Lightroom and Infrared:how to keep camera image

Now that I;m hooked on Infrared and have a Canon XT and a couple of older Canon Point & Shoot converted to IR, I would love to see th same cumtom WB image that I see on the back of the camera. I've started capturing in both RAW +JPG in hopes the jpg will show the settings. I'm importing to show as separate files.
Is there a way to keep LR from changing the bluish tone of a 590 nm supercolor IR sensor image to magenta?
Is there a filter or preset or develop setting I can use to just maintain the original color quality of the JPG?

can anyone else chime in, I just want to view either my raw or jpgs as they look in jpg preview on back of camera, i know it will not be exact, but got the camera converted to Super Color so I wouldn't have to use PS extensively?

  • How to keep a image lways on top of internal frames?

    Hello.
I have a main frame with sevral internal frames. I need to put a image on this
window that can move this image remotely.
How to keep this image always on top of these internal frames?
Is there any panel that can put on top of these internal frame?
    Many thanks.

Thanks for you reply and sorry for my break English.
I mean I need a image that moving on a frame which has internal Frames.
When the image meet a internal frame while it's moving, this image will go under of the internal frame , so that we can not see the image any more.
What i want to do is that let the image always keep on top of the window,
even if it meet a internal frame.
Just imagine the windows cursor. A cursor is always visible no matter where is it.

Do you at least have the serial-numbers for them?  Did you buy discs or download them?  What versions, specifically?
If you purchased them as downloads from Adobe, they may be available under My Purchases (or whatever it is called, exactly) if you log into www.adobe.com and check the My Account area, then look at the products you’ve purchased.

  • How to keep an image "in place" within a document using Pages?

Here's what I want solved. When I position an image (like a jPeg photo) within a document I take a great amount of care as to how it looks in the layout. BUT, if I add a new line of text ABOVE the image, all the text moves, but the image stays in place. When the text above moves down, any kind of "art direction" is lost.
Yes, I know there is a way to "LOCK" the image, but that doesn't solve this issue. The formatting still moves all the text and the image is stuck, LOCKED or UN-LOCKED.
I want to know if there is a way to KEEP THE IMAGE in place within the text. I want to be able to edit above the image and not have the headache of needing to move the image every single time I change something above it.
    Does this make sense?
I have to assume there is a way to do this, I just haven't figured it out.
    I am using Pages 09.
    thanks,
    Mike C

    (a little bit more)
This text below is from the Pages help menu, but (sadly) This does NOT solve my problems.
    Locking and Unlocking Floating Objects
You can lock floating objects to avoid inadvertently moving them as you work. Inline objects cannot be grouped or locked.
After you lock individual or grouped objects, you can’t move, delete, or modify them in any way until you unlock them. However, a locked object can be selected, copied, or duplicated; when you copy or duplicate a locked object, the new object is also locked.
    To lock a floating object:
Select the objects you want to lock, and then choose Arrange > Lock.
    To unlock a floating object:
Select the objects you want to unlock, and then choose Arrange > Unlock.

  • How to keep the image centered in the window when mouse zooming in cc 2014

I,m not able to keep the image centered in the window when using the mouse scroll wheel for zooming.

Ctrl + and - keys are meant for "center zoom".  As far as I know, the zoom tool is a "point zoom" tool. If you move the zoom tool with your mouse, it will zoom in on that part of the image.
Also Ctrl 0 is "fit to screen" and Ctrl 1 is 100% zoom. (Use Cmd if this is a Mac)

  • Moving to a new PC and drive--how to retain ALL images and data in LR? (XP Pro)

I've seen a few tutorials that discuss methods for saving or transferring images between drives. Unfortunately, they always contain caveats that you will lose virtual copies, etc.
I store all my images on an external HDD. I have a single library. Everything is in RAW, off my D200.
I have the actual lightroom program installed as expected--on an internal HD (the C: drive). I'm running XP Pro.
I would like to stop using this current PC for lightroom, and install the program on my new (much faster) computer. I'd like to preserve all of my data.
Can anyone advise me if this is possible? Or am i doomed to lose all of my collections, ratings, virtual copies, yadda yadda yadda?
    Thanks,
    Erik

