Link to Specific Lotus Notes Database View

Does anyone know how to create a link to a specific view in a Lotus Notes database using Dreamweaver CS4?
Thanks.

Hi nehde,
To connect lotus notes Database as Data server, you need to confogure the connection
Steps:
1. MII Menu -- go to Data servers and click new button for adding new connection, there it will ask for type of connection
2. Fill the all required fields which has mentioned in that screen.
         Name: Database Name
connector :  connection type automatic appeares
         connection type: Lotus
         Dateprefix :  '
         DateSuffix:  '
         DaysRetention: 7
         internalDateFormat: yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss (your wish)
JDBCDriver: Ask Lotus Adminstrater( he will provide)
         MaxretryCount: 5
Password:  Ask Lotus Administrator( he will provide)
         PoolMax: 100
         Poolsize: 1
         Retryinterval: 60000(upto requirement)
         SeverPackage: com.sap.xmii.Illuminator.connectors.<Type of Connection>
serverURL: Ask Lotus Adminstrater( he will provide)
         Timeout, UseCount: (upto you)
UserName: Ask Lotus Adminstrater( he will provide)
         Validationquery: select sysdate from dual
         Waittime: (Upto you)
Then save it and click the status. If its fine, it shows the status running or error.
If shows error, check the JDBCDriver, ServerURL, Username and password.
After all this, you can see this in Connection Status and in MII Workbench.
Thanks,
Kind Regards,

  • Link in lotus notes to view SAP document

    Dear All,
I have implemented the Z workflows through which I am sending the notification to all the cost centers mentioned in the invoice through rule(Agent determination:Function to be executed). This will cause notification to be sent to SAP inbox as well as lotus notes. Now my requirement is to have a link in the lotus notes to view the FI document & the invoice attached which has cause the mail to be sent to user.
    How can this be achieved?
    Kindly advice.

    Hello,
To solve this issue you have to make changes in the program RSWUWFMLEC. Please follow the below steps to solve this issue.
    1. Create a custom program by ZRSWUWFMLEC by copying the program RSWUWFMLEC.
    2. Find out the Language of the Appover set in the System.
    3. In the Mail sending function module you will get the language option. You have to set the language as the curent approver / mail recepiant's langue.
    4. Schedule a JOB using the report ZRSWUWFMLEC  and cancel the job which was running with the report RSWUWFMLEC.

  • Indexing Lotus Notes databases: missing LCPPN30.DLL

    Hi,
I'm trying to get MOSS 2007 to index some Lotus Notes databases. I've read through some blogs on how to do this (here, here and here) and also read the relevant chapter on page 227 from Patrick Tisseghem and Lars Fastrup's brandnew book "Inside the Index and Search Engines: Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007" (which I think is a must-have for anyone involved in SharePoint Search).
However, I cannot get past the stage where you have to run NotesSetup.exe (which is located in the SharePoint install directory). This executable depends on "LCPPN30.DLL", a DLL from IBM that according to documentation I mentioned above should be distributed with IBM's Lotus C++ API download. However, I've downloaded all Lotus C++ API versions from the IBM site (there were three at the time of writing), but they don't contain this DLL. The DLLs I found were "LCPPN30i.DLL", "LCPPN70.DLL" and "LCPPN80.DLL".
Looking at the filenames it looks like those DLLs I downloaded are all newer versions of the DLL I need. The version to which NotesSetup.exe is built doesn't seem to be available anymore. Is there any solution to this? I've already tried renaming the DLLs, but (as expected) this crashed NotesSetup.exe.

Yep, really hard to find! :(  The version that contains the file is

    Finally found it on

See the SAP Crystal Reports 2013 Product Availability Matrix (PAM), page 9 and download the doc linked to there. According to that doc, Lotus Notes is now only supported via ODBC only.
Also, the search string 'lotus crystal 2013' (search box in top right corner) brings up the following KBA:

    Hi,
If you are trying to access the tables from a different user other than the user who created the table, then you have to enable the "Require fully qualified table names " check box. This check box will be available when you right click the "Datasource name".
    Here is an example:
Lets assume Table1 is created by user1. If u try to access the Table1 using user2, you cannot access directly. Instead you need to access like "user1.table1".
    Hope this resolves ur issue.

  • Lotus Notes Database to Oracle

I have a simple application (workspace?) in Lotus Notes. I need to move that data into an Oracle database. Can someone help please?
I will need to keep moving this data on a weekly basis since new data gets added into this workspace.
Any sample code, or, simple tools/utilities that I could leverage?

    Hi
Try to use an ODBC driver to load the data from LN to Ora, or export the data from LN to csv and load it with SQLLoader to Ora.

