Link Failed - Check Network Connection

This past Monday, one of my sccm 2012 secondary site servers had to be taken offline because the building lost power for the day.  Since then, the db link state (monitoring -> Database Replication) for that secondary site has showed failed, even
though the site has been back online for over 24 hours.
When I run the replication link analyzer, I get this:
Connection failure detected between SCCM-CP1.hw.local and the SQL Server SCCM-PA2.hw.local\CONFIGMGRSEC.  Check network and firewall settings between these computers.
EDIT:  I forgot to mention the obvious: the network connection between the two sites is up and in excellent condition
When I view the replication status for that link, everything is green on the parent site tab, and ? on the child site tab.  The summary tab shows the following:
Site Replication Status
Parent Site:  CP1
Parent Site State:  Replication Active
Child Site:  PA2
Child Site State:  Replication Active
Global Data Replication Status
Parent Site to Child Site Global State:  Link Failed
Parent Site to Child Site Global Synchronization Time:  5/7/2012 10:32 AM
Child Site to Parent Site Global State:  Link Failed
Last Synchronization Time:  5/7/2012 9:10 AM
Global Data Initialization Percentage:  100%
Site Data Replication Status
Child Site to Parent Site State:  Not Applicable
Child Site to Parent Site Synchronization Time:

Mine has been doing the same thing, however, restarting the servers did NOT solve my issue.
I find my self in the same situation.
May i ask, what did solve your problem.

  • TS4268 i keep getting message that cant be set up - check network connection. went to Apple store. they could not set it up and referred me to this article which also doesn't solve problem. Keeps getting network message, even in apple store.  Help!!!!

I keep getting message to check network connection when i try to use face time or imessage. Went to apple store. They could not fix it and referred me to apple support which sent me an article to do the things the store had already tried. Store thinks it is a problem with the ID although the correctID and  p/word are being used. Just get message that cant sign in and check connection and try again. Happens in every location. Can anyone help me with this since Apple  can't?

Since you've tried the Apple Store, etc., even though you say your Apple ID and password are good, I suspect that's the likely issue.
I recommend double checking that with Apple.  This link might help:

  • Itunes is saying check network connection when i am connected to the internet already

hi i am trying to transfer music from my old ipod nano from like 2005. just got a new 8gb ipod touch from my brother and i have already transfered all of the songs from my nano to my itunes music library but everytime i try to sync the music to the new ipod touch it says "check network connection" and i have to "authorize" something. even after i installed the newest version of itunes 10.something, i registered the new ipod and everything and i am still having problems....please help!  called apple and siad i have to pay which i refuse to do.

Try these suggestions in this order.
Check Settings>General>Date & Time>Set Automatically>On. Make sure that the time zone setting is also set correctly.
If that didn't solve the problem, restart your iPad and try again. If that fails, reset your iPad and try again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • "Check Network Connection" - What Exactly Does the TV Check?

    Hi everyone
May I please ask, what exactly does the TV check when I choose "check network connection"?
In other words, when I click the "check network connection", what IP address / servers and ports does it communicate to? What checks does it do?
Because my TV cannot establish a network connection via settings, but the browser works perfectly well,
I would like to carry out the same checks of "check network connection" on my PC.
Then, if failed also on my PC, I would turn to my ISP with the results, as I believe it is the one to fault.

Assuming you're referring to the Airport icon in the menu bar, 'clear/empty' means Airport is turned off, gray bars means Airport is on but not connected to a network, and black bars means Airport is on and connected to a network. Other possible icon states are solid gray with a little computer inset, meaning you're connected to a computer-to-computer created on the Mac, and gray bars with an exclamation point (10.6 only), meaning connected to a network but not authenticated (e.g. wrong password for an 801.2X corporate/university network).
To your question, it's perfectly possible to be successfully connected to a network (black icon) and unable to access the internet. Situations like that would include the network requiring a proxy server, for which you haven't set up the details on in Network Preferences, or you're connected to an open network that requires you to enter information or agree to terms (e.g. a hotel network, where you need to put in your room number and agree to the charges before you can connect to the internet).

I get the above error when I try to activate iMessage or face time on my iPhone 5 iOS 7.0.2.

I too faced the same problem . I was using imessage in ios6 and when i upgraded , There were issues like ,

Steps to Resolve the i meeage issue
    1) Connect your phone to P.C and Back up your datas to P.C via I tunes
    2) Once the back up is complete . Connect your phonbe to Wifi or 3G cellular network and  Boldly go to Settings-->General --> Reset--> Erase all datas

    3) Iphone will reboot . it will take some time
    4) Then your iphone will start . Click next and you will be prompted for i message activation . Give your apple id and Sign in
5)Keep your phone connected . In P.C you will be prompted if you want to restore ( EOther wise go to I tunes --> File --> Device--> Restore back up
It really worked for me .
    Hope this is clear.

  • Trying to purchase ibook, says "an error occurred while trying to confirm account info, check network connection" .

says "an error occurred while trying to confirm account info, check network connection"
i am connected to network, iphoto is updated, what else can i try?

The following solution was reported by ASC member Troy Murray. I can't confirm that it works or that all the steps are necessary. Back up all data before making any changes.
    Step 1
From the iBooks menu bar, select
    Store ▹ Deauthorize This Computer...
Enter your Apple ID credentials when prompted and click Deauthorize. Quit iBooks.
    Step 2
Follow the instructions in this support article under the heading "Remove the SC Info folder."
    Step 3
Launch iBooks. From the menu bar, select
    Store ▹ Authorize This Computer...
and authenticate again. Click Authorize. Then select
    Store ▹ Sign In

How do I allow Skype to get past network?

You make no mention of which OS you are using.  The following are Yosemite instructions:
    System Preferences>Security & Privacy>Firewall>Unlock the padlock.
Click on the Firewall Options button.
Click the + (plus) button & do the necessary to add Skyp & to allow incoming connections.  When done, click the OK button & lock the padlock.
Restart your computer.  Report back the results.