Isn't there an export Catalog option from the file menu in LR? I've never done it before myself, but it may be what you are looking for... I exported to an new folder, and it tells me that I have for example, 1259 photos and 2 virutal copies... and appears to even copy the previews... I assume you then just copy that exported catalog, and its previews to a folder on your new computer, and you're set to go once you load that catalog into LR.
It even can copy the "negatives" or actual image files so they can be transferred easily as well, but since your images on external drive, you may wish to uncheck that option.

  • Problem with Lightroom and Infrared Photography

This problem is specifically related to using LR & PS to process Infrared images. I apologize if this forum may not be the correct place to ask this question.  I am having problems processing Infrared Images when using LR & PS.  I take my IR images with a 530 IR conversion to a Canon G12 camera.  I learned early on Adobe products don't play well with IR images (they come in magenta when importing ) so I bring IR images shot withmy G12  into my computer with Canon Digital Photo Professional and then work in LR & PS from there.
If I then directly open this imported image from my hard drive into Photoshop and try and do adjustments such as blue sky adjustments with a red/blue channel swap, it works fine, just as I would expect.
(If you are not familiar with IR processing, I understand this introduction and question will not make sense)
But when using Lightroom, I sometimes have issues. I always import all my images into LR. Even with IR images, after using DPP to bring them to my computer, I import them into LR for cataloging purposes and to make other potential adjustments. Then my usual workflow is to move photos from LR to Photoshop via the "edit in" command. This opens a dialog box giving a choice of "edit a copy with LR adjustments" which is the default option and the one I always use, or "edit original".
Here's the interesting thing I finally discovered.
If I send the photo from LR to PS using the "edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments" option, I get a bad blue sky effect, where the sky is green and the foliage is pink instead of the sky being blue and the foliage yellow. But if I send it to PS using the "edit original" option, the blue sky effect works fine.
So there appears to be an issue when tring to send IR images from Lightroom to Photoshop. Any thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Matthew Kraus

Thanks so much for working on this.
I fear the behavior you noticed was just due to the fact I cheanged the
file from 16 bit to 8 bit so the size was smaller and I could easily email
it.  When I open any of my regular 16 bit files, whether I send them to PS
as "edit original" or "edit copy with lightroom adjustments", they both end
up as 16 bit and as far as I can see, seem the same, though obviously they
    are not.
I don't really have a preset, but I'll walk you through the process.
    1. Choose Channel Mixer from the Adjustment Pannel
    2. Make sure the output channel is red, change the red channel slider from
100% to 0% and increase the blue channel slider from 0% to 100%.  You can
    type in the values.
    3. Change the output channel to blue.  Increase the red channel from 0% to
100% and the blue channel from 100% to 0%.
This is supposed to change the sky from brown to blue and the foliage from
blue to yellow and is what happens when you use the "edit original"
option.  When you use the "edit copy with lightroom adjustments", the sky
turns green and the foliage pink.  So you get 2 different behaviors,
depending on which option you use to bring the image from LR to PS.
That's my question, why do you get 2 different behaviors?
    Thanks,
    Matthew Kraus

  • Lightroom and cropping - how accurate is it?

Has anyone noticed the in accuracy of the cropping in Lightroom (beta 4.1)????
I'm not sure if its just me but if you crop an image in lightroom, for example, custom size, 8 x 6 (I assume its inches), and then export the image to a given resolution (my labs require 304 dpi), then open in Photoshop and check the image size, its actually slightly larger than 8 x 6 inches (more like 8.2 x 6.15 inches) !!!!???
Is this a know problem that will be sorted in v1 or thinking about it, should the export resolution be 300 dpi thus the extra 4 dpi might be causing the oversized crops??? or am I just missing something simple here!?
BTW, Lightroom rocks - 2 weeks to go, can't wait...
    Stewart

    Stewart,
I hope that you won't be insulted if I suggest that your screen resolution set in Photoshop may be wrong. I think it defaults to 72 ppi but I have to set mine to 80 ppi to get the correct print size.
Quick way to check is call up the rulers on to an image and compare them to a real ruler held up to the screen.