  • Social Sharing only links to Publication URL not Web Viewer URL

I initially created a multi-folio app with the DPS App Builder (Social Sharing enabled per the instructions), but forgot to enable the Web Viewer on my account.
This, per the documentation under Enable Web Viewer in this article: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/digitalpubsuite/using/WS9293e1fb3b977c5c-6c5b4101331de1fd6a-80 00.html, causes all SHARED links to be the Publication URL. Oops!
I have since enabled the Web Viewer, republished my Folio AND re-generated my app, and the Social Sharing button in the App will only display the Publication URL, and not the Web Viewer URLs.
Do I just need to be patient?  It's been a few hours.
Also: is there any way to get to the Web Viewer URLs outside of sharing through the app?

  • Lotus Notes and SAP Business Workflow

    Hi Experts!
If you have an experience or if you have SPECIFIC notes on Lotus Notes/SAP Workflow integration, please share some views on these following questions:
    1. The SAP version we are using is ECC6.  The client wants to upgrade their Lotus Notes client to V7.0.1 which caters Workflow integration. <b>Do we need to have the Lotus Connector for this</b>? (Workitem should be processed using the Lotus Notes client and there is a link where the apporover can process the workitem.)
    2. What are the essential technical specifications for this this integration?
        a. Domino Server Platform
        b. Client Platform
        c. Domino Release
        d. Lotus Notes Client version
        e. Product/connector for the link.
    3. What should I use for configuring the notification scenario?
        a. Extended Notifications
        b. RSWUWFML2
        c. SWN_SELSEN
    Please provide answers on these.
Thank you very much.  I'm generous in giving points.

    Hi Akshay!
Am I right to affirm that according to what you've said, <b>there is no Lotus Notes Connector needed</b>  for Lotus Notes and SAP Workflow integration?
I actually haven't tested yet the Extended Notification, but from your reply, I think you are confident enough to tell me that it is possible to have a link in the Lotus Notes mail and then this link could bring you to the Document and process it using,of course, the Extended Notification.
I'm very thankful. Have a nice day. And also, please share some notes on how too use the Extended Notification. (--,)
    Best Regards,

  • Accessing Lotus Notes data from SAP

We need to fetch some user data such as their email address from a Lotus Notes database using the user's phone extension as a key. This could be from a BOR method used in a workflow or from an FM.
Is this possible, feasible, advisable? If so, what does it take?
Any help or ideas from experts on this forum will be greatly appreciated.

  • [SOLVED] Lotus Notes 32 chroot problem - howto

    Hi,
Edit 1: shortened... perhaps the length was a turn off
Edit 2: changed the title to be more specific (Lotus Notes vs. generic chroot issues)
    My plot:
    - followed the wiki instructions for setting up a 32bit chroot env so I can run IBM Lotus Notes on 64bit Arch
    - on the chroot, I have base, base-devel, xorg, xfce4, xf86-video-intel/vesa, xf86-input-keyboard, xf86-input-mouse, and everything that comes with doing 'yaourt -S lotus-notes-base' installed
    - also installed rpm so that I could install the Lotus Notes 8.5 trial in rpm format (has worked on previous Linux distros, so I stuck with rpm (over deb))
    - I am able to start Notes, but get a partial frame instead of an actual window (more next post)
One question is what exactly one needs to install to be able to run something from 32bit chroot. It is not exactly clear in the wiki. My gut after fiddling for a long time is that one needs all replacement libs that the program needs to run. This is how I've been approaching things.
    Thanks,
    John

