, ipod, and bonjour folders are gone - if they aren't select them, then right click and delete
if you are on 64 bit
complete the steps for program files and then also do program files x86
if you had to delete any of those folders manually restart again afterwards
for 32bit os - go to www.apple.com/itunes and download new itunes
for 64bit os - support.apple.com/kb/DL1615 and download the 64bit version of itunes for windows
this will resolve any issues related to the update
NOTE - this will not touch your playlists or media files - your songs are not saved in the itunes application itself those are in a different folder in your music folder

    Hello, discodiva64
Thank you for the question.  Try uninstalling all components of iTunes in the order specified of the article below.  Once this is done attempt to install iTunes again.

I went to http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1925 and did a complete removal and reinstallation of iTunes. You MUST follow the directions here exactly...it's more than just iTunes that must be removed, and it MUST be done in the order in which the support article says.  I followed the exact instructions, and iTunes is back on my machine (no more C runtime error) and you do NOT lose your music...it's all in my library, as it was before.
    Good luck!
