Limitation on additional fields in VA03 on ECC6.0 ??

Dear expert,
I wanted to know is there any limitation on the number of custom fields that can be added on the additional data tabs in VA03 on ECC 6.0? If yes, then what is the max. number of fields that can be added ?
Do we use EEWB for adding these fields in ECC 6.0 ?

Hi suchita,
There isn't limitation to a number of field that you can add to additional data B tabs. In one client where I worked, was needed to add around of 120 new field. I don't know well EEWB, but in the standard way to add a field in Additional data B tabs there isn't problem with the number of fields added.

Additional Fields in CATS

The CATS additional fields (CATS_ADDFI-FIELD1 to CATS_ADDFI-FIELD10) are all CHAR type fields of length 35. I want to create a custom Notes field and assign it to one of the Additional Fields but I would like to have more than 35 characters. Is there away to create a custom CATS field that is more than 35 characters and assign it via the Additional Fields?

Please look at the following information provided by our developer in Apr. 2006
unfortunately I have to tell you that you are describing a program
limitation with regards to custom fields. The standard length of
customer fields is defined in the CATSDB structure with 35. Please also
refer to the element list of the screen (SAPLCATS 2002).
A fieldlength > 35 CHAR is considered not to be usable on the CAT2
entry screen, therefore this limitation has been introduced.
According to development I have to tell you that this is the standard
design which will not be changed. However you can change it yourself
via modification to prevent this truncation. This has to be done for
CATS_ADDFI_FIELD* in screen SAPLCATS 2002.
Another option other than a modification would be to create a
development request for any new functionality (e.g. conversion of all FL
to a uniform object ID).

How to drag out additional field in document printing in B1

Hi all expert,
My customer need additional field or information to be show at the document printing window in standard B1. Example like customer name or user define field for warehouse.
The standard B1 document printing is limited with the form setting is disable. User wanted additional information like printing status, warehouse(using user define field) , customer name able to show out on the document printing window screen.
Any idea about it? How can i to do it besides using SDK? If using SDK, what is the code i should write?
Can you give some sample code?

My question still un-answered yet. I think i have to clarify here.
What i mentioned is when user go -> Sales A/R -> Document Printing, select A/R Deliveries. A list of A/R Deliveries display in the windows form.
There is only limited field available in the windows form. User now wanted additional field like customer name & warehouse appear also at the document printing form. But the form setting for this windows is dissable.
I know we can done it using the PLD. But..Can we add in the information like customer name & warehouse code in the document printing form before print out. User need this information to control which warehouse A/R deliveries note have to print out. Example we have 10 deliveries order, it may be need delivery order 1,3,5,8 to print out.

CAT2 Time sheet additional field length

Hi All
I have added additional fields in include CI_CATSDB in that fields one fields is reference field in that I have taken field length 60 Char but in the input it is taking length only 35 Char.
So if any one has come across this issue please help me because I have to enter reference that have more length.

in the catsdb table it will accept the length as 60 , but in the screen fld in the structure , it does not allow more than 35 chars, it is a limitation.

COPA is very useful module in Controlling. If you are upgrading 4.6 to ECC6. I strongly recommend you to implement COPA.
COPA reporting is based on Characteristcs & Value Fields. You can create upto 30 Charactereistcs other then standard. Similarly 120 value fields for value posting.
There are two types of COPA. Costing Based is nice. Following values can be posted in COPA at real time. Selling & Admin expenses product wise can be allocated as well.
1. Production Variances
2. Billing from SD.
3. FI posting on the basis of characteristcs.
You can create many reports from front end as per your requirement.

Additional field in adhoc query

Hi all, I need to be able to report on the IT105 subtype 0001 system ID for employees who are withdrawn from the company, however, when someone leaves their IT105 record is delimited so adhoc query will not output anything. Has anyone coded an additional field that will look at the latest record regardless of the date?

