Local xml file for spry usage

Hi There,
After my last post about this subject I have been browsing
the web for an awnser which would enable me to get this done, but
without any success.
What I'd like is a method (javascript or php would be fine)
to get a remote xml feed from flickr to be saved locally for quick
access by spry.
I'm not a real coder, so it is hard for me to find out.
Please can anyone help?

I have been attempting to convert the SeismicXML application from the dev center to use a locally stored file, but to no avail. I have it building and running fine, but no data is appearing. Currently in fusion we are generating a pdf file using given Rtf template and dataModal source through Ess BIPJobType.xml .
This is generating pdf successfully.
As per requirement from Oracle GSI team, they need index xml file of corresponding generated pdf file for their own business scenario.

Using an XML file for server URL instead of hard coding

I can't find a good example.
Could someone give me an example of using a local XML file to set a server url variable so i don't have to hard code url's?
This works and i can trace the xml file but how do i access the individual xml data nodes?

XML file for SEPA Credit transfer

Hi All,
I am working in ECC 6.0. The system was configured to generate XML files for credit transfer as per SEPA guidelines. The files are being created in the application layer. But the line length is being restricted to 255 characters. As per the specifications of a XML file in apllication layer. all information should be contained in one single line.
Secondly the job log for the payment medium creation program contains the below mentioned line among others -
"Incorrect Print Parameter" of message class "0K", message no. 091and message ID I

Wrong currency in intrastat XML file for Zhech Republic

I'm having problem with intrastat XML file for Zhech Republic currency code. In selection I have defined to have report in EUR currency and all entries are correctly in EUR. But when created XML file the currency code is CZK even values are EUR values. XML field <currencyCode>CZK</currencyCode>.
Why and ow this can be corrected?

Working with local xml file

Hi, I would like to work with a local xml file, but I don't want to point to a strict location as I would like my application to run on a few different machines.
Is there a special place within Netbeans project structure that I can place such files?
Say if I try and load a file "somefile.xml" - where is it going to look first?
I have a <default package> with my settings.xml in there. How can I reference this within my app?

When created as <tt>new File("somefile.xml")</tt> it will bee searched in the currend working directory. The problem with that is that it is unreliable what this will be at runtime (once your Program left your IDE...).
You should better get it via <tt>getClass().getResource("somefile.xml")</tt> But in this case the file must be present in the classpath in the same package as the Class aquireing it. Adding a <tt>'/'</tt> in front of the file name expects it in the root directory of a classpath entry.
I have a <default package> with my settings.xml in there. How can I reference this within my app?<tt>getClass().getResource("/settings.xml")</tt>
But in case you include it into the delivery jar file it will not be writable. Also you cannot expect the installation folder of your App to be writable. On startup of your program you should copy your (default) settings to a writable place like <tt>new File(System.getProperty("user.home2),".myApp/settings.xml");</tt> and modify it there.

How to bind to local xml file?

I have a local XML file referenced in my Declarations tag:

I previously had a proof of concept version working with the XML defined in my MXML with a bindable tag:

etc., etc.
I need to place the xml in a separate local file so that changes to the file will persist.
How do I do this and bind to it?

Need help if anyone has knowledge/experience in creating XML files for IDOC processing.
We need to design an input file (in XML format) for creation of IDOCu2019s for purchase Invoices through Interface.
We have an existing input file, which is working correctly. We are trying to modify this existing input file for a new Tax Code (Non-deductible inverse tax liability). This tax code is working fine for manual postings. But, through IDOC, tax postings are not correctly triggering.
Could you please confirm if any one has experience on this, so that I can share more details for resolving.

you can use CALL TRANSFORMATION id, which will create a exact "print" of the ABAP data into the XML.
If you need to change the structure of XML, you can alter your ABAP structure to match the requirements.
Of course you can create your own XSLT but that is not that easy to describe and nobody will do that for you around here. If you would like to start with XSLT, you´d better start the search.

You would probably find it better to search on the PL/SQL forum as this is more their area than Apex.
From what I can see in there (and there are a number of examples that would help you), you need to do something like:

We want to install SAP Fiori Front-End (GW+UI) on the Sandbox system with SAP Netweaver 7.3.1. (SP14)
Gateway component (SAP GW CORE 200 SP10) was installed without any problems.
But I need to install UI-add-on (NW UI Extensions v1.0) and when I try to install it via SAINT, transaction said me that I need to generate xml-file for it (as in General notes for UI add-on mentioned).
But I have Solution Manager 7.0.1 and in MOPZ for this version I do not have option "install Add-on" as it written in Guide for ui add-on installation.
Could you please help me with advice how to generate xml-file for UI add-on installation on SolMan v.7.0.1?
If where is no way, but only to upgrade Solution Manager, maybe somebody could give me xml-file for your system (for NW 731) and I will change it to my needs, I will be very grateful!

