Line tapers to point, displays/prints fuzzy

I'm trying to make a horizontal line taper to a point on both ends. The line is 1.5 points thick, and I tried it two different ways:
1. Expand it (or whatever the terminology is) to a rectangle then add points at the middle of the left and right sides and drag them outward to create a taper.
2. Leave the line alone and make a very skinny triangle that I stick on each end.
In either case, it appears that as the top and bottom lines of the taper slope at an angle that is very close to (but not quite) horizontal, they display fuzzy. When I print on our non-Postscript Epson 2200 it comes out chunky - almost like it was pixellated then softened up a bit.
I'm pretty sure this will print correctly on a press, but I'm just a little nervous. Should I be?

I agree. But, most 600dpi inkjets will render down to .25pt and it depends on paper. Even on bond, the taper should print smooth, however, it will hold up better through a Postscript RIP via glossy paper set to 1200dpi or 2400dpi if available. On the monitor, depending on its set resolution, it will look pixelated. Typically, some lines look worse on screen than they print. I'm not familiar with the e2200, does it have a dedicated Black cart in it? Set the document resolution to match the printer, just to be safe. This will help with the flatness of the vectors. I've seen this type of pixelation in some non-Postscript photo printers, but send it to your local print shop and have them print the file through their system and see how it holds up. You're probably right, it should print OK. I like your idea of two triangles joined at the center.

3D Line Graph.vi not displaying line connecting data points.

I'm having trouble getting 3D Line Graph.vi to display the line connecting my data points. I'm collecting latitude, longitude, and depth data from a binary file, loading this data into arrays with a while loop, and sending those arrays to 3D Line Graph.vi. When I tried doing it with arrays created by random number generators, the line is displayed, but when I use it with my actual data, no lines are displayed. I can only see where the data points are when rotating the 3D graph. Any ideas on this would be appreciated.

Thanks for the info on the 3-D Curve VI. I tried it and it works. I think I was able to find the problem with 3D Line Graph.vi. It has something to do with plotting very close points away from the origin and scaling the axes to view the line. I have attached an example of where the vi breaks down. In this example, you can see that part of the line is drawn, but when you rotate the graph, you can see that the line is not drawn through all of the points. If you change the scale of the axes, then you eventually get the line to go through all of the points, but then the graph is not very "readable" at that point. It's when you try to zoom in really close to the plotted points.

DISPLAY/PRINT MY EXPENSE REPORTS UNDER TERA FAILS WITH THE ERROR MESSAGE

Hi Techies,
When i click on "Display/print" button under my expense report ( Employee --> Travel & expenses --> Manage Expenses (TERA) --> My trip reports), it opens up a new window with the error message "SOAP Framework error: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoapExceptionTransport : HTTP send failed with exception communication_failure(100,101)."
This behaviour is noticed in the new upgraded system NW 701 SP7 (portal) and backend ECC 6.0 EHP4; However it works perfectly fine with our non-upgraded system NW 70 SP10 (portal) and backend ECC 6.0.
When i ran the trace on this functionality, i could notice that in the non-upgraded system, after pulling all the values, it calls the RFC function module "PTRM_WEB_FORM_HTML_GET"; however the upgraded system calls "PTRM_WEB_FORM_PDF_GET".
For the "PTRM_WEB_FORM_PDF_GET", I believe we need to configure the "ADS" rfc pointing to the ADS service on a j2ee server which am not planning for.
MY QUESTION IS:-
IS THERE ANY OPTION TO CHANGE THE FORM BEING CALLED FROM "PTRM_WEB_FORM_PDF_GET" TO "PTRM_WEB_FORM_HTML_GET" WHICH I BELIEVE WILL RESOLVE THE PROBLEM AM FACING?

In Web Dynpro, the Parameter for Formula is Defaulted to PDF file. If
you don't want to use the ADOBE Form in ESS, you have to follow 2 steps:
Solution
    o Check the Homepage framework configuration.
In IMG (transaction SIMGH) go in Travel Management->Employee Self
Service->Homepages Framework->Ressources
Delete the URL parameter "sap.xss.tra.UsePdf=true" of the ressource
"EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_TRIPFORM_SRV05".
Check that the field URL for PCD file is filled with

Normally if it is not filled in your client, the system should use the

and Expenses->Display Trip Form

In the field Application Parameters, you will find a parameter

Firstly, I would ask you to check the customizing steps from 944221
to ensure no issue with the ADS configuration for the pdf form.

