Live Auction's jCO RFC connection to SRM is NOT successful.

hi to all,
can any one help me about the configuration of RFC of live auction cockpit?
i have followed the inst guide, but i always keep getting this message.
RFC Error using locale en

RFC Error using locale de
Your RFC connection between Live Auction and SRM has failed. Please verify the following:
Did you configure your SRM jCO setting (eg: jco.client.ashost, jco.client.sysnr etc) in Live Auction's properties?
Is the user specified in jco.client.user property exist in SRM with the correct role and password ? Please change the user to type dialog and try to logon via SAPGUI before changing it to communication user to ensure the user is NOT locked.
Did your SRM R3 has the code page installed that are specified in jco.client.lang ?
Please check the J2EE engine's log file to see more details of the error. Please refer to J2EE's documentation on how to view the log files.
thanks in advance

Hi Ranin,
Have you checked the note 1593439 where it mentions:
If you are using Live Auction JAVA, you would additionally be required
to assign the Authority object S_RFC to the RFC user being used for
establishing a JCO connection between LACWPS JAVA Server and the SRM
ABAP backend system with the following values. This authority is not
needed in case you are using Live Auction on ABAP in SRM 7.0 Enhancement
Pack 1 (SAP SRM 7.01) or higher release.
       Object            Field                Value
       S_RFC             ACTVT                16
                         RFC_NAME             BBP_LA_BIZAPI
                         RFC_TYPE             FUGR
Perhaps this is the problem?

  • RFC connections in SRM 7.0 = ERP EHP4 system setup

    Hello,
In SRM 7.0 there is a lot being said about the combination with an ERP EHP4 system. I thought that certain capabilities of SRM <> ERP EHP4 in the area of RFC are not supported anymore. SAP is forcing XI/PI for this.
When we migrate our R/3 system to EHP4 will we still be able to use the following RFC / iDOC communications?:
    - Purchase Request (R/3 > SRM)
    - Purchase Order (ECS, SRM > R/3)
    - Invoicing (SRM > R/3)
    - Confirmations (SRM <> R/3)
Anybody has any experience with an EHP4 back-end system? Are there already any plusses for SRM?
    Kind regards,
    Tim

    Hi Rchard,
SAP promised to release RFC functionalities instead of the current PI obligation for certain new functionality only available on SRM i.c.w. ERP EHP4 with the release of SRM EHP1.
But what i'm asking is: with an SRM 7.0 (without EHP1, isn't available yet..) can we still utilize RFC for document exchange with R/3 (f.e. Purchase Orders) or does ERP EHP4 require PI?
    Kind regards,
    Tim

  • RFC Destination (Remote Logon)is not Success

    Hi All,
I have created one RFC Destination in SAP R/3 towards XI.
I have given the IP of XI and System Number
And also provided all the details like User, Pass, client Language.
After this i saved and clicked on Connect Test, it is Success.
Then now i clicked on Remote Logon. It is not going to another page, it is still showing the same SM59 page, No change......
    What could be the problem
    Regards
    Suman

    Hi Chandu,
R u getting any error in while doing the scenario?
The scenario works even it is not login into the XI Remotely.
Provide the valide username and password in the SM59 tr.code.
User need authorization to login to XI remotely. Ask the Basis guys.
If you want to remotely login ask the basis guy to create the new user and provide the user detailsin the SM59 and test it.
If you are getting any errors let me know.

  • RFC connections between Iseries (SRM) and Windows 2003 TREX

I have installed SRM4.0, server5.0 on our iseries and TREX6.1 on a windows 2003 server. I am having issues with the RFC connection from SRM to TREX. I have looked at and modified the TREXRFCSERVER.ini, TREXDaemon and topology files but it still says it can not connect to the gateway.  Any suggestions on where to look? I have looked at trace files on the TREX directory but they mostly say it cannot connect without telling me where to go.
    Thanks,
    Chris sugg

    Hi Yann.
I read the note but we are on SP09 not SP02. Also, from my view, it appears that the note is assuming that the TREX installation and the SAP installtion are on the same server. This is not our case. The SRM, LAC, CCM, SUS and XI components are installed on our AS400 while the TREX and IPC are installed on a windows server. If I use the TREX hostname for the connection, I would think it would only stay on that server and not try to access the SRM (as400) server.
I will make the changes and see.
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • Live Auction: :):(

    Hi Marcin/vangala/jagdish:
I am having a situation where the client wants to bring up the Live Auction Cockpit earlier to the whole SRM 4.0 Base system.
My question is that what problems would i face in processing a Live Auction without the base SRM system in the production environment. (Materials, vendors replicated from the backend which i would need?).
Can anybody tell me how this can be done? If not what are the impacts and issues that needs to be addresssed.
    Please help guys !!!
    Thanks,
    Sunny

    Hi Sunny,
LAC is a Java UI layer that is connected to SRM Server.
That means auction objects are stored in the SRM Server itself (usual CRMD_ORDERADM, BBP_PD... tables).
Master data also comes from SRM Server (vendor & contacts, materials...).
So yo can not run LAC without SRM.
LAC 2.0 is delivered with SRM 4.0 (SRM Server 5.0).
LAC 1.0 was delivered with SRM 3.0 (EBP 4.0).
Prior to this release, SAP auction tools were designed for hosted services on marketplaces (DPE, DA/DB).
If you try to plug LAC 2.0 to earlier SRM system, I doubt it could do anything.

