Liquid Analytics enables the sales force in real-time

Problem
The success of wholesale and manufacturing distribution operations largely hinges on the efficacy of sales teams that must deal with a host of pricing and product challenges. For the sales group, the biggest game changer is their ability to access and leverage insight into the customer’s behavior and historical buying patterns.
Due to the technological limitations of the past, the sales team was unable to access information about customers’ buying patterns, leverage new products, establish dynamic pricing, and set realistic goals and as a result would miss opportunities with customers or lose their faith altogether.
Even with these pressing needs noted and observed, not just any technology can be introduced to a sales team and expect to be adopted. This is because the unique characteristics of the sales force must be carefully considered in order to seamlessly integrate new technologies aimed at sales enablement.
Liquid analytics understands the field and the interplay between marketers, sales teams, and customers and uses this knowledge to inform its technology. The firm understands that the sales force operates primarily in the field and therefore does not have the capability to manually input data into sales tracking forms, or that sales teams with different products visit the same customers but do not necessarily work in tandem to leverage each other’s footprints. Without a foolproof means of measurement and assessment in the field, the disconnect between the sales and marketing teams is often heightened making set goals unrealistic for sale representatives.
Solution
Liquid analytics uses its understanding of the sales archetype and big data and predictive analytics to bring viability to its target industries when it counts most. The proprietary technology takes predictive algorithms and mobile tracking, visualizing the various components in a comprehensive, easy-to-use dashboard. For mobile sales representatives, valuable information can be easily searched on an account, and sales activity is easily logged to demonstrate ROI.
For wine and liquor sales representatives, the solution has been proven to do a number of things:
The technology uses algorithms based on history of sales which are able to forecast what will be needed and allows the sales team to make fact- based orders, save time on each customer account by avoiding duplication, and increase customer loyalty. In addition, access to inventory in real time allows the sales rep to deliver in a timely manner and avoid missed shipments by 95 percent.
The Liquid analytics dashboard allows representatives selling liquor, wine or beer to view one universal dashboard to note what sales tasks have yet to be done or have been completed and develop a workflow that collectively benefits all representatives on the account.
The leaderboard creates a gamification experience for the sales team meant to increase sales by incentivizing through potential conversion rates and goal reward system.
On an individual basis, representatives are able to log their hours and use the record to negotiate better terms. Logged hours also provide context as to whether a representative is spending too much time while profitability remains low, leading to new sales strategies.
The feedback loop between the marketing and sales team is closed as the solution generates real-time notifications about where media is used by sales team as well as categorizes product attributes that can be used for better product placement and targeted campaigns.

Thanks for this pointer.
I followed this link and enabled 0fi_gl_4 for real time reporting in R/3
What do I do now in BW side I already have a infsource that I am updating a DSO/ODS in BW. What do I need to do in BW side to ensure that the data in R/3 will flow through to BW.
Thanks

  • Is there support for the AC-1000 target real-time system?

    Hi,
    Is NI supporting the AC-1000 target real-time system? We've used MatrixX, SysBld, Autocode, and Realsim to compile, link, download, and run various control models on the target real-time system for interfacing with hardware. The AC-1000 has 2-3 processors running a pSOS Operating System, multiple I/O boards, and a MIL-STD-1553 bus. It's connected to an NT workstation via a LAN and a serial cable.
    So, any information regarding support and maintenance would be very helpful. Thank you for your time!
    Take care,

    United Defense, L.P.

    Although NI acquired MATRIXx, we did not acquire the RealSim hardware (AC-1000, AC-104, and PCI-Pro). Wind River retains the ownership of the hardware but is not supporting the product line. Wind River has made available the attached parts list for the RealSim hardware so that customers can self-service existing systems.
    NI doesn't plan to develop or support RealSim - and is directing customers who wish to continue to use this software/hardware to 3rd parties. The following NI Alliance members can provide RealSim support.
    iControl: www.icontrol-inc.com
    ADI: www.adi.com
    OPAL-RT: www.opal-rt.com
    NI plans to make it easy for customers to target NI hardware, including real-time PXI, with MATRIXx in the future. For information on P

  • Could I use two regular computer to achieve realtime communication using the Ethercat and Labview Real Time Module?

    Could I use two regular computers (one acts master , another one acts as slave using the Ethercat Internet Card) to achieve realtime communication using the Ethercat and Labview Real Time Module? if it could, what hardware should I purchase from the NI ?
    Thank you!

