Local PO vs ECC PO

Hi ,
We are implementing Bidding Functionality where PR from ECC is pushed to SRM as SC of subtype ER.
Then Bid invitation is created from the SC and published.
Once Bids come from Vendors, one or more are Accepted and awarded a PO.
This works fine when PR has Account Assignment in it.
When a PR comes with Account Assignment as Blank....we got Object ID error.
To Fix it we created Local Purchasing Org and Local Purch Grp.
Bidding functionality works great.
But now the PO generated is in SRM instead of ECC. (we want the PO to be always be in ECC)
Looking forward for your expert opinions.
Thank You
Nikhil

Hi Nikhil,
I have seen some times where on transferring requisition from backedn to SRM, get error
"No account assignment exists".
bbp_doc_change_badi  is active but not doing anything with account assignment
the problem was solved by METHOD
if_ex_bbp_doc_change_badi~bbp_sc_change.et_account[] = it_account[]
BBP_ACCCAT_MAP_EXP during export to R/3 Backend documents
BBP_ACCCAT_MAP_IMP during import of R/3 Backend documents
It is current design that the acc.***.cat. of OLTP is not sent
to SRM but determined with the first found SRM customizing value,
because customizing is customer specific and no general
acc.***.cat. mapping has been developed to convert acc.***.cat. from
OLTP to SRM for the MM document import.
This "lack" can be resolved using the Badi. If you have a clear rule
how to determine the SRM internal acc.***.cat. (e.g. depending on
product categories or products) this has to be developed using Badis.
If not, the first found acc.***.cat. will be assigned internally
to the technical cart. This is current design of the External
Requirement Scenario.
You can use BBP_ACCCAT_MAP_IMP during import of R/3 Backend documents
and BP_ACCCAT_MAP_EXP during export to R/3 Backend documents.
I don't have any code I'm afraid but you should try the suggestion on the DOC_CHANGE_BADI. This BADI is used everywhere and might be better than BBP_ACCCAT_MAP_IMP (my opinion only )
Hope this helps,
Kind Regards,
Matthew

  • Calling a local Webservice from ECC ABAP - Am I on the right track?

    Hi all
In my NW2004s landscape I have an ECC system (ABAP 6.40, Java not configured/linked) and an XI system (6.40).  My requirement is to call a Webservice (WS) from the ECC system.
I've converted an existing Java class (that contains 3 methods) to a webservice (WS) using NWDS.  This WS has then been deployed to the XI system as it is the only one with a JAVA system.  I'm able to view and test the WS methods using the Web Service Navigator on the XI system.  The wsdl for the WS that was generated has the following format "http://<server>:<port>/<webservice name>/<configuration name>?wsdl  (No .asmx extension as per most of the examples on SDN...not sure if this matters).
My understanding is that I should be able to create a client proxy in my ECC system (via Enterprise Services in SE80) using this wsdl and I can also configure a logical port throught txn LPCONFIG.  I should then be able to utilise ABAP to call this webservice?
I've found the blog "/people/thomas.jung3/blog/2004/11/17/bsp-a-developers-journal-part-xiv--consuming-webservices-with-abap detailing this (for a 6.40 system)... but when I attempt the program I get a soap 111 error code Unallowed RFC-XML Tag(SOAP_EINVALDOC).
Am I on the right track? Is it possible to call the Webservice from ECC ABAP?
There are no dumps for me to analyse and I've also tried putting on RFC trace with no success.
Could it be that the WS is not correctly formed even though it works fine when tested from the WS Navigator on the XI system?
    Thanking you in advance.

  • Is B/E ECC SoS in Local SRM PO in Classic Scenario Possible ( SRM7.0) ?