How to add additional fields to zreport which contains standard report code

Hi Experts,
In order to add additional fields to standard report i copied the code into zreport but i am unable to add additonal field into report because the code is looking so complex.
standard report:AQZZ/SAPQUERY/FKF1============
     or
sapmenu->accounting->financial accounting->accounts payable->information system->reports for accounts payable accounting->master data->S_ALR_87012087-Addresslist.
Additional feilds to add is :Region,company code,country

First check whether these three fields are available in the text elements area.
Please write your code in the subroutine %comp_ldesc.
Repeat the code for your three new fields

How To Add Additional Fields When Creating New Contact From w/in Mac Mail?

Hi there. When in Mac Mail and clicking on contact information provided within an email, we are able to either (1) CREATE NEW CONTACT or (2) ADD TO EXISTING CONTACT (by clicking on the arrow next to a phone number, address, etc.). If I choose "Create New Contact," how can I add additional fields BEFORE clicking on "Add to Address Book" button in lower right corner? Let's say, for example, I know this new contacts URL or company. (Currently, I am creating the new contact from within Mac Mail and then going to Address Book and finding the contact, then editing, the adding the additional fields, then saving, and then going back to Mac Mail. This all takes time.)
Note: When creating a new iCal event from within Mac Mail, we can click on Option/Alt key when selecting drop-down arrow...and this will allow us to add additional information. The same feature isn't available for address book???

I have the exact same question and problem. If there was a way to automatically open the AB entry after "creating new contact" this would solve it.

I think you need to show more programs.
you said, the report program is 'RHXPE_EXPIRED_QUALI', but you upload 'rhpk_find_pers_with_expired_qu' program.
usually, ALV field is modifyed in 'PERFORM fieldcatalog_modify', if you use Functional ALV.
Try to search 'fieldcatalog function', you will find easy.

Additional Field in standard maintenance view

Hi Experts,
I would like to add an additional field plant in maintenance view V_TKZU3_CO (SPRO PATH: Controlling --> Product cost controlling -->Product cost planning --> Basic settings for material costing -->Overhead -->Define costing sheets ).
What I'm planning to do is to modify the standard maintenance view V_TKZU3_CO and regenerate the table maintenance generator so that the new field will be added and populate a ztable a copy of table TKZU3 + plant...
However what I'm afraid of is when I regenerated the table maintenance generator using the standard function group OCOE, it might impact some other standard object included..
Do you have any idea on how can I add the additional field without modifying the standard? Or if I will apply the standard modification I'm planning.. what are the possible impacts?

Additional Fields for ESS-Business Card Not Working for Certain Countries

Dear Experts,
We were trying to configure the additional fields to be displayed in Business Card - Overview Screen for all countries. We don't have problem configure and get the new fields display for Malaysia (Molga = 14) but having problem for the field to display for Hong Kong (Molga = 27) and Singapore (Molga - 25).
The strange thing is I am following the same steps as I configured for Malaysia. Somehow it is not working for Hong Kong and Singapore. As I understand, there is only 1 place to configure in SPRO for this requirement:
Personnel Management -> Employee Self-Service -> Service-Specific Settings -> Own Data -> Customizing of Personal Information Screens -> Determine Fields for Business Card on Overview Screen

Adding additional field in cProject is not working after transporting

Hi All,
My intention is to add additional field in cProject. So i copied a required view through program BSP_CUSTOMIZE and into another Z* BSP Application object. Then i had done the necessary modification on the view and saved. Then copied error.do controller and actived and tested in development server. It was working fine. So i moved the transport request for this object to quality system. When i tried to test the same thing in quality system, changes done in views are not reflecting.
When i checked the entries in table BSP_APPLC, i didnt find any. I hope this is the reason why my changes in views are not reflected.
Can anyone have idea, why it is not happening so. Kindly help.

Ensure that in table BSP_APPLC is an entry for cprojects linking to your own aplictaion Zcprojects and is activated.
I guess you have to reactivate the BSP_CUSTOMIZE in target system again.
Please remeber: BSP_CUSTOMIZE is not supported officially.