    Hi Xiaolin,
    NI doesn't offer Windows based Ethercat master or slave software. Only LabVIEW RT can run the Ethercat driver.
    However, you could use a LabVIEW RT target as an Ethercat master and use the Ethercat Internet Card with a slave PC (note: I think this will work from the Beckhoff description of the card you are describing. The card should integrate like any other non-NI slave. However I haven't tested the setup and don't advise saying it will work until you have tried).
    You can use any NI RT target with two ethernet ports as the Ethercat master. This could be a cRIO, PXI or RT Desktop.

    i want to be able to tweak the graphic equalizer in real time while recording - and have this have the audible effect written to the recording.
    At the moment i have to go into post-production and manually set the graph equalizer at various time points ...

    This won't be real-time as you record, but you could tweak the EQ in real-time after the recording thus:
    Record what you want to tweak into GB with no effects.
    Solo the track and output it into something like Audacity.
    Start Audacity recording, then play your track in GB as you make those tweaks. That's what Audacity will record.
    Get that file from Audacity and put it into GB, then you'll have that effect.
    Sorry if it's complicated, but that's what came to mind. Hope it works.

  • How to implement the Transfer Function in Real Time VIs?

    Hi all,
    I'm relatively new to Labview Real Time modoule and want to implement one Controller(not PID one) in Deterministic Loop! I have already designed discrete Transfer Function and searching for the way to build one Controller with it! Is it right to use the Simulation Loop instead of Timed Loop (in this case Deterministic loop) and implement the controller in it?! If it's correct so, should I use the same clock and Priod as Timed Loop?!
    It would be very helpful, if there is an Example about using transfer function in Real Time Loops!
    thanks for your help,
    Mohsen

    Hello mhmdi,
    Sorry I can't open your VI (looks like it is a new version of LV than I have installed).
    You're right - you don't need to convert to a difference equation if you have the CD&SIM Module which can take discrete time transfer functions directly. You don't need shift registers with this function, as it is effectively done internally. If you don't have CD&SIM discrete TF's can be implemented easily just in a timed (or while) loop with feedback nodes or shift registers to replicate each z-1 you need.
    Some more ideas:
    There are many configuration parameters and options with the Discrete TF VI - which you need to understand for your application and make sure are correct. Sometimes implementing in a basic form (timed loop and shift registers) allows you to see what is happening without any confusing options you might not need.
    Are you using the Discrete TF VI in a Simulation Loop ? You might need to think if the loop being used is appropriate for a Real Time application. Maybe the timing of the TF, the loop and the DAQmx data are not all suitable for each other.
     I'm not familar with DAQmx, so not sure about any specific real-time aspetcs of that.
    "if the sample frequency of the discrete transfer function in the timed-loop is at multiple integers of the sampling rate (e.g. 12000 Hz for tranfer function and 4000 Hz for sampling rate, 12000=3*4000), would it somehow improve the resolution of the controller command?"
    This could actually make things worse - but depends on your transfer function if it is a problem. Think about it this way - in the scenario you state the input signal going into the Discrete TF will only change once in every three samples, that means if your transfer function includes a 1-z^(-1) factor (i.e. a derivative) - that will be zero for two samples then jump up for the next sample. You'll observe a very jittery/noisy signal, but the noise is due to samples not being correct. This will also occur if the sample times are very similar but go in and out of sync where you may get the occassional sample that is the same and hence the occassional zero in the TF.
    In an application I had we had problems trying to get the data coming into a timed loop and the timed loop itself synchronise, and before it was fixed the control signal was very jittery.

    We hope your issue has been resolved, if you've found solution by yourself. you could share with us and we will mark it as answer.
    This high Deferred Procedure Call (DPC) latencies are usually caused by certain drivers, if it is caused by automatic maintenance, please re-check your task schedule which is marked as “when computer is idle”. As what has been suggested by MVP ZigZag, please
    use the Microsoft Windows Performance Analyzer from the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK) to identify the cause of any DPC latency spikes.

    DPC CPU Usage Summary Table will open containing a list of drivers/program. This list is already correctly sorted (by the Actual Duration column). The process on the very top of the list is therefore likely to be the cause of your problem.

  • Is there an 8.2 version of the local executeable for real-time?

