LMS 3.1 Slow after integrating with ACS

Dear All, have any one faced issue of slowness after integrating LMS3.1 with ACS4.2. I dont know how can I resolve this issue. Is there any patch to resolve it...
Any kind of help will be very helpful.

I'm using LMS 3.2 into ACS 4.0 and it actually seemed a bit faster after ACS integration. Nothing I measured but subjectively it seems faster. Both my servers are on Windows and the ACS is across the WAN from my CiscoWorks.
How do your devices fare with their ACS? You can debug tacacs at the router/switch level as one tool. I'm sure one of the cisco guys on here will point you to one of the many logs that LMS generates, possibly with debugging activated, to dig deeper there also.

All the devices not showing after CSM integration with ACS

Hi all
I integrated ACS with CSM and added all the security devices into ACS as client devices.But after integration with with ACS only few devices are shown in the CSM when i logged in as super admin.for all other users (system admin,network operator etc.),no devices are shown in the CSM.Please give me a solution to solve this.

Did you have devices already in CSM when you integrated it into ACS ? Did you make sure that the hostname of the devices is exactly the same in acs and csm ?

MARS 5.2.7 integration with ACS 4.1

I cannot find any documentation I can follow to integrate MARS with ACS. I mean I want to use ACS to authenticate user in MARS.
Any of you know if MARS 5.2.7 has this feature? If yes can please give some info where to find docs?

HI ,
LMS 4.0 no longer integrates with ACS the way that LMS 3.x did. You can still use ACS for authentication in LMS 4.0, but for authorization, each user must have a local account in LMS, and the roles will be assigned using LMS 4.0's new RBAC. Users are defined under Admin > System > User Management > Local User Setup, and roles are defined under Admin > System > User Management > Role Management Setup.
By default, if a user does not have an account in LMS, they will receive the Help Desk role

The problem with forecast reports in SCOM 2012 after integration with VMM 2012

Hello.
I have problem with forecast reports in SCOM 2012 after integration with VMM 2012. All other reports (not forecasting) works fine. For example, report “Host Group Forecasting” don’t work. The report is generated, but I have error: “Subreport
could not be shown”. I find only errors in SQL Server Reporting logs like this:

I have clean installation SCOM 2012 RU1, VMM 2012 RU1. Integration SCOM with VMM work fine.
SQL collation for all SQL DB instances (SCOM and VMM and SCOM reporting) – “SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS”
SQL Analysis service: SQL collation – “Latin1_General” ; language for the server – English (United States)
I think the problem in regional settings. By my opinion there are two possible mistakes:
SQL collation for all SQL DB instances. May be need use “Latin1_General_CI_AS”

Background
There are two possible reasons for this error:
1. Wrong location   The reporting server is pointing to the wrong computer running SQL Server or a SQL Server instance.
2. Insufficient permissions   The account configured (in SQL Server Reporting Services) to connect to the reporting database does not have appropriate permissions for the database.
Solution
To determine which reason is causing the error, attempt to directly open the subreport reporting the error, by clicking the name of the subreport.
If the reporting server is pointing to a wrong location, the report displays an error similar to the following:

To verify the correct SQL Server computer and instance path
In Report Manager, navigate to the report generating the error and click the Properties tab.
Click Data Sources and under a Shared data source, note the path.
Open the reporting Web site. If you chose the default virtual directory for reports, the URL is: http://hostname/Reports/
If you chose to secure the viewing of reports with HTTPS, the URL is: https://hostname/Reports/
Click SCDW.
In the Connection type list, ensure that Microsoft SQL Server is selected.
In the Connection string box, ensure that the correct SQL Server computer and instance name are entered.
Note:
A period (.) denotes the local computer.
If the account has insufficient permissions, the report displays an error similar to the following:

To grant permissions to the SQL Server computer
1. In Report Manager, click SCDW and note the account in the Connect using section. This is the account under which the database is contacted.

3. In the tree, expand Security, and then expand Logins. Do one of the following:
If the user account is listed, right-click the account, click Properties, and then go to step 5.
If the user account is not listed, right-click Logins and choose New Login.
4. In the Login name box, enter the user account (domain\username).
5. In the Login Properties dialog box, click User Mapping, and then under Users mapped to this login, select the System Center Reporting check box.
6. Under Database role membership for: System Center Reporting, select the db_owner check box, and then click OK.

IN LMS 4.2 there is nothing which is known as Integration (like LMS 3.x), since it added feature RBAC.
Now ACS can just be used as PAM to have ciscoworks authenticated for Tacacs+ or Radius. After the auth is done, you should have a authorization set in LMS locally for user, else it will be given a default HELP DESK access.

our customer has a working integration with the Cisco Works LMS 3.1 and an ACS v3.3 as it is described in this document:

I really wish an expert would respond to this thread as it will help a lot of people who might be planning to deploy these versions and they can help put this matter to rest once and for all. Not sure why LMS 3.2 will not support ACS 5.1 and it might help to know when it will (updates etc). Kindly let me know if you get any further information. My deployment is so large that setting a local username and password on all the devices is not an option unfortunately .......