    Got it!
Here's a howto for anyone who stumbles across this. I also plan to put it up on the wiki when I hear back from the maintainer I contacted.
    1. Follow the instructions for setting up a 32bit chroot on x86_64 Arch found HERE. In short, this means:
    - create /opt/arch32, setup pacman on the chroot, link the necessary files between /etc and /opt/arch32/etc and sync the chroot's pacman
    - install base and base-devel on the chroot
    - start the daemon with '/etc/rc.d/arch32 start' and 'xhost +local:'
    - add 'arch32' to /etc/rc.conf in the daemons section for future reboots
    2. Get Lotus Notes in rpm format for Linux
    - Grab the official version from Passport Advantage or your Notes admin
--- Get fixpack 2 from HERE (be sure to get the one for Notes, not Domino)
    - As an alternative, the demo version of 8.5 is HERE
--- Get fixpack 1 from HERE
    3. chroot into /opt/arch32
    $ sudo linux32 chroot /opt/arch32
    $ su your-username
###Everything from this point forward will assume that you are in the 32bit chroot. Be sure of this!!!###
    4. install yaourt
    - follow the instructions on the ArchWiki
    - if you run into issues with package-query trying to pull the 64bit version, look HERE
    5. install rpm
    yaourt -S rpm
    6. install necessary Lotus Notes packages:
pacman -S gdb tcsh libart-lgpl alsa-lib atk libbonobo libbonoboui gconf gtk2 libgnome libgnomecanvas libgnomeprint libgnomeprintui libgnomeui gvfs libice libjpeg orbit2 pango libpng libsm libx11 libxcursor libxext libxft libxi libxkbfile libxml2 libxrender libxss libxt libxtst font-bh-ttf audiofile esound gnome-menus libgail-gnome startup-notification gnome-desktop gtk-xfce-engine xterm
    - I use xfce. Without gtk-xfce-engine, the selection boxes and some other things didn't look very good. Perhaps the equivalent on KDE would be to install gtk-qt-engine(?) and on gnome to install something like gtk-engine-murrine(?). I don't have enough experience to know this, though.
    7. install lotus notes
    $ cd /dir/with/ibm_lotus_notes.rpm
$ sudo rpm -ivh --nodeps ibm_lotus_notes.rpm
$ sudo rpm -ivh --nodeps ibm_lotus_notes-fixpack.rpm
    8. add some custom libraries to /opt/ibm/lotus/notes
    - download THIS
--- if this link is broken at some future date, contact me and I can send the tarball myself (email list below in P.S.)
    - then:
    $ tar -xvzf notes_libs_karmic.tgz
    $ sudo cp libgdk_pixbuf-2.0.so.0 libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0 libgdk_pixbuf_xlib-2.0.so.0 libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 /opt/ibm/lotus/notes/
    - then do:
    $ cd /opt/ibm/lotus/notes
    $ sudo chown root:wheel libg*
    $ sudo chmod 755 libg*
    9. start notes
    $ /opt/ibm/lotus/notes/notes
    10. setup
    - should get a white screen where you accept the license by entering '1' and then pressing enter
    - setup your server and user id file
    11. post setup
    - you can remove xterm with 'pacman -Rs xterm' after accepting the license. It is only needed for that popup window
    - the getting started screen will not display properly and I have not figured out how to get it to stop showing up. Everything else I've played with in my short time thus far has worked: general email, calendar, a database...
    12. Other helpful references on Lotus Notes and Linux:
    - IBM Forum howto
    - Howto for Ubuntu
    - Another Ubunto howto
    - Sys requirements: this is how I put together the list above for which packages to install
--- I also created a list of the output from 'sudo rpm -ivh ibm_lotus_notes.rpm' which will given an error as Arch is not rpm based so none of the dependencies show up as being installed
--- This let me check deps first hand with a lot of 'pacman -Qo /usr/lib/filename' on the 64bit install to see what packages were needed to produce the libraries Notes wanted to have around
Good luck! I do hope to get this on the wiki so that it is preserved in better form that this post...

  • Remote Data Source Settings for Lotus Notes CWS

I have installed the Crawler Web Service for Lotus Notes on a box seperate from Machine hosting Portal Server. After that I did all the migrations successfully at the portal side as mentioned in installation guide. But while configuring Remote data Source ,in Authentication Page , i am not getting an edit box to specify the User ID file. Its just have edit box to specify password.
Its taking the last user id that was used in the Notes Client on that machine, or more specifically the KeyFilename setting in the Notes.ini file
How can i set the User ID File(to be considered).
    Moreover there is an error
An error occurred while validating the remote XUI service. Verify the Web Service settings, including the SOAP Encoding Style.
Can anybody provide pointers on configuring the Remote Data Source for Lotus Notes database
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,
I would check this with the Lotus Notes guys. If the mail is OK in SOST, then SAP is delivering the mail correctly. There is something wrong with the Lotus Notes client itself. I have seen this same problem and I have alos witnessed the HTML email to crash the whole Lotus client. (This lead to a situation that it was just easier to send the plain text emails.)

  • Lotus Notes Backup data .nsf file corrupted

    Hello friends,
One of my users backed up data (nsf file) of Lotus notes got corrupted. The file size is 4 GB. Now the user is asking me to retrieve the data (mails) and i am not able to find any utility.
Anyone having idea about any such free utility / tool to repair corrupt .nsf file.
    Thanks in advance.

Lotus Notes Database data corruption usually occurs when the software application or the operating system crashes while the .OND data file is open in memory. In most cases, headers or parts of the data file are not saved to disk causing the data
corruption or the application to fail. There are ways to recover all or part of your data file. U should immediately make 2 or 3 backup copies of the corrupted OND file(s) and stop using the computer except to send the file(s) for recovery analysis.
There is a very good tool NSF Repair Kit such is powerful that repairs & Recovers Lotus Notes NSF file & restores them in original format to any user-intended location.
    1. Make a new copy of the database and deselect Access Control List in the “Specify What to Copy” section of the Copy Database dialog box. This will bypass the corrupt ACL and create a default ACL that you can then modify as necessary.
    2. Replace the design of a mail database with a non-mail template and then do a replace back to the mail template, which has been known to correct corrupted ACLs.
    3. From the Administration client > Files tab, select a healthy ACL database where the ACL is similar to the one that needs to be replaced. Right-click and select ACL.Copy. Select the bad ACL database then right-click and select ACL.Paste. This
is an easy way to reset the ACL.
U may try to download and repair to link
    http://www.nsf.repair/
If all are failed, then go to ur Lotus dir and search for data directory and take full backup of archieve directory.
Or other source of solution your trouble can be at:- http://www.filerepairforum.com/forum/other/other-aa/lotus-notes/247-lotus-notes-8-5
    Hope this may help u!