    Hi all.
    Been working on some new software for LabVIEW real-time, using 8.2.  Our users like the way things were built around here circa v7.1 when we would build an executeable on the local PC.  When we ran it, it brought up the target selection dialog and would download and then run the application to the real-time station, displaying the user interface in the application instance on the local PC.
    Is there an equivalent to this build type in 8.2, or is it all remote panels nowadays?  Many of these old-school applications are being ported over to 8.2 so a rewrite to split the application into real-time and user display executeables would be a bit much.  I'm also hoping to avoid needing additional remote panel licenses in the frequent case where they have more than 5 windows open at once.
    Thanks,
    Dan

    Hi Dan,
    Thank you for contacting National Instruments.  In the more recent versions of LabVIEW, 8.0 to 8.5, this process is integrated with the project.  Therefore, there isn't an equivalent build type to that you have described in LabVIEW 7.1.  In this format a target VI along with a host VI is commonly used in Real-Time applications.  The host VI is not necessary, however if you desire to have a user display/interface, or significant data storage this should be done on a host VI to maintain determinism.
    If you do want to have a basic Front Panel on the Real-Time target, this can be accessed via Remote Front Panels.  However, from a built executable only one instance of this can be opened at a time.  Therefore, if you have a need to view this Front Panel from multiple points at a time, you can do this if the target VI is not a built executable, but merely run manually from the host computer.
    I hope this helps.  Let me know if you have related questions or need additional clarification.  Have a great day!

  • How to populate the address field in real time from backend?

    Hi Guys,
    I want to populate the address field in srm portal when creating Shopping Cart. I got the data by using some BADI functions. Now the problem is I am not getting the structure/table where I should add that address so that it can reflect in the address field of shopping cart.
    Can anyone help me out?

    Virendra Kedia

    Joe - Work backwards from the value generated during the execution of the trigger. You have the value there so you could save it into a package variable right then (create a package with a variable and assign the value to the variable). Then create a process on the page (after the DML process) to assign the value of your package variable to a page item. Then in the branch back to page 1, pass the item. (Or without messing with the branch, the process could simply assign the package variable directly the the page 1 item -- :P1_ITEM := my_package.my_var; ).
    An alternative would be to use the "returning into" feature of DML to capture the PK of the created record into an item. Then the next page process could use the PK to fetch the new row and get the dbname value for passing to page 1.
    Another option would be to update session state directly in the trigger.

  • /DSD/SL_COCKPIT - Change the Reference in the sales order items

    The requirement is to set each sales order items reference field (IHREZ) to a derived value when generating the settlement document. i want to know if anyone has done something like this before and what would be the best way of going about it?

    Thanks for the replies.
    @ A.L.V Ramana,
    Yes they all have confirmed qty. The one thing I noticed is that only the first item is being saved to table VBBE from which MD04 is getting sa sales documents. Is there any condition that must be met in order for this table to be filled except that if the item has reason for rejection or does not have confirmed qty?

  • "Waiting for real-time target (RT PXI target) to respond" error when the program waits interrupts

