Loading multiple repositories in 11g

Hi,
Is loading of multiple repositories possible in 11g. when I load a repository using fusion middle ware I am only able to see one subject area in Answers.
I would like to see multiple subject areas in answers, How is this possible?

LA, you can see multiple SA using only 1 repository. You can create different projects in your repository, using different data sources and creating different subject areas (Presentation Layer). Then you upload that only repository and you'll be able to see all the subject areas.

How to handle multiple repositories with 11g

Hi all,
this question probably is easy but is right that the only way to manage multiple repositories is to have multiple BIEE 11g installation?
With old 10g with OC4J having multiple installation was quite simple, but here with all weblogic environment is becoming more complex.
I have two branches in my organisation, each one has 3 different environments: test, preproduction and production with a different repository for each one of course.
As I have to meet also High Availabilty requirements I have deployed a two different 2nodes cluster. One cluster has 4 envs and the other one just 2 prods.
All is installed but I still trying to understand or to find a way just to share some resources as for example weblogic server... may a single weblogic installation manage more BI domains?

Did you ever find a solution to this issue? I come from a BusinessObjects background where you can have as many universes (metadata layers) as you want on your server. I'm trying to figure out a way to replicate that scenario with OBIEE. We have some databases that are so completely unrelated that it doesn't make sense to me to have them all in one big repository, but I don't want to have multiple servers either.

Multiple repositories in 1 bi server ...with PS catalog....in OBIEE 11g

Any body attempted to do this ? Having multiple repositories in 1 biserver....with multiple webcatalog used in 2 PS on same machine. This doesn't seem to work in OBIEE11g. Analytics.ear contains lots of new deployment descriptors for web.xml in 11g.

We did exactly what was stated for 11g. The below 2 urls were used to do it 11g . we have 2 urls

http://xxxxx:9704/analytics_appa ( 2nd rep and catalog)
We can see repositories are loaded online but when we access sometimes it goes to the wrong rpd/webcatalog. Some caching or something is going on from browser.
Any body attempted this setup ? We have opened a ticket with oracle but no good response.

11g - is it possible to deploy multiple repositories?

One of our clients was under the impression that deploying multiple RPDs in 11g would be simpler than it was in 10g, where we needed to deploy multiple copies of the BI Presentation Server and point each one to its own repository.
A quick RTFM of all of the 11g docs doesn't reveal any mention of truly deploying multiple RPDs within a single BI Server environment. Yes, of course we can still list additional RPDs in the NQSConfig.ini, but actually making them available to users is another issue entirely.
I know how to do it in 10g: multiple installations of BI Presentation Server. Is there a way to do it in 11g?

I am faced with a similar requirement although the hosting environment for the provider hosted apps would be an IIS web server in our own infrastructure.
Would it be advisable to use a common IIS website to host multiple apps? The MVC web application which will provide functionality
for the apps is already in place which is why we are checking for options to use the same web project for multiple apps.
Can the web config file's clientID be shared by multiple apps?

How to load multiple CSV files into oracle in one go.

I have project requirement like: I'll be getting one csv file as one record for the source table.
So i need to know is there any way by which I can load multiple csv in one go. I have searched a lot on net about external table.(but problem is I can only use one consolidate csv at a time)
and UTL_FILE same thing consolidate file is required here to load.
but in my scenario I'll have (1000+) csv files(as records) for the table and it'd be hectic thing to open each csv file,copy the record in it and paste in other file to make consolidate one.
Please help me ..it's very new thing for me...I have used external table for , one csv file in past but here I have to user many file.

SRM MDM with Multiple Repositories and required S&A.

Hello everyone,
We are in the planning process to migrate from CCM to MDM. Our current environment has two separate customers running on two separate SAP clients in SRM 5.0 using the internal CCM (one SAP SRM instance, 2 separate SAP clients).
In MDM it seems the concept of SAP client does not exist but the concept of an MDM Repository. I was thinking that by creating two dfifferent repositories (one for each customer) it would substitue the concept of the internal CCM on each SAP client.
Can we have one MDM system with two separate repositories one for each of the existing customers with the required S&A?
That is, customer A will logon to MDM to maintain only A's repository. Customer A must not be allowed to access B's repository and viceversa.
Also, Repository A would be published only for users using SRM system under SAP Client A, and Repository B would be published only for users using SRM system under SAP Client B.
The intention is that each customer will have their own electronic catalog.