  • WRT54GS and DSL: how to keep it disconnected

Hi, I have a DSL link that I pay per use and I would like to keep it disconnected until I need it for the Internet access or email. Is there a parameter I can set on the router to have it working in that way? Do I have to stop some service on the computer (Win Vista Home Premium) to avoid any connection request if not manually required? Thank you very much for your help, best regards, Massimo

Log into the router's UI, on the Setup tab there should be two options something to the effect of On Demand and Keep Alive.  Enable On Demand and set the time. On Demand will time out after the set time and should re-establish the connect when you use it. Keep Alive is continuously on. I have mine on Keep Alive so I don't know how effective On Demand is.

  • I seem to have lost my original images and unwanted images have moved into my library. I couldn't access lightroom 3 as usual and was provided a default option which I clicked. I ely heavily on lightroom and have spent countless hours fixing images, ple.

Hi, I seem to have lost my original images and unwanted images have moved into my library. I couldn't access lightroom as I would normally and was provided with a default option which I clicked. This all occured while I was trying to free up space on my computer while viewing saved images on my hard drive, which are linked up directly to a photoshop elements program. Please tell me this can be fixed.....

    Hi there,
I don't believe I did move or delete my catalogue. Where can I look for my catalog file. Why does my Lightroon now contain more images and ones I don't want on it, without my physically importing them?

  • How to save camera image in different folder (other than Camera Roll) in Ios?

I am developing an App where I am taking pictures from the Camera but all the pictures get stored in the Gallery. I would like to store all the pictures taken in this app to be stored in a different folder so that when users view the pictures in the app, it should show only the pictures taken using the app. Currently, all the pictures of the Gallery are being displayed which I do not want.
I want to create a folder, store camera pictures taken using the app in this folder then display all the images of the folder in the app.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

  • How to keep my image from flickering

I am acquireing images, applying different processing routines to them and displaying them in a child window on the main application window. I do this continuously in a while loop. This works, however, each time a new display window is written over the old display window it creates a flicker. Is there any way to create a passive display window that i can just display a new image in, instead of constantly calling the imaq image display function each time I post the new image? I don't think I can use the picture display functions because I am acquireing the images real-time via the 1428 interface --- so i'm not saving them to disk.

I think you're in luck. LabVIEW 7 Express along with NI-IMAQ 2.6 (which is a free upgrade on ni.com) has a new embedded LabVIEW front panel image display. No more child window or picture control headaches. The new image display is similar to a native LabVIEW chart or graph. Drop it down on the front panel and wire an image to it.
As you can probably tell, I'm pretty pleased with the new improvements to the Vision Development software, including NI-IMAQ 2.6.

  • Curves in UIScrollView and zoom : how to keep the width ?

    Dear all,
I have a very simple issue. I successfully implemented a UIScrollView with a Bezier Curve, and the zoom is also working fine. (I'm also using a CATiledLayer to improve the final render. But it's optional for this issue...)
The point is the following : if I zoom in, the width of the curve will be increased (original width * Zoom). So, to keep a good width at the screen, I reduce dynamically the width (CGContextSetLineWidth(context, 1.0/scale)).
This methods works but... I have the deep feeling that it's not the best solution. Because if I zoom in a lot (like 10x), the curbe became darker (because the width becomes 1/10...)
So, is it possible to keep the width of the Curve of 1px without modifying the width manually ? (like in the bloomberg application, for instance...)
Thanks a lot for your tips !

Since I see that nobody really seems understanding... my question can be summarized by this :
Is it possible to define a curve width zoom independent ?