    Hi there,
    I have developed an application to detect interrupts generated by a electronic card and act in consequence. The program has been developed in labview but it calls a dll; that was created with labwindows. The dll is programmed to open the visa communication, enable events and install the interrupt handler and when an interrupt is detected, it reads the value of the different registers of the card and returns it to labview to visualize them.
    The problem is that when the program waits for an interrupt, a prompt appears with the message "Waiting for real-time target (RT PXI target) to respond" and the only option I have is to click on the button to disconnect from the pxi or just wait. If I wait and I generate an interrupt, the prompt disappears and the application visualize the data like it was expected.
    To wait for the interrupt the following code has been programmed in the function:
                    while (flag == 0)
                                    Sleep (1000);
    When an interrupt occurs, the value of flag changes to 1 and the function continue without any problem. I am not really sure, but probably here is the problem and probably this is not the best way to wait for an interrupt because the sleep function suspends the thread for the configured time, but at least the computing load in the PXI is between 0% and 1%. I was wondering if somebody knows how to wait for an interrupt without "lost" the communication with the PXI and if there is a better way to do it.
    Any answer will be welcome and thanks for them,
    Jaime
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hello Naity,
    First of all, in which thread runs the waiting process? Is it scheduled in another thread than the function setting the flag?
    It scheduled in the same thread that I use to configure the communications and configure the card. Anyway, here is the pseudo code of the function interrupt that I programmed under labwindows,.
    char* interrupt(void)
    1. Open visa communications
    2.Install handler interrupt --> status = viInstallHandler (instr, VI_EVENT_PXI_INTR, IntrHandler, VI_NULL);   // the function IntrHandler will be called when an interrupt occurs
    3. Enable event PXI interrupt
    4. Wait
    while (flag == 0)
                  Sleep (1000);
    5. Visualize the data coming from the interrupt (registers and values measured with the card)
    6. Uninstall handler interrupt
    7. Close visa session
    The interrupt handler function IntrHandler is called immediately when an interrupt occurs and the pseudo code is like this
    ViStatus _VI_FUNCH IntrHandler(ViSession instr, ViEventType etype, ViEvent event, ViAddr userhandle)
    1. Disable some functions of the card to avoid damages.
    2. Read registers and put them in a buffer
    3. Change the value of flag ---> flag = 1;
    In labview, I call the function interrupt with a call library function node (see the capture attached) and the program reads and saves the data from returned from the function.
    Secondly, I am not sure this method is the most elegant. You could for example register an event with the function and, insteand of setting a flag to 1, trigger the event and schedule it in another thread (if the function is thread safe). This could reduce your CPU Load even more and seem a bit cleaner to me.
    I've never used events before in labwindows but I will try to do it in this way. But anyway, I suppose that I should; somehow, wait the event to occurs in labview while the waiting for the event is programmed inside the dll...and probably the same prompt that i am trying to avoid is going to appear again, because I am not returning the "control" to labview (I mean, labview executes the dll and waits for the event to occur. Then the execution of the labview program is stopped in the call library function node executing the dll)
    Third point, which environment of development are you using?
    I am working with LV 2010 sp1 and Labwindows cv 10.0.1 and with the real time module.
    I did also another test, I divided the program in different functions, one to initialize the communication, another to wait until a interrupt has been detected and the other to obtain the data from the interrupt and close communications. With labview I call first with the call library function node the function to initialize, later I call inside a while loop the wait function like this
    int waitAseconds (double seconds, short stop_waiting)
    if(flag==1 || stop_waiting == 1)
    flag = 1; //to detect the stop_waiting button
    printf("flagAA =1 stop waiting = %d time = %d\n", stop_waiting, clock());
    return flag;
    else
    SleepUS(seconds*1000000);
    //a++;
    printf("flag a= %d stop waiting = %d time = %d\n", flag, stop_waiting, clock());
    return flag;
     and when the program detects an interrupt, the function returns to labview the flag and stops the loop. Finally, it reads the values and close communications.
    In this way, the prompt appears but after running the application for 10 or 20 minutes and also i checked that there is a time gap between the executions in the loop.
    Thanks for your reply and your help,
    Jaime

  • We have a PCI-6110S to run our VIs. But, we are planing to buy another card (PCI-6024E) to run real time PID vi. So, if they are installed at the same computer, would it be a problem for LabVIEW to run both of them at the same time.

    We have PCI-6110 S series installed in our computer. We are planing to purchase PCI-6024 E series card. They will be both installed at the same computer.
    1) I am wondering if we run both of them at the same time, would we have any problem?
    2) To run PID real time, can any E series of PCI card be used?
    Thanks...

    Hello Baho,
    1) Using Traditional NI-DAQ, there could be problems with the fact that the NI-DAQ driver is not multi-threaded; meaning that while waiting for one operation to complete, the driver could cause another operation to time out. On the other hand, DAQmx is multi-threaded, and would eliminate this problem. At the time of this writing though, DAQmx does not yet support simultaneous-sampling boards like the PCI-6110S. A good solution then would be to use Traditional DAQ for the 6110S and DAQmx for the E-series board, and they would by default run in separate threads.
    2) No, using a PCI E-Series board, the LabVIEW VI would have to run in a Windows OS and would not be Real Time or run deterministically. You can run the PID program in Windows, but the
    results could be inconsistent. The advantage of a Real Time is that the OS is deterministic or that the OS allows you to tightly control or determine the maximum time any function takes to operate. This kind of control of the maximum operation time is not possible with non-Real Time OSs such as Windows.
    If you would like to get set up with a Real Time System, I suggest you contact your Technical Sales Representative.