Hi Martin,
The answer to your question is yes, it is possible to have one MDM system with two separate repositories one for each of the existing customers (that intend to have different electronic catalogs).
In fact, I think this would be the best way to separate: 1. data sets, 2. access.
1. Each MDM repository carries its own data set (like SAP client)
2. Each MDM repository has its own security (users/passwords, roles, etc.)
Another consideration (relates to point 1) is bringing data from SAP client (e.g. product master, contracts). Since you have two different SAP clients, managing replicated data from both of them in one MDM repository would be a form of suicide.
You can have multiple repositories on one MDM server. A common case is when you have a staging (master) repository, and a production (slave) repository. The slave repository is what you show to searching end users; the master repository is for data loads. You synchronize the slave repository with any changes from the master at such time when you're sure the master is good to publish.

SAP Content Server Configuration multiple repositories

Dear Gurus,
We have a content server configured with SAP CRM.
Recently we faced issue with large size of generic object created by user monthly in SAP R/3 (SOFFCONT1 growth ) thus we are considering to use content server for generic object storage.
Could you please advice?
1. As far as I know , I can have multiple repositories in content server thus can have my R/3 and CRM repositories in same content server , Please correct me , Any importent aspect which should be consider while doing such( except growth recalculation and user load for additional R/3 system).
2. We are running SAP R/3 from past few years and we have a huge number of generic objects in R/3 database.
Is it possible to migrate existing generic object to content server?

Loading multiple xml files in parallel

I am using ODI 11g and able to execute a package, which can accept dynamic file names and schema name. This helps me to load multiple files with same structure in parallel.
However, I am getting issue when I try to drop logical schema at the end of the process usinf command "Drop Schema <schema name>", which I am creating before load process.
Error says that there are open connection, which are restricting the process to drop this schema. I have used disconnect command as well not it seems that connection still persists.
Can anyone advise how to forcefully drop the schema, which ODI have created in the memory?
Below is the error message
ODI-1228: Task drop_schema (Procedure) fails on the target XML connection book_xml.
Caused By: java.sql.SQLException: ODI-40700: Schema XSCHEMA cannot be dropped because it is referenced by one or more connections.

Subversion serving multiple repositories with systemd startup

Hello.
I'm trying to set up a simple svn server, serving multiple repositories.
I was able to correctly set up single repository using guide from archwiki, now I'm trying to serve multiple repositories.
I've modified the /etc/conf.d/svnserve file to point to parent directory of those repositories, so instead of
-r /path/to/repos/repo1
it reads
-r /path/to/repos
However when I try to start subversion I get the following output
? svnserve.service
Loaded: error (Reason: Is a directory)
Active: inactive (dead) since Thu 2014-11-20 21:17:01 CET; 18min ago
Main PID: 24680 (code=killed, signal=TERM)
Now, when I try to start svnserve from shell, using this command
svnserve -d -r /path/to/repos
it starts normally and I am able to access all repositories. Adding and removing -d in /etc/conf.d/svnserve has no effect on error message.
Any thoughts?

The problem has been solved.
The error message:
Loaded: error (Reason: Is a directory)
came from systemctl, specifically from /etc/systemd/system/svnserve.service being a directory.
The fix was to remove that directory
sudo rm -rf /etc/systemd/system/svnserve.service
and enabling/starting svnserve
systemctl enable svnserve
systemctl start svnserve
Hope this will help someone having similar problem.

How do I use edge commons composition loader to load multiple compositions with a next and back button?

I am working on an interactive book and have set up each page as a separate composition in edge.
I am using the edge commons JS library to load multiple compositions into a main composition.

