Little question about Creative Labs Zen Nano P

I have a Zen Nano Plus but I have trouble with it
My computer doesn't find him
What can I do?
I'm running Windows 98

Hi Sara,
The minimum system requirements for that player are:
Microsoft? Windows? 98SE/Me/2000/XP
If you have Windows98 (not SE), then that won't work correctly, it does not have proper USB support.

  • Playlists - CREATIVE LABS ZEN N

    Hi,
I` am about to buy a CREATIVE LABS ZEN NANO GB and wants to ask if its possible to create playlists on this mp3 player?

No, unfortunately this player doesn't support playlist. If you're looking for playlist capable player, you can look at the Zen MicroPhoto, Zen Micro, Zen Vision, Zen Vision M,etc. Which other player are you interested in? Post them up and others should be able to advise you along too.

  • Creative Labs Zen

    I just purchased the C 2GB.
This is in the list of supported player in
    http://www.oclc.org/audiobooks/techspecs/devices.htm.
I am using WMP, latest firmware .2.03.
I have downloaded audio books from Netlibrary (protected wav files).
I can open the files in WMP and real player but once I tried to copy the files (sync) to Zen player using WMP and realplayer or just right click copy to Zen, I get an unsupported file type. Same when using the Creative Suite.
I tried looking for others who may have the problem but it seems like noone has the same problem.
    MP3 Audio books sync/copied OK.
Any more ideas? (I have a Cowon D2 - synced OK - but it isn't mine)
Please help...or I might just have to return this.

I don't think I have ever seen a DRM WAV file on NetLibrary. I have only seen WMA or MP3 files. Contact them & ask if the file is supposed to be WAV or WMA. Also check that the clock on your player has the correct time & date.

    4) if not would i be able to burn my songs from itunes and use the c.d. to put them on my creative?
thank you so much i'v looked all over the internet and i could't hide any answers.

. There are MANY transmitters out there. I recommend searching back for past threads with recommendations.
    2. Yes, if they are in a suitable format.
    3. I already gave you a link in a previous question to a thread all about this. Please don't post duplicate questions.
    4. With iTunes you either need to burn the tracks to a CDRW, then convert to MP3/WMA, or use a program like JHymn to convert (Google JHymn).

  • Question about Creative Earbuds

I just bought a pair of CREATIVE LABS EP-640's for my new zen. I had been using the Sony MDR-EX75's and wow, what a nice difference. My question though is are EP-630's really the Sennheiser CX300 and the EP-640's really the Sennheiser CX400? Pricing is amazingly the same...

    fr0ggyguy,
The Zen V player does not has any memory expansion slot for you to add in extra memory card.
As for the size of Audible content, I will leave it to others to advise you as I'm not a Audible user.

  • Creative Labs Zen NX Nomad Jukebox and Vi

Hey all- Hope I can find some help here.
I recently got a new system, and it is running Vista Premium. I have an older mp3 player that I got from my brother-a 30GB Zen Nomad NX Jukebox. I have installed all of the (very old)software on the CD that came with it. However, my problem is whenever I hook up my MP3 player, it says that there isn't a driver installed. I have gone on the download page and downloaded all of the driver software and installed it, but I still have this message come up.
When I check it on my computer, it says that my player isn't connected. Any help?

Creative Labs, with their large corporation mindset, apparently decided to pursue an ill-advised Marketing Strategy by not releasing a needed Vista driver for the many thousands of Zen NX players out there. This is no doubt due to GREED, because they seem to want to be selling additional thousands of their more recently released MP3 players.
No good for them. I'm confident a huge base of professional software developers will stop recommending Creative products to their corporate base due to this arrogance . . .

  • Questions about buying a Zen Visio

Im thinking about buying a Zen vision M but i dont want to buy it and have creative come out with a new better product like 3 months down the line because it is alot of money and i dont want that to happen, is there a new player in the works already to surpass the features of the vision M or am i pretty safe buying it, and about the screen, what are your expierences with the screen , do the movies look good? alright thanks in advance for any responses.

in regards about Creative coming out with another player, i wouldn't know but then again i wouldn't put it past them. but in terms of features, the Vision M has it all so i don't really see why they would need to come out with another one?as for the screen, it's superb, i've already watched a couple of movies on it. i will say however at certain angles, the screen is dark, but if you look at it from head on you're perfectly fine.basically if someone is sitting beside you about foot away, it will appear dark for them, but as long as they are right beside you, it's fine

  • Two little questions about ROWID

    Hello friends at www.oracle.com ,
as we know, each time we insert a new line, Oracle creates an unique ROWID for that line. I have 2 questions about ROWID:
    1. Is there a way for me to obtain ROWID value at the moment of insertion, other than doing a SELECT rowid FROM (table) WHERE (primary key inserted values) to obtain the ROWID that was generated for that line?
    2. If, for any reason, we have a so big database that all ROWID possible combinations are over, how would Oracle handle such situation? I believe it's something quite rare to happen but, anyway, there's the possibility as Murphy Laws have taught us :)
Thanks for all answers, and best regards,
    Franklin Gongalves Jr.

