Link Between PSA and Data Targets

Hi Experts,
Could you please help me is there any table which will have PSA & data target (Cube or ODS) details.
I know the table which will have data target manage screen details and other table wil give the details like data loaded into till PSA.
But i want to know any SAP table will have link between PSA & data target.
I want to know if the request is loaded till PSA or it is loaded into data target.
Any table will give details like PSA request no, if target is there then some kind of flag like....
Please let me know if any one know the table which will have PSA as well as Data target details.
Thaks in Advance
Shaik

  • InfoPack processing (PSA and data targets in parallel) data and lock issues

    Good morning,
We are on BW 3.5 and contemplating changing our InfoPackages from option 1 (PSA then data targets) to option 2 (PSA and data targets in parallel) for performance reasons (test have shown a gain of 50% in load time compared to using option 1).
Issues have been raised that using option 2 may lead to data consistency and lock issues especially for SD infosources where we are dealing with multiple daily status changes for same document that need to be read in a specific order.
From what I have read, such issues were possible in BW 2.x e.g. OSS Note 384023 and 364577. However, I am under the impression that the issues may have been resolved in BW 3.x and that it is "safe" to use option 2 (PSA and data targets in parallel).
Would really appreciate if you could please share your experience when using processing option 2 (PSA // DT) especially in a BW 3.xx system.
    Thank you in advance,
    Catherine

    Hi Amit,
The help text (vers. 3.5) for this method of loading says simply -
"A process is started to write the data from this data packet into the PSA for each data package. If the data is successfully updated in the PSA, a second parallel process is started. In this process, the transfer rules are used for the package data records, data is adopted by the communication structure, and it is finally written to the data targets. Posting of the data occurs in parallel by packet.
This method is used to update data into the PSA and the data targets with a high level of performance. The BW system receives the data from the source system, writes it to the PSA, and starts the update immediately and in parallel into the corresponding data target"
Not sure where you got your description from, but is not explained well and confusing.
    Regards,
    Ken

  • Relation between psa and data source

    Hi everyone,
What is the relation between DataSource and PSA.

PSA tables get created when u activate datasource in BW...replication is just required for purpose of Meta data loading for that data source....PSA will store data temporarily when u will load data from R/3....just u can manage PSA request datasource wise....by right clicking datasource...selecting manage tab u can see all the PSA req corresponding to that particular datasource.

The problem I see is wrong url for jDriver.
    you have to say: jdbc:weblogic:oracle
In properties what you need is:
    user=
    password=
    server=
Actually, your connetion pool is not created yet. It has problems. Make sure you create connectionpool successfully
    first.
    Thanks,
    Mitesh

  • Broken Link between Base and Target document in 'Copy To' option

    Hi Folks,
One of our client has been facing a peculiar issue. When the 'Copy To'  function is used to Copy document from Sales Order to Delivery and recently one instance of 'Copy To' from Delivery to A/R Invoice ,the base document got copied to the target document in each case but there was no trace of any Base Ref. left in the Target document( either in row level or Remarks), thereby the link between the Base and Target document got broken. The Base document remains with status as open. The same base document when tried again to 'Copy To', it creates the link between Base and new Target document.
This instance had occurred recently 3- 4 times in a span of 3 months or so. In normal circumstance this never happens. The client is pretty sure they have used 'Copy To' option to copy the document from Base to Target.
Any hints or possible reasons if one can highlight would be appreciable.
The current version used is SAP B1 8.82 PL11 and it was upgraded more than a year back.
    Regards,
    Bharath

    Hi,
All the data in Sales Order and Delivery are matching one to one in terms of row details,
    and Document header level.
The missing data was Base Ref. data and Del.Date didn't get copied from base to target as shown in screen shot.
Also i have checked it earlier regarding change of target document row details like changing item, but this will only remove the link of that particular row and remaining row link remains intact, but in this case there are many items and it doesn't seem user will have changed in all the rows.

  • How to push the data from PSA to Data Target in 3.5 version

    Hi Experts,
I'm currently working on BI 7. I have some master data load being maintained in 3.5 version.
The infopackage has an option to load the data to psa and data target when extracted.
I want to stage the data at PSA only.
Later I want to trigger it to the target.
In 7 version we use DTP but I'm not very sure what should I do here.
Can anyone please help me to push the data to the target please using 3.5 version.
    Thanks

    Hi pathak,
Thanks for your reply. I'm able to do it.
Can you please tell me how do I filter the load to target.
We have filter in DTP where i can restrict the load.
Do we have any option in 3.5.
    Please advice.
    Thanks

  • Link  between knvp and the data belonging to a pernr

    Hello
In table knvp there are link between customer and partners. These partners can be companies but also persons.
Thje personnujmber is filled in case.of a person.
Does anyone knows the links or the tables belonging to that pernr ( like the adddres, email etc.).
i do not want the functions.
    thanx in advance

    Hi,
Master data of personnel number are stored under infotype tables (table PAxxxx).
e.g. the address is stored in infotype 0006 (PA0006), while email is usually stored in infotype 0105 (PA0105)...
The key fields of those infotypes tables are mainly the personnel number, along with the validity dates and a subtype field if needed (e.g. the standard subtype for email in PA0105 is '0010')...
fyi, You can display/maintain all PA infotypes through transaction PA20/30...