Juniper SSG TACACS+ Integration with ACS 5

I'm working on TACACS+ integration on Juniper SSG firewall with ACS 5, but failed login on the SSG. After checked the log on ACS, it passed the authentication. Do I need to import any dictionary file on the ACS 5 first?

I was able to config SSG authenticate using RADIUS. In order to work with RADIUS, I have to create RADIUS dictionary using netscreen dictionary found @ Juniper. Attach the dictionary.
I'm not sure how to import, but I create the dictionary manually.

Cisco Prime NCS integration with ACS 5.1

Hello,
We've an issue with authorization on NCS system. NCS successfully integrated witch ACS, but there is a problem with one user. All users have equivalent rights under root. There is shell profile with all possible tasks (exported from NCS server) configured on ACS. All users exept this one (unlucky one:)) authorizes successfully. In ACS logs, authentification and authorization status for this user is passed and all attributes (policy, profile, AV-pairs e.t.c.) is the same as for another users. This 'unlucky' user gets a following message:
There is surely no browser or network issue. Tried from different PCs with same result. There is no any local info related to this username on the NCS server. When i change one charecter in the username on his ACS account, everything works well. What could be a possible reason of this behaivour? Thanks!

MacBook slow after upgrading to mavericks--still slow after reverting with time machine

After upgrading to Mavericks OS my 2012 MacBook became slower than ever before. My MacBook was freezing and the beach ball kept appearing. This seemed to be something a lot of people were experiencing with Mavericks, so after other suggested didn't work, I decided to just revert to Mountain Lion using Time Machine. But my mac is still slow--I now avoid using it because it's such a huge hassle. I have 8 gb of RAM, 5.5 gb of which is free. ~98 % of the CPU is idle. Have no idea how to get my computer back to how it used to be. Any suggestions?

Tacacs+ access issue with ASA firewall after integrating with RSA SecureID

Hi,
In my earlier post, I raised the same question but let me rephrased it again. I have configured TACACS+ in cisco ASA firewall and able to access . But when I integrated it with RSA secure ID , I am not able to enter in enable mode. It is not accepting enable password nor RSA passcode. I have created enable_15 in ASA , ACS and RSA server but no luck.
Did any one face similar issue with ASA access ?

In order to help you here, I need to know few things:
1.] Show run | in aaa
2.] When you enter enable password on ASA CLI, what error do you see on ACS > Monitoring and reports > AAA protocols > tacacs authentication > "look for the error message"
3.] Turn on the debugs on ASA "debug tacacs" and "debug aaa authentication" before you duplicate the problem.

i have a strange problem, i have get the jar files of the bi publisher and integrated it with the jdeveloper 11g and it's workin great in viewing reports in all format except the pdf format because we are working on a project in the middle east so we need to render arabic letters, the arabic letters rendered correctly on all formats except in pdf it renders "????? ??? " only question marks, but the strange issue that when we are using the bi publisher desktop and preview the reports in pdf format it renders correctly so we don't know what's wrong right now.... any idea
hope for help, our customer will kick our ass if we don't do this arabic reports

Why has my computer slowed after updating with mavericks

i updated to mavericks .since i did this my computer has slowed and i am also getting problems with streaming can i revert back to mountain lion.

how much RAM do you have?
how full is your hard drive?
what apps are you trying to run when things are slow?
do you have any crapware installed, like
antivirus software
defragmenters
"cleaners"
"optimizers"
how long has it been since you updated? Spotlight may be updating, that can take a while, and things may be slow while it does.
Boot into your recovery partition (hold down ⌘R at restart until you see the Apple symbol), go to Disk Utility, and repair your hard drive. While you're there, repair permissions too. OSX Tips Using the Recovery HD
Try a safe boot (hold down shift and restart) : Mac OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode? . If this works, it means that the problem is with some third-party software you have installed.
Try a test user account: Isolating an issue by using another user account .
That is: if you want, we could try to fix what is wrong. Otherwise, you could certainly go back to ML if you want. IPad like freezing or slow after mirroring with AppleTV

We have an issue with iPad mirroring, some time with some iPad’s (ipad3 or ipad4 with ios 7) while mirroringiPad gets dead slow (freezes), mirrored screen shows black, no content on the projector screen. If we turn off mirroring, ipad becomes normal, but for mirroring to work only option is to reboot (meantime other ipads are OK in mirroring to the same AppleTV). we use wlan .11n. Any advice.

I have tried but as yet have been unsucessful in registering csm with the ACS server.
I am following the the instructions however, nothing seems to work all i get is failed to registar.
