Localhost not working with firefox 7. How do I get it to work with wampserver

used to be able to access localhost via wampserver but firefox 7 just shows a blank page??? I looked at control panel->internet properties but local host is set as exception. Running XP Pro OS.
Chrome 14 works fine with localhost but not firefox 7. I have tried the suggestions I found about:config change a few settings but nothing worked (fixup filter, browser filter). Firefox is showing correct url - not adding a www prefix - but still getting blank page???

Your statements don't seem to go together. To the best of my knowledge `lpadmin` will not run as a command unless cupsd is running. You can either use `lpadmin` or stop cupsd and then manually edit the Printers.conf file. I would recommend using `lpadmin`.
I am not sure what you put in for "command". I presume you specified the page limit. Did you also specify the job quota period?
I had no problem settin a page quoto as a test. I set a page quoto of two pages each hour. My command was:
lpadmin -p EPSON_Workforce_1100 -o job-quota-period=3600 -o job-page-limit=2
I then restarted cupsd to make in case the lpadmin command did not cause it to restart:
sudo launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.cups.cupsd.plist
sudo launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.cups.cupsd.plist
I was able to print two pages. The third page gave me an error while printing message.

Are you using a Mac? It sounds like you are using his computer to sync to. If this is the case, then it will sync to all of his stuff unless a new user is created with your personal stuff on it.
When you want to sync your iPhone to that computer, switch to your user first, and then everything will sync with your stuff. If he wants to hook up his iPhone to sync it, then he needs to switch back to his own username first.

I was able to fix mine. I went to software update and updated a few things. I did not update everything, but only what I thought were the essentials, which I believe was Safari, a security update, and a firmware update.
Then I deleted and reinstalled Itunes yet another time. Now the itunes store is back up again.

The Turnitin system requirements on mention Firefox 3. If it does not support Firefox 4 you can downgrade to Firefox 3.6
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

I was able to download FF beta 4 after trying to install 3.? Both were able to download, but neither of them will come up with the launch wizard to complete the download.

Save the file to the desktop and start the installation with a double-click on that icon after the download has finished.<br />
If you keep having problems then temporarily disable your anti-virus software during the download and installation in case it is causing problems.

My Apple TV works perfectly on one of my Televisions. But when I unplug it and move it to a different room with a different Television it won't connect. Apple Tv White Light is on; iMac can see Apple Tv is on, Wireless Network is Available, Correct Input is selected on the TV - but all I get on the TV is a black screen, not even the apple logo. When I move it back to the original TV it works perfectly again.

Seems likely that the other TV doesn't support the currently selected video resolution.
Either got to Settings for Audio and Video and choose Video Resolution of Auto (if it already has that, then skip this!), or try this:
Change the Apple TV resolution:
Press and hold the Menu and Up button on your Apple Remote for six seconds.
The Apple TV will automatically cycle to the next resolution at approximately 20 second intervals.
Press Play on the Apple Remote to keep the current resolution or Select to manually cycle to the next resolution.

If you have a black screen because AppleTV can't connect with the current setting the method above will cycle screen resolutions so when it finds a compatible one you can select it.
Try a different HDMI lead and or input on the other TV if still having issues.

If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Installing Apps being set 'off' ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. You could also do Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout which will re-arrange your apps and might make it easier to find