    Hi Experts,
    We are configuring SRM7.0 with ECC6 ( Ehp4) having Classic Scenario .
Our Ultimate Aim is  - To maintain SoS in ONE system only (i.e. ECC) & use the same SoS in both ECC & SRM system, for all documents ( ECC PR, ECC PO, RM S/C, Local SRM POu2026etc )
In Classic Scenario, B/E ECC SoS ( Supplier Contract & Pur. Info Record) are proposing in S/C ( Indirect Mat.) , but these B/E SoS NOT proposing while creating u201CLocal SRM POu201D which is by default  Ext. Classic.
We  are exploring new CCTR functionality  ....but seems complicated and requiered PI...
1.By doing any enhancement , can we pull B/E ECC Contract and Pur. Info Record as a SoS while creating u201CLocal SRM POu201D  ?, If it is possible , then we are ready to do any enhnacement and I'll be most happy
    2. Which BADi is used while creating Local SRM PO ?
    Can anyone suggest/confirm please.
    Thanks
    NAP

    Hello,
In classic scenario, only backend contracts can be used as SOS.
In extended classic, local contracts can be adopted as SOS.
If you are using classic scenario, you should distribute local contracts to ECC. Then, while creating a shopping cart in classic scenario, ECC contracts (which have been distributed) will be considered as SOS.

  • Transfer attachment from SRM SHC to ECC PO

    Hi,
Im working on SRM 7.0.Classic scenario.I need to enable the transfer of attachments from SRM SC to R/3 PO.Can anyone explain the steps to achieve the above?
Also in case of extended classic scenario,is the attachment transferred automatically from the SRM Local PO to ECC PO?
    Thanks!
    regards,
    SRM Tech

    Hello SRMTECH,
You have to do some configuration settings in SPRO
    SPRO>Supplier Relationship Management>SRM Server>Cross-Application Basic Settings>Define Settings for Attachments.
We are also working for the same requirement. We have did following configuration / customization to achieve this.
    - Activated BADI "BBP_CREATE_BE_RQ_NEW" in SRM and set the indicator as follow:
    cs_ctrl_att-BE_DOC_TYPE = 'SRM'.
    cs_ctrl_att-BE_storage_cat = 'DMS_C1_ST'.
    cs_ctrl_att-TRANSFER_ACTIVE = 'X'.
    - In ECC Side T.code DC10 and defined document type for SRM with following
Add a New Document Type SRM (if not already exists). Set 'Use KPro', 'Version Assign' and 'Change
Docs'. Set the Internal and External Number Range (02 and 01). Use MCDOKZNR as Number Exit.
Ver No. Incr = 1 and Set the File Size (Usually 10000000 bytes).
Once the Document Type is created, define Object links to PO Item and Pur Req Item. Use - Screen
Number 247 and Screen Number 248 with Valuation Object of EBAN and EKPO for Objects EBAN
(PReq) and EKPO (PO) for Doc Type SRM.
After doing this changes we were able to transfer attachements but we are still facing one issue as we were not able to open that particular document in ECC / R3.

  • Local SRM PO intead of Extended Classic

    Hello,
Does anyone have any idea how best to resolve the following problem.
We are using SRM 5.0. We have managed to create a Local SRM PO instead of the Extended Classic scenario and so the PO will not transfer to R/3 (where the invoices are entered). The confirmation has also been created in SRM.
Please could someone advise on the best way to sort this out (we have fixed what caused the problem so it will not happen again).
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Jackie

    Hi Jackie
Best option is to delete the PO and confirmation and create a new one in SRM as per extended classic scenario.
Sending a local PO to ECC may not be possible in this case.

  • Interface of SAP with Golden Tax, China

    Hi
Does anyone have some documentation regarding the SAP interface with the Golden Tax, China system( chinese local tax software system) and any documentation relating to SAP, China local implementation in ECC 6.0
    Thanks
    Krishna

    Hi,Krishna,
As I know, the normal golden tax system developed by an third party vendor, and the standard system doesn't include the interface for ERP system connection.
But these few years, they should deleloped some interfact for SAP already, since SAP is popular in China now, you can ask them to buy it.
Then you request a new user ID from your BASIS team for SAP login, then Golden Tax can access SAP invoice via BAPI or other remote function call.
For GT the system, there is some problem occurred for China,
    1) Golden Tax was restrict by 8 line items, SAP got more(you can customize it) .
    2) For the amount, most of company customized tax calculation base on line items, then round, finally get the gross amount; but GT base on total net amount of invoice, then get net amount, finally round. so you have to find a solution to adjust the difference.
    3)Sometimes customer has special request also, you should collect the problems from your customer service team;

  • Integrate HR org structure and CUA?

