LOB Integration

Kindly help me.I need to save files as whole in database.Can i use LOB? If I can then how? If not then what datatype can i use?The file can be in any format like word document , RTF document ,text file etc...Kindly tell me a way to store these type of files in database as a whole.Thanks in adavance for your help.

I looked back at the chapter quickly (I could have missed something), but did not see anything about the credentials/authentication. Here is a related blog post the chapter author did:

I have implemented those Jam and REST integration topics on technical reuse layer level. This one is used to support the consuming applications (ByD/C4C/LOB Applications) within their consumption scenarios. Given this - everything that is required from infrastructure level is available in ByD. I did the handover last year. OGG Integrated Capture applies to which version of DB?

If I want to use the Integrated Capture which talks to DB Log mining servers, Is this feature only applicable from Oracle DB 12c or I can use it for Oracle DB v 11.2.0.4.2.

Ya I just read in the DOC. But wanted to be sure. So If I use the version 11.2.0.4.2 all the Integrated features are available by default. So we neednot apply a patch for it.

The database version determines the data type support available through integrated capture:
Full support: To support all Oracle data and storage types, the compatibility setting of the source database must be at least 11.2.0.3 with the 11.2.0.3 Database specific bundle patch for Integrated Extract 11.2.x (My Oracle Support Document ID 1557031.1). Limited support: You can use integrated capture on an 11.2.0.3 downstream mining database for a source database with a compatibility less than 11.2.0.3, but in this mode, SECUREFILE LOBs, XML columns, Transparent Data Encryption, and UDTs have limited support based on database version and compatibility. The downstream mining database must have the 11.2.0.3 Database specific bundle patch for Integrated Extract 11.2.x (Doc ID 1557031.1) applied. Forms6 LOB not compatible with 9i CLOB

We have a table with some CLOB data type fields. Front-end of this table is forms60 interface. As forms60 has LOB instead of CLOB, we have selected the same for the field in form. When we try to enter data through form, LOB related data missing from database and ### appears in place of LOB data in form.

According to the matrix documentation of 11 release 1 which clearly state that 9.2.0.8 can support all as my installation
as following
databases version (9.2.1.0, 9.2.0.8, 10.2.0.4, 11.1.0.6)
Rman catalog database + Schema + Rman utility is (9.2.0.8) database
Now 11 release 2 matrix documentation says no you have to use 10.2.0.3 even oracle documents are confusing me
I have successfully registered all the database in my catalog as well run ( crosscheck archivelog all, report schema ) was functioning smoothly
when its came to the integration part to HP - Data Protector it started to through me an error ( this version of database its not compatible with recovery manager)

I have setup a new technical system and a business system in SLD, but now I still can't find it in Integration Directory.
I knew from the later PI Version, that there was an option to transfer SLD data to integration directory, but now I can't find it
anymore.

Tools (or right-click in ID) --> Assign Business System --> follow the wizard...it will assign the business system from SLD to ID

PreparedStatement doesn't offer methods for that. You can write your own implementation of PreparedStatement which wraps the originating PreparedStatement and saves the set* values and writes it to the toString().
If needed, myself I just print the sql as well as the values-being-set to the debug statement.Logger.debug(query + " " + values);

Can i use OER to store the data from a excel sheet that pertains to the entire integrations ?

i know that the OER can be used to view the entire landscape for the SOA composites and how they are related with each other. However we have a requirement wherein we need to store the data for the entire integration end systems e.g. ebiz, mfgpro, siebel etc ( that is we need to store data one level up).
Also, we want a customized form in OER wherein user can manually add data regarding the integrations.
So is it possible to do so ? If yes, how ?

ok, let me put it this way,
I tried using the import/export utility available under OER admin tab.
When i export my existing assets it generates the .xml file for each asset. Now as i have hundreds on new assets to be created for each asset type i want to be able to create a new .xml file and want it to create the new asset once i import it using import utility. I tried creating a new .xml file giving it a new UUID but it does not seem to work. Has anyone tried this earlier who can give the steps to do this ?

I have Configured the BDC Service application using SQL external content. The connection was successful and I am able to see the external content in the List "BDC Demo" . But when I search in the BDC Demo site it gives nothing.
So I checked in the crawl logs and identified that it shows " 1 " under error. to further drill down the issue , I went to click on "1" and see the error message : Error while crawling LOB contents SharePoint 2013 .
I have created an external DB named BCSDemo_DB for which I have granted my search Service account read& write permission.
I have added the same account under administrators for both secure store and BCS service applications.
I have done index reset , done a full crawl but the error still occurs.
Can someone please advise if I am missing something.

According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you crawled SQL database table in SharePoint 2013.
This error is caused by the fact that the default content access account does not have any rights to access the metadata store in the Business Data Connectivity Service Application.
Or it is caused by the default content access account has no rights on the SQL database.
For fixing it, you need to grant the default content access account permission on metadata store in the Business Data Connectivity Service Application and the SQL database. You can refer to the link below:

After that, do a full crawl for the content source.

OIM 9.1.0 Integration with Active Directory 2008 R2

Hi,
My customer is running Root/Child AD structure based on windows 2003 w/SP2, OIM 9.1.0 deployed under one of the child domains, and integrated with child domains controllers which runs windows server 2003 as well.
My customer has decided to upgrade his AD to Windows Server 2008 R2 domain controllers across the entire AD Forest and still wants to integrate the current OIM v9.1.0 with AD for all of his Users provisioning and password synchronizations.
Am not sure if current OIM version of OIM 9.1.0 is compatible and supported by OIM v9.1.0 under active directory version 2008 / R2, and not sure if it can be integrated with such AD version.
Any guidance is really appreciated.
Also I was thinking of such scenario but also not sure of its support ability and if OIM will keep working on such scenario, the scenario is to upgrade only the AD root domain to Windows 2008 R2 while keeping the child domain holding the OIM 9.1.0 at Windows 2003 version.
Is this a working and supported scenario by OIM v9.1.0 ?

I believe you question should be if the connector supports this architecture. Check out the versions supported for the connector you are using and you should be good.