    1. The (quite new) DML RETURNING clause allwos this:
Eg. insert into bonus values ('Bill', 'work',100, 4) returning rowid into :x
This works in 8.1.7 and 9.0.1 I don't know about earlier.
    2. A rowid includes the physical address of the data. Before you used all the rowid's, the database wouldn't be able to hold any more data. The limit is big, but not infinite. If you hit it, try going to distributed databases using database links.

  • Question about Creative Zen Xtra (60 G

Hey guys, I am seriously considering buying a Creative Zen Xtra, but I had one question: Does the Xtra play Mp3 VBR's? I have a lot of these, and I want to make sure they are compatible. Thanks, cya.

Yes, all Creative's players play VBR files.

  • Questions about Creative Zen MP3 Players.....which one to b

I had a Rio Carbon 6GB and I really love it (until it died on me), and I heard that Creative Zen 8GB, Creative Zen Micro 8 GB, Creative Zen V Plus?8GB are good choices to buy? I have readed all reviews from PC World, CNET, MSN, and all three sound good, but what are main differences between them that I need take in to consideration before I buy? I also I have read that you can replace the battery in all of them....is this true? What is the battery life before it needs to be replaced and how much? Thanks

If you listen to a lot of audiobooks, then I personally recommend the Zen V Plus 2, 4 or 8 GB. It doesn't have a user replaceable battery.
The battery is is built into the player. The audiobooks and albums seem much easier to find and use than on the Zen Micro. You can find these players on the Creative Savings Center refurbished for about half the price of a new player. (The Zen Micro, you can find on eBay used The refurbished Zen V Plus Players I have received when ordering, have been brand new and work just fine. They have a 90 day parts/labor warranty. I consider the 2GB Zen V Plus to be a throw-away(when or if it breaks after the warranty) at $35.99 plus shipping.

  • Question about Creative zen micro 6

I am debated wether to buy this mp3 player. But I need one that comes with an adapter so you can power the battery anywhere and not just on your computer with USB. Does anybody know if this mp3 player comes standard with such an adapter?
    Regards,
    Mieke

Thank you for your quick anwser. I know that the zen photo doesn't have it. There it is stated more clearly. As I am on a tight budget I would prefer to buy one that does include an adapter.

  • Questions about Micro and Zen Sl

    Hello,
I'm considering buying either a Micro or a Zen Sleek and have a few questions...
) Does the above players still require a dedicated/special driver on XP like the older players did (i.e. Zen NX) ?
    2) Can the players be used as a driver-less memory dri've like a USB memory stick, or does it need a driver for this (like Zen NX)?
    3) How is Creative's PC/Windows software these days - is it still bad and better to use 3rd party software like Red Chair's ?
    4) Does the players still require 00% accurate tag info. to properly cataloque the songs on the player or can songs be manually arranged and browsed in folders like on the PC ?
    5) Can both Sleek and Micro be charged thru the USB cable ?
    That's all, thanks
    /Beano

. For the Micro, not with the v2 firmware. See the FAQ post, specificailly "the difference between the Zen Micro v and v2 firmware". It seems that the Sleek doesn't have MTP firmware yet, I can't quite make head or tail of the posts about it.
    2. Again for the Micro, it has a USB mass storage mode. You can set up to 4Gb of the disk (the partitioned space has to be free of audio files) to work in this way. For the Sleek I'm not sure.
    3. It's a matter of taste. I don't have any big problem with MediaSource, but there's plenty of options out there. See the FAQ post.
    4. Yes, accurate tag data is vital.
    5. Micro definitely. Again with the Sleek I'm not sure.

  • Questions about the Jukebox Zen X

What is the difference between the Jukebox Zen Xtra and the Apple iPod? I'm just doing some research to find out which is better adn what the differences are. Also, can you transfer music straight from a CD player to the Jukebox Zen Xtra, or do you have to download the music to your computer first? If anyone has any information on this, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks and God bless.
    Sincerely,
    Mariah

I have tried the iPod and i currently own a Zen.
One major setback so far i have found witht he Zen is that it's not very shock resistant and unlike the iPod, it does not have a lot of anti-skip time.
One big difference for me is the scroll button on the Zen. When i tried the iPod, i really liked the wheel scroll thingy on the fron of the player. Its simple, fast and painless.
The Zen has a scroll thingy on the side. Its smaller than a finger tip and it's not so very easy to use. Also it digs into the skin and it hurts after continous use. It also doesn't feel very durable...but only time will tell.
The Zen can(unlike the iPod) play WMA WMV files. Much better sound quality, although a little bigger than mp3s.
Big plus for the Zen is the removable battery. A non-existant feature of the iPod.
The Zen does not come with a docking station, which the iPod does.
Another difference is the price. Sort of obvious there, but considerable.
I dunno...so far i have a few problems with my Zen, but i think that's specific to mine alone. If i was you...i would save a hundred bucks and get the Zen...but make sure u keep that store receipt...just in case.
Also, about your transfering music question, I am currently(as i type this) transfering from a CD straight to the player. It rips the CD first and then it sends it to the unit.
Depending on computer speed and whether you have USB 2 or not, it can take less than 5 minutes for 5 tracks.