XML file for GigE Vision camera

I am working on a design of GigE Vision camera. It should be very simple linescan camera. I implemented the whole required GigE Vision register set, can communicate with the camera in MAX. The problem is that I need to creata this XML file for the camera.There is this XML file here:

What should I do with it? My first version of the camera will have 2 funcions: turn it on and turn it off I am bit confused, because the xml file template has lots of functions, that I don't really need. Should I delete them? Or leave inside with default values? What does minimal configuration XML file need?

Both. The XML is processed by the GenApi software component which then translates it to register operations. The XML file thus controls what features are visible based both on the XML file as well as the camera registers (features in the XML may be conditionally available based on the <pIsImplemented< tag). Next, the IMAQdx ICD file contains the subset of features in the XML file that are available and are tagged as <Streamable>, meaning they can be saved to a settings file.

Possible elements in the instanceconfig.xml file for presentation services

Has anyone here come across a list of all the possible elements that can be put in the configuration file for a presentation service, instanceconfig.xml ?
I have found next to nothing in the documentations, about what can be configured there.
What I am specifically after is: How can I change the default listening port for the Presentation Service? The default port is 9710 and I want to move to another port.
Also, how can I move the JavaHost from the default port 9810? I can change the file OracleBI/web/javahost/config/config.xml to reflect the change. Once the JavaHost has been restarted it starts up on the expected port, but the Presentation Service still tries to communicate over RPC to port 9810. How do I configure the presentation service to search for the JavaHost on a non-default port?
I have boiled it down to my original question: What are the possible values I can configure in the instanceconfig.xml file?
Any comments here would be great.

So, I had a little breakthrough here.
I found in the OBIEE deployment guide, page 142:
To change the Presentation Services listener port
1 Open the instanceconfig.xml file for editing.
2 Locate the <WebConfig> element.
3 Within the <WebConfig> tags, create the element <RPC> and assign it the RPC Listener Port
value for the BI Presentation Services instance, as shown in the following example.
<WebConfig>
<ServerInstance>
<RPC>
<Listener port="9715" />
</RPC>
</ServerInstance>
</WebConfig>
NOTE: In the preceding example, the RPC Listener port for the BI Presentation Services instance
has been changed to port 9715 from the default of 9710.
4 Save changes to the file.
This almost works. The RPC element has been deprecated, as was reported in the sawserver.out.log:
The configuration entry 'RPC/Listener' is deprecated. Please refer to the admin guide for more information.
What I then did was to just remove the RPC elements and leaving the Listener element straight under there ServerInstance element. This seems to have solved the problem.
I still have to figure out how to let the Presentation Service know that I have moved the JavaHost to antoher port ...

You can use this to build XML to represent a gantt like chart.
I did this to build XML to represent employee avaliablity - although we fronted the gantt through WD Java not ABAP - the java applet called is the same (I believe).
Don't underestimate the work required to tweek your data into a decent layout. It took me days.
There may be tools/api to help generate the XML - I don't know of them - I'd look forward to seeing any other replies to this thread from people who have used/built any. An example of a class that generates JNet XML - CL_SPI_UI_JNET - but this does not seem to be a Gantt display.

No local help files for Photoshop CS6 extended

Hi
I wish to use local help files for Photoshop CS6 but only online support is available. Local files are not listed under the Adobe Help preferences. The option to search only local rather than online help is greyed out. I found and downloaded a PDF with of the help files but don't know where to install it or if this is possible. I have CS 5 Creative Suite and this works fine giving the option of local or online help when accessed.
Is there a way to install and use local help files in photoshop CS6?

Hi and thanks for directing me to that article, it should have done the trick. I am using mac mountain lion 10.8.5.
The help system has always operated oddly - I have Photoshop cs6 but also the cs5 master suite installed. CS5 works fine but Photoshop cs6 only gives the option for online help and then directs me to the CC site. There is no simple listing for just Photoshop help in the help menu - presumably as it is not seeing it installed
I tried various configurations in the article, having to set up the folders they suggested. In my case, in a variety of alternative places as I have a boot up volume with the documents folder moved onto a RAID array so the Shared folder is not in the documents folder but in Users on the boot drive. So - confusing - but tried all the likely candidates and folder configurations/locations while following the instructions as closely as possible. Even tried an documents folder alias to redirect the program to the alternative path way.
At least now I have the PDFs and can look through them outside the adobe interface. The problem with the community site being questions regarding photoshop alone, yield answers for all sort of other issues and programs.
Thanks for your help though, which should have worked, appreciated.