The way the edge commons tutorial is set up requires a button for each composition i want to load. I am interested in loading multiple compositions with a "next" and "back" button, and a "swipe left, "swipe right" gesture on the content symbol that each composition is loaded into. I also need the swipe features on the content symbol not to interfere with the interactive elements on the loaded composition.
Please suggest a solution that will work without adding additional scripts beyond edge commons and jquery.

How to load multiple .wrl (VRML) files?

Hi all,
I need to load four components of a coffee table into the virtual universe, the four components are top, base, left leg and right leg. I use four parts not one whole single object because in this way when I change the size of this furniture, I can make the thickness of the edges fixed, which is a must. The four parts consist a table correctly in the design software TopSolid, but when I load the four .wrl ojbect files seperately in the application, they cannot compose a table correctly. I guess the reason is the four components have been resized and translated automatically in the VRML loader. I have reviewed the source code of the VRML loader and some related source code but not be able to find where the auto resize code is.
I have used four Wavefront .obj files instead to do another technical demonstration, if I disable the ObjectFile.RESIZE flag, and just scale the four parts by myself using the same scale factor, I can get a perfect coffee table, with every part in correct location. But my supervisor insist on using VRML .wrl files in our project.
I hope someone can give me some kind instructions or advises on how to do it in VRML97 loader (https://j3d-vrml97.dev.java.net/).
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Unable to load multiple files to Essbase using MaxL and wildcards

I have multiple data files to load:
Files:
Filename.txt
Filename_1.txt
Filename_2.txt
According to the following link, Essbase is able to load multiple files to BSO databases via MaxL by using wildcards:

However, when I try to run the following I receive the following error:

Error:

ERROR - 1241101 - Unexpected Essbase error 1003027.
I can run the following fine without any problem, but this only deals with the first of several files, and I’d rather not hard-code multiple files since the number might vary in the future:

In this case, the ImageLoader.as works only on the last movie clip from the for loop. For example, if i am trying to load three image in three movie clips namely img_mc1,img_mc2 and img_mc3 using the for loop and ImageLoader.as, I am getting the image loaded in the third movie clip only img_mc.
See at the same time, If i uncomment onething in the for loop that is

its working like a charm. But I know creating class objects in a for loop is not a good idea and also its causes some other problems in my application.
So, help to get rid out of this problem.

How to load multiple HTML5 canvas on the same page (the proper method)

Hi,
I've been struggling to load multiple canvas animations on the same page. At the beggining I thought that exporting the movies with different namespaces and reloading the libraries in a sequential flow might work, but it doesn't. It always loads just the last animation loaded. More info here: Coding challenge: what am I doing wrong?
Here is a sample of what I'm doing:
1st: Publish two flash movies with custom namespaces for "lib" set in the "publish settings": "libFirst" and "libSecond".
2nd: Edit the canvas tags in the HTML page. One called "firstCanvas" and the other one called "secondCanvas"
3rd: Edit the javascript like this:

Could someone please reply with the best practice on how to do this? If possible, without the need to reload all the libraries...
If I only need to show one flash movie at a time, would it be more efficient to cut & paste the canvas tag using jQuery in the DOM and reloading a different lib on it?

I was able to fix it. At the end, it was easier than I thought. Just have to publish using a different "lib" namespace for each movie, load all the scripts at the end of the <body> and then add the following to the onload or ready events:

Load multiple files using the same data load location

has anybody tried loading multiple files using the same load locations. I need to do this as the data in these multiple files will need to be exported from FDM as a single export file. the problem i am facing is more user related. since these files will be received at different points of time, users will need a way to tell them what has been loaded and what is yet to be loaded.
is it possible to throw a window on the web broser with OK and Cancel buttons from an event script?
any pointers to possible solutions will be helpful

was able to resolve this. the implementation method is as follows
take a back up of previously imported data in the befcleardata event script. then in the beffileimport event append the data to the import file. there are many other intricacies but this is the broad implementation logic. it allowed my users to load multiple files without worrying about append or replace import type choices