We are considering a new design for our authorization management on our production ECC 6.0 system.
There will be 2 productive ECC 6.0 systems; which system you use will depend on your global location.  We currently utilize the HR org structure to assist us with provisioning and deprovisioning accounts on our durrent single ECC 6.0 instance, and we hang composite roles off of positions in the org structure, so that a fair amount of authorization management is automated.
If we were to put a CUA client over the two productive ECC 6.0 clients, how might that be integrated with the HR organizational model?  Does CUA integrate well with an org structure?  Any experiences with this would be helpful.

    Hi Mary,
Firstly, are the org structures in the two ECC clients identical - in sync with each other?
If the org structures are different then it would limit the options that you would have:
    - CUA client would simply be used for the provisioning of the user id
    - The role to position allocation would still take place locally in each of the ECC clients
    - You would have to maintain the 105 relationships locally in the ECC clients
    - You would have to set the role maintenance option in SCUM to local maintenance
If the org structure is the same on both ECC clients, then it would provide you with some additional options:
Option 1 - use the approach described above to allow for local maintenance
Option 2 - ALE the org structure to the CUA client, then allocate the composite roles to the positions on the org structure and maintain the 105 relationship on the CUA client.
    - the roles will then be distributed to the correct child system when the org recon is run
Option 3 - Use one of the ECC systems as the CUA client (Which we are busy implementing at the moment)
I'm using my ECC system as my central CUA for the production system, I know that many people would disagree with this due to upgrade requirements and all the rest. However in the Netweaver environment the ECC client is typically on the highest basis release, which caters for the CUA requirement and CUA is far more stable these days which reduces the risk. The other reason we have chosen this route is also the capacity of the ECC production system which is suitable.
Also the HRORG is maintained on the same system, therefore less ALE requirements to move the org structure between systems etc. In the landscape we currently have BI and Portal, future applications/modules include ESS, MSS, APO and SEM.
To achieve the solution I create all roles for all applications in the landscape, in the ECC client - for non-ECC roles the role definition is only role name and description (the correct authorisations are then maintained in the relevant child system). These are then distributed via RFC to the various child systems, it requires a couple of small changes but does work fine. All roles are then inlcuded into a composite role, regardless of which child system the role belongs to. The composite role is then allocated to the position in the HR org and once the HR recon is run, the role allocations are distributed to the correct child system. An example of a Line Manager Composite role would include:
    - HR Line Manager (ECC Client)
    - Cost Centre Manager (ECC Client)
    - BW Line Manager Menu role (Portal)
    - BW Line Manager Data role (BI client)
    - Purchasing Approval (ECC Client)
I'm not sure if this has helped you, but in short the CUA integration with HRORG does work reasonably well and depending on the approach you choose it could affect the amount of maintenance that takes place. Just remember that the structural profile allocations would always take place locally on the ECC clients and only the role allocations can be managed from the CUA.

  • Printing PDF via Adobe livecycle from R/3 ECC to local printer

    Hi,
I am working on an Adobe Form via SFP transaction on ECC 5.0 and an Adobe Livecycle 7.1. I can create PDFs, and send them to spool through a LPDF printer defined in SPAD as a PDF1 type. This is ok to get PDF in spool but I want to send these PDF to my local windows printer through SAPLPD.

