LiveType will not work

Hey Everyone,
We have a G5 Dual2 w/OSX 10.3.9 running FCP4.5 and LiveType 1.2
I know we have not upgraded yet but we are an affiliate and not an O&O.
Here's the problem:
We create a cg text in LT and save the .ipr file to one of the hard drives. We then open up FCP and try to import the file. All the LT files are greyed out and not selectable. There is no way to use LiveType at all. We can render a QT movie but that is the only solution so far.
Anyone with any suggestion it would be helpful.

This happened to me after I did an Archive and Install of Panther during a troubleshooting session. Somehow, someway, the component within FCP/QT that handles .ipr files got nuked.
Since I was an FCP 4 owner who updated to 4.5, I simply reinstalled FCP - after downloading it again - and that solved the problem. (No need to reinstall LiveType, in my case.)
If you originally installed off CDs, you'll need to go that route again, but only for FCP.
Or have you tried that and had no luck?

I do not know if it's relevant or not, but I got a message on my ipad while on safari saying that my iPhone has a virus. I looked it up and it seems it might have just been an ad from the website I was on, but it happened around the same time YouTube stopped working.

You will find that using the YouTube app will provide a better viewing experience for YouTube videos.

Suggestions?

- After charging for 1/2 hour or so, does iTunes see the iPod? If yes, restore the iPod from backup.

I was using Lightroom v5.6 when a notice came up to update to v5.7. I did the down load but must have gotten a bad down load because it will not install. And the old 5.6 on my desktop will not work. So no 5.6 or 5.7 . any ideas how to get something

I've always used my firewire cable to update my iPod. I've tried using USB in the past but for some reason it always says that my iPod has low battery and won't let me update it, so I just use firewire. Can I not use firewire with itunes 7?
I'll try using the USB again. It's laying around here somewhere. Just gotta find it.

Flash player will not work on my computer, would love advice

I have windows vista. When I visit a web page that requires flash, it instructs me to download it (even though I'm sure I have it ialready...). I do so, it says it has downloaded successfully but I still cannot view the website. I have uninstalled my current version of flash and reinstalled the latest version numerous times. It even shows up in my list of programs. But each time I visit a site that uses it, it tells me I need flash to view it. Very frustrating. And suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

This was very helpful - thank you. I unchecked "active x filtering" and it seems to be working, under tools in IE. a simple solution, that may have taken me days to figure out myself! Hopefully it continues to work from thiis point forward. Thanks!

Right click your volume icon in the notification area and select "volume control options". From there, you should be able to select the external speakers.

My work computer runs Outlook 2003, which I know will not work with the iCloud, so I hard sync. But then the new info on my iPhone does not backup to iCloud. Is there a solution?

I have a Macbook and iPhone and like to back up to iCloud. However, my work computer runs Outlook 2003, which I know will not work with the iCloud. The company has no plans to update anytime soon. Since the calendar and contact list on my office computer are my primay ones, I hard sync through iTunes. The problem is that any data synced from Outlook 2003 to the iPhone from iTunes does NOT later backup to iCloud. Is there a solution?

I have the same problem with Outlook 2003 and Win XP which the multinational organisation I work for standardises on and will probably stay with forever!

HT1665 I just purchassed a Lightning adapter for my iPhone 5. My car came with the normal iphone 4 connector. I have a protective cover on my phone but now the connector will not work as the lightning connecting tong is not long enough to make contact.

I could do that, however when I select the icloud button (or whatever the heck it is) I am asked to enter the apple id and password. So if you are suppose to create another one for icloud you'd think it would give you the option at this point which would be logical.

Adobe download assistant will not work on my machine?

Adobe download assistant will not work on my machine. When i try to start it i get a message saying "Sorry an error has occurred. This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance." Any ideas what to do

Are you using Mac OS? If so please try removing the Adobe Download Assistant from your Applications folder and try again. This issue is documented in the Known Issues section of Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-download-assistant.html.

I recently purchased new Samsung tablet 2 (10.1) which operates on Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
I have since found out that “Flash Player” will not work on Android 4.0.3
(Ice Cream Sandwich) as adobe is no longer supporting android OS above 4.0
This means I now have many “apps” that I can not us because they require
“Flash” to operate!
Can you assist with this problem?

Are you using the Sky Go app to try and watch it ? If so are you logged in with your Sky account ?
If you are using the app then you could try closing the app completely and see if it works when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Sky Go 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Sky Go app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