    Hi,
It seems to like problem with your program is not registered.  As suggested by spantaleoni, you can go through.
Here Program Id  must be case sensitive.  Once again check with your program Id.
And, you have to register your program id in Visual Administrator.
    Goto  Visual Administrator:
In that Select Cluster>Server>Services-->JCo RFC Provider
Then enter the Program Id and gw host & service.
    Hope this helps to you.

  • Close RFC Connection

    Hi,
I have some problems with the availibility of my WebDynpro-Application. It seems to be, that to much connections are opened at the same time. Is it necessary to close the connection in the code or should it closed by the system automatically?
To use a model I use the following code(example):
    wdContext.nodeZ_Rfc_GetData_Input().bind(new Z_Rfc_GetData_Input());
    wdContext.currentZ_Rfc_GetData_InputElement().modelObject().execute();
    wdContext.nodeOutput().invalidate();
I don't know if there is a option to close the connection.

    Hi,
    Use below code:
    wdContext.currentRFC_InputElement().modelObject().modelInstance().disconnectIfAlive();
    Please check below forum ,
webdynpro JCO - RFC Connections are not closing  in back end ECC (SM51)

  • JCO RFC Provider problem

    Hi!
We are having some problems in 2 PI 7.1 SP7 Development and Project
systems. Both have the same problem... We cannot see JCO RFC Provider
connections and we cannot create new JCO RFC connections.
Our Project system is copy of development and JCO connections are being
registered on Development causing some problems in proxy connections.
the problem is that we cannot change the JCO RFC connections on both
    systems.
If I try to create a new JCO RFC Connection or even a dummy JCO connection it gives the error "The Program ID already exists. Type in an other name."
These systems are a SAP PI 7.1 upgrade from SAP XI 3.0. In version XI 3.0 the connections were OK.
In quality Assurance and Production we don't have this problem.
I've applied the latest AS Java patches but didn't changed the strange behaviour.
    Have any one notice

In the default trace file we've found something like
    "com.sap.engine.services.jmx.exception.JmxSecurityException: Caller <(>
<<)>some generated user id> not authorized, required permission missing"activate the UME super user, delete the deleted users, deactivate the UME super user and restart the system.

  • Live Auctions + Collaboration

    Hello SRM Gurus,
Is it possible to use CFolders in Live Auctions similar to Bid Invitations in SRM 4.0? I understand that when we convert a Bid Invitation to Live Auction, the Collaboration of the Bids are not transferred to the Live Auction.
Is there a way we can configure Live Auction to include Collaboration.

nacl1023 --> if you haven't received a fix for your Auction zip issue, try updating your JAVA version to the newest one. I had the same issue and this fixed it.

    Hello All,
    *Question -1*
I have checked the connections and typed the steps below - what i have seen in the screen.
    Steps :
R/3 Connection - I have double clicked on the BT1CLNTXXX and tested the connections.
    Connection Type :
    Logon - 0KB , 10 KB , 20KB, 30 KB
    R/3 connection:
    5 msec, 0msec, 1msec,1msec,1msec
Please let me know whether RFC connection is OK or not.
    Question - 2

  • RFC Connection remains open after portal logoff

    Hi,
We have configured Universal Worklist in our EP7 EHP1 SPS4 Portal.
When a user connects to the Portal and launches the UWL it creates an RFC connection to the backend ECC. However, when the user moves away from UWL iview or logs out or closes the browser the RFC connection in the backend still
remains and is released only after the timeout value reached as set in ECC.
Are there any settings on the portal or ECC to release the session immediately once  user moves away from UWL or logs out of portal ?
    Thanks,
    Savy.

    Hi my friend
It costs time and resources to establish an RFC connection, therefore it is not immediately deleted but maintained by the system to be reused. But in case there're special purpose to control RFCs, here're 2 parameters to do so:
The parameter gw/gw_disconnect is a timeout in seconds to close the TCP connection between two SAP gateways if there is no RFC connetion on it for the given timeout. But if there is an active RFC connection onit it will not be closed even if there is no traffic on that RFC connection. Thats why you need another parameter.
The parameter gw/keepalive is used to periodically check all active RFC (and other) gateway connections if there was no traffic on them for the given time.