Now, All the things are printing fine except dual printing of the Line items at the below of Check.

we have done check printing here. but can u pl tell me why is the line item required to be printed below the check also??
u must have observed that in the check sapscript ( F110_PRENUM_CHCK), the main window is situated above the check window.. n the line items are coming within the main window...since the line items are dynamic data( not fixed), u have to create a window below the check n that has to be a MAIN window again for it to display multiple data.. so wen ur last page is getting called ( u need to find that out that wen is the last page getting called ), u can insert a write_form for this new main window along with the other write_form( for the earlier main window).
it can get very complex though as i dont know if this will certainly work...
is the requirement reaaly to print the line items below the check or anything else will do?? as it wud greatly reduce ur headache...

Large RTF Display/Printing Issue

I have a large ColdFusion Report being generated in a RTF
format (4.5 MB). The last few pages of the report are not
displaying/printing correctly. The report contains 161 pages, the
last 10 pages are displaying/printing incorrectly. In the last 10
pages of the report, data is being truncated and the layout of the
report is all over the place. When the report is generated as a PDF
or Flash paper it works fine. Must be a file size priblem. Given
the requirements, the report must be generated as a RTF. Has anyone
experience this issue? Is there a work around?

Try resetting your Photoshop Preferences. If that dose not fix the problem you mat have to restore yur system to a point in time where your printer was working.

How to create a report in Form line Style and can display Image field?

Hi,
In Report builder 10g, I would like to create a Report with Form Line Style and this report included a Image field.
I can choose this Style only when Select Report type is Paper Layout. Because, If I choose Create both Web & Paper Layout or Create Web Layout only then in the next Style tab 03 option Form, Form letter and Mailing Label be Disabled.
But in Paper Layout, my report can not display Image field.
I tried with Web layout and all the other Styles (Except 03 mentioned be Disabled) then all Styles are displayed Imager field OK.
How to create a report in Form line Style and can display Image field?
I was change File Format property of my Image field from text to Image already in Property Inspector. But report only showed MM for my Image field.

Here you go..Just follow these steps blindly and you are done.
1) Create a year prompt with presentation variable as pv_year
2) Create a report say Mid report with year column selected 3 times
- Put a filter of pv_year presentation variable on first year column with a default value say @{pv_year}{2008}
- Rename the second time column say YEAR+1 and change the fx to CAST(TIME_DIM."YEAR" AS INT)+1
- Rename the second time column say YEAR-1 and change the fx to CAST(TIME_DIM."YEAR" AS INT)-1
Now when you will run Mid Report, this will give you a records with value as 2008 2009 2007
3) Create your main report with criteria as Year and Measure col
- Change the fx for year column as CAST(TIME_DIM."YEAR" AS INT)
- Now put a filter on year column with Filter based on results of another request and select these:
Relationship = greater than or equal to any
Saved Request = Browse Mid Report
Use values in Column = YEAR-1
- Again,put a filter on year column with Filter based on results of another request and select these:
Relationship = less than or equal to any
Saved Request = Browse Mid Report (incase it doesn't allow you to select then select any other request first and then select Mid Report)
Use values in Column = YEAR+1
This will select Year > = 2007 AND Year < = 2009. Hence the results will be for year 2007,2008,2009
This will 100% work...

First, which table are you referring to. If your fist APP run clears the line item, it will no longer be available in the open item.
Please be more specific on the problem so that we can try to help you. If possible, please provide screenshots.

Error when Display/Print my expense report,travel request and travel plan

I had configurated the ADS and ESS successfully.We are using ESS and interactive form now.
And we had developed some interactive form and they work fine .
In page "My Trips and Expenses " , there are 4 tabs " All My Trips"," My Travel Requests"," My Travel Plans " and " My Expense Reports " .
When I selected one row of table and click button " Display/Print" , I got the error :

How can I get the Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility driver installed on Win7 LC master?

We recently migrated from a Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2012 print server. When recomposing a linked clone pool with the old 2003 server, drivers were taken care of for the printer when the user printed for the first time after desktop recompose. With 2012, any printer using the Point and Print driver doesn't seem to obtain the driver again from the 2012 server. All of our clients are running Windows 7 which means the Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility driver is not installed in the OS natively.
I apparently need to figure out a way to get this installed on the host image so it trickles down to snapshots when recomposing the linked clone pool but I haven't been able to dig much information on doing this. Does anyone out there have any insight on how to accomplish this? If I recompose a pool now for a user who is using a new Point and Print driver, they get the following message that is resolved by removing the printer from their account and re-adding it:
"The 'Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility driver' printer driver is not installed on this computer. Some printer properties will not be accessible unless you install the printer driver. Do you want to install the driver now?"
I figured the easy solution would be to just install a printer using the Point and Print driver and then remove it...leaving the driver behind (unless it cleaned up after itself). The problem with this is in my testing, even after removing and re-adding a printer that set off installation of this Point and Print driver on the client, any other printer that was using it still required the remove/re-add process in order to work, else I got the same message. That tells me that the driver may be custom for each printer installed?
Color me a little confused. I do NOT like the way that Server 2012 handles printers. I've come across a few other issues as well (such as duplex capabilities not being remember on the print server for a printer) that I never had with the 2003 server.

