  • ASCII Mode Connection & FTP LIST command

    Hi All,
I want to realize a simple Java FTP Client. At the beginning I tought to write a dir/file listing method, but I have no less difficulties to do it.
As RFC says LIST is the appropriate command to be implemented.
As I read RFC I should to open an ASCII Mode Connection but I don't know How.
Connecting some ftp Server and sending it a "LIST" command I receive these replyes:
331 User name okay, need password.
    230 User logged in, proceed.
150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for /bin/ls.
426 Data connection closed, transfer aborted.
So, after 150 I should receive directory content, but it doesn't work. On the other side, if I want to send "HELP" command, using readLine() method I can display all reply from server.
How can I make directory listing for my FTP Client?
    Thanks a lot...

I prefer fireftp, but yea thats what I use to do any sort of ftp with the crio. At the time I was testing it I was able to log onto the ftp server of the crio, list directory and do get and put operations. Good to hear its working fine for you though.
Looks like the device is having problems now (has become completely unresponsive) and is deployed 350 miles from here so we have some new problems to deal with. Maybe it was the device, I am not sure but I guess this is on hold until the device is back up.
    [will work for kudos]

  • "xm list" command shows wrong name

    Hi,
I have created a virtual machine called "testobi1" using VM Manager. And when I run "xm list" command then it shows the wrong name "50_testobi1"
    [root@test01 ~]# xm list
Name ID Mem VCPUs State Time(s)
    *50_testobi1* 1 1024 1 -b---- 0.8
    Domain-0 0 543 8 r----- 87.1
Any suggestion on how to correct *50_testobi1* to *"testobi1"*?
I have changed the name line in /OVS/running_pool/50_testobi1/vm.cfg file, restarted whole VM server but no success.
    Thank you for your help.

Actually I thought that I would connect to domain by given name in VM Manager. For example: * #xm console testobi1* But now I will have to remember prefix counter information which is auto set. what could be reason for such design?I suspect it's to ensure that all guests always have a unique name, but that's just a guess.
When I try to create domain manually on command line without VM Manager then it created domain name as given and did not prefix counter to it.Correct -- the prefix is created by Oracle VM Manager itself, as it adds the guest to the database. You'll notice that when you import a manually created guest, it will be given a prefix by Oracle VM Manager during the import process.

  • Formating RMAN "LIST" command output

I am running following command at rman prompt which has a output over 10 pages which I cant scroll back to see the entire output.
    RMAN> LIST BACKUP OF ARCHIVELOG ALL;
Is there any way where in I can use something similar to "set pause on" of sqllpus within rman.
One way I am achieveing this is by using cmdfile and logfile option in whicle connecting. But its not that feasible to write command file for each and every command.
    Pls advise...

You can try this to run the rman command and also you can have the options what you are looking for.
$ echo 'list backup of archivelog all;' |

  • Clear access-list command syntax?

hello all. running 7.2(2) on an ASA5510. in the Cisco documentation here:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa72/command/reference/c1_72.html#wp2032432
it seems to indicate that you can clear the counters on all your access-lists simultaneously with the clear access-list counters command, and that specifying a particular access-list ID is optional, however, in my ASA this does not seem to be the case, as i am forced to specify an access-list name. is this just a discrepancy in the documentation, am i misinterpreting it, or is there a way to actually accomplish this?
    thanks for your time.

I would say that is an error in documentation. I see no way of clearing ALL counters. I checked a couple of my firewalls (different versions) and I can only clear an ACL at a time.
    #clear access-list inside_acl counters
    HTH and please rate.

  • Missing cover art swipe-back to song list-command after update

Before when listening to music, you could swipe your finger to the right and the Touch would go back to the listing of songs. It seems after the last update this does not work anymore. Any tips? It makes it more difficult to use one-handed.

i'm not sure what you mean. when i listen to music, swiping my finger does nothing (other than when in cover flow, when it just changes to the next album.)
tapping the screen in cover flow brings up a list of tracks in that album.
tapping the list icon in the top right of the screen when NOT in cover flow will do the same.