    Manu.

  • Link between sd and pp

    hi all,
i have a problem regarding relation or link between sales and production order. i have to fetch production order number related to sales order number. i have checked in the table AFPO that is production order item table , there is field AFPO-KDAUF and AFPO-KDPOS ie, sales order and sales item. but when i see these two fields there is no data into the field so how can i get data into the table related to production order.can anyone help me on this issue.

Please refer to the below links -
    https://forums.sdn.sap.com/post!reply.jspa?threadID=309885
Integration points with MM/IM and PP are some of the following -
When a Production order is created and released a reservation gets created for the materials in BOM
When the reservation is created and materials are posted against the reservation with mvt type 311 these are transferred to the respective location.
When a GR is posted with mvt type 101, the Finished or Semifinished goods are posted to the respective storage location and inventorized.
When a consumption is posted with mvt type 261 then stock will get reduced in resepective storage location.
When a batch determination is done in a production order basing on the batch search strategy and sort rule material, quantity and batch are selected.
If WM is configured an associated internal movement for all the above movement types will be posted.
During MRP, BOM which is a master data for PP is used to calculate the dependent requirements of materials.
During availabilty check of a production order basing on the availability check configured materials will be selected and checked.
Hope the above may help you.

  • Updating data from PSA to Data Target

    Hi,
I just want to update data from PSA to data target.
There is a process chain running daily it will updating Master Data in to 0Vendor object. This process chain is updating only upto PSA not the data target. I just want to update from PSA to data target.
There is a update rule for 0Vendor but itu2019s not active at the movement and also it is not properly mapped with the 0Vendor.
Is there any other method which I can update data from PSA to Data target with in the same process chain.
    Thanks
    Ganesh

If this is BW 3.5, change the infopackage setting to load to data target as well.
This is a other w ay than using the update from infopackage.
if this is 7.0, Use the DTP to load from PSA(datasource) to Target.
Let me know if this helps.
    Thanks
    Sachin

  • Install from scratch 3 times Mavericks but cannot used my restore it will just start for ever. After first install and restore mail and link between folder and files didn't work anymore. Now cant see my disk in finder. Help?

First install through regular update : never finishing the start after automatic restart
First install from scratch: erase through disk utility, install OS X Mavericks (using Recover mode), restart ok - Used Migration Assistant to restore applications and data only - Mail crashed each 5 inutes and asked constantly for password of my 2 accounts, links between folders and files not OK and attaching a doc was complicated. I downloaded the update same problems
Second install from scratch: erase through disk utility, install OS X Mavericks (using Recover mode), restart ok - Used Migration Assistant to restore applications and data only and settings : never finishing the start after automatic restart
Third install from scratch: erase through disk utility, install OS X Mavericks (using Recover mode), restart ok - But no disk available in Finder
So far no Mac since 3 days ...
    Any help is welcome

Still struggling to understand why copying the entire root dir to a disk image and then restoring from that image did not, as expected, yield an identical system, and why I even had to reinstall after doing this.
Because there is a lot more going on under the hood than merely copying files.
The only way to do what you want is to use cloning software like Carbon Copy Cloner.
My  advice is to rescue your personal files to a regular non-TimeMachine  external drive, Zero erase the ENTIRE drive and install OS X fresh and  update, then your programs from original sources and files from backup.
Then, make a bootable clone and you can copy that as many times as you want and each one is bootable.

  • How to create database link between oracle and SQL Server

    Hello Everyone,
Here i have Oracle Database 9i and SQL Server 2005 databases.
I have some tables in sql server db and i want to access from Oracle.
How to create a database link between these two servers
    Thanks,