It is all up to you. You can use the phone line which came with the printer or you can get a new one. It does need to be a 2-wire phone line though.

only displaying the remaining items like
eg: 40 discount 500
50 ABC 2000
is not displaying
what may be reason. where can i change settings

This will happen as the system searches for automatically created line items, in this case, the discount.
Nothing to worry, press Enter key twice, after simulation, you should get the all line items display

I have A problem with PO pronting form. In the PO craetion(me23n), IF we mention certain text in last line item the PO printing form is behaving uncertanly.
If the text limit to a particular line is mentioned , then PO printing in only first Page and otherpage is not printing where further data is supposed to print.
If we exceed the limt , its again printing correctly in 2 pages with all the data. If we decrese the limit aslo printing fine.
My problem is , I could not understand exactly where the problem is coming. while debugging Befor the text apperas in form I have an inlcue like this form.
INCLUDE &T166P-TXNAM& OBJECT &T166P-TDOBJECT& ID &T166P-TDID& LANGUAGE &EKKO-SPRAS& PARAGRAPH IX.
IS the prob exist here?

Hi,
Header Long texts will be different from Line items long text, i think you are passing the long text for line items, so check how the long text is coming in debugger of the sapscript for each line item.
Look at the Text Element ITEM_TEXT in the Main window of the sapscript. It has the INCLUDE which holds the text you are talking.

Transparency fill in line graph data points does not copy over to Pages

I have created some line graphs in Numbers, and they look beautiful. Since some of my data overlap and I want users to be able to easily see where all data is on the graph, I have made the data points transparent on the foremost line. This allows the other line (which data points are filled in with another color) visible "through" the foremost line.
However, when I attempt to copy the graphs into Pages, the data points of the foremost line are no longer transparent - they are filled with white. Obviously, this defeats the entire purpose of using a transparency fill!
What can I do to make this work?

Thank you for the tip. Unfortunately, I need to embed several of these charts into the Pages document, and cannot use Numbers instead of Pages for the document.
Interestingly, if I copy the chart from Numbers and paste it into some graphics programs (like Pixen and Pixelator), the transparency is preserved. However, pasting the same copy into other graphics programs (such as Seashore or Photoshop) somehow flattens the image, removing the transparency, and I'm back to square one.
Using a graphics program as the bridge between Numbers and Pages reduces the quality of the chart - that's why I'd like to try to make this work in Numbers / Pages.

Line Chart does not display grid lines for x-axis (apex 2.0 / 3.0)

is there an option to display x-axis grid lines?
I set up an SVG chart (Line) but only IE displays y-axis grid-lines. I set the "Show Grid Line" - value to "enable"
Does any body has an idea how I told apex to display x-axis grid lines also.
Btw: only MS Internet Explorer displays the grid lines, I use firefos 1.5.0.10 -> no grid lines are displayed.
The table how I create the chart are as follows

I changed this and put usage of UTL_FILE into a dynamic PL/SQL. The package will
compile and work unless you want to create debug information. If yes, then it will raise an
error message. So, you don't need UTL_FILE execution priviledge from your DBA.
I opened the package and you may modify it the way that you don't need any public
synonyms and no UTL_FILE to run it.
There are so many questions in this forum related to "What is my DBA going to say?" or
"How is he going to react?". Even for some minor issues. I have myself also seen some
of similar situations and the only thing I can sey is:
You got to use that powerfull tool Oracle Database instead of hiding it away from your
users and developers. Learn how to control it instead of prohibiting access to it! Otherwise,
it's just a waste of money.

I have an HP deskjet that works fine on Mozilla, but the Lexmark X5470 will not print from Firefox. It will; however, print a PDF document from Mozilla.

This may be a printer driver issue. I recommended first connect printer directly to computer and check for Software Updates, this will tell you if you have any printer updates.
If you are using a Mac computer follow troubleshooting steps in HT3500
(Basically, navigate to Print & Scan in System Preferences and right-click or control-click on printer from left and choose Reset Printing System, then re-add preferred printer.)
If you are using a Windows computer download and install Bonjour Print Services DL999
