List view in Calendar is gone.  Can it be re-established with iOS7?

Can teh list view in Calendar be set up in iOS7?

Open Calendar and tap the magnifying glass icon. There's your list. Now you can scroll down and get the details of the appointments you have next week and beyond. You may also be wondering about the Week view – this is accessed by turning the iPhone on its side and viewing in Portrait mode, the same way as it worked in iOS

  • Setting list view in calendar

I was very disappointed when I lost "list view" for Calendar on IOS 7.0.  But when I upgraded to IOS 7.1, I noticed the old "list view" was back for Calendar.  A welcome change.  But now that has changed again, I get what is called "combo view", a half screen of graphic calendar and the bottom of the screen lists the day's events.  For those of us who liked the simple list view, this is really annoying.  Is there a way to get it set once again to "list view"?

Icons on top are return to multi-month view, see today's events ,Search and Add event.
What you call "See Today's Events" is the list view button.  If you are viewing the month, then this button will show you "Today's Events".  Tap it again to stop showing "Today's Events", then you can tap on a day to go into that day view and tap the same button at the top listed in the graphic as "View list of events."  There you will see the list view.

  • IPhone calendar + List View All Calendars option (MobileMe)

    Hi all,
I'm trying to fix a problem, which maybe there for some time already, in the iPhone Calendar. I'm using MobileMe to sync contacts and appointments. All my devices are up-to-date to the latest levels of firmware and software.
I have a normal calendar in iCal and some subscribed calendars. Ther's no difference in both type of calendars.
    This is what's happening.....
    - Individual calendars are all looking perfect in List, Week and Month view.
    - All Calendar option is looking good in Week and Month view.
    - All Calendar option is bad in List view mode.
When selecting the last option the Today date is changed a couple of days (Today = Wednesday 10-3), but also appointments are on different days. For example the soccer games on Saturday (6-3) and Sunday (7-3) are now changed to Tuesday (9-3) and Wednesday (10-3).
I have the same calendar on my other iPhone and nothing weird going on over there?!?
    Does somebody have a clue?
PS. The calendars for this (MobileMe) user are all correct on the other Apple devices.
    Thanks!

    Hi All,
Got a message from cini007, but I get an error message when I want to reply to that message. I have copied the "solution" below.
I have tried this, but it's not working. The only thing happening is it has changed the dates randomly.
Although I have been looking for the auto shut-off option. I can't find that option only in the alarm clock options?
cini007 posted "Re: iPhone calendar + List View All Calendars option (MobileMe)" in "iPhone calendar + List View All Calendars option (MobileMe)" on Mar 9, 2010 8:20:57 AM.
I had Genius Bar visit with same issue—no go (was advised to reset to factory settings).
BUT here is the SOLUTION as it happened again:
    1. set auto shut-off to never
    2. turn OFF MobileMe syncing for calendars on the iPhone (from Settings menu)
    3. wait for calendar entries to be removed—takes minutes if you have several calendars
    4. hard reset iPhone (press Home and On/Off at the same time for >5 seconds), and wait 2 minutes (about the time to reboot)
    5. restart iPhone
    6. turn ON MobileMe syncing for calendars on the iPhone (again, from Settings menu)

  • Why can't I get list view in calendar?

I can't get List View any longer in Calendar on my iPhone. Why?

IF you are running 8.x iOS then on the top right side are three icons - three bulleted horizontal lines, search and then a Plus sign
If you click on the three horizontal line icon you will see the list
    Which iOS are you on?

  • List view in calendar

how do you make it so that past events don't show up in the list view without going back and deleting those events?
also is it possible to not have it show the current date in the list view?
otherwise, i think this is the best looking calendar in a phone to date.

Did you happen to make the even reaccuring? Because off the top of my head that' the only way I can see that you'd be having old events still showing.

  • Some Events Don't Show Up in List View on Calendar

I love using Calendar on my iPhone 4S.  I like the List View, where I can everything I have for that day.  However, I've noticed a glitch:  some events which are on my calendar for that day when you view the day by tapping on the day of the month, don't show up when you tap on "List".  I don't get it.  I can't figure it out for the life of me.
Does anyone know why that happens?

Are the events missing subscription events?
I recently took the big leap into the total wireless syncing thing. And unfortunately I have found that anything that is subscription won't sync from iCal on my macbook pro to MM or my iPhone 3G. And when I say subscription, if there are any calendars that you have subscribed to in iCal that show up on a separate list, in 10.5, they will not be included in the syncing. However, there is one subscription of moon phases that ended up in the regular part of the list and it is syncing to my phone and MM just fine.
This is upsetting to me because I would like very much to subscribe to my wife's calendar to have on my iPhone and on MM and they won't be showing up because they are not supported. I checked with AppleCare on this and they told me that Apple is not allowing subscriptions because of the possibility of date redundancies mucking up the servers.
    Anyway, I hope this helps.

