Links in Pages

When I click on a link it opens, but the Pages document closes. Word doesn't do this. I think it's probably a simple fix, but I don't know to do it. How do I keep pages open after clicking on a link that opens in Safari?

No version of Pages is a Word clone.
Whether I am in Pages ’09 or Pages v5.2.2, when I place a web page link in a document, that active link selection opens a browser window, but does not close the current Pages document. Same drill if I use an Email link, or in Pages ’09 only, another Pages document link.
However, lets say you want to dismiss the open window/tab in Safari that the Pages document link opened. You press command+W, but forgot to change your pointer focus from Pages to Safari. You just closed your open Pages document window.

Linking 3 pages in a smart form.

Hi!
I have created a smartform with about 5 tables in the main window. I need three copies of the same form with only the signatories at the bottom changing. U can say the last two rows of the last window in the smart form. Rest everything will be exactly the same. I created two pages and copied the details from the first page. Just the last window I have freshly created on each page. Now I am not able to link the three pages. Please suggest.

To link the pages just do like this,
right click on your main window of firts page,
select create,
select flow logic,
select command,
here in general attribute tab enable go to new new page check box, in the input give the your second page name,
then for third page do same as above,
finaly save and activate.

How can I link to pages in a 2 level popup index/selection tree with java script?

I can do a single level popup index using the java script below (#1) and link the selections to pages but to change to a 2 level popup index selection tree as below (#2) I can't seem to figure out how to link to pages. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

How to link Multiple pages in smart forms?

Hi experts,
am creating one smartform in that i have 4 pages each page is different from the other.
am linking the pages as
for page1 -
next page = page2
and create a command on main window in that go to next page(checked) page2.
similarly all the pages i have given
for page2 -
next page = page3
and create a command on main window in that go to next page(checked) page3.
but in output am getting only 2 pages only
will u help for this.

in page1

page2-mainwindow2-command
like this in all 4 pages i have given
but not getting the output of 4 pages
only getting the 2 pages
those are first page and the page that is connected to first page either it is 2nd or 3rd or 4th
how this am not getting the solution.

In Vista in was able to send a link or page from the file button on top, now I do not have this option. I don't know where to find this option or how to do this?

There is an option to "Send Link..." in the File menu. Firefox does not have a built-in send page by email option.

Well, you could trade it in for a white one!
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."

How to add an internal link on pages 5.0.1?

Could anyone please tell me how to add an internal link on pages 5.0.1.
I am making FAQ list, and I would like to make the first page of the document as a list of questions and when a user click on each question, it jumps to the answer (in the same document).
I found "Add link" tool but it allows you to jump URL or email only.
I was able to set the list of questions as an index page of "Table of contents" tool and jump to a question page by clicking each page number, however, it fails when I put a question in a table (I would like to place each question and answer in tables for a visual purpose).
It seems a jump by using "Table of contents" become invalid when the contents are placed in a chart. WHy?
Are there any way to solve this problem?
any advise will be appreciated.

You may have Pages '09 still in your Applications/iWork folder.
The T.O.C. does not index text inside objects which includes Tables.

How to create links in Pages through certain words or phrases?

I need to create links within a document for a college course I'm working on. For example I would need the word flu in a pages document to link to the site flu.gov. Does anyone have tips on how to do this?

The Table of Contents picks up selected named Styles in the text like Head 1, 2 etc.

Is it possible to link a page in a document to another page using hyperlink in Pages?
For example, if you have a 50 page document and you are on page 30, can u make a link so that if you press on it, it goes page 23?

Thanks...that was one of the things I first tried. I did a save as another document.
I also resized the image in PS so it would be at 100% of size, figuring that would help and I made the image box's background white instead of none, but nothing so far.
It almosat seems like it is coming from the origianl template file?

New page unexpectedly loses ability to go BACK to previous page after clicking on a link in page (not consistent), why?

Firefox 4.0 Vista 32 bit
I will have a tab open, and click on a link, new page loads. The Back and Forward buttons do not work. Usually it shows in history (unless I opened too many pages before clicking on link). This has happened several times.
It is not consistent - one time I used search bar and opened a Yahoo search page - clicked on search link and when I wanted to go back to look at another search link from the previous page- page would not load (BACK button dead). I clinked search again, clicked on another link and that time it allowed me to return to the previous page???
I am about ready to go back to previous version.

It's a good idea to try disabling Flash completely and see whether the problem continues. If it does, then my guess is incorrect. To test that, open this tab:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Plugins category
Here you can locate Shockwave Flash and use the Disable button. Keep this tab open for easy access when doing your test.

FrameMaker 11 on "Start New, Linked Web Page" in HTML setup

FrameMaker 11 doesn't let me use certain paragraph tags to save certain FM files into separate HTML files. After I checked the box "Start New, Linked Web Page", that item has a Y in the Reference Pages for new web page, but it was being switched back to N during the process of Save As HTML, right in front me. It worked for some other Paragraph Tags, however. Would someone please tell what I missed? Thanks!!

That's ok. I had the work-around by using the paragraph tag that worked,
so it's working now, although I'm still puzzled about the other tag.

Tabs linking to pages in 9.0.2

I would like to be able to link to pages from tabs in the portal page, is this possible?
I have several tabs (one for each department) and have lots of pages in each department. I want to be abel to create new pages from the templete, but this contains the banner and the tabs thus the tabs are added to the page which is displayed in a portlet. I can hide the tabs and the banner on the topon the sub page, but when i navigate to sub pages the tab do not show the globel links i want the tabs to still work as links at the top leave
I have atried to create a main page and add the department pages as portlets, but this creates an issues of tabs

You can create a dummy page that will redirect to the page in another application. The dummy page will have a pl/sql that will be processed On Load - Before Header. The pl/sql will look like....