    Hi Nicolas,
To avoid problems with SAPLPD you can print the PDF using the control technology.
    Please read the SAP note

  • Multiple Local Product Categories for One ECC Material Group

    Hello experts,
I have a question regarding Product Categories. I am using an Extended Classic Scenario and so, I retrieve Material Groups from the backend. Nevertheless, in order to have a more accurate split than ECC Material Groups in SRM, I would like to create local Product Categories which point on the same ECC Material Group. Eg. :
    ECC Material Group
      - SRM Product Category 1
      - SRM Product Category 2
I saw that I can create this kind of structure in COMM_HIERARCHY and I updated it in the PPOMA_BBP (I set * for backend and for SRM).
Nevertheless, when I create a SC, I can not find the local Product Categories I created?
Do you know how I could process?
    Thanks for your help
    Patrick

    Hi Patrick,
Looks like you got confused in understanding the concept.
You can not create a Local product category (material group) from a back end product category.
You can have both backend R/3 material groups and local product categoris (material groups) parallelly.
That means in COMM_HIERARCHY for R3MATCLASS hierarchy you have two nodes created under that, one for backend material groups and the other for local material groups.
In stand alone scenario or de-coupled scenario you can use local product categories and not in Extended classic and Classic scenarios.
For accessing a local product category you should have a local P.Org, local P.Group and the users should be assigned to these local P.Orgs or P.groups.
If you have such a setting in your org. structure then you can create S.Cs for local Product categories and local materials.
Hope this makes you more clear in understanding the issue.
    Clarifications are welcome.
    Award points for helpful answers.

  • PDF File - local PI - central PI - ECC

    Hi All,
I have a requirement like local PI (7.1) has to pick a PDF file (eg. invoice) from the folder and validate it and send it to the central PI, then central PI will validate and send it to ECC system.
Here my part is to connect the file folder with local PI and local PI with central PI. From there central PI guy will take care to send the datas to ECC system, since i dont have access to central PI and ECC system.
Kindly help me out whether PDF file picking, content conversion, mapping can be done using PI 7.1 and send the data's to the central PI.
Request you to suggest the steps to proceed further.

  • Calling WebDynpros in ECC 6 not from the local portal

    Hey,
we are having a portal in place pointing to another system with ERP2004 end self developed WebDynpro applications in HCM. Now we want to switch to ECC 6 and so we need to have a local portal in this system - correct?
Would we be able to use the "old" main portal to call this local HCM WebDynpros as we did before? Is this supported by SAP? or do we have to use the local portal as a producer portal and connect the the main portal as an FPN?
What are the arguments to use FPN functionallity instead of calling WebDynpros directly?
Thanks in advance and best regards
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
    FPN offers 2 benefits
    1. You will not have to recreate the content once again on the producer / new portal (you may argue that a
        transport would work)
    2. All the role created before are available to use.
So incase u see benefits then FPN is your friend.
In the given scenario, I would simply create the WD views on the new portal.
    Thanks,

  • To Turn OFF ATP check in APO-GATP Instead do locally in ECC.

    Dear SAP Friends,
Currently for Sales orders & Deliveries, we have ATP Check (Allocation Check + Product Check) happening in APO-GATP. We would like to turn-off ATP check in APO-GATP, instead want to do only Inventory Check in ECC locally.
We want to do above for few particular model/plant combinations and not for all model/plant combinations. Meaning APO-GATP will still be used for many other APO relevant Model/Plant combinations.
What are the changes required to CIF Integration models u2013 Salesorder+ATP Check, or any other IM. Any changes specific to material master in ECC - like MRP Controller, ATP Group, Strategy Group or any config changes on APO side.
Please guide me with stepwise instructions.
    Appreciate your help.
    Thank
    Satish
Edited by: SatishW on Jun 18, 2010 9:33 PM

    Hi Satish ,
I am not an expert on GATP but logically what I can suggest following steps :
1.As you want ATP check to happen in APO for few codes, you will have to Select/Tick 'Material Independant Object' - ATP Customization in CIF IM , so that ATP customizing settings are transferred to APO from ECC.
    2. But at the same time you need this ATP check to happen in ECC locally and not in APO for certain products, then in other CIF IM you have to select 'Material dependant objects '- ATP Check where you can set the filter/exclusion on those codes so that the ATP check does not take place in APO.
    3. Also like as R/3's backorder processing, in order itself you can set as the ATP check to occur in R/3 and not in APO.
    Hope this helps...

  • Should  ECC use an local exchange profile?

We know that for PI the exchange profile should always be local.
How about ECC's exchange profile? Should ECC point to its own local exchange profile, OR