However, access list 20 is constructed as follows:
    access-list 20 permit 0.0.0.0
    access-list 20 deny any
If you have a distribute-list statement within EIGRP but the ACL permits 0.0.0.0, does that make any incoming/outgoing updates passive in any way? The remote routers connected to the WAN have no passive/no passive configuration parameters. Only the core WAN routers do.
    Please advise.

Marking a remote stub does not, today, restrict what routes are advertised to the stub router, they just limit the queries to the stub routers. So, you'd still need the hub side distribute list to block the routes out to the stubs. A distribute list doesn't block queries, by the way, it just limits knowledge of routing information, which impacts how far a query will go.... You should definitely make the remotes stubs to reduce the query range, in other words, even with this distribute list configured.
At any rate, there is a feature planned for the future to make it where you could turn on an option at the stub router to make the hub router automatically filter everything but the default out.
    HTH....

I had a similiar problem, though years ago. It was to have a java program execute any other. Lately, I've had to have a java program running on a unix machine execute a shell script. Entirely two different scenarios. I'm not sure what you will need for your app, but look into this:
Java Native Interface for executing C/C++ code.
C/C++ Code for launching the program you need to run.
    java.lang.Runtime(?).exec(....)
With a combination of that stuff, you can make a launcher for any os that has Java running on it, and with Runtime, you can exec() pretty near any sort of unix shell or app command you'd like.
    Good luck.

  • Jdb in java 1.3.1 not listing source file...

    Hi,
I'm trying to use the remote debugging option Xdebug for my server. If I attach using jdb -attach, I'm not able to list my source file using list command. It says Source file not found. I tried various means, -Denv.class.path, etc. nothing works. the use command is always showing "." I'm able to attach put breakpoints, stop the server code etc. please help.

it finally worked if I start the jdb from the ROOT dir. Then it takes the class path for the sources. But still, changing the "sourcepath" inside jdb is of no help.

  • Edit Distribution List doesn't work

Before printing a group of envelopes, I used the Edit Distribution List command to make sure the correct addresses were in bold face. I OK'd the list, then printed the envelopes. The number of envelopes to be printed was larger than the number I wanted to print, so I check in preview & discovered that in fact all addresses, not only those in bold in the distribution list, were to be printed.
How can I prevent this from happening?

How can I prevent this from happening?
What you're describing is not abnormal; you seem to misunderstand what the Edit Distribution List command does. It does not let you choose which contacts to print or anything of the sort; it lets you edit contact information. So unless you remove or delete a contact from the group that you're printing, they will all print.
You can read more about that in the Help document for it.

  • Win32 API to get cluster List from domain

    Hi ,
we are using NetServerEnum API to retrive the list of cluster from domain. But it failed with error 2127 on windows 2008 server and the cluster /list command also failed with same error.
But if we pass domain name to cluster .exe then it works.
So is there any win32 API other than NetserverEnum which will give the list of clusters in a domain.

    Hi,
can you also use powershell here?
    Get-Cluster -domain yourdomainFQDN.com
This will give you all failover cluster in the specified DNS domain.
    Hope that helps.

  • Sudo ipfw list open port?

So i did a "sudo ipfw list" in the terminal window and i got an open 63353 port. Naturally, I assumed that since my P2P software was just opened, and I said yes to the Leopard app firewall, it was this port number that was assigned to the P2P app.
Now, I went into my router and also opened up the same corresponding number there (both tcp & udp).
Still I'm getting a message saying the port is stealth.
Am I correct in assuming that the Leo app firewall did open 63353 for P2P or does it conceal open ports from a sudo list command?
Also, is the app firewall stealthing its open ports too? This would mean that if the router is set to stealth and app firewall is stealth, I get a double stealth port? huh does this make sense? I have never had to remove the "stealth ports" from the router before. There has been no prob on that end.
Any help from apple would be greatly appreciated.

I only enable my firewall on my laptop as it moves around and joins many different networks. That being said I have locked it down using the Application Firewall and IPFW.
However my desktop computers in my office rely on the firewall my router provides. I use little snitch to firewall my outgoing connections and that is enough security for me.
I will turn it off completely and just run the firewall on the router and hope it works like it use to. thx all.
If you turn it off you can also flush out any IPFW rules with the command
    sudo ipfw flush