    Thanks for Everyone,
I was struggle with this almost 10 days....
I created Database link from Oracle to SQL Server
    Now it is fine.........
Here i am giving my servers configuration and proceedure how i created the db link...@
Using Generic Connectivity (HSODBC) we can create db link between Oracle and SQL server.
    Machine (1)
    DB Version : Oracle 9.2.0.7.0
    Operating System : HP-UX Itanuim 64 11.23
    IP : 192.168.0.31
    Host : abcdbt
    Machine (2)
    Version : SQL Server 2005
    Operating System : Windows server 2003 x86
    IP : 192.168.0.175
    Host : SQLDEV1
    User/PW : sa/abc@123! (Connect to database)
    Database : SQLTEST (exsisting)
Table : T (“ T “ is the table existing in SQLTEST database with 10 rows)
    Prerequisites in Machine (2):
    a)     Oracle 10g software
    b)     User account to access SQL Server database (sa/abc@123!)
    c)     Existing SQL Server Database (SQLTEST)
    d) Tables (testing purpose) (T)
    Steps:
    1)     Install Oracle 10.2.0.1 (Only SW,No need of database) *(Machine 2)*
    2)     Create a DSN where your windows Oracle 10g SW resides *(Machine 2)*
Control panel >> Administrative Tools >> Data Source (ODBC) >> System DSN ADD
You can follow this link also.....
    http://www.databasejournal.com/features/oracle/article.php/3442661/Making-a-Connection-from-Oracle-to-SQL-Server.htm
    I created DSN as
    DSN name : SQLTEST
User : SA/abc@123! (Existing user account)
    Host : 192.168.0.175 (machine 2)
Already I have 1 database in SQL Server with the name SQLTEST
You can create DSN with different name also (not same as db name also)
    3)     Create a hsodbc init file in $ORACLE_HOME\hs\admin *(Machine 2)*
    Create init<DSN NAME> file
    Ex: initSQLTEST
    Copy inithsodbc to initSQLTEST
    And edit
    initSQLTEST file
    HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO = SQLTEST    <DSN NAME>*
    HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL = OFF*
    save the file....@
    4)     Configure Listener.ora *(Machine 2)*
    LISTENER_NEW =
    (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 192.168.0.175)(PORT = 1525))
    SID_LIST_LISTENER_NEW =
    (SID_LIST =
    (SID_DESC =
(SID_NAME = SQLTEST) *+< Here SQLTEST is DSN NAME >+*
    (ORACLE_HOME = G:\oracle 10g\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1)
    (PROGRAM = hsodbc))
    (SID_DESC =
    (SID_NAME = PLSExtProc)
    (ORACLE_HOME = G:\oracle 10g\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1)
    (PROGRAM = extproc) )
    :> lsnrctl start LISTENER_NEW
    5)     Configure tnsname.ora *(Machine 2)*
    SQLTEST11 =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = 192.168.0.175)(PORT = 1525))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVER = DEDICATED)
    (SERVICE_NAME = SQLTEST))
    (HS=OK)
    :> tnsping SQLTEST11
    If No errors then conti….
    6)     Configure a file *(Machine 1)*
    Cd $TNS_ADMIN ($ORACLE_HOME/network/admin)
    Create a file
    $ vi TEST_abcdbt_ifile.ora
    something=
    (DESCRIPTION=
    (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST =192.168.0.175) (PORT=1525))
    (CONNECT_DATA=
    (SID=SQLTEST))
    (HS=OK)
    $ tnsping something
    $ sqlplus system/manager
Your connected to Oracle database *(machine 1)*
    create database link xyz connect to “sa” identified by “abc@123!” using ‘SOMETHING’;
select * from t@xyz;10 rows selected.

  • Link  between LANDSCAPE AND R/3

hi gurus i have doubt. that what is the difference between DEV,QUALITY AND PRODUCTION SERVERS AND DATABASE, APPLIACATION, PRESENTATION.
initailly while we are in implementation we use DEV,QUALITY AND PRODUTION.
after impllementation DATABASE, APPLICATION AND PRESENTATION comes into picture. so in landscape good configuration sits in production server. so for end user point of u PRODUCTION SERVER WILL BECOME DATABASE SERVER OR NOT. pls tell me the link between landscape and R/3.
    will reward

    Hi Krishna,
I think you are trying to mix 2 questions.
Well you can frame the questions like this:
    1) Difference between Development, Quality and Production Servers
    2) Database, application and presentation layer.
Well the point1) refers to Landscape. What happens is when are working for any end to end implemetation or support project we need certain instances so we can have instances like Development, Quality and Production. we have got different instances because we need to test whether the changes made are working as per the requirements.
Point 2)  refers to R/3 technology.
SAP R/3 is based on a three tier client/server technology. Typically, it is made up of three functionally distinct layers namely: the user interface, business logic and database.
The user interface, which is otherwise known as the presentation server displays the interface for users' communication with the SAP system. It is often referred to as the SAP GUI. As a matter of fact, it is a program called sapgui.exe. The application server is where the business logic and data manipulation takes place. Data processing, SAP administration tasks and client request/feedback management are handled within the business layer. The database layer is synonymous to the database server and it typically acts as a data repository for tables and other database objects and structures.
Ideally, an R/3 system is composed of one database server, one or more application servers and one or more presentation servers.
    Hope this helps you.
Do award points if you found them useful.

    Rakesh

  • Link between universes and reports and universe name change

I want to change a universe name.
What is the impact on my WebI reports and DeskI reports ?
Is it risky ? Will the link between reports and universes be saved ?
Does someone know how the link between reports and universes works for WebI reports and DeskI reports ?
    Thanks

The Universe name is stored within the data context of the report so the report (deski and webi) refer to a Universe.
Changing the name of that Universe has a very bad effect: the reports usually stop working!
In order to change the name, you must manually visit each report and change the Universe associated with EACH QUERY IN EACH REPORT!!  It can be done, but it is time consuming.  And you'll need both Universe names in the CMS until you're done
Deski -> View Data, Definition, Click on the ... beside the Universe
Webi -> Edit Query, Properties, Click on the ... beside the Universe