  • Dates wrong in List View of Calendar

Everything is entered correctly and shows up correctly in the Month and Day view of the calendar app on my iPhone. When I go to List view, however, events appear on the wrong dates! Very frustrating!! Anyone have a solution? Thanks.
    Jill

Still no answer? For instance, on my calendar, the School Board Meeting is September 2nd, as entered. In List view on my iPhone, it says it's August 31. Ha??? Anyone else have this going on or an idea of how to solve it? I used to depend on my list view to see what was coming up, but can't any more.
    Thanks!

  • List view on Calendar not showing

i can see my calendar that is sync with mobile me on month and day view. the list view shows empty. any suggestions?

Try going to another view and then switching back to list view. I noticed that it always disappeared a couple of seconds after opening the app, but always came back a couple of seconds later. Now it simply disappears and doesn't come back until I switch views. Noticed it after upgrading my 3G to 4.1.

  • No more list view on calendar!? SO DISAPPOINTED.

Is anyone else having trouble adjusting to the new calendar? I feel like I'm missing something. I REALLY preferred the simplicity of the list view. There are a few features I really like about the new calendar and overall I'm happy with the new iOS, but the calendar is NOT cutting it. Anyone????

Press the magnifying glass in the top right.
Leave feedback, as many others have about this change in the calendar:  www.apple.com/feedback
You can also see the list view in your notifications center by swiping down from the top of the phone.

  • HT4946 "List View" in Calendar!!??!?!?!?

Am I the only one who wants "List View" back in the new Calendar App?!?!??  This is sooooo frustrating!  In iOS7 when it was only available under the "search" option, that was annoying.  But now, with iOS7.1, Apple has removed it all together!!!

Thank you for your nice reply. Well, I didn't realize this particular thread was about this List View problem in the iPhone -- I've spent about half an hour reading similar complaints in other threads about iOS 7 in general.
The Search icon is a Search icon, not a List View icon for the List View function. The Search icon annoyingly opens up the keyboard, which I don't need to have a look (View) of upcoming events. Secondly, the pseudo list view that appears does NOT code the events by calendar color.
I bet you a 128GB iPad Air that this limitation is annoying to, yes, thousands of iPad users. It's not arrogance, it's purely statistics, since there are literally millions of iOS 7 users in the world.
Briefly, instead of restoring a very simple List View option, what Apple is telling thousands of customers is: "You don't NEED a list view in your iPad anymore. But if you believe you do, click on an icon which is not for a list, but for Search, and which will open a keyboard that you don't need, close the keyboard, and try to guess which calendar the events that will appear belong to --  personal, professional, holidays... you name it!  However (Apple continues) if you have an iOhone, you DO NEED a specific icon for an event list. Or, else, waste your time trying to find a roundabout way to do what a few months ago, in the Old Times of iOS 6, you used to do with a click".
That's Apple's (il)logic for its mistakes, and the rest is just justifications.

  • List view in Calendar App

    Morning.
Is there a way to enable Calendar App to show the end time of events in list view?
    Kind regards, Friedrich

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

  • What happened to list view in calendar with iOS 7

It seems like my favorite view is now longer there. Am I missing something?

The only way I have found to deal with the calendar is to click the search icon in the corner of the calendar window and you get a list view of each day. It's better than nothing

  • Problem with List View in Calendar

    Hi,
On my iPhone 4 running 4.3.3, I can't see any entries older than one year under 'list view'.  Ironically, the entries appear under Day and Month view so I know they are there, but nothing older than one year under List view.  I have tried resetting to no avail.  I sync via iTunes (not mobile me) but there is nothing that points to why only one view on my iPhone would have this restriction.  Please help.
    Thanks

Here's a workaround that I discovered: duplicate a previous individual event that printed correctly, i.e., without the empty "Location:" line shown; then edit that information for the new event as desired -- an ugly solution, but it works!

  • Where's the list view in Calendar?

I want my list view back in Calendar...

I found this and it worked for me:
The list-only view in Calendar is still available, but getting to it is different in iOS 8.
From the scrolling month view (where you have a continuous view of calendar months where each week is a row), tap on any day (the number) to bring up the list-only view. You'll see a scrollable list of calendar entries, and the icon to the left of the search button at the top will have changed to look like a list. Tap that icon and you'll get a graphical day view of appointments. Tap it again to return to the list-only.
If you're in the scrolling month view and you tap the icon to the left of the search button, you'll switch to a combination of month-and-day's appointments.
I found this very confusing at first, but it's not any more difficult than the old way (once you get used to it).

  • How do I show List view in Calendar?

I just switched to iOS7. I guess it will take some getting used to, but I don't like it so far. In the Calendar app, I always used the "List" view, but some clever person seems to have removed it. I want it back!

Never crossed my mind – that is a very strange interface "feature", I must say. But it works. Many thanks for this Mutaz.kh!
